20 Best Shampoo For Dry Damaged Frizzy Hair (2023 Updated)

When I received this product, I’ll be honest I didn’t have the highest of hopes as I had tried shampoo bars in the past and never felt like they were able to clean my hair properly or even lather, so when I got in the shower with my long thin hair, I didn’t have any expectations.

As soon as I lathered up and followed the clear instructions, I was shocked. The bar lathered so quickly and easily and I felt like my hair got extremely clean which I’ve never felt before, I absolutely loved the fact that I wasn’t using extra plastics and non recyclable products.

It’s a bit small and I felt like with one wash I used quite a bit, but I think it was worth it. When I got out of the shower, I wanted to see what the effect the bar would have on my hair without any other products.

My hair dried so smooth, soft and frizze free- ON TOP of the fact that my usually limp hair- ACTUALLY had volume! It was as if the bar really did help out with the fineness of my hair and my hair quality.

I plan on buying another bar and also the conditioner bar as well and plan on replacing my current hair routine because I am absolutely in love. I never thought I’d love a shampoo bar as much as this and I am getting one for my mother who has similar hair as me.

I would most certainly recommend, especially because of the packaging, the naturalness, and how it affected my hair. I am super excited to have been able to try this product.

I really like this conditioner. It brings out my curls, doesn’t weight my hair down or make it oily. I just wish it was a little bit more hydrating. I have not noticed any difference in thickness, shine or length of my hair after using hairburst conditioners for over 2 months now.

Thicker than expected but helps it go much further. My hair had been pretty dehydrated and no conditioner seemed to touch it without messy with my curls and making them heavy and needing to wash more- this is perfect.

Make sure hair is dripping wet, and splash a bit more water on once on, then distributed really nicely, and the thickness really helps clump the curls.

I always look for a shampoo that isn’t harsh, and one that usually contains extra moisturizing properties. I got this, and the last few days I’ve noticed a huge improvement in my hair. It feels much more manageable, silky smooth and soft.

The only problem with this is that product was open and used. The shampoo was not filled to the top.

I find this (in combination with the hair mask) leaves my hair shiny, soft and smelling lovely!

This product is a gem! I’ve used the honey almond scent hair yogurt before and that’s what originally got me hooked into this brand. Definitely there better smelling of the two options lol. I’m currently using the strawberry banana scent shampoo, conditioner, and hair yogurt.

It leaves my hair so super soft the day I shower and even the day after 😍🙌 The only con I could say about these products is the scent. It could be a little over powering for some people and it smells like strawberry kool aid powder before you add the water lol 😆 🍓 🍌 🧴.

I like this hair mask. It smells good and I know honey has amazing benefits that help break down bacteria and hydrate. I only use it once a week. I am almost empty of it. I would repurchase but will probably find a different hair mask next just to keep trying new products to review.

Probably my fave hair mask so far but I’m not an expert in this field. Smells so good. Very natural and not overly scented.

I tried this hair mask from my Boxy charm and I got to say I am going to buy it once I’m finished! I have extremely extremely extremely damaged hair and I have split ends so my hair tangles easily. I have a lot of hair and it’s up to my waist so when I put this on I was a little bit skeptical but when I ringed it off my hair was super smooth! It was not greasy or heavy.

It actually felt pretty soft and non frizzy for about a week. I would recommend this product to all the girls with damaged hair!!.

Im asian with VERY thick, wavy and damaged hair I flatiron it straight very often. I grew out my highlighted hair and instead of flat ironing went with the blow dryer hoping to restore the health of my hair but with no luck.

I was using Suaves imitation of Nexxus Humuctant conditioner and Head and Shoulders but switched to this shampoo after doing a lot of research. I could not be more happy with the results. my hair is SO MUCH healthier.

This shampoo doesnt create any suds but that is really not a necessary component to judge whether a product is healthy for your hair or not. I use maybe a halfdollar size dollop of this for my thick long hair and it does its job.

I follow it up with Neutrogenas Triple Moisture Conditioner which also has HIGH reviews and is a lot cheaper and I think Im set with a combo that Ill use for years. Oh and I also LOVE Fekkais Glossing Cream.

apparently Oprahs favorite product. but its the only cream that weighs down my heavy, poofyhair without making it feel greasy and creates good texture. Ive used many products drugstore and professional and this one is the most expensive but worth every penny.

After years of attempts I had given up my glossy hair dreams, relegating the vibrant silky strands to that of TV Magic, never to be obtained by mere mortals like me.

After my third day of using the Biolage conditioning set I **had achieved the unachievable. ** This set gives you a fool proof way to obtain Hair that is high shine, glossy, soft to the touch, full of bounce and life, and much more manageable.

The best method is to use Biolage’s moisturizing conditioner after the shampoo, then turn the water as cold as you can handle and rinse for 30 seconds. Then apply the Deep conditioning treatment and let soak for as long as possible.

Rinse again with cold water. Let hair dry until damp, then work in the Biolage Leave in conditioner liberally. Gently brush it out and finish by either air drying until damp or blowing out your hair.

While damp I braided it (or used a no-heat curling method) and left it overnight (by far my favorite method). Once a week double up on the deep conditioning treatment and the leave in. You will wake up with beautiful waves or curls that are high shine and glossy while remaining soft to the touch and much more manageable.

If you have to pick two out of the four make your selection based off of your hair type. If you have hair like mine go for the conditioner and a treatment. If you have thick hair that is dry and lifeless I would get the shampoo and one of the Treatments.

I have been using this Hydrasource line for almost a year now and it’s been awesome for my hair / hair type. I was happy to find that a travel size was available so that I wouldn’t need to lug the full size around.

No issues with leaking or getting product out of the bottle. This may also be good for someone if they’re wanting to try the product before committing to a full size. The only thing is that in the past I have gone through products after months of use and then noticed that it was drying out my hair, making it stringy, etc.

so the trial size may not be enough for you to make an actual decision on whether it works for you or not long term. Certain ingredients in products work wonders for certain hair properties so what’s beneficial and amazing on my hair may not work the same on yours.

I have medium to coarse hair and a full head of it. It’s long in length and growing up it was straight. As I got older and processed my hair, it began getting frizzy but still somewhat straight. After consistently using this (along with the deep conditioning mask, leave in conditioning lotion and my heat protectants) I can actually 90% air dry and use a medium / cool setting when blow drying to get it sleek straight without feeling the need to run a flat iron over it – it’s been very beneficial for my hair needs.

It hasn’t compromised the coloring done on my hair in fact, I think my results have started to last longer after my hair got accustomed to it, and my hair has a brilliant natural shine to it without anyone buildup.

I’ve used this product intermittently for 15+ years. Over the last 5 or so it’s become my go-to. I have fine, type 3 curls, low/medium porosity and medium density. I can’t even begin to tell you how many different shampoos/conditioners I’ve tried, and I always come back to this set or the Ultra Hydrasource.

I’ve never experienced any hair loss whatsoever, in fact, I have with other brands and once I go back to this it stops. The smell is absolutely amazing also! I wash my 1-2x a week with this, and in between I use a co-wash from Curlsmith.

I always start with using the detangling solution from this line and brush through in the shower with my wet brush. I rinse, shampoo with this, then use the Hydrasource conditioner or a deep conditioner.

I comb that through and let sit for several minutes and rinse. Even with very dark natural hair and having bleached highlights (touch ups every 3-6 months), my hairdresser brags about how healthy my hair is! I get a trim every 8 weeks, and she always tells me I don’t even need it because of how healthy my ends are, even during post-COVID hair issues I was experiencing (loss and thinning).

My husband also started using this when he ran out of his Redken Brews and his hair is VERY fine and thin, and he said he couldn’t believe how much better his hair looked and felt (he’s also a curly guy, only getting his hair cut/shaved 2-3x year).

I absolutely recommend this, and won’t ever change from it! I’ve been using it exclusively for the last 2 years.
