20 Best Shampoo For Dry Colored Damaged Hair (2023 Updated)

This is the best shampoo I’ve ever used! It smells so royal, my hair feels soft, but the best thing about this is it significantly reduced my hair fall. I was so used to collecting quite a bunch of hair from the drain after showers, but halfway through the bottle, I noticed there’s not much hair clogging the drain anymore.

The only con is that a conditioner should immediately follow after shampooing since hair could feel a little stiff after rinsing. But to me it’s a minor issue since I use a conditioner all the time, anyway.

After drying, my hair looks healthier, fuller, and straight, just like the way I like it.

I was so excited to use the product range even though its quite pricey. Seeing all good reviews made me think that this will probably help my hair get back to normal. However the results of using these products gave me a really bad reaction and a lot of dandruff which was really frustrating.

I couldn’t figure out what was wrong and I didn’t expect that the results would be really bad. The products made my hair nice and soft however my scalp was horrendous. It left me with a very dry itchy scalp and very flaky.

I am refraining from using it and I feel like I just wasted money paying so much for nothing. I have a very sensitive skin and this range just flared up contact dermatitis. It probably works for some but for me it’s actually a nightmare!.

I have long hair (almost touches my coxis; half of it is dyed because I’m trying to achieve a melted effect. from my natural dark brown to grey) So my ends need help to maintain its elasticity, moisture and prevent split ends.

I got everything from this brand that I was able to afford to start taking care of it. (Repair, protect and restorative products) It has passed 2 weeks and I’m planning on keep washing my hair every 3-4 days; I have experienced NO frizz as before, no tangle hair, it’s feels soft , smell great, more manageable.

I hope as I keep with the routine of using only Moroccanoil , that my hair will get ‘repair’ and be ready for my last color sesión 🤞🏼. I’m a costumer forever. Ps. Hopefully you can see from the pictures the texture of my hair (before and after) and Judge for yourself ☺️.

I used this for the first time a few years ago when I went blonde and my naturally Asian dark hair needed some extra TLC. I loved the smell and I loved how soft my hair felt. LOVE THIS SHAMPOO for my husband! I have used it for my curly hair as well. My husband was using the most popular dandruff brand (H&S) and I wanted to get him away from chemicals etc. Convincing him of the idea was difficult because why not stick with what is working, right? But the first time he tried Maple Holistics Hydrate Moisture Control shampoo, he was convinced.

It does have a mild smell (not bad at all- more like a natural smell you would expect). I also ordered the conditioner and he is a happy camper! Ps. He showers 3 times a day due to working out etc. He even let’s me know when we are getting low and that’s a first! ~Happy Customers.

I recently purchased the hydrate shampoo and I absolutely love it. I have natural tightly curled hair. After wearin extensions, I wanted a shampoo that would hydrate my dry ends. This shampoo was fabulous.

I only needed a small amount. It cleansed my hair thoroughly while enhancing my curls. Likewise the smell was very subtle and not overpowering. I highly recommend and plan to purchase again in the future.

I honestly thought this would cost more than it does. It’s great quality, you get a good amount, the bottle is easy to open. The shampoo itself is quite liquid in consistency though, so take care when pouring into your hand! Sleek understated packaging that can be recycled.

It is free from synthetic fragrance, artificial colours, detergents, silicones, MEA/DEA/TEA, petrolatum, mineral oils, phthalates, sulfates, parabens, EDTA and is a cruelty free vegan product. I love this shampoo – it leaves my scalp feeling clean but not stripped.

It leaves my hair shiny, although the scent of the natural ingredients only lasts a little while – which is a sacrifice worth making to have the benefits of the natural (and less damaging for your hair!) ingredients.

This will be my new shampoo brand. I LOVE it!.

I read a review from another user saying that upon using this shampoo, you won’t feel it getting through all of your hair, but it will be in all of it nonetheless. It’s a little hard for me to trust that since my hair gets oily, and if I do miss any spots, it’s very noticeable after I get out of the shower.

For that reason, I went through this bottle pretty quickly, maybe in three weeks (while washing my hair two or three times a week). This product did clean my hair and make it smoother. I was wondering about the effect it would have on my oily hair even though it was suited for those with dry and brittle hair, and it’s pretty good.

This shampoo just wasnt a right fit for my hair. I have tried all the varieties over the years from Davines which I love as a brand and their mission for products truly. All their shampoos have very good ph levels as well compared to most brands on the market that are way too high/alkaline which many dont realize has a huge effect on frizz and drying out your hair and scalp just as badly as hard water all your life and even causing many scalp conditions.

Ive had super dry and frizzy my nature wavy hair all my life so I have always had to be an ingredient nazi and pay attention to these things to really see a difference in my hair. Nounou and Momo are the most hyrdating in the Davines lineup imo even more so than the Curl lines and Oi.

I think Nounou just happens to have more protein per being for really damaged processed hair as opposed to just naturally dry so it worked well enough but but wasnt nearly as hydrating as my staple Momo is.

Also I feel like Momo is truly the least lather which I prefer even with all the formulas being less crazy stripping lather than other brands. Lastly Nonou has that sickly citrus floral artifical scent I cant stand as some of the other varieties in the line have while Momo smells the most natural truly.

I am not sensitive to scents but the super pungent artificial ones that are reminiscent of strong perfume to me are just too much in hair products and similar to what I hate about all the Oribe Shampoos.

I prefer relaxing clean natural scents in everything I use on top of the quality formulas. So Nounou is definitely a good lower ph moisturizing option in the line if it works for your specific hair but Momo will always be my #1.

This conditioner is an all time favourite. If you have a lot chemical damage or just need a lot of extra conditioning this stuff is fantastic. it hardly has any protein in it but tons of good conditioning agents and the ingredients are high quality.

i only use about a quarter – dollar coin size amount for my long high porosity bleached fine hair and it gives my hair so much nourishment. wouldn’t necessarily recommend for low porosity hair though, i could see it being kind of heavy.

I actually use it on and off because I use a bunch of products to revive my bleached hair. But whenever I use it, I’m just amaze by how soft my hair feels. Although my hair looks like a witches broom, it does feel very soft.

I have very thin hair too and when I use it, I feel like there’s still hope for it. Oh and the scent kind of reminds me of that perfume Eternity, it’s a very strong scent but when you apply it to your hair, it becomes a bit more mellow and leaves a nice clean scent.

I do feel like the packaging is pretty neat, but sometimes the product sticks to the cover and it’s kind of weird, but convenient in a way cause I can scoop out what I need and then close it. All in all a very positive experience for me using this product!.

I’ve been using this product biweekly for the better part of a year now, and I really like it. I would use it weekly, but it takes 1/3 to 1/2 a bottle to saturate my hair, and the cost of using it twice as often has so far dissuaded me.

I wash with a clarifying Keratin treatment to make sure I don’t have any lingering silicones or product in my hair that might interfere with absorption, then apply this throughout dampish hair. I usually put it up in a bun and cover with a processing cap to keep it from drying out (since it supposedly stops working once it dries?).

I get the best results if I wait at least 4hrs before Keratin treatmenting, preferably 6hrs. I haven’t gone 8hrs+ yet but I suspect it might work even better. After a follow-up Keratin treatment and condition, my hair feels softer and looks shinier.

I don’t know if it’s actually stronger, but it definitely feels less brittle and more hydrated. I haven’t noticed an increase in shedding or breakage despite dying every couple of months, which I started only in the last year, just before I started using No.

3. Side note, I’ve purchased No. 3 from the manufacturer’s website as well. The products appear identical and, on my hair at least, seem to work the same way. I don’t have a lab to test the actual chemical makeup or anything, but the products I’ve received appear genuine on a cosmetic level.

My hair started thinning a couple of years ago because of a thyroid deficiency and the pills I have to take for it has the side effect of thinning hair. After the second balancing Shampoo and conditionering my hair stopped falling out! I didn’t grow any new hair but the thinning stopped. After a year I thought I would try a new balancing Shampoo and conditioner and my hair fallout started back again.

My beautician told me she wished I had not stopped using the GK Hair balancing Shampoo and conditioner because my hair was really thinning again. I took the balancing Shampoo and conditioner to the beauty shop every time I went.

So long story short I ordered GK Hair balancing Shampoo and conditioner balancing Shampoo and conditioner w/ Argan Oil and my hair stopped falling out. I’ll never use a different balancing Shampoo and conditioner or conditioner again.

I really liked this shampoo. It moisturized my hair and smelled really good after use. My hair looked shiny and smooth after using it and i was able to comb out my long hair easily. Although I only tried a small sample, I feel it was better than other moisturizing shampoos I have tried in the past.

I would definitely buy the full size and I highly recommend this product for anyone looking for a moisturizing shampoo that does the job!.

So I used to color my hair quite frequently which killed it to the point I didn’t think it was able to be fixed. I’ve heard about fave4 a couple times as there is a salon near me who sells it, but I never took the plunge.

Well I got this shampoo in combo with the let’s go light conditioner and I am in love. The smell is amazing. I can tell it helped because my ends were still wet after I brushed my hair LOL. I finally found my forever shampoo and conditioner!.

This is an amazing moisturizer if you love product aesthetics and fragrance! I had a deluxe sample a while back and immediately knew I NEEDED the full size one day. I was able to pickup this full-size 500ML Bottle at Winners for $15.

99. If you need a moisturizer and don’t enjoy fragrance or potentially irritating dyes, don’t waste your money here. For over a month I’ve been using a large bottle of Vaseline’s body cream which is 1/2 the price and works perfectly fine.

But if you want my recommendation – and trust me when I say this smells like ROCKETS candy (but better) you need this! Aside from the added fragrance artificial colour (Blue 1 Violet 2) this bodycream does have beneficial oils and other ingredients I like to see.

Including : Propanediol, Dimethicone, Shea Butter, Savita Seed Oil, Calodendrum Capense Nut Oil, Root Extracts, Sweet Almond Oil, Sunflower Seed Oil, Jojoba Seed Oil and two other notable ingredients that are lower on the list is Ascorbic Acid and Retinyl Palmitate.

This is half the price of many Sephora brand body creams but has great quality ingredients, lovely performance a luxurious fragrance.

My review is based mostly on the packaging, and not the actual product. I bought the small bottle of this conditioner. I was excited to use it and was very disappointed in the bottle. First of all, the conditioner is so thick it won’t come out the squeeze top.

So I decided to take the actual top off and get it out straight from the bottle. Well that didn’t work either, which leads me to the plastic labels that they have wrapped around the bottle. It’s not even stuck on there with glue or anything, it’s loose.

My hands were a little slippery from trying to get out the conditioner and I would constantly drop the bottle because I couldn’t hold onto it. So I had to rinse my hands and the bottle in the shower before I tried anything else.

I definitely couldn’t squeeze it with one hand into the other. I actually had to use both my hands to squeeze it and try and turn it so it would go into my palms. Even then only a little bit would come out at a time.

I was so disappointed that I don’t even want to use it anymore becuase of the hassle just trying to get the product out. It now sits upside down so that hopefully it will come out easier. I didn’t think I had to turn it upside down for first time use! The actual product is ok, it’s nothing to write home about.

So I ended up being very disappointed. I don’t know if it’s that way with the bigger bottle, but it definitely is with the smaller one. So beware, it’s like wrestling an alligator trying to get the product out.

Please change your packaging or the consistency. I don’t know why it is so hard to get out. As much as I would like to recommend this, I can’t.

First thing you notice is the exotic smell. Then the richness of the product in your hand. When I got out of the shower and my hair was dry I was absolutely amazed that after the very first use my hair was shiny and fuller.

I have a few autoimmune diseases that have destroyed my once head full of beautiful, long, thick, abundant and curly hair. I’m now going bald and what’s left is dull, sparse and dry straw like. I’ve wasted so much money on salon products and other internet hope in a bottle.

My mum got me this and the conditioner to go with it because my hair was dry and heat damage had ruined my curl pattern. I’ve actually never shed as badly as I did last night when I used these and that’s saying something because I have PCOS so lose more than the normal amount of hair on my head already.

Even now if I pass my hand through my hair I’m pulling out strands. I can only imagine what long term use would do. In terms of hair texture I also don’t see much of a difference between this and my regular washes, the curls are just as loose and the hair feels just a dry.

Hairbust products are worth every penny. I’ve been using their classic shampoo and conditioner for ages and now I ordered this one and it is even better. Leaves hair nourished and shiny. Also smells great.

Definitely would recommend if you are looking for a great quality product for a reasonable price.

I love this conditioner! I use it in combination with the regular shampoo since l had a balayage done on my hair! After the treatment at the salon my hair were stressed and dry but after start using this conditioner the lengths are looking just full and health again! My favorite for now with the vitamins!.

this shampoo was okay, not phenomenal, but also not bad. I have thick, frizzy, somewhat dry but starts to get super oily by the 3rd day of not washing – hair. this shampoo wasn’t really hydrating – but I did feel like it cleaned my scalp well and never was irritating for my sensitive skin.

I would definitely need to use a very moisturizing conditioner after (which I try to avoid using too much of since I also use leave in conditioner). I wouldn’t repurchase it because of this – I just find myself having to use more conditioner than regular after this product and I just prefer a more hydrating shampoo.

The formula of this shampoo is so hydrating and nourishing to the hair. Even though it’s sulfate- and silicone-free, I was hesitant at first to use it on my color-treated hair. I was pleasantly surprised that this left my fine hair soft, hydrated, bouncy, and smooth without stripping the red color from my hair.

The scent of this shampoo is medicinal, but still herbal and not too overpowering. The ingredients are gorgeous, with so many nourishing plant oils to help protect and add shine to the hair. The price point is a bit expensive for what it is, but I would definitely say it’s worth it.

I like this shampoo, but not enough to repurchase it. There are significantly cheaper natural/organic shampoos that clean just as well. Despite that, this is a solid product. Not extremely moisturizing, but not extremely drying either.

Used mostly when my hair was still relatively clean and I wanted something gentle. Probably could not use exclusively–need to switch off with a clarifying shampoo every once and a while. Strong herbal smell, but not unbearable.

Overall, good but too small a quantity and too high a price for me to repurchase.
