20 Best Shampoo For Breakage And Split Ends (2023 Updated)

My hair is no stranger to color – I’m either working to grow out my natural color or going hard with dye & bleach. I recently went blonde again and my stylist encouraged me to try something like the Ol—— system to strengthen the bones of my hair.

I looked into it and it just felt like a lot of steps and a lot of money, so I looked for alternatives. I was so excited to find that Amika had a system that was only three. In the three weeks since I had my hair done, I could tell that it was a little worse for wear, so I was excited to use this for the first time last night.

Upon smelling the shampoo, I was like “Ohhhhh, that Amika smell!” But unless you only use a shampoo, it’s hard to gauge what it does for your hair. My hair was pretty grungy, so I did double-cleanse and I got a great lather the second time.

Then I conditioned and it was so good… I didn’t leave it on very long, the instructions say to massage it in and rinse. So I left it in for a couple of minutes and upon rinsing, my hair was so soft and felt so good.

I followed with the treatment and then proceeded to air dry for awhile before styling as usual. This morning, my hair is so shiny and healthy looking and I can only attribute it to this system. I would say before you commit your money to a eight-step system, try this!.

I’ve been using this conditioner for years (back when the bottles were brown with paisley print). I have never found a conditioner that worked so well with my hair and smelled SO INCREDIBLE. Alas all good things must come to an end, including this conditioner.

I go to buy a couple of liters (as I do twice a year or so) and see the “new formula” label. No bueno… There is no more incredible scent. The new formula is basically scent free. Just smells very faintly like coconut oil.

It also doesn’t condition the same way. The new formula is a slightly different texture, and doesn’t feel the same on my hair. Hair is left lifeless compared to the old formula. After a few uses, I’m left completely underwhelmed with the new formula.

It’s no different than any other conditioner, and overpriced for what it is now. Bring back the old formula!.

I have baby fine, thin, bleached hair and this shampoo works so well for me. It has a gentle mix of proteins and amino acids that does a fantastic job of rehabilitating burned-out hair fibers without making the hair brittle.

The consistency of the shampoo is very creamy and dense, hair needs to be very wet to activate the foam. Often times I’ll spread it on my hair and add in a little more water on top to make it easier to spread around, but once it’s activated with water I get lots of foam and it does a thorough job of cleaning my scalp without drying out my hair.

After this shampoo I use the Kerastase Extentioniste masque (helps hair grow longer) then I use the Resistance serum for severely damaged hair as a leave-in. This combination leaves me with healthy shiny hair.

I also use the Kerastase Blonde purple shampoo twice a month to keep my blonde looking pretty.

This is the best product I’ve used în my life and trust me I’ve used many. When I say it’s the best product I refer to the strenght it gives to the hair and stops fall out. According to my hairdresses Olaplex is better because olaplex actually fixes the broken bonds în your hair, whereas this shampoo superficially fixes them.

I’m not saying she’s wrong but for me it was the other way around. I tried this shampoo after bleaching my hair last year and it did wonders. Not only did my hair not fall at all (literally 0 fallout, insane I know) but it also thickend my hair to double the size within a year.

I then thought to myself why not try the other Kerastase ranges – worst decision ever, rubissh. I only found this shampoo to work best and highly and sincerely recommend it!.

I’ve been having issues with thinning and breakage for a couple of years now and it really does seem like I’ve tried almost everything. I kept my expectations low but since a lot of friends have used and liked Olaplex I decided that it would be worth it to try and so far it has been.

Obviously it can’t cure thinning due to stress/genetics but the texture of my hair has approved tenfold since I started using the No 0, 3,4,and5. Since my hair is quite fine and thin I use the bond building treatment and hair perfecter 1-2 times a week for the past month.

I have color treated hair that gets dry and frizzy if Im not careful. This conditioner has completely changed my hair, making it soft and so much healthier looking. It is very expensive so it took me awhile to actually buy it, but it has lasted me such a long time.

I bought the big bottle and it has been over 8 months and I still have half the bottle left so it lasts. Keep in mind you only need the smallest amount since it is so rich. About a quarter size amount gets all my hair which is pretty long.

I wish I didnt like it so much since it is so expensive but it does make a noticeable difference.

My hair drives me crazy sometimes. I have dry scalp, but my actual hair will easily get greasy looking if I don’t wash it every 2 or 3 days. Mainly due to the shampoo and conditioner I have to use to prevent my dry scalp.

Dry shampoo helps a lot, but I wanted to cut back on how much dry shampoo I had to use. I totally envy people who can wash their hair only once every week or two. Already had this product. Getting low and bought it again. I also recently purchased a bottle for my D. I. L. to use on my granddaughter. Granddaughter has very long thick wavy/curly hair that tangles badly, which other conditioners seemed not to be able to help.

I used it on her at my house and her mother told me she wanted to know what I used on her. She was able to comb Granddaughters hair without the usual fight, since it wasn’t tangling as usual. Mother and Daughter are much happier during time to do hair.

Shampoo with hydration? Who knew?! Most shampoos dry my hair out so much, but after using the hydra help shampoo, my scalp felt super clean but nourished! It also didn’t fade my color. The smell is amazing! I have GOT to get a mini bottle for vacation and a jumbo size bottle for my shower.

I absolutely love the Mane Choice’s 24Kt gold line. I use the shampoo, mask, cuticle control leave-in, and gel each week. I decided to purchase the rinse out conditioner because it was on sale. It smelled great, moisturized my hair, and had somewhat decent slip; however, the most frustrating component was the packaging.

The conditioner is far too thick for the bottle. It’s actually thicker than the mask. I was so frustrated. I won’t repurchase, due to the packaging and the fact that I have cheaper conditioners, like the one from the original line, that do a much better job and are cheaper.

I love this product and it was recommended by a stylist at Ulta. My hair is breaking because I’m transitioning to grayish salt/pepper natural color (and no longer using hair dye) but still heat styling my hair.

It works really well but I wish it didn’t have added fragrance. The scent is pleasant, I just prefer to not have the added fragrance. I noticed my dry hair was immediately softer and more manageable.

I have used many salon products and bought Goldwell due to the 1 litre special. I am sold , Goldwell is the best by far and I highly recommend these products. I am 61 yrs , my hair is fine ,I colour my hair every three weeks and this can leave it dry and frizzy.

I started with Goldwell colour Ex rich shampoo and conditioner and was impressed. After I colour my hair i always find it goes frizzy so I bought the colour shampoo and keratin colour conditioner to use as a treatment and it makes it amazingly smooth ! As my hair is fine the Keratin is too heavy to use on a regular basis but great when my hair becomes frizzy due to colouring or humidity.

Depends on how my hair feels on the day what products I use. Love these products !.
