20 Best Shampoo And Conditioner For Soft Hair (2023 Updated)

I’ve been using Olaplex for over a year now with no complaints, it did the job and kept my hair healthier when I was bleaching. However, I’ve stopped bleaching for the most part but kept using Olaplex but just found my hair was lackluster so I wanted to try something else.

This is one of those shampoo and conditioners you’ve always heard about but never really thought much of because there’s always a newer more talked about product, but I wanted something that would make my hair shiny and the litre event was on at Ulta so I decided why not.

OH MY GOD – not only is my hair softer and shinier than ever, but my waves are back!!! I’ve been convinced that I just ruined my hair completely from all the bleach and I would never see my wave pattern again, but one use of all soft and they were back instantly! I also am one to go a week, if not two, in between washes and while this shampoo and conditioner has made my hair softer and shinier it hasn’t added any oiliness so I can still go my week or so without washing.

I am so glad I switched to this and that I got the litre, it transformed my hair in ways I didn’t even think would/could happen!.

This new treatment contains argan oil which is a powerful antioxidant. It also has hyaluronic acid. This unique ingredient works by holding moisture in hair when it is wet. I have long hair with dry ends.

I used this leave-in treatment on my damp hair after the shower and was surprised to see such a noticeable difference. My hair felt softer and shinier. It was easy to comb thanks to its hyaluronic acid content.

I am so happy to discover such a beneficial product.

I’ve been using All Soft products for 15 years. Formula has changed, but still the best product out there for my hair. I will change brands or type temporarily, just for a new scent or a change up, but always come back.

I have shoulder length, coarse, curly, frizzy, dry, highlighted, formerly brunette hair. I’m turning gray with some hairs feeling wiry. I use tools to straighten my hair. This product softens and strengthens my hair without feeling oily or weighted down or fly away.

I’m a lap swimmer (100 laps,) and prefer to swim in the sun (AZ) and the average summer temp is 104. I coat my hair well (quarter cup), massage it in, squeeze out the excess, and twist gently and pin it up tight, making sure all hair ends are tucked inside, underneath.

After a swim, shampoo out. Hair will show NO DAMAGE. I know. I swim (and wash my hair) almost everyday and my hair stylist can’t believe it! Hair looks shiny and healthy and strong.

Let me start by saying I wash my hair everyday. Those who do not, need this shampoo/conditioner! The smell is amazing and will help you with the dirty/oily smell. I rotate Ouai and Olaplex, even after using my olaplex treatments I can still smell the Ouai! I just bought the leave in conditioner yesterday and honestly, after applying it and then styling my hair, my hair has NEVER looked and felt better even on my olaplex #’s 4,5,6,7 and 9 days! I have very thin, slightly wavy, processed hair.

I blow dry and straighten it almost daily. Again, I was rotating the two brands because I wasn’t sure if the Ouai was actually “correcting” my hair or not. I really just liked the smell. After using the leave in conditioner by Ouai, I’ll stop the madness and money spending on all of the Olaplex products and just use Ouai from here on out.

I can’t tell you how many people have stopped me and asked what perfume I was wearing, the smell is that great! My doctor even asked and he said is was such a soft, beautiful smell.

I only dye my hair about twice a year because I’m lazy and I maybe use heat on my hair once every two weeks (cuz I’m lazy). I would consider my hair quite healthy and I just wanted to give it an extra umph in softness.

I purchased the Redken all soft mega shampoo, conditioner, mask the leave in hydra melt because I thought it would be a more affordable option of moisturizing strengthening than what I was using at the time.

I have medium/thick density coarse straight hair that was previously color treated/lightened but it was overall in great condition due to the products I was using how I cared for my hair. I used half of the whole all soft mega line before I noticed it made my hair was feeling really dry, dull brittle I was suddenly getting breakage.

I stopped using the line spoke with a few hairstylist friends who work with the line they mention sometimes people can get overly proteinized hair (dry, brittle, dull breakage) with this line because of the type amount of protein they use in it.

Be careful using this line speak to a hairstylist who works strictly with Redken to make sure its the right line for you.

This conditioner is the ****. I have a sensitive scalp, skin, nose, you name it. My husband is also extremely sensitive to fragrances and anything chemical based. He’s gotten bloody noses from the smell that has stuck to my hair after using other conditioners.

It’s that bad. So when I googled “best fragrance free conditioners” Paula’s magic elixir popped up. I’ve tried every brand known to man, every budget, diy concoctions, nothing has been fragrance free AND left my hair feeling even remotely soft/healthy.

Then walked in Paula. Game changer. I can even use it as a leave in conditioner and it leaves my hair feeling luxurious and soft. Best part? My husband doesn’t have a reaction from it. I still get the help and health my hair needs while also feeling beautiful every time I use it.

Seriously, my hair will turn gray and brittle if they ever discontinue this product. Side note: I also have color treated hair and it doesn’t have any adverse effects on that either.

My skin is SO sensitive that I swear I could break out walking down the conditioner aisle in the grocery store! This conditioner was out of stock for months, and my hair was struggling! Finding a decent no fragrance conditioner was hard, but a leave in one too? Impossible. To be honest out of fear of it going out of stock again I’m going to use a scented in shower conditioner, because where this product shines is as a leave in.

As someone with frizzy wavy hair when I put this in before blow drying – it stays smooth with NO GREASE. Plus as someone with scalp eczema it’s the only leave in that hasn’t irritated me. PC please don’t let this go out of stock again.

Very difficult to get the thick conditioner out of the bottle. Should be in a squeeze tube. Conditioner itself is very good.

I’m a big fan of TRESemmè as a brand and have used their shampoo and conditioner for a number of years now. I changed brands a few months ago to try something new and although at first it was fine, gradually it wrecked my hair and left if very dry and damaged.

The rich luxurious moisture conditioner sounded good so gave it a try. Can honestly say after the first use my hair is so soft! I still have a long way to go but will definitely be carrying on with this bottle.

I would like to say that you only need a tiny bit even with medium long hair. If you use a lot then it will result in almost greasy hair which nobody wants. Use a little bit and enjoy your silky hair! Bonus is it smells BEAUTIFUL!!.

I bought this shampoo + conditioner set because it was a really good bargain. The set was good to my hair, but it wasn’t great. As a wash your hair every other day kind of girl, I just settled. At least it was keeping my hair clean for 12 hours.

As soon as I heard about the lawsuit filed against Tresemme, I poured this set down the drain. You can’t even recycle the bottles in my area. What a shame, this set was a waste in every way possible.

I remember the first time I ever saw the effect this product could have on a person’s appearance – it was truly a shock to me. I ran into a childhood friend who’s always had beautiful, long hair that was always frizzy, especially around her face.

I have very thick hair, damaged to some extent from years of straightening with irons. This shampoo of this same range smells great, lathers very well and doesn’t leave residue nor does it leave the hair feeling parched.

The conditioner is the perfect follow on. I would advise using them together to see max benefit. The conditioner can be left on a mask or used and rinsed off. It left my hair silky/smoother/less frizzy and more manageable.

If I wear it natural it sits nice in curls. If I dry and straighten it doesn’t look too fried! Love it. Will use again but as a duo.

I LOVE THIS STUFF!!! This is my first time using Nature lab products, I recently switched over about a month ago and I am so happy I did!! Before I used naturelab products I had visible dandruff and an itchy scalp which no products were helping me with.

But ever since I switched to the shampoo and conditioner (I use the volume Shampoo and the shine comditioner) my hair has never felt or looked better!!! It’s shiny but also voluminous, my ends don’t get as dry if I wait a week until my next wash.

Amazing! I love this conditioner so much! I purchased 3 more bottles so I didn’t run out. It literally made my hair look like silk the very first time. It is concentrated so it doesn’t take a lot of it to work.

I have a lot of long hair and I used 8 pumps the first time. I realized I didn’t need to use that much and after experimenting I found that I need 3 pumps for perfect cover. The scent isn’t very strong and has a fresh scent.

I can’t leave out the packaging… this bottle is beautiful and I will be keeping them to use for other products.

I had the opportunity to try the Tresemme Keratin Smooth Conditioner thanks to being invited by Beauty Crew to trial the shampoo and conditioner. I have shoulder length dry and colour damaged hair, so am happy to try anything to make an improvement.

Not only does this product contain keratin, the formula also has avocado and marula oils to smooth hair and prevent frizz. The conditioner comes in a white plastic bottle with 675 ml of product. I think it’s important to note that the bottle is made from recycled materials.

It isn’t completely opaque which means you can see how much product is left. The conditioner has a pleasant fragrance of fruity vanilla that is not overpowering. The conditioner is easy to distribute through my hair.

After leaving in for a few minutes I proceed to rinse, feeling the deep moisturising to my hair. Once dry my hair is manageable and soft. I am impressed with the amount of volume my hair now has that is smooth without the normal frizz.

I love using TRESemmé Color Revitalize Conditioner. It works just as great as the shampoo. It made my hair feel soft, smooth, silky and touchable. I loved the fresh scent that was also in the shampoo and lasted in my hair all day.

I had less tangles in my hair and it was easier to brush through as well as manage and style. My hair had a healthy nourished voluminous look to it. It also moisturized my hair without weighing it down or making it look greasy.

This line seriously changed my hair. I’ve been natural since 2012 and even after my big chop in 2013, I’ve never seen each of my strands defined. I don’t do wash and go’s because there is simply too much frizz.

When I started using Redken All Soft, that changed. It’s been a little over two years, almost three and the difference is amazing. For reference I have thick, low-porosity, type 4 hair. I thought it was 4c but since finding a moisture regimen and products that work, I’ve discovered my hair is actually 4b.

I have beautiful “s” shaped curls that pop now with just water! I found this formula in TJ Maxx and I’ve been hooked. Not only is it the huge jumbo size, it’s much cheaper and the sulfate-free formula doesn’t weigh my hair down or cause buildup on my scalp.

I received this product for review and all my opinions are my own. If you are looking for a conditioner that will turn your breakage heavy locks right around, continue your search. This conditioner left my hair feeling like straw and as if it had a film on it for days.

Even after using “build up buster” by devacurl – which is what I use after 5 day dry shampoo’d hair – it still felt like there was a silicone film on it. I do enjoy most redken products, I think you pay for what you get with them.

But this product isn’t even worth $5 at the drugstore. I have pretty damaged hair due to constant lightening in the past mixed with having every color of the rainbow put into my hair over the years. I also have pretty fine hair so any kind of damage leaves a dent.

I’m in shock. I’ve been searching for a product to help with my frizzy, super dry, damaged hair. I’ve bleached my hair so much and it shows. I’ve tried expensive conditioners and leave ins, but they did nothing for my mess that I call hair.

I have been using this shampoo for a couple of weeks and I can say that it is definitely a nice shampoo and using it is a very pleasant experience. I have curly hair, with bleached ends, which are quite damaged, and my hair is quite frizzy.

The shampoo foams well, there is no extra effort needed to foam it and you don’t need much to wash the hair. It doesn’t weigh the hair down, it is not overloaded with product, however my natural roots which are about 10 centimeters long, are definitely less frizzy and do not get dirty too quickly.

There is usually a dilemma: shampoos that I tried before either clean well, but do not make hair smooth, or make hair smooth, but it gets dirty in a day. With this shampoo, my hair is smooth, but at the same time it stays clean.

I usually wash it every other day, and it is not unbearably oily by the end of day 2, as it usually happens with smoothing shampoos. And I just enjoy using it. It is easy to apply, it doesn’t have any strong smell, just very close to being perfect.

My length is very damaged, so I don’t count on this shampoo to restore it, I have other products for keeping it in normal state. But my roots definitely benefit from it. So I highly recommend giving it a try as it definitely is a good option.

I saw this product on a show. They showed a lady to has heat damaged her hair using hot irons, curling irons, etc and was experiencing serious frizz as a result. They treated one side of her hair with the shampoo, conditioner and no frizz styling cream and the other side they left untreated.

They proceeded to use a steam releasing appliance and viola, her hair did not frizz. These products work to eliminate frizzy hair by blocking humidity – and without weighing hair down (sulfate-free).

First thing I notice as I am using the shampoo, my hair is not tangling as usual and the shampoo has a very nice citrus scent. After rinsing out the shampoo, I used the conditioner. I used according to directions and my hair felt wonderful and moisturized.

Next, I used the leave-in conditioner and began to blow dry my hair. These products left my hair with lots of shine, manageable and so light, bouncey and straight that I had to look twice. I do color process my hair so it was very important that I used a product which did not strip or dull my color.

It rained that day so I had a chance to see if the product worked. It did!!!!! Now this is my new favorite product and I give it five stars!.

Ok so I have curly, coily, tapered-cut hair. My hair is VERY fine, dense, and colored. Usually my issue is my hair doesnt look like it does when it does WET, after it has dried. It gets dry, crunchy, and frizzy, and nothing I use ever really keeps the hair looking hydrated for more than a day.

the 3 N 1 Mane Choice. OMG. I’d intended to use it like a cowash, and rinse it out. But my hair felt AMAZING. Soft, supple, thick and just juicy!! So I left it in – and it dried FRIZZFREE! Looks SOOO good.

At the time I was also watching Laura Vitale on YouTube and if you haven’t noticed, she’s got some nice locks of hair! When she made a video she mentioned that she was using Bain de Terre’s set, and so I stumbled across the Keratin Smooth Infusing collection while checking out the Bain de Terre.

I decided to check it out since it was only 4 bucks. I ended up buying both the Bain de Terre and the Tresemme. I still enjoy using the Bain de Terre, I love the lather of the Tresemme! It lathers so well and smells really good! The smell: really nice and fresh, will stay on your hair throughout the whole day.

⭐ Results: my hair feels soft and light and full of volume. I recently purchased the hair serum for frizz and the heat tamer spray, and I got to say, they work really well together. I would definitely recommend to people looking for an afforable shampoo and conditioner set that will make your hair smell and feel really good.

I love Tresseme as a brand. I really do. I have just starting balayaging my very dark,almost-black hair,and I usually buy salon brands. Before I started coloring,I always had Tresseme in my shower. So I figured I’d try this line,the keratin line,as it’s recommended for color treated/bleached hair.

And it works beautifully. Color safe and leaves my hair soft and with volume, and significantly less frizz(my hair gets very frizzy in the Summer). I love Verb,Olaplex,Paul Mitchell,Ouai,etc,but I keep this shampoo/conditioner always.

It’s so good and so affordable. I definitely recommend it.
