I have been using this shampoo for years. I do not use the average drug store shampoos and conditioners anymore as to lessen the chemicals my family uses on our body and hair. This Theraneem shampoo is scented with pure essential oils such as rosemary and peppermint.

It is very invigorating and you can feel the clean you get after shampooing. But, it’s an all natural clean which I feel comfortable with using on myself and rest of family. It does not have a thick consistency and may even seem watery compared to the average shampoos out there.

But, do not think that has anything to do with its cleaning power. The essential oils in this alone clean dirt and kill bacteria so it is very potent at doing its job. Then, of course, there is neem oil in this which is known for medicinal properties for the skin and hair.

Neem also is used to rid parasites, head and body lice, acne, fungal and bacterial issues, etc. You can google ‘neem medicinal’ if you’re interested in learning all about that. It gives you a pick me up as well because of the peppermint and rosemary oil in it.

I even use it on my back when I get occasional acne there. Highly recommended to anyone that wants to use a safer, natural, yet effective shampoo.

I’m a California girl who moved to North Idaho a few years ago and everything changed. It took a year for my skin to adjust and it’s usually good now except for in winter. My scalp gets so dry and flaky with the winter weather I needed something that would help.

I tried a couple different products and I found one that was semi-helpful in the store but always seems to be out of stock. So that led me to try Derma E. I bought the scalp relief shampoo and conditioner and absolutely love them.

I saw an immediate change my scalp and my hair. I have curly Puerto Rican hair some of which I bleach and use vibrant color on. I find the scalp relief shampoo completely stripped my hair but it’s immediately replenished by the conditioner.

The only downside I found to this is the actual bottle the shampoo is in. The plastic is hard to squeeze which makes the shampoo hard to get out. I wish the plastic was a little more flexible and less stiff.

Despite that I will probably buy this again and continue to use it. It does have a thing with feeling on my scalp which I like I know longer have flakes or dry skin so it’s worth the cost.

I tried these products twice to make sure that I fully experience the rapid renewal shampoo and conditioner and to honestly give my honest and straightforward review. The healthy scalp rapid renewal shampoo conditioner with pea protein claimed that these products helps to protect hair against UV damage and add strength also the brand claimed that these are non-medicated and sulfate-free surfactants.

Others thought that these products are fragrance free but please read the ingredients first. The last ingredient is Fragrance (Parfum). Reading helps. My hair is prone to tangle and I observed that these shampoo conditioner definitely lessen the tangles.

Would like to mention every single ingredients however they are too many. So better check and research the ingredients. I’ll give one example of ingredient: Sodium C14-16 Olefin Sulfonate a cleaning agaent or “surfactant”.

Ingredients are contains of both synthetic and natural. One more ingredient is the Pea Protein a high quality protein. I must say this is the only ingredient I like in these products. The remaining ingredients are too chemically made.

It’ll be better for Johnson Johnson to create products that are more natural and plant-based.

If using the shampoo, this conditioner helps to restore the hydration moisture. It’s a nice conditioner but CONSIDER THESE NEGATIVESâš ï¸ ğŸš«The ingredients list the scent as merely “fragrance” which could be just about anything at any number of quantity.

Aside from the umbrella term, there are also other harmful chemical agents; Cocamidoproply Betaine (Irritant) that causes the dryness if used too frequently, Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate which is basically an Endocrine disruptor.

🚫Another negative consideration, this product is under the “Johnson Johnson” label and from what I’ve researched, their tests are NOT cruelty free. They have been proven to test on animals. If you live a Cruelty-free lifestyle, you’ll refrain from this set.

I in my life have tried practically every shampoo sold anywhere. My search has ended , I discovered Body Shop Ginger Scalp Care. It’s perfection, fragrance is an understated mixture of ginger and orange/lemon couldn’t tell but let’s justify by saying citrus.

My hair is fine, length short reaching chin, layered in the back. My scalp although never experienced dandruff is dry and I use Oribe oil to the ends. Usually I air dry my hair, try not to overdry hair during styling.

This product has really changed my routine. My hair feels so nourished and soft I wait 15 minutes after washing then I start my styling. Using this product I need less of my other hair products. The shine is fabulous and I have been asked what products I use.

I am reviewing the treatment only (the packets) because that’s the only thing I’ve tried but I think it’s essential for anyone who has ever bleached their hair and seen it dull over time or anyone who lives in a place that has hard water or a city (which tends to have harsher, more chlorinated water).

This product is basically an exfoliator for your hair- it removes all the gross buildup in your hair and brightens your hair if it’s been filled over time (particularly by chlorine). I live at school in a city (Atlanta) and I can feel that the water there is worse for hair and skin.

When I use the treatment, my hair starts to smell metallic because the treatment is scrubbing the buildup (including metallic things in water, like copper) out of my hair. I would only recommend using this once a month because it is reeeally scrubbing your hair and you shouldn’t be doing that every day.

Your hair feels softer, lighter, and smoother afterwards. Overall a very interesting product that I will definitely continue to use!.

The amount of hair that came out of my head while I used this for 2 weeks is truly astonishing. I normally use head and shoulders, was trying to find something with less “bad” ingredients I figured this said “long and strong” or “full and strong” extra bonus.

Wrong. I have very long hair, I’m 29 and I lost handfuls and handfuls everytime I would touch my hair in any way while I was using this shampoo. Handfuls in the shower drain was constantly clogged, had to clean out my brush or comb multiple times while brushing my hair I couldn’t even wear my hair down I had to keep it braided because so much would fall out all over everything when it was down.

I bought a different shampoo, my “shedding” lessened up a little bit within a week or two then I ran out of the other shampoo and used this one time since I had nothing else, figured it should be ok just a one time use, nope had horrible hair loss again for a week.

I don’t know what exactly it is that’s in this that my hair doesn’t like but I’ll be sticking with head and shoulders. I am not ok with losing that much hair.

Unfortunately, this is probably the worst shampoo I have ever tried. I have shoulder-length colored hair. It is very fine and not a lot of it. I always need help with volume and have slight flaking. I wash my hair in the shower.

I shook the bottle well (per the instructions), put a quarter sized plop in my hand, rubbed my hands together and started with the top of my head. This shampoo was thick and would not disperse through my hair.

It does not lather well or spread well at all. I couldn’t really even get it to my scalp. I thought maybe I needed to use a little more. Didn’t help! The small areas where the shampoo was sitting on my hair now felt like wet straw.

At that point, I had to just thoroughly rinse my hair and use my regular shampoo. I did go ahead and use the corresponding conditioner, with my regular shampoo, and I did like the conditioner. This shampoo will be going back.

The bad: – The shampoo for bhs Full Strong is very thick and difficult to lather even with fully wet hair. I usually have to use larger than a silver dollar amount of shampoo to get it through all of my mid back length, thin hair, which is a lot more compared to my regular shampoo.

– The only other issue with the shampoo is that it dries out my hair. The good: – The bhs is not fully dandruff proof. I still get some, but it’s less than my regular shampoo/conditioner combo. – The smell of the shampoo is pleasant.

– I did not get as much hair falling out with this combo compared to others I’ve tried in the past and currently use. Overall: I prefer my regular shampoo due to how much I have to use and how much bhs shampoo dries out my hair.

Got this for my husband who’s dandruff amazed me. He was using head and shoulders and still getting flakes afterwards. If you have problems with flakes on the scalp and other stuff is isn’t working this line is great! He originally was using the scalp build up remover once a week but has discovered he dose not need it more than maybe once a month.

The smell is fantastic and refreshing (a bit minty initially).

I really enjoy this conditioner! My main issues with it are the small amount of product and the actual bottle. This conditioner is very light and requires a lot of product if you cover your entire scalp.

The bottle is also very difficult to get the product out while in the shower. It does help with scalp care and does not have a bad smell!.

I have dealt with eczema on my scalp for as long as I’ve lived. Typically using prescription shampoos, this stuff has equally don’t the job. It smells AMAZING vs my prescription. I will probably use this forever.

I have chronically oily/greasy hair. I have been on spironolactone for years for it which managed it great but I am trying to get pregnant and had to stop which then made the greasiness come back. I tried multiple products and nothing really helped.

I came across this and although the price was a little more than what I would want to spend I gave it a shot out of desperation. I also used the conditioner with it. 1. ) It helped somewhat but I wouldn’t say it is worth the price.

Instead of absolutely having to wash my hair every day I could “get by” with skipping a day but my hair was definitely greasy by the afternoon of the second day. 2. ) The smell is not that great. I definitely expected something lighter and more refreshing and this was not it.

3. ) The shampoo does not lather that well. It will after massaging for some time but it does take a minute or so. The bottles are not very big so I try and use a small amount so it takes a little while to make sure it is lathered well enough to cover my whole head.

4. ) not that we need instructions on how to use shampoo and conditioner but I was kind of surprised there is no direction on how much or if you should leave it in your hair for a certain amount of time on the bottle.

Overall, it has helped and I would say to give it a try, but if you have hair that gets greasy after 12 hours don’t expect a miracle.

I bought the shampoo and confition online, and have been using them together for about 2 weeks. To start, I LOVE the smell. I’m not sure how to describe it. It’s a little musky, almost like a nice man smell, which I, a lady prefer over the more floral options out there.

That being said, I don’t think these products are for me. During the washing process, the shampoo makes my hair feel very dry and tangled, making conditioner absolutely necessary. The conditioner made my hair feel very silky and soft while wet, but as my hair dried it still felt a little course, almost brittle.

I can usually make it two days without needing another wash, but my hair was SO oily the second day, like my scalp had been stripped and was trying to replenish itself. My hair is naturally fine and straight.

It did well with the damage remedy for a whole, but the conditioner started to feel too heavy. With Aveda, you can’t bot condition or you don’t, the shampoo performs best with the conditioner. Overall a bit disappointed, and this is one of the more expensive shampoos they sell.

Im bot sure if I’ll be able to return is anywhere local, I will have to do some digging.

Short review: If you have oily hair and you can afford it, this shampoo is the absolute best thing out there and you should buy it right now. It’s totally worth the investment and it will make you love the way your hair looks.

Long & rambling review: I usually have normal hair with dry ends and can use pretty much any old shampoo I want on it, but once every few years my hormones seem to throw a hissy fit and give me pimples and temporarily super greasy hair.

It goes away after a few months but it’s nasty while it lasts. It’s only happened three times in my life so far, but the first time it happened I remember I got so desperate after I’d bought about five shampoos for oily hair and none of them had worked that I ended up trying dishwashing liquid on my hair (that didn’t work either – don’t try it at home)! In the end, the only shampoos that were actually effective at de-greasing my hair were the Herbal Essences Drama Clean (in the green bottle) and this one.

Obviously, the Herbal Essences is SO much more affordable, but it’s horribly stripping and takes all the colour out of my hair if I’ve dyed it. I’m not an expert on hair, but I have been told by hairdressers that shampoos that are as stripping as the Herbal Essences one end up exacerbating the oiliness of your scalp in the long term, so they’re not a good idea except as a temporary fix.

Compared to the Herbal Essences, this one is in a whole different league – it’s so gentle on hair and scalp (even on coloured hair!) yet just as effective on sebum build-up. It’s an absolutely beautiful shampoo that does exactly what it says – rebalances the scalp so it’s not as oily in the long term, as well as in the short term.

I really, really love it and recommend it. HOWEVER, I do think it’s incredibly expensive for a shampoo. Perhaps that’s just because I’m used to being able to get away with using any old cheap stuff usually? Anyway, since my greasy hair seems to be a temporary anomaly I’m happy to fork out the money to deal with it until it goes back to normal.

But if I had to deal with oily hair in the long term, I’d definitely be looking around for something a bit cheaper, although I don’t think I’d ever find anything better than this.

The Body Shop Fuji Green Tea Shampoo conditioner dup is perfect for summer and humid weather but i will suggest it not to use in winter unless you have oily scalp or oily hair. I have normal hair and normal scalp which tends to get dry in winters and this duo alone is not enough.

So I use this duo alternatively with my moisturizing shampoo-conditioner that time. Also The body shop does mention that this is for normal hair. Both shampoo and conditioner are free from silicons and dyes but Shampoo does contain SLS.

I love using it. It is very good purifying shampoo and hydrating conditioner duo and works better when used together. My hair feel cleaner than ever whenever i use this duo. This is one of the mildest one in this category I have used so far.

I am definitely going to repurchase in summers.

If you have dry hair tips but roots that can get oily, you’ll be really happy with this! The other shampoos I tried before dried out my hair tips even more and it was a big problem for me. This shampoo really helps my hair to maintain balance.

Effect was noticeable from day 1. I have used a lotion through the doctor on prescription 2 times. The effect was that the eczema with large flakes came loose and then I could continue for a few weeks until it was so bad that I had to do another course of treatment.

Then I did some research myself. Active ingredient : Ketoconazole. It has not been available without a prescription for a while, but has been incorporated into this shampoo. After the first wash: flakes on my head.

My hair also fell differently. Wow, I’m curious. Since then I have used it almost daily and no more eczema at all. It was really bad, embarrassing but now it’s gone! Will it give me more and fuller hair? No idea and no interest.

I wash my hair every morning with this shampoo and leave it on for at least 3 minutes. I’ve been doing this for over a year now and not only does my hair look better; it also feels fuller. Plus, I see less hair in my shower afterwards.

i get everyone is different so here is a good review. I have veey coarse wavy blonde hair (part middle eastern, part scottish. this stuff is fluffy and can frozz pretty bad. Currently half virgin hair and the bottom is my dump dye for 12 years burgandy.

Ive used the same Herbal Essences ive used since middle school but the sulfate was killing my scalp. I did still use the coconut hydration on my ends and man are my curls amazing!!! i revently stopped using heating tools, and i thought is never get it to cooperate but this twice a week with my conditioner, and my oil (i use beard oil on my ends and even with that ive had zero oily issues.

Just nice ringlet curls finally). So i suggest this stuff but slip conditioner, dont wash as much. tweek it to what works for you, but it really is nice for build up ans itching. I’ll probably go back ans forth with my normal shampoo but for the dry winter, this was a life saver.

I recently moved out of the humid southern USA and began noticing more flakes in my hair than usual. I was still using my regular shampoo but the flakes were new so I figured it had to be the air drying out my scalp.

I bought this to give my scalp a little extra moisturizer. I was shocked! I started seeing noticeable results the second time I used it. The flakes were basically gone. 1 or 2 more usages after that and there we no more flakes at all.

Even less flakes than when I was living down south. My flakey scalp was cured in about a week. What I really love is that while the directions note they recommend using it with every wash, as long as it’s used twice a week you’ll still get the desired results of a dandruff free scalp.

That means I can still jump in for a quick rinse when I needed and don’t have to get bogged down by a lengthy hair care plan. I will say the bottle is a little pricey but I definitely recommend it. I truly can’t believe who well it worked and so quickly! I use a scalp brush with mine to really tackle the flakes.

This product definitely works but I tend to use this product for a specific reason. And much like my other reviews I always find an additional use for a product that a lot of people tend to not realize about.

This product works really well with getting rid of dry scalp. And so I have no complaints there. If you have just dyed your hair a colour that you don’t want it to be in the end then just so you know you can use this product repetitively to fade out hair colour that you have just given yourself in the event that you quickly want to change to a different colour or back to the original call you want.

There is a large quality of peroxide in this and the peroxide acts like a type of hair colour stripper. Just bear in mind that this products when used repetitively can dry your hair out while it heals your scalp and so you do want to use a large amount of conditioner when you use this product even if you’re using it just for dry scalp issues but especially if you use it repetitively to remove hair dye from your hair.

I dye my hair once every 3 or 4 months and if I have an issue which seems to happen twice per year attends to grab myself a bottle of this and use it for the month that I am trying to remove a hair colour.

I don’t have dry scalp issues so I don’t typically purchase this nowadays for issues of dry scalp since I learned that I previously had a dry scalp because of the amount of chlorine and hard water in my home water system.

When that changed I no longer needed head and shoulders for dry scalp issues. If I go to a city like Toronto however their water is so brutally hard there that by the time I’m finished from vacation I come back home and suddenly I need Head and Shoulders again to give myself a treatment of dry scalp until my own scalp comes back to normal.

Upon using this shampoo the first couple times I immediately knew something was off. My hair had never felt so stripped and disgusting. I messaged 100% pure after trying it out a couple times and told them I can’t use it, due to the experience.

They gave me a refund right away but I was still do disappointed. I continued using the ****** coconut conditioner I purchased, and used this shampoo as a detox shampoo that I would use every few days, because I genuinely hate wasting things.

This is a long story, but I decided to mention everything because maybe this will help someone else. I’ve had scalp issues for decades. My issues included: dry, itching, burning, scaly, sores, bumps, thinning.

My scalp has been miserable. I have tried tea tree oil, vinegar, OTC dandruff shampoos, medicated shampoos, “personalized” shampoos, organic shampoos, no poos, various specific ingredient-less shampoos, masks, leave in treatments, home remedies, scrubs, scalp massagers, and probably much more.

I have suffered from a diverse array of problems regarding my hair/scalp. Too oily, too dry, too itchy, too sensitive, etc. My most recent issue was itchiness and dandruff. Just like the description provides, it took about a week of using this product for it to fully soothe my scalp.

Funny thing is, I wasn’t even paying attention! I just noticed one day that I felt no discomfort and no dandruff! And I knew that The yesto tea tree and sage shampoo was the cause. Besides being a seriously effective product; The smell of the tea tree is not too overpowering and the packaging is convenient.

So for anyone who is interested in this shampoo, please do give it a chance. It’s vegan and cruelty free! P. S. I have straight asian hair and live somewhere humid if that helps.

Hair/scalp is complicated *big sigh* It’s been a few weeks and scalp wise I see and feel a big difference. With other products I could wash my hair use it for a while and I’d still have flakes, patches on my scalp, and lots of itching.

The amount of flakes was embarrassing. I would pat my head to keep from creating more flakes. It was a mess literally. Now there is little to no flakes and the itching has gone down. The only con would be my hair isn’t as soft.

It’s not dry or crunchy just not as soft. It’s not a deal breaker but just wanted to add that. I should have taken before and after pics but my expectations were low. Overall I’m very pleased and will purchase again.

The shampoo itself was OK; the smell was gross. I have short straight grey hair which I style with wax into perky hairstyle which I get many compliments on. My hair is not thick but not baby thin either.

I bought this shampoo because I was having some scalp issues (keratosis). In the end I had to go to the dermatologist to have it treated by burning it off (several visits as if they are too aggressive, you get a possible bald spot!).

The shampoo could not solve that problem. The shampoo was shampoo. It didn’t strip my hair and it didn’t over soften it (I do not use conditioner, I don’t have enough hair for that). What I could not tolerate was the smell.

I always look at reviews for what people think the product smells like. I am sensitive to smells. This had good reviews. I cannot be the only one who thought it smelled atrocious. It smelled exactly like diesel fuel or rank diesel oil that’s been through a dirty engine, or perhaps smelly dirty muck at the bottom of a stinky pond.

Even so, I finished the bottle, but used it ever other day and in btwn used something that smelled better. I figured perhaps my hair products would cover any lingering smell. Sorry. I usually love Grove products.

I have always had scalp psoriasis and have tried every single prescription shampoo there is. The prescribed products were extremely harsh on my scalp and worsened my scalp and hair. Within one use of this product (in combination with the conditioner), my hair and scalp improved.

It lessened the itching and the dryness immediately. I used the shampoo and conditioner for months and by the end of the summer, my scalp psoriasis completely healed. In addition to a clear scalp, my medium/long, straight hair became incredibly soft and shiny.

The shampoo is thick and lathers nicely! It also smells citrusy and clean but is not overly scented. It doesn’t strip the hair, in fact the shampoo felt very moisturizing. The conditioner is very thick and smooth as well and left my hair feeling soft and my scalp feeling moisturized and relieved.

The products are gentle enough for daily use. I absolutely recommend this product. I won’t use any other product on my hair again!.

I have gone through two bottles of the new shampoo and conditioner. I was hoping that I would love the products the same as the original formula. However, what was a great product for me has now been downgraded to an average shampoo.

Benefits of the old formula: Hair was clean (very clean) all buildup removed. A small amount of shampoo generated an amazing lather and rinsed out clean and fast (I have thick long hair with a light wave-curl, medium width strands).

My hair felt amazing afterwards (light, clean, brushed easily and smelled great). I travel a lot for work and love how little I could pack and got better results than any other shampoo I have tried. I often switch shampoos when visiting arid environments to keep hair from getting static.

Never had this problem while using the old formula. I sometimes have to backpack into remote areas and love being able to clean hair and feel refreshed while away from civilization (the ease in which it rinses out a benefit when water is limited).

I have to use much more of the new formula to obtain similar results and it has never left my hair feeling quite the same as the old formula (a nice feeling but not great). I have taken to using products I purchase locally which give similar results and are cheaper (no shipping :- ).

Please, please, please bring back the old formula! I will be a life long customer, I promise.

I’m torn with this shampoo. I can’t stand the smell (think dishwasher lemon rinse aid), but I can get over that. It’s cleared up my scalp psoriasis in just a few uses (which nothing else has ever managed!).

My hair is clean and healthy looking. BUT it seems to be giving me dandruff, even with daily washing and extra rinsing. :-(.

This shampoo was one of my favorite purchases. It leaves my oily scalp nice and fresh, without any itching or discomfort. Balanced my dandruff issue too, after a couple of uses. Also love the fact that it’s natural at a huge percentage.

Foams up lightly, but that’s not an issue at all because it’s natural and that’s normal for those type of shampoos. Also you don’t need a big amount to wash your hair properly.

I have tried a lot shampoos but this one is actually one of the best I have tried in a long time. I have a sensitive scalp and almost every drugstore shampoo irritates it. This shampoo by apivita is my savior.

Plus the ingredients are great as well.
