20 Best Shampoo And Conditioner For Dry Hair And Scalp (2023 Updated)

I got this shampoo from influenster in exchange of my honest reviews. I love trying new shampoo and conditioner products and seeing what each one has to offer. I hadn’t heard of any with hyaluronic acid before and was eager to see if it stood out above other shampoos I’ve tried.

The bottle of this shampoo is a neat square shape which is different from other shampoos out there, but it didn’t fit on my shower ledge where I put all the rest of my products. I had to put it on the edge of the tub which I don’t prefer.

It is easy to squeeze out and comes out a little thick. From the picture I thought it would be blue which it isn’t, only the bottle is blue. That’s not a big deal, I guess it was the inner child in me that hoped it would be a cool color.

That’s a plus for anyone who doesn’t want unnatural dyes in their product anyways. When I put this on my hair it took a while to lather and I actually went back for a little more product to get it worked in all over my head.

It’s not too strong though and it doesn’t last after being rinsed out. It didn’t feel particularly moisturizing as I lathered it over my scalp. After the shower my hair felt clean and lightweight. Whatever drawbacks the shampoo seemed to have in the shower evened out with it being a perfectly acceptable shampoo out of the shower.

My hair wasn’t any more greasy the next day.

I’ve been having problems with moderate dandruff recently so I was excited to give this product a try. It seems to have helped with the drandruff… but by making my scalp peel off in sheets instead of small flakes… Either way, my scalp still itches.

And unfortunately now I have a visible line in my hair where people can see my head peeling. It looks almost like a sunburn peel without the redness. It’s honestly disgusting looking. I was hoping it would finish peeling and then stop, revealing new fresh hydrated scalp skin.

Unfortunately it starts peeling again after a few weeks. The only reason I gave this product 2 stars is because it did clean my hair like a shampoo should. I usually give my friends the products I don’t like, but this is going into the trash instead.

Also, the bottle design is horrible. Almost impossible to squeeze out the product with one hand since it’s so thick.

I tried this shampoo since the clarifying shampoo wasn’t at my store (I guess its discontinued???) and I will be returning it. I noticed immediately when rinsing that my scalp did not feel clarified or that oiliness had been removed.

I checked the ingredients list and BAM, there it was: amodimethicone, aka silicones that belong no where near a shampoo for oily hair!!! My scalp was not cleaned, and the next day my hair was so oily it looked like I hadn’t washed my hair for 5 days.

To add salt to the wound, a 6th grader commented on how oily my hair was. I agree with a previous reviewer that non-sulphate alternatives in a clarifying shampoo is an oxymoron and don’t belong in a clarifying shampoo.

Silicones + non-sulphate alternatives = nightmare for really oily scalps. I think this product is mis-marketed and would be a good shampoo for dry scalps. Honestly don’t know how there’s so many reviews saying their hair is clean.

But I am very disappointed and will be returning.

I love this shampoo. It really does the job taking care of my #itchy dry scalp. Bonus it works fast. Your head feels great after using it. Con it’s extremely expensive. The bottle is small. You go through a bottle in no time at all.

This works so well. It does the job. I use this every once in a while. It lathers my hair really well. And I love the smell of this. I don’t think it needs improvement. It removes all of the dandruff.

It also leaves my hair smelling nice. I am satisfied with this product.

This stuff works after one use. After second use, no more itchy scalp. Downside is the this shampoo is very drying and will literally will leave my hair “ squeaky clean”. Meaning too much moisture is stripped from my hair.

I have 3A curly hair, and I need moisture. But at the same time, my scalp gets extremely itch some months. So I do wish they had something not so harsh, but for the purpose of the shampoo, it definitely works!.

Hello everyone. I came across this product. I mean I was constantly looking for a mild chemical free shampoo as I was facing a postpartum hair fall. I fortunately came across the Tree To Tub. Soapberry shampoo.

I also read its contents, and I thought why not? I give this a try and uh it’s amazing. It’s not only gentle, it’s also paraben sulfate uh silicon free, which is required for the water today. And also apart from the stress and tension that we go through, we require this kind of a shampoo, which is a very mild gentle on the scalp as an and we can use this on a daily basis.

So this is an amazing product for all you women out there who want to get their hair shampooed on a daily basis without having to worry that you know, it can be harsh on their scalp. Uh it can cause hair green issues.

This is amazing. I can’t wait to try and just try their shampoo. I can’t wait to try their other products, especially their conditioner. So my hair actually feels a lot more gentle and a lot more thicker fuller bouncy without even having to do blow dry my hair or straightening my head.

I just feel so moisturized and so nourished in just one or two uses. So I can see the difference right there and I would love to use their other range of products. I suffer from dry scalp which itches something bad. Scratching then leads to scabs which causes me to pick them. Then my head gets tender and I can’t deal. I bought this in hopes of alleviating that itch.

But this did more than that, it helped with my overall scalp issue. It’s natural. If you like the smell of tea tree it sure does have a lasting scent (which I love).

Wow. I was researching dermatologists for my dandruff before I decided to try this set in combination with scalp shower brushes. I have tried Head and Shoulders before and it kind of worked, but the flakes allllways came back.

I liked the natural ingredients in this product, especially Tea Tree instead of all the harsh chemicals I found in H&S. My dandruff was bad. Really bad. Like snowglobe status bad. If I ever scratched my scalp I would get a bunch of gunk underneath my finger nails.

I would always wear the crown of my hair all the way slicked back or put my hair up in a tight bun to hide my flaky azz scalp. So Maple Holistics was the final frontier for me before I would seek professional help.

And let me say I am so glad I never spent my money or time at a dermatologist! This product truly is working miracles for me. I would recommend using this set with a scalp brush you can find online for either $2-$7 (I bought two to test out the difference) to really work the product in.

I have struggled with a flaky scalp for years. I have tried many methods to combat my dry scalp – from rinsing with ACV and using medicated shampoos. None have achieved my desired result of a flake free scalp until I started using Maple Holistics Tea Tree shampoo and conditioner.

Did olaplex let you down? Have you purchased every shampoo/conditioner/deep conditioning mask/dry hair treatment in the book? Well I have. I’m a victim of purchasing too many hair care products that claim to add moisture and hydration to my hair, only to find that the claims fall short leaving me hopeless and disappointed.

I am what they call a serial “one time purchaser” of hair and makeup products because I am NEVER satisfied. “Repurchase” is not in my vocabulary. I have a fairly full head of hair but the individual hair strands are on the thinner side.

This combined with the fact that I’ve been dying my hair blonde since I was a preteen has lead to a clinical case of extreme dryness. Against my better judgement, I bit the ultimate blonde bullet and went platinum in 2018-2019 only compounding the damage already done to my hair.

Maintained platinum status for about a year until the damage became unbearable and seemingly irreversible. I gradually darkened my hair until I reached my now hair color of chocolate brown, however I am still expediting the consequences of subjecting my hair to all that chemical damage 3 years later.

Clearly, I’ve been through the hair ringer. After just ONE wash, my hair feels healthier than it did when I was 13 (now 25) with virgin hair. My hair even air-dried beautifully. I never thought I’d be able to escape my straw-like hair texture.

I did buy into the hype of the olaplex system and found that it did nothing for my hair. Left my hair heavy and unmanageable. No longer will I have to suffer after discovering this hydration line from Moroccanoil.

This will be my first shampoo/conditioner repurchase in probably 3 years. I do not have enough good things to say about this product. I did also purchase the leave in conditioner and would recommend it.

It is truly a relief to not only see but feel what a difference this shampoo and conditioner has made for me when nothing else has. 20/10.

Premise: I am not sure why it is so hard to find a good shampoo for oily hair. There used to be many competitive options years back like Herbal Essence shampoo for oily hair. Overall experience: I opened the beautiful bottle of Shampoo.

The shampoo when I used it the first time had a nice pancake texture and a soft smell of rotten cabbage. It reminded me of the smell my garbage can has when I open it to put new garbage in. It definitely has that putrid soft lingering smell.

Also does not lather up very well. I noticed that there was an intermittent texture of sand in the shampoo that occurred every time I used it. If you purchase this product you will also need to also purchase a good hair conditioner to go with it.

There is no lemon, or musk scent to cover the other permeating oder. Pros On the positive side it does clean my oily hair. I used it for a week hoping it would grow on me. I realized though after a week I would not be able to stand using it until it finally ran out.

I returned it and bought another product from a competing vendor. Bottom line, to be acceptable to me it has to smell good or not smell at all (not have a bad smell). It also must work to wash my oily hair.

Based on my experience not recommended.

Used to use the original clinical strength shampoo and it worked amazingly well, definitely the best shampoo I’ve ever used for my skin condition. For some strange reason you decided to discontinue that shampoo and replace it with three new versions, like this one.

None of them work, in fact they’ve probably made my Seborrheic Dermatitis worse. First I tried the Manuka Honey version, that didn’t work so I tried the Advanced Oil Control, again didn’t work. The whole thing seems kind of shady to me, why would you discontinue a fantastic product for three products that don’t really work.

Maybe you think that if we keep suffering with our conditions we will keep buying your products? In reality I’m going to stop buying your shampoos because they don’t offer any relief. If you’d have just kept the original formula we would all have kept buying it because it works really well.

Perhaps, you thought the new versions would be better but I doubt it, considering you haven’t brought the original back after all these requests and complaints. Seems intentional.

I have dealt with seborrheic dermatitis since I was born, it originated as cradle cap when I was a baby. Over the years I have dealt with an itchy, burning, bleeding scalp that I used to be ashamed of.

This shampoo is the only shampoo that works against my seboherric dermatitis. I have tried so many products but everything fell short. This shampoo is starts working immediately after the first wash.

The shampoo reduced my scalp itching and redness to zero. Finally, I got my sanity back. My dandruff was completely gone after the third wash. It gives a cooling sensation when applied – feels heavenly on itchy scalp.

However, the only con is – it makes my hair very dry and frizzy. I also noticed an increase in hair fall after using this shampoo probably because of a dry scalp. So, I use it sparingly, only when I have a dandruff outbreak.

I also make sure to use a good deep conditioner to make my hair softer. Smells like any other dandruff shampoo maybe a bit stronger. I’ll continue to use it because it really works for my seboherric dermatitis and recommend to anyone who has severe dandruff.

My hair seems to get tangled up almost as soon as I finish brushing or combing it, so dealing with wet hair after a shower is the part of my routine I dread the most, and also the part that takes me the most time.

Even though my scalp is oily, moisturizing shampoo seems to be a good choice for managing it. My hair feels clean without feeling stripped, and something I’ve learned about oily hair and skin is that if you take all the oil away, your body could start to overcompensate.

In other words, it’s better to never leave your hair or skin feeling stripped because your body might start producing even MORE oil when that’s the thing you’re trying to prevent! I was excited to try this shampoo, but found it odd that it didn’t come with a matching conditioner for daily use.

After using this shampoo for the first time, I realized why. The shampoo itself was so moisturizing that I didn’t actually feel the NEED to use conditioner for a change. Don’t get me wrong, I still used the in shower deep conditioning treatment or the leave in conditioner/heat protectant spray each time I washed my hair, but, I can see why there isn’t a daily use conditioner in addition to those products.

I used the shampoo once or twice Without using any type of conditioner, and my hair still felt nice afterwards. To be honest, I HATED the smell of the shampoo when I started using it, but over time it’s grown on me.

I still prefer the smell of the in shower deep conditioning treatment though. Would I buy this shampoo again? Probably not, since it’s quite a bit more expensive than I’d like and I don’t Love the smell (my reason for 4 stars instead of 5).

BUT, it worked great. If smell and price aren’t an issue for you, this is a good choice!.

To preface. I’m a 25 female. Natural light brown hair, bleached low maintenance blonde. Thick wavy frizzy hair that reaches the lower bottom of my back. Prone to split ends and breakage at the bottom of my hair.

No extensions. I wanted to add this so people with similar hair types can relate. So to start, I’m so torn on this shampoo. I tried it for 3 weeks and I do like that this shampoo and conditioner cuts down on my overall frizz and made my hair so much smoother and less likely to tangle which is exactly what I was looking for.

BUT there is some things about this shampoo I just can’t ignore. First off the smell, I just can’t get past it. It reminds me of a menthol cigarette. It just smells sooo minty and lingers after washing.

Some people may not mind the smell but if my shampoo is going to linger, I’d prefer it to smell like something other than strong mint and almost a tea tree smell. Second, when the conditioner sets for a couple minutes before rinsing out I’ve noticed that my back and neck where the product has been laying in my hair will get very cold and tingly.

Almost like how when you have a breath mint you get the same effect in your mouth but it’s on your body this time. This alone made me decide not to repurchase. I like my shower water very warm and I found myself constantly turning the heat up because while the conditioner set I would get extremely cold from the tingly feeling.

It can be overwhelming sometimes and linger even after washing the area thoroughly and drying off. I would assume if this was a shampoo and conditioner without the minty smell that I was having an allergic reaction to it but since it has that smell I just really don’t know if the tingle is intended or not.

And lastly, I’ve noticed a lot of small breakage at the top of my hair by my scalp. I’m not prone to breakage that high and only notice it after a fresh bleach every once and a while although it is usually very rare for me.

I should note that it has been 3 months since my last bleach since I am a low maintenance blonde and I was not using this product during my last bleach. I also take a lot measures to protect my hair that could be the cause of breakage that high.

So at this point only thing I’ve changed is this shampoo and conditioner. I’ve decided not to finish the rest of the bottle due to concerns about further breakage. This is just my experience. Some people seem to love it but it’s a no from me.

I hope this helps some people on the fence after reading conflicting reviews. I’ve switched to Joyco kpac reconstructing shampoo that has also given me the same desirable results so far with a much better smell, no breakage, and most importantly no tingly feeling on by skin.

I was skeptical at first about this product. I am one of those people that really cannot stand when my hair feels the slightest bit greasy after washing it. I used to use hempz moisture Shampoo and conditioner but unfortunately they don’t sell that kind at ulta.

I tried several shampoo and conditioners in the meantime including biolage, matrix, redken, and a few other small label brands all meant for color safe hair. While I found that these brands did the job, some of them left my hair feeling dirtier than before washing it.

I went out on a limb and tried pureologies hydrate and color safe line based off of reviews alone and the fact that the shampoo was sold out pretty much everywhere I tried to buy it. I ended up buying it online and it didn’t take long to arrive.

I must say that while the smell is not my favorite, a slight eucalyptus-ish peppermint scent, it is wonderful shampoo (and conditioner) that does not leave the slightest amount of residue in your hair.

It lathers great and you only need a small amount. My hair is the softest and most manageable than it has been in a long time. I have naturally wavy, coarse, and very thick hair that I dye dark brown and this does miracles for it.

I highly highly highly recommend this shampoo (and conditioner) if you can get past the not so enticing scent.

Very difficult to get the thick conditioner out of the bottle. Should be in a squeeze tube. Conditioner itself is very good.

First of all, I love a bundle deal, especially, when it’s a great product. I wash my hair about every three, maybe four days, so I need a shampoo that can really break thru all the oil and product build up on my hair and scalp.

This actually did a really good jobs that. My hair felt great, and then, I followed with the conditioner, which works very well, also. After using the conditioner, I was able to brush straight thru my hair without tons of tangles and pulling.

I have used many Pantene products, however this bundle has to be my favorite. I love a great hydrating shampoo and conditioner, especially during the colder months. My hair needs all the hydration it can get.

You know what I mean if you live in an area with cold temps. If you’re searching for a great hydrating shampoo and conditioner, I’d give this a try. It really left my hair feeling soft and tangle free.

I use this shampoo and conditioner daily and it has brought new life to my lifeless hair. Earlier this year I decided to make a major hair change and went from dyed dark red hair to platinum blond. This required several bleaching sessions to achieve the white platinum effect which left my hair really dry and damaged.

I also have an oily scalp so it can be difficult to find hair care products that can help with both. This Pantene Moisture Renewal shampoo and conditioner cleans my oily scalp as well as smooths and softens my dry damaged ends.

My hair looks and feels healthier and doesn’t feel weighted down. This shampoo and conditioner smell amazing and the scent lasts all day without being too overpowering. I am so glad to have found hair care products that make my hair look and feel healthy and gorgeous without breaking the bank.

I usually wash my hair every other day. I use hairspray daily so I always look for a shampoo and conditioner that removes some of the hairspray buildup from my hair. The shampoo actually works good without a lot of scrubbing.

It lathers up nicely and smells good too! I have highlights in my hair and I haven’t noticed any change in my color. The conditioner leaves my hair feeling silky smooth. I leave it in for a few minutes while I wash before rinsing it out.

I have tried other Pantene products in the past but I will say this one is my favorite. Overall, I really like this shampoo and conditioner and will continue to use it.

i get everyone is different so here is a good review. I have veey coarse wavy blonde hair (part middle eastern, part scottish. this stuff is fluffy and can frozz pretty bad. Currently half virgin hair and the bottom is my dump dye for 12 years burgandy.

So thata very dry ans damaged still). I have SUPER sensitive skin so im always terrified to try new products. but my bf talked me into this stuff after my scalp became itchy ans broke out. Nothing was working so i thought why no.

omg, it was amazing!! no scaling, no itching, it was wierd getting use to. Its almost like a. cream facial cleanser. But I digress, I only wash my hair evwry 4 days, twice a week, and ive used it twice.

My hair has never veen softwr or felt cleaner. I do see how people that wash daily might get the sticky or overly greasy thing, but if you are like me and have dey hair, dry scalp, dont wash often. This is worth a try.

Ive used the same Herbal Essences ive used since middle school but the sulfate was killing my scalp. I did still use the coconut hydration on my ends and man are my curls amazing!!! i revently stopped using heating tools, and i thought is never get it to cooperate but this twice a week with my conditioner, and my oil (i use beard oil on my ends and even with that ive had zero oily issues.

Just nice ringlet curls finally). So i suggest this stuff but slip conditioner, dont wash as much. tweek it to what works for you, but it really is nice for build up ans itching. I’ll probably go back ans forth with my normal shampoo but for the dry winter, this was a life saver.

This product definitely works but I tend to use this product for a specific reason. And much like my other reviews I always find an additional use for a product that a lot of people tend to not realize about.

This product works really well with getting rid of dry scalp. And so I have no complaints there. If you have just dyed your hair a colour that you don’t want it to be in the end then just so you know you can use this product repetitively to fade out hair colour that you have just given yourself in the event that you quickly want to change to a different colour or back to the original call you want.

There is a large quality of peroxide in this and the peroxide acts like a type of hair colour stripper. Just bear in mind that this products when used repetitively can dry your hair out while it heals your scalp and so you do want to use a large amount of conditioner when you use this product even if you’re using it just for dry scalp issues but especially if you use it repetitively to remove hair dye from your hair.

I dye my hair once every 3 or 4 months and if I have an issue which seems to happen twice per year attends to grab myself a bottle of this and use it for the month that I am trying to remove a hair colour.

I don’t have dry scalp issues so I don’t typically purchase this nowadays for issues of dry scalp since I learned that I previously had a dry scalp because of the amount of chlorine and hard water in my home water system.

When that changed I no longer needed head and shoulders for dry scalp issues. If I go to a city like Toronto however their water is so brutally hard there that by the time I’m finished from vacation I come back home and suddenly I need Head and Shoulders again to give myself a treatment of dry scalp until my own scalp comes back to normal.

I got this shampoo about 3 weeks ago and have been using it daily since. I’m really liking a few of the features about it. One, my hair will tend to maintain its place and not fly around or have too much body.

So much so, my wife actually asked if I got a haircut after I started using it, because apparently my hair was now just staying in place and not fluffed about. I also really like that it kind of leaves a tingling/cooling sensation after use which I like.

The smell is nice too. I associate it with a tea tree type of smell, which is quite pleasant and not overly masculine or feminine. If there were any negatives, it might just be that it seems to take just a hair more of the shampoo to get more of a lather than others I’ve used.

But getting less lather doesn’t seem to change the performance of the shampoo. I’ve tried with more product, for more lather, and less product, and my hair comes out great either way. I’ve also not had any issues with dandruff or dry scalp, so it’s doing a great job there too.

I’d definitely get again when I run out.

I tried this in place of my normal anti-dandruff shampoo and really liked the fragrance and how well it lathered up in the shower. My previous shampoo left me looking for something that could possibly help with doing a better job at reducing the dandruff I was experiencing.

I used it for a couple weeks and thought my hair smelled and felt great, but unfortunately I didn’t see any improvement in the amount of dandruff I witnessed. In fact, it could have been slightly worse but that is a difficult thing to measure.

I am giving it three stars because I feel it is about the same as what I had been using and I wasn’t overwhelmed by the performance.

Dry scalp in the cold winters has always been a problem! So after trying several products (or more), I purchased the Harry’s Anti-Dandruff Shampoo & Conditioner. First the scent is wonderful. I can only describe it as a “very fresh smell”.

Because this shampoo is all natural, I worried that it would not lather up. Well, it had no problem with lathering and rinsed easily! This is very mild shampo that works incredible!.

Im asian with VERY thick, wavy and damaged hair I flatiron it straight very often. I grew out my highlighted hair and instead of flat ironing went with the blow dryer hoping to restore the health of my hair but with no luck.

I was using Suaves imitation of Nexxus Humuctant conditioner and Head and Shoulders but switched to this shampoo after doing a lot of research. I could not be more happy with the results. my hair is SO MUCH healthier.

This shampoo doesnt create any suds but that is really not a necessary component to judge whether a product is healthy for your hair or not. I use maybe a halfdollar size dollop of this for my thick long hair and it does its job.

I follow it up with Neutrogenas Triple Moisture Conditioner which also has HIGH reviews and is a lot cheaper and I think Im set with a combo that Ill use for years. Oh and I also LOVE Fekkais Glossing Cream.

apparently Oprahs favorite product. but its the only cream that weighs down my heavy, poofyhair without making it feel greasy and creates good texture. Ive used many products drugstore and professional and this one is the most expensive but worth every penny.

I have had pretty intense dandruff all my life. I used the classic clean H&S to keep it at bay until my dermatitis started a couple of years ago. Though my dermatologist’s suggestion of ketoconazole did initially help, I wasn’t getting the kind of clarification I needed, my strands were incredibly brittle, and my hair was actually falling out after every wash.

Since classic clean H&S helped mildly, I bought this one on a whim and it made ALL the difference. My natural curls and shine immediately came back after the first wash. My scalp was clearer and had no itch or inflammation after the second wash.

Also — almost NO fall-out in the shower. I went from clumps to barely a few strands. I get so wary of products targeted towards dermatitis-sufferers, but this one was life-saver. Absolutely speak with your healthcare provider, but don’t be afraid to listen to your body and find solutions that you think might work best for you.

This stuff is terrible!! I’ve used the old version before and it was fine. This new formula doesn’t even work and made my hair fall out! I noticed significant hair loss a couple of weeks after adding this product to my routine, nothing else had changed.

At first I thought it was just stress and continued using it but after a few more weeks the hair loss continued. I stopped using this product and the hair loss immediately got better. Not only that but this stuff totally burned my skin! I have eczema and sensitive skin and noticed that the skin on my forehead and face started to dry out so bad! Everything this stuff touched dried out!! I have patches of rough dry skin around my forehead and eye area from this shampoo! I’m currently trying to rehab my skin and hair back to normal after using this stuff and will be throwing the two bottles that I have straight into the garbage where they belong!!.

I would like to start off by saying that I received this product complimentary and am leaving my honest review. This shampoo works. I used it everyday and it got rid of my dandruff! I normally have a dry and itchy scalp prone to dandruff.

With just two uses this shampoo made my dandruff almost disappear. I do feel like I need to use additional conditioner as the 2 in 1 is not enough softening agent for my dry hair. This shampoo plus conditioner smells amazing!! The scent lingers around until you wash your hair again.

It is not overpowering at all. Smells like coconut milk!! The only complaint I had with this product was that even though this works great for my dandruff i needed to use additional conditioner on top of the shampoo to keep my hair from feeling too dry.

I had to use conditioner and some other leave in products to help soften my hair.

Okay, normally I cringe at the thought of shampoo and conditioner together. BUT THIS BAYBBEEE IS SLEPT ON! Wow it’s been years since my family used this! This left my hair airy, moisturized and soft! It styled amazing because it was light and the smell was great so fresh and clean.

These guys are slept on! Glad I got the big bottle to last a long time! Seriously one pump lathers my entire head! My scalp felt clean and rejuvenated! I used to be a hater for the double usage but so glad I was able to try these again! Absolutely love it.

After reading SOOO many reviews of people raving about this stuff, I pulled the trigger and tried it for myself. Let me start by saying I have an oily scalp with dryer ends, medium length straight thick hair, years of blonde highlights but minimal damage- the integrity of my hair is still pretty solid.

With that being said, I wouldn’t recommend this for anyone with heavily processed hair with any amount of damage. The issue with this stuff is that it’s extremely difficult to lather into your scalp and you end up pulling more on your hair more than you should have to.

It also causes serious snarls if not done properly and if not using a REALKY good follow up mask or deep conditioning. With that being said, once you get it down it’s amazing. I actually love this stuff for myself.

I bought a Briogeo scalp massager for the shower too, to help get the charcoal particles in there deeper so they can do their job at maximum capacity. It lather ls nice if you keep adding water, but once the water starts to leave you again get a rats nest.

So just keeep wet and scrub, have a conditioner on standby and I recommend the massager tool also so you get your money out of this task. This stuff smells great too, and it leaves your hair very clean.

Not my favorite scalp cleaner though, but does the job well.

I absolutely depend on this scalp exfoliator for when my scalp feels a little itchy and flaky. Sometimes gunk just builds up on my scalp because I have coarse curly hair – so I pair this with a low-sulphate shampoo and it works like a charm.

And I love the tingly feeling you get with this. I’ve taken one star off because of the packaging and the amount of product. I don’t understand why this doesn’t come in a tube like the mini size does.

The wide screw top lid is very wide and difficult to open with wet hands and without my glasses. Also you have to dip your fingers in it, again, in the shower! it needs a flat surface away from the water because it’s big and bulky.

It is sooooo inconvenient. The second thing is the amount of product. There should be a midsize between this and the mini size because it’s not a product you need to use every time you shower. It even says on the packaging to use once a week, which makes it impossible to finish before expiry unless you put it in the fridge which is, again annoying.

It takes me more than a year to finish this (so really worth it for the price but I’d still get a smaller size if I could) If not for those things, this would be perfect.

My son was having extreme scalp flaking-almost like cradle cap which he had when he was newborn into his toddler years. We tried everything and every oil but the combination of Head and Shoulders Anti Dandruff Care coupled with Tea Tree oil has helped tremendously in as little as 2 and a half to three weeks of use! There was still flaking the first wash; the second was flaky but less than the first time; after the third wash, no flaking and his hair was extremely manageable (even while lathered and throughout the washing process!) I used a a silicone shampoo scalp massager to apply and thoroughly clean his scalp and I would DEFINITELY RECOMMEND both the H and S as well as the scalp massager!.

Ok…. Now with my scalp which I’ve already explained in other reviews, I have hair about 60 inches long from root to tip-When my hair is clean or not it is oily during the day and if I do not wash it later on that evening it becomes a different texture type of substance, is if it is wet like almost like a really thick ooey — gooey moisturizing substance!!!!!! LIKE….

EWWWWW!!!!!!!!!! Has anyone reading this heard of such a scalp issue!!?? If I never had anything else to wash my hair with head and shoulders was always my go to shampoo however, it just doesn’t do everything else the shampoo needs to do for a woman’s hair, however, I believe that’s why most of head and shoulders products and shampoo as is for men!!!! B/c THEY ARE!!! So like I said before I would not recommend recommend this to any woman and less they already grow naturally a beautiful voluptuous volumized head of locks shine!!!!!!!!!! Because, unfortunately folks, head and shoulders is just for the scalp and the flakes.

It is not for the shine or the beauty just for cleanliness. Which now women you can understand why men usually turn to that if they have any flakes at all number one first. Lol!.

I use this with a squirt of coconut oil almost everyday, most times morning and at night. I’ve tried everything under the sun to get rid of dandruff including shower filters and this stuff works great.

My dad has the same condition as me and he uses it now too. One thing to remember is you must use cold water on your head, as much as it sucks it doesn’t suck as much as dandruff and I got to say you get used to it.

If you use hot water you are wasting your time and money, if you have any skin condition hot water will make it worse. I also have seborrheic dermatitis on my face and head which I use Promiseb (also only thing that works),.
