New to this curly girl lifestyle. My hair has always been slightly wavy and then the last two years it has become curly. It is also very thick and coarse. Along with the newly found curls, came the frizz.

I have purchased A TON of products this last year and finally saw a YouTube video where someone recommended Aveda products so I gave them a try. Specifically for the shampoo it left my hair squeaky clean but it didn’t feel dehydrated.

Aveda products have a great reputation and is a well known stable product. I tried this shampoo for approximately 6 months and it didn’t suit my curly/wavy hair. Nice looking professional packing that smells delightful.

Unfortunately I am unable to list and visible benefits to the appearance/texture of my hair so promptly stopped using it. So sorry to say this isn’t for me, we are all different. I would recommend try before you buy if possible.

I personally will not be using again. I have since found an amazing product that I adore.

I stumbled upon Surface products while looking for yet another shampoo or treatment for my fine, thin hair, made thinner by pregnancies. I’m on my second bottle of Strengthening shampoo & alternate with the Awaken line, including serum & masque.

I cannot believe the transformation in my hair! It has body, shine & great texture now! I even have 2 sections of fluffy new “baby hair” at my temples that were thinned after my last 2 children. The shampoos are EXTREMELY concentrated! I wasted so much product when I was first using.

Truly, it only takes a small dollop, even for long hair. It takes a minute to lather, but when it does- it’s magic foam! The smells are nothing fruity or perfume-y. which I prefer that they don’t linger anyway.

It’s says surface bassu hydrating shampoo but this is Surface Bassue Moisturizing shampoo. The hydrating was the older version, the moisturizing is the newer one. I found a big difference between the two.

So they sold this as the hydrating but it is not. I was trying to find the older one because I like it so much better. The company changed the formula and name so this merchant sold this showing a picture of the older one but sent the newer one.

So I would not buy from this company again.

I have lightened 2c/3a hair (natural dark blonde to a light blonde). My hair has always been very protein hungry but is especially so now due to the coloring. I’m growing it out from a buzzcut/big chop to remove old bleached platinum hair so strength is a major need for me along with nourishing new growth with lots of moisture.

I have a graveyard of conditioners in my bathroom but this is the one I reach for 9 times out of 10 unless I’m doing a deep treatment wash day (and then I reach for the Olaplex). It gives good slip for a protein conditioner (not super slip, but it’s dang good for being this protein-heavy) and leaves my hair so soft and bouncy.

It’s thick so I don’t have to use as much as I normally would with a conditioner, and especially after using the Cowash from this line I don’t need much conditioner. So while the price is a bit much for the jumbo size initially, it’s going to last me a long time.

On the tiny bits of previously bleached hair I have left I’ve noticed an increase in strength and elasticity as well as greatly minimized breakage. It’s absolutely one of my favorite conditioners and works so well with the whole Curl Charisma line.

It also seems to agree well with my Olaplex stylers and other leave-ins. I’ve even turned a few friends with straight-to-wavy hair onto this wash because it’s so great at addressing common issues with bleached and/or color treated hair.

So I wrote a review for the conditioner when I had to use the do not despair shampoo instead of the shampoo, and both shampoos are absolutely horrific. This shampoo gave me literal flakes at the top of my scalp.

I don’t have a sensitive scalp at all and I’ve use all kinda of products on myself. I wanted to love the shampoo because I had wavy/curly hair and wanted to finally find products that cater to that. What a regret.

I bought the big bottle to make things worse and pass the return window because I just wanted to stock up because I assumed that the shampoo would be fantastic. Suffering for literal months. I had to use so much shampoo just for me to think that my scalp was clean.

It was a nightmare I would come out of the shower and there would be flakes as if I had dandruff on the top of my scalp. The only hope was literal putting rose water and oils on my head. I just recently switched back to Ola Plex and the flakes are gone after just the first used, it just further assured me that this was 100% the shampoo.

I used ouai and bb cleansing shampoo, and sometimes it would get it out and would switch back to briogeo shampoo and it would act up again. Do not use this shampoo unless you know for a fact this works for your scalp and hair.

I’m so glad that I no longer have to wonder what is causing my scalp to flake, stay away from this shampoo!!!!! $120 down the DRAIN.

I received this Curl Charisma Rice Amino + Shea Curl Defining Conditioner from Briogeo. This conditioner is excellent for my dry, wavy/curly and frizzy hair. This conditioner really leaves my hair moisturized without weighing it down or feeling greasy.

My hair feels soft and silky, and my waves/curls are looking more defined. After washing my hair, I apply the conditioner to my hair and go through my hair with my fingers to apply it evenly from roots to ends.

I then rinse my hair. It is easy to rinse the conditioner out of my hair without leaving any residue. The conditioner moisturizes my hair and tames my frizz and defines my waves/curls without weighing my hair down.

My hair feels soft, looks shiny and healthy. I love the light fragrance of this conditioner. It is so luxurious. After using this conditioner, it is easy to comb through my hair without any tangles and it is easy to style my hair.

I love that this product is vegan, cruelty-free and gluten-free. I really recommend this conditioner when you have frizzy and wavy, curly hair.

I bought this because I LOVE the hydrating gel in this line for my 3b/4a curls, but i really wish I hadn’t! It makes my hair feel and look drier, and even more difficult to detangle. It doesn’t have much slip either, it’s more of a creamy texture that foams? I have much better luck with Nexxus’ humectress conditioner that has more for a price similar to this 8 oz.

This curl cream would be great for you if you’re not looking to have too much hold in your hair. It’s thick, but it doesn’t create a very strong cast for me. As you can see, my hair is already frizzing at the roots and it’s not completely dry yet.

There’s no cast to scrunch out. The pump is also really hard to use and only dispenses like a dime size of product with each pump, which means I need to pump twice just to get enough for one section of hair.

It is very hydrating, so I can’t knock it down too much, but it is probably my least favorite ouidad product, which is saying a lot because I LOVE ouidad. Basically, just stick to the hydrating gel.

I love this shampoo & conditioner from Ouidad! I have been using it for nearly 4 years. I switch it up occasionally with Living Proof or Redken, etc, but this is my go to that I use most often! It works so well for my hair- it gives it more defined curl & bounce with little to no frizz! I can air dry or lightly blow dry with a diffuser & it turns out beautiful! I usually use a little curl cream or leave in conditioner, as well.

I highly recommend this product line- especially this shamp/cond!! Each person’s hair is unique, but after trying many products over the years I have to say this is truly a winner for me. Love the smell, too! Please do not change up this formula Ouidad! It is expensive, unfortunately, but I do love it and try to find it when on sale (which is rare).

I have tried out several of Maui Moisture’s conditioners, and this coconut oil one is BY FAR my favorite! This conditioner has an AMAZING tropical/fruity/clean fragrance to it. It has a medium thick consistency to it, which I prefer over being too runny, or too thick making it difficult to squeeze out of the bottle.

I leave this conditioner on while I am performing the rest of my shower routine. This way I can give the conditioner enough time to soak into my freshly shampooed hair. I have pretty dry hair so this coconut oil conditioner does it wonders.

Once it has been on my hair for a sufficient amount of time high brush it out under the running water. I have very tingle prone hair but this conditioner makes detangling a breeze. After rinsing out the product I am left with silky smooth hair that smells amazing.

My mom has thick, coarse hair so I had her try out this conditioner as well. She too was left with beautiful, silky hair after using this conditioner! I have wavy hair and this conditioner really brought out and defined my wave pattern.

I think this would be a lovely conditioner for others with wavy to curly hair. I am absolutely satisfied with this conditioner, and I will be repurchasing. Highly recommend!.

Hair background: I have medium to high density hair. My hair is medium porosity type 4a natural hair. Product: This conditioner has a thick consistency. it is white and has a very pleasent scent. in terms of the packaging I wish it was bigger because you tend to use more conditioner than shampoo as a curly girl.

so I would change the packaging to be bigger and also an upside down packaging to help with product flow. Product on natural hair: Not sure if it is safe for color treated hair. However it worked well on my un-color treated hair.

This conditioner is not as conditioning as other conditioners which is the main reason why I rated it as I did. it absorbs very well into my dehydrated hair but it didnt condition it well. It also did not have alot of slip and I found detangling my hair with flowing water easier than detangling my hair with this conditioner.

it is an overall ok conditioner for natural hair but it needs a follow up leave in conditioner. I have attached a photo of my hair after I washed it to see. On my wigs this worked great. it wasn’t to heavy and it conditioned them well.

I tried the shampoo, conditioner, and curl cream so my review is for all 3 together. First of all, the scent!! It is the most amazing tropical coconutty scent that really lasts on your hair. The shampoo is Curly Girl approved but the other products are not, unfortunately.

This line is designed for thick curly hair but I have thin slightly wavy hair, so understand that my review is coming from that perspective. The shampoo lathered up really nicely but didn’t feel like it was stripping my hair.

It’s sulfate free so I’m not sure where the lather was coming from but I loved it! The conditioner and curl cream had really good slip and helped me form great clumps. Because my hairs are thin, I chose to put the cream on soaking wet hair and scrunched most of it out (I believe the directions say to use it on towel dried hair).

I finished off with mousse and was left with a great cast that scrunched out beautifully. While I’m a little concerned about the non curly girl approved ingredients, overall this is an awesome line and such a steal!! Very happy!.

I really am a fan of Dove. I have been using their shampoo and conditioner for quite awhile now. I love the way my hairs feel so soft and clean. I find it to be very affordable. My hair goes through drying, coloring and curling.

Now graying. It help keep down the corse feel. My hair is soft yet, manageable. Recommend for sure. The peach shampoo smell so amazing. Check it out.

I promise, hands down, this is the BEST conditioner I’ve ever used. My hair has never felt dry. I have different textures in my hair from 3B to 4C and even the 4’s areas don’t feel like hay when the conditioner dries.

It feels smooth and defined. I still can’t believe Dove, of all hair curly shampoo product lines out there, got it right! The conditioner is a very shimmery golden brown color and not too thick or thin and feels cold in the hand which is good because cold liquid closes the hair shaft, keeping the moisture in.

I wish I had 10 hands to give it 10 thumbs up.

My grand daughters started using Dove and they just love it. I wanted them to have this product so I purchased it so they won’t run out. Makes there hair shine and full. My granddaughter is 17 and a senior so she wants to look her best.

This shampoo does the job. Dove Nutritive Solutions Shampoo does the job. My 11 year granddaughter loves it also.

I have mixed feelings about the Pantene Curl Shampoo and conditioner. The shampoo amf conditioner had the same fragrance as all Pantene products but it was not strong as some of their other lines and I did not smell it every time I moved my head or ran my fingers through my hair.

My hair is more wavy than curly and this shampoo/conditioner did make my waves more defined, smooth and, dare I say it, curly. o also saw less frizz. I really liked the way this made my hair look. I washed and conditioned according to the directions.

The shampoo lathers great and rinses out easily. the conditioner also rinses out easily. I do not feel it left any buildup either. Then I followed up with my usual leave in conditioner and after a bit of scrunching, I let my hair air dry.

Once it was dry, my waves were soft and shiny and it was a great hair day. However, by the end of the day, my hair was crunchy and not as shiny which was super disappointing. My ends tend to be drier and this was just not hydrating enough.

When I got up the next morning, I knew my hair was too crunchy so I had to wash and condition my hair again. Typically I only wash my hair every 2 to 3 days. Still, I really like the added definition the Pantene Curl Shampoo and Conditioner gave to my wavy hair so I will probably keep using it, perhaps with a more hydrating leave in conditioner.

If your hair is not as dry as mine, and you want to add some oomph to your waves or curls, you will love this stuff!.

I received both the shampoo and conditioner to review and to give my honest opinion. This product is wonderful. I have curly hair that is dry. So when I wash my hair it tends to feel straw like and corse before I put conditioner on it.

Not with the Pantene Curl Perfection. I was really surprised that I didn’t need a lot of product, quarter sized amount, to get a thick lather going. But what amazed me was that my hair, after shampooing, didn’t feel corse.

It felt soft, like it had conditioner on it already. Then I conditioned my hair with the Pantene Curl Perfection and I have to say just “Wow”. I didn’t have to put any oil serums on my hair or the leave-in conditioner.

My brush went through my hair without snagging and when dry, I had soft curly hair. But that’s not all! I straightened my hair too, and without any products it was just as soft and smooth as if I had.

So yes, I was impressed.

This flawless curls with coconut and avocado and argan oils made my hair so soft smooth and shiny. But it was very heavy on my hair. It also made me loose a lot of hair out the shower and so much hair came out in the shower! Not only that but this shampoo and conditioner gave me painful cystic acne on my ear lobe and one ugly cystic acne/ chemical acne on the front of my neck.

That’s never ever happened to me before. Now I have a really big ugly cystic acne scar in the front of mg neck. I am so fed up with giving tresemme another chance. I don’t recommend this product line and I don’t recommend this brand either.

The Curl Hydration was was my favorite shampoo & conditioner. It brought out all the natural waves and curls in my hair by just letting my hair naturally dry. But the new conditioner, which I recently found, actually makes my hair frizzy, and hardly activates any curls or waves.

Very disappointing. Luckily, in the past, I bought many bottles of the old formula, but now only have 1 bottle of the old shampoo version, & had to buy the new curl conditioner. I will need to find a different brand of curl enhancing conditioner.

I alternate between the Be Curly conditioner and the Scalp Remedy conditioner. The both work great according to my hair needs (flaky scalp, fine curly hair) and they both smell fantastic. I highly recommend taking advantage of the Aveda rewards program.

Save your points. I stock up when they run triple points weekends. We were able to save enough points to cash them in for a trip to the Aveda Spa and resort in Antigua. I buy the products because they work, but the high level reward trips are an incredible perk on top.

THIS 5 in one conditioner is unlike anything I’ve tried. First off the smell is amazing. Kinda hippie flower mixed with essential oil smell. Makes my hair very soft yet intensifies the curl pattern in a HUGE way.

Not sticky, tacky at all. No oiliness. I put about 3 pumps in my palms and run thru scalp to ends concentrating on about 2 inches from scalp down and let air dry. My hair is my crown and rarely do I leave random reviews but was on this site looking for the ability to purchase this particular product in liter size.

I have long curly hair that tends to be dry and frizzy. It is also tangled and knotted by the end of the day. I am always looking for a product that will help detangle and control frizz. So I tried the five in one conditioner all five ways.

My hair was still very hard to detangle. My hair was actually drier and more frizzy than it was prior to use of this conditioner. After 3 weeks of using this product my hair was in rough shape. I ended up with extremely dry, frizzy, damaged hair.

I understand that not all products for curls will be compatible with my hair type but I never expected my curls to be in such bad shape from trying this. I definitely would not recommend this conditioner to anyone.

I bought this Shampoo and Conditioner about 3 months ago. About a month in, I noticed I was getting some raised bumps on my scalp. Eventually these turned into almost acne? And white heads? And when the spots came out, the hair follicles came with them.

It was terrible. I started using a sulfate shampoo every other time I washed my hair to see if that helped, but it didn’t. About 2 weeks ago I threw it out and my scalp is starting to clear up. I’ve never reacted to hair care like this, so I’m not sure what happened here but it definitely wasn’t for me.

It seems like the reviews are pretty positive, so I’m really confused why this clogged up my hair follicles so much.

I don’t blow dry nor do I dye my hair. I use hair creams and sometime flexible styling hair sprays not related to this brand. With that said, with this shampoo I sometimes have to lather twice to really feel like I fully removed any hair products, other than that, this shampoo does lather well & has a soft smell to it.

It’s winter here at the moment and this shampoo is not helping with my winter dandruff, which it’s okay, I scalp detox once a week & that helps for a while, not this brand either, but I’m mentioning it incase you think it helps moisturize your scalp.

As for conditioner, I use a different brand too & thanks because I like how my conditioner defines my curls but unfortunately this other brand conditioner does not add volume, niece I’m done with what I have, I’ll try the conditioner for Ouidad.

The shampoo performed well, but the scent is terrible. It smells like watermelon and is tacky. I like elevated products. This is far from that. I will spend the extra bucks to get the experience that comes with Ouai, Davines, R andCo from here on out.

I recently changed over to using Ouidad. I have unruly curly/wavy hair. I classify it as 2C. After just 1 week my curls are more defined and reduced frizz. I also changed how i comb out my hair with a wide tooth comb in the shower.

And I no longer use my Turbie Towel by twisting it up, I just ring out the hair to help keep the curl. So I know it isnt just the shampoo that is helping my curls. I have tried this method in the past with other shampoos/conditioners and nothing has helped my hair be as defined and less frizz as this product.

However, I opted to use this product strictly as a conditioner, after washing my hair I applied the curl cleanser to the palm of my hands and massaged into my hair from the roots, right down to the ends.

Upon, massaging the product into my hair, I noticed how sweet the smell of the conditioner was, you can actually smell the notes of tea tree oil, which leaves the hair smelling lush. Whilst massaging the product into my scalp and hair, I realised that the curl cleanser aided in defining my curls as my curl pattern really started to form and become curls that were more prominent.

The middle of my hair is a different texture to the front of my hair as it as more of an Afro hair pattern. The hair in the middle is thicker and tougher, despite this fact, the curl cleanser helped soften this part of my hair, giving me thick springing curls.

I left the conditioner in my hair for 10 minutes and rinsed out with warm water. When rinsing out my hair for the second time, I noticed that the conditioner aided in locking moisture into my hair, as the water started to bounce off my hair.

This was so satisfying as this product fits its purpose. I have struggled with conditioners for years, which claim to give added moisture but in fact leave the hair feeling very brittle and dry.

My stylist suggested this cleansing conditioner as a dupe for the WEN cleansing conditioner I was currently using. WEN is expensive for the amount you receive. I have thin straight hair, but this product does not weigh my hair down.

Second day hair still feels clean and soft. People have asked what I have been using on my hair. My highlights look better and my hair looks healthier. So glad I found an affordable cleansing conditioner that actually works, and I have tried many that claim they are like WEN, but were disappointing! A+ Product from Moroccan Oil.

Wow! If only it had more of this amazing product in the can! This is my fav all time wash. I absolutely loved my soft waves and it was perfection in a bottle but it seriously has too little in it. For the price I feel it not worth it.

For a shampoo at this price, safe to say I was disappointed. I was going back through the product description and reviews to see what this thing is actually meant to do, and it still feels unclear. The description says “shinier, healthy-looking hair,” which suggested it was hydrating, but a lot of reviews said it was drying/stripping.

I bought this on the basis of those reviews because I have pretty oily hair which needs washing too frequently. The scent was nice – I noticed some people said it was overpowering, but I don’t notice it anymore than a leave-in conditioner or oil that you get at a hair salon.

The consistency was pretty normal for a shampoo – not too liquid, not too thick. It didn’t lather up too much, but it could still lather. And at the very least, it felt like it was easy enough to rinse out.

But every time I used this and blow-dried after, my hair ended up just as greasy as it had been prior to washing. I’ve had this happen with other shampoos (if they’re meant to be very hydrating shampoos or heavily oil-based), but it’s surprisingly rare to find one that has this effect on my hair.

Usually even general “hydrating shampoos” won’t actively make my hair greasier. This one did just that, and it’s been incredibly frustrating to spend all this time washing and blow-drying only to get greasy hair immediately afterward.

Tried it multiple times only to get the same result. Tried mixing up shampoos, and the effects really only got worse after using this one. So if anyone else is looking at the reviews thinking it might be good for oily hair (because it baffles me that everyone else here said it was too drying/stripping), do not walk, RUN away from this shampoo.

The shampoo works up into a wonderful lather that gently cleanses without stripping my hair or scalp. I love using PhD shampoo after a day out at the pool, it helps get out the chlorine and any traces of sunscreen residue.

It’s silicone-free and sulfate-free. A quarter size squeeze of product was more than enough to create a luxe lather for my thick, long hair. Will definitely restock once I run out!.

Absolutely love this shampoo! Finally found one that doesn’t leave my hair feeling dry or like straw. I use it along with the conditioner and they work like a dream. My hair finally feels healthy again, the scent is amazing too! Very light scent not extremely strong so it doesn’t givee a headache like other scents can.

This is an amazing shampoo and I love the fact that it is sulphate free. I have been using sulphate free shampoos for almost 7 years now. It takes some getting used to because your hair can be greasy at first but once your hair gets used to sulphate free shampoos, it will feel a lot healthier.

This is definitely my go-to shampoo. I try out other brands from time to time but always come back to it.

Didn’t work 100% for me. But in all fainess, I have to say this. I have curly hair but it’s frizzy. Most curling products don’t work for me. This shampoo smells nice and it cleans without stripping your hair.

Fair price and good size bottle. Overall, I’m not satisfied but I’m not disappointed either.
