20 Best Serum For Oily Acne Prone Skin (2023 Updated)

I first used this product in November of 2018 and had great results. For the first time in my adult like I actually had zero blemishes and the results were incredibly consistent. I went months without a pimple or zit.

For as long as I could remember, I always had something going on, including a period where it seemed like ever pimple became a painful sebaceous cysts that would takes months to heal. The original formula was a fairly opaque, greenish-white serum with a lotion-like consistently that was easy to apply and spread.

A few drops went a long way. When I went to reorder earlier this year, I was shocked to see this TruSkin serum was out of stock with no indication if or when it would be available. I ordered a competitor’s product that appeared to be the exact same formula (similar or same percentages of key ingredients) but double the amount.

What I received was very watery and difficult to apply because it was so runny. I assumed it was he same as TruSkin but the seller was diluting the formula. Fast forward to September 2019 and TruSkin has this product back in stock.

Because I was so disappointed with the consistency of the competitor product, I had intentions of throwing it out. But today I open this brand new bottle of TruSkin and much to my dismay, it is the exact same watery, runny formula as the competitor product!Hopefully I still have the same great results as before but I’m concerned the product is not as potent as the original formula that had the consistency of a light lotion.

TruSkin – ***PLEASE GO BACK TO THE HIGHER VISCOSITY FORMULA!***Late September Update: TruSkin reached out and apologized for the runny, watery product and offered to send a new bottle. Well it arrived today and the new bottle is every bit as runny and difficult to apply.

It is even lighter in color than the bottle I purchased earlier this month. For the love of all that’s sacred, TruSkin, PLEASE GO BACK TO THE ORIGINAL FORMULA, the one I had purchased back in 2018.

Now, after quite some time, and now onto my 4th bottle or something, this is my in depth review about this vitamin C serum. I used to have hormonal acne (coming from eating meat and dairy products). I have changed my diet ever since I found out, but used to have really bad acne scarring in general, they become dark spots, and of course, don`t make the face look flawless.

After using it for some weeks, I saw that my scars started to face. DO`s and DON`Ts to make it really short:DO`s:’Ä¢ for oily skin is ok, NOT for sensitive skin. My sister tried it and she said her face was burning.

The stuff was too harsh for her skin. Mine is oily/combo so I have no problems with it. ‘Ä¢ use at night, because you`re not touching your face anyways and the stuff has enough time to work its magic’Ä¢ use max.

By applying retinol cream AFTER vitamin C serum you are being counter efficient as the retinol cream will not allow the vitamin C serum to permeate into the skin (due to oil barrier from cream). Other than that, I found the quality of the product is very very good.

The dropper is perfect for whatever amount you want to use. With my latest bottle (as of March 2020), it came with a newer designed dropper that I like even more, as that one looks better and is more smooth when applying onto the skin.

GREAT JOB, GUYS! I really recommend this product.

I started using this serum and the TruSkin Moisturizer (orange & white bottle) at the same time. About 2 weeks into using those, I was so impressed that I also bought the TruSkin face wash. Also, I know it says to only use the serum 2-3 times a week, but I use it after I wash my face every morning AND every night before bed.

Not saying you should too, but I’m telling you so you know what worked for me. If you decide to try this, I definitely recommend the moisturizer as well or else your skin may feel a little tight. I’ve dealt with acne since I was 12 years old.

I’ve always had sensitive and very oily skin, and I’ve dealt with all the different types of acne, but more recently, it’s been a LOT of stress and hormonal, big acne. I’ve been on birth control since 16, and I’ve tried every facewash.

The only thing that seemed to remotely work for me was anything with Benzoyl Peroxide. However, I can honestly say that since about 12 years old, I haven’t seen a single day without at least 1 pimple until now.

Also, I wanted a solution that would PREVENT my acne, not just dry it up as it arose each day. I don’t know why I even tried this serum to be honest. I guess I just knew it couldn’t really get worse, so I would just try it because it had good reviews.

Sometimes gurus release products that just miss the mark. HYRAM DID NOT MISS A BEAT!!!! Literally this serum and the retinol with the cleanser has made my skin BRAND NEW. I look brighter, my skin texture is smoother, and SO CLEAR.

As a cis woman who’s struggled with acne since middle school, I have tried everything under the sun to get it under control. These products have honestly worked the best for my skin. I have combination skin with breakouts and dry patches.

I use the gel cleanser, salicylic acid serum, the retinol serum, hyaluronic acid, cetaphil moisturizer, and sunscreen.

I’m 53, combo leaning dry skin, and still experience the occasional blemish, as well as the dubious joy of enlarged pores. This serum is simply the best I’ve ever used to combat both issues. It’s absolutely non-drying on my face and works all day long to help control oil in the T zone whilst zapping pimples away.

Pores do appear minimized with regular use and complexion feels smoother overall. It only takes three drops to cover my face and neck and it sinks in quickly, without ever feeling tacky. This thin serum plays well under thicker serums and moisturizers, too.

I consider this a Holy Grail product and recommend it to young and old alike. I only wish this product had been available in my teens and twenties when I was desperate for a fix for acne.

I like the product itself. Feel the packaging has lost enough stars from other reviews it’s redundant. However it is true immediately had part of the top break off. The cap looked pre-broken when I received it.

I store it right side up just in case. So far it’s not much of an issue. Could see why a deduction of stars have been made with other reviews. Cap is very flimsy. The cleanser doesn’t irritate my sensitive skin even takes off most of my makeup without being greasy or having to double cleansing.

I will probably buy it again when I run out unless I find something else I like better. In the meantime I would recommend. Sure it’s a bit of a risk with the packaging all in all mine didn’t leak or anything.

Depends how much cheap packaging or cap breaking bothers you. If that’s a deal breaker don’t get it.

I rotate between this and the Bl + C for my breakouts. I do find this one more effective with minimizing larger pimples and brightening as well. It’s not as thick as the Bl + C I find it is much more watery but still very much an oil and spreads really nicely.

I use this formula more consistently in summer when my skin is more dewy and the Bl + C in the winter when I’m more dry.

If it’s showing up orange on your skin or you’re running out really quickly, you’re using too much. This stuff is SO concentrated, you literally only need the tiniest amount – we’re so used to just slathering on a tonne of product that it’s hard to get your head around how little of this product you actually need for it to be effective.

If you can’t get used to it, try combining it with another serum that’s made for mixing, like Drunk Elephant B-Hydra. I use this serum on its own when I have a breakout and I see improvements overnight – definitely recommend!.

I am sure these serums work fantastically on most people. I also have fragile capillaries. My clogged pores had gotten better until I started using serums. The plant extracts must be dissolved in oils.

I don’t know what else they could use as a base other than alcohol. Plus, the serum feels oily. It might not do that to other people. I now have what are like whiteheads that are easy to press to get the white out.

Did get one acne spot that did have oil under the surface. This may be something that is specific just to me. I am middle-aged not a teenager. What I have been using to clean my face with had worked to get rid of this problem.

The more often I would wash my face before just made my problem worse. Salicylic acid wash, peroxide facial cleansers etc. , strangely enough,also made the problem worse not better. Now I have another problem returning.

This is the second brand of serums that has done this to me.

This is my go to product when my face is breaking out. I am 55 years old and have occasional breakouts. it is especially helpful if I have used a product that is causing the reaction, spots immediately start healing.

After finding Bl+C, I thought that must be Odacite’s one standout product, but I got curious because the reviews of Jo+L were so good and many people mentioned that they use both. I have had congested pores around my mouth and chin for literally years.

Even after facials, the stuff would never move. The first day I used this, stuff began to emerge and it has continued since. It’s particularly surprising because these are ingredients I’ve had in my cabinet all along.

Now I use less of Bl+C—just on active spots—and will continue to use this, because you can’t argue with what works!.

I never review products on Nordstrom but i love this so much I had to say something. I have combination oily, and it’s especially oily in the t-zone. Ever since I purchased this lil bottle, my t zone has been much more manageable and even though I didn’t see miracle disappearing act on my pores, they have been significantly improved.

I saw a review that said this lasted them a week. Not sure how many drops they put on their face but i use this twice daily, 2 drops each time and it’s been well more than a month since I started. I still have a good amount left in the bottle too.

It is pricey for just oil but i think it’s so worth it. I’ve used so many pore minimizing masks in all forms and nothing worked as well as this little bottle.

This concentrated serum has helped a few skin issues I’ve been battling. First it has greatly reduced some pore congestion in my T zone areas wile reducing the size of the pores in those same areas. It also reduced the size of some skin bumps I have in a few areas with the hope that in time it will clear these areas up.

I have very sensitive skin that seems to have worsen with age and this product hasn’t caused any irritation and I originally applied it to my face sparingly , one too two drops only , a little goes a long way , about an hour before I applied my nightly moisturizer.

Now I just mix the two together. All the application instructions come with the product along with a listing of other serums in this line and their specific problem targets. I ordered a sample pack and chose 4 samples to try in the line , a great help in deciding what wouldn’t cause any reactions.

You get a good amount in the samples so you can make a educated decision before you make and investment.

Whenever I can I like to buy clean skincare without a bunch of synthetic fillers BUT i want it to DO something! Im 56yrs old with combination skin (i guess. I just call it “mature” skin) and this cream literally after one use made my face look well rested and luminescent.

I have uneven patches and it smoothed them too. After one week my skin is addicted to this lightweight formula. I almost thought it was TOO lightweight for my mature skin and yet I am actually getting compliments like never before the last couple of days.

I have found after using it for about a month that I love this cream for my face. It is by far the best I have ever tried. Most creams leave my face a bit greasy, but this soaks right in and leaves my face feeling baby soft and smooth.

TLDR; This is a great niacinamide serum that is comparable in texture and effectiveness to the Inkey List or The Ordinary. This helps control my oil production and prevent blackheads. However, if you have sensitive skin, the other active ingredients (willow bark and tea tree) as well as the herbal fragrance may be sensitizing and not for you.

Otherwise, great serum for oily peeps in adorable and heavy packaging! I was running out of my Inkey List niacinamide when this dropped, so I tossed it into my cart. This is surprisingly great! It’s a good consistency, maybe a little on the tacky side compared to the Inkey List, it’s helped control my oil when I’ve been using it twice daily, and I haven’t had any adverse reactions to it.

I’m an oily acne-prone skin type, and niacinamide is the holy grail ingredient for dealing with excess oil and blackheads. I also had experience using willow bark and tea tree before, and they are also nice for cutting down on my oil and preventing whiteheads.

Compared to the Inkey List and The Ordinary, this serum is similarly effective! Just note the other two active ingredients are not typically sensitive-skin friendly, especially tea tree. Speaking of sensitive skin, please note that this serum has fragrance!! It’s a medium-strength herbal scent, but it doesn’t last long and isn’t detectable once worked into the skin.

I actually enjoy the smell, and think it makes it kind of fun and relaxing to use (though if given the choice, I’d want it unscented in the future just on principle). However, if your issue is skin contact with fragrance, I’d maybe find an alternative! As good as this serum is, no product can be for everyone, so just give the ingredients a look over before purchasing!.

I bought this as an impulse buy while walking towards the pharmacy in the clearance section along with the oil control liquid lotion. I have oily skin, and embarrassing to say-large pores. I’ve used SOOO many different products to reduce the oil, reduce blemishes, keep moisturized without causing the oil to return, and reduce the size of my pores.

It began to be too much effort. This impulse buy was totally acceptable. This stuff has been working to not only control the oil production, but it NOTICEABLY has reduced the size of my pores in just a week.

Always cleansed and moisturised my skin with decent quality products but in January my skin was making me look old, it was dull and I was constantly battling texture, clogged pores on nose and build up of rough surface layer that looked dreadful under makeup.

Now use a range of good molecules products and my skin looks smoother, brighter and more youthful. I’m not needing to rely on harsh physical exfoliants either. Started with niacinamide and once I knew my skin tolerates it I added the gentle retinol cream.

These both improved my skin, recently added the pineapple exfoliating powder and vitamin C powder which further improved my skin. Squalane oil is nice to layer on afterwards to soothe skin. Does require research/reading info to check which products you can use together though but totally worth it.

It was always bad but became exponentially worse as I entered into my 20’s. I developed a compulsion to picking at my pimples which *obviously* led to pretty sever scarring. The only thing that worked for me at the time was a *very expensive* skincare brand that eventually changed formulas and no longer worked for me.

For the past three years, I had come to the conclusion that I would always have oily skin with dry patches and horrific acne. Until I found the combination of skincare that worked for me. I began using the niacinamide serum along with the discoloration correcting serum back in August along with my other skincare products.

When I tell you that this is the best skin I have had since the age of 11, I am not lying. These products are not advertised for helping with acne, but I have noticed that I have produced significantly less oil since utilizing these products at night and my acne itself has improved.

I used to have breakouts everyday, and I have not had a breakout in months. If anything, I will develop one or two pimples every couple of weeks. I have smaller pores and my acne scars have faded exponentially.

I also feel like my skin heals faster using this. If I have a scab from a popped pimple (we all do it), this helps it heal. I also had a cold, and after my nose being raw and flaky from tissue, this really helped it heal more quickly than anything else.

I also noticed some bigger pores on my forehead and cheeks start to look smaller and get less clogged. My breakouts have become less and less. My skin looks more even and brighter. AND I feel like it’s helped balance my dry skin’s my sebum production (as in it creates a little more) if that makes sense? This is a great product and I recommend it to those specifically like me struggling with: dry, sensitive, acne prone skin with hyperpigmentation and large, easily clogged pores.

I can actually feel my face begin to feel tighter. Ive tried other firming serums, but this product works so effectively. I plan to purchase other products from this company in the future. They also sell fruit enzyme cleaners, perfect C serum, G2 Instant firming, Magnolia Fresh eyes, and Incredible pumpkin peels.

I love that these ingredients are natural and made of fruit enzymes. The cost is affordable, also. I’m glad I found this product. Will continue to use daily.

This serum I have used it for one month now. I don’t see the differences so I will give it a 4-stars. Even though it is not a lightweight serum It absorbs quickly. It is a yellow creamy serum that it good to use while winters.

This serum is pure magic. It’s so light. Doesn’t make your face feel greasy. It’s completely affordable. I love using this product. It cleared up most of my acne. I recommend this to everyone.

This product is amazing– in every aspect! Those who do not care for fragrance would be offset by this highly fragrant almost piña colada/banana daiquiri inspired scent. I personally delight myself in fragrant product, so I really enjoy this scent the fact that it is fairly long lasting.

I’ve even had people ask me what I was drinking because something ‘smells so good’ (lol). Aside from the fragrance, this serum also performs amazingly. I have minor discoloration from past blemishes also tend to get very freckled skin in the summer time.

This serum helps lighten brighten, yet hydrates at the same time. It is a perfect cocktail for every time of year! The only downside, I do feel as though the serum is a bit too watery. Be sure to cup your hand or pump the serum in to your palm, as it is fairly runny and I have made the mistake of spraying it all over.

I’ve only been using this for two weeks so no conclusion on the overall result of this product. I will say that so far I prefer the C-ESTA Serum with Transformation Face Cream which I have used for years.

This Face cream is light on the skin, which is good, however the fragrance is not pleasant. There’s a hint of C-ESTA Serum scent, but mixed with something overpowering that rubs me the wrong way. Almost like burnt rubber and I can smell it for hours after application.

This serum has made such a noticeable difference to my skin. I have oily acne prone skin and always tend to get a few spots every couple of weeks and I was always anxious about the amount of shine on my face as I work outside in a difficult and physical job so sweating lots at times.

I found this product and it drastically reduced / eliminated my breakouts and the amount of shine. I use two drops AM & PM and it easily covers my whole face and dries quickly but not too quickly that it dries before you’re able to spread the product over your face like with The Ordinary’s version of this.

I’ve started using this with The Ordinary’s Azelaic acid 10% and the effect is stunning. In the AM I use this serum and the azelaic acid and then a SPF moisturiser from CeraVe which I love and my skin feels moisturised, protected and I feel confident in my own skin.

This product doesn’t dry out your skin which blows my mind. Highly recommended.

I have been using this for about a workweek by now (4-5 days) and it’s insane how quickly I’m noticing a difference in my skin. It’s brighter, smoother, and my pores are visibly tighter and smaller in appearance, ALREADY.

And I’m only using this at night. My boyfriend doesn’t specifically notice the exact things going on on my face, but has been a bit more complementary on my “cuteness. ” It’s important to note that my skin normally has minimal breakouts, but I’ve been getting some breakouts along the areas where my masks rub (trying to be better about not reusing the same cloth ones over and over) and lot of blackheads lately, which is what I’m trying to tackle.

This next part might be TMI, but in learning these ingredients are potentially good for tackling fungus (which, from my understanding, creates rashes), I decided to try this on a problem area where I get red under my boobs.

I have also changed bras for better lift and separation to reduce swampy boobs, but sometimes the issue pops up again. Using this product, the redness has been significantly reduced (again, in like 4-5 days, and once a day) and now it looks like it’s healing (skin there has been a bit damaged from the rashes).

I knew zinc was fantastic for many things—getting over colds faster, dandruff, bad breath (yup)—but recently learning about its benefits for facial and rest-of-body skincare has been a game changer. Love this product.

Over a 3 month timeframe, this pre-serum helped my skin. I am a mid-30s African American female with acne, combination skin, and hyperpigmentation. After washing my face, applying toner and a small drop hyaluronic acid to my skin, I would put a dime size amount of the pre-serum.

I followed this up with a light moisturizer. At first I didn’t notice any change, but once I started applying the product morning AND night, I started to see results over time. It didn’t help the blackheads on my chin or nose, but I noticed it really cleared up the cystic acne I typically get on/before my period.

This product did wonders for my cystic acne and I also noticed it helped to brighten a few of the more recent dark spots on my skin. For the price point (I managed to get it on sale) and the results I experienced, I would recommend this product.

I had blemishes all over my face, started using niacinamide from August 2021 in my AM routine for 4 months. It reduced my blemishes to a great extent. Made my skin smoother than before. It has healed a lot.

Its Feb 2022 now, purchased another bottle. It works well on my blemishes. You need to be dedicated to your skincare routine and do not expect overnight results. Once your skin gets used to the product it starts showing signs of improvement.

Have patience. Since my acne condition was severe, I had lot of blemishes. so I knew it won’t go away in a month or two. Depending on the status of your skin, the progress differs. For me, it’s working wonders.

And yes, not to forget. it gave an added glow that was missing for the past decade. My skin is alive. finally.

So, I stumbled upon be minimalist’s products in Jan 21 while looking to buy the likes of Paula’s choice and the ordinary. Read the detailed product descriptions on this website, the reviews and decided to make a purchase.

I got hyaluronic acid, niacinamide and Aha+bha peel. After a few trials and errors (mixing the wrong products/ not understanding what works when) I discovered how wonderfully niacinamide worked for me.

My problem – adult acne due to masking/ lack of water intake/ high sugar intake – permanent marks post acne Solution – focused on clearing the skin of acne and just used niacinamide (morning+sunscreen), (night+retinol) Improvement – in texture, none to lightened marks, no blackheads/ whiteheads.

Result time frame – give it atleast 10-15 days to show actual the difference and about 30-45 days for consistent improvement. Applications – 3-4 times a week (twice a day). Not regular at it still. Didn’t work for me with hyaluronic acid.

But I have combination skin + live in a hot and humid city. Will try again in winters. Let’s see how it works. Buy it if you want to bring back some life to your skin. PS – other lifestyle changes would still be required, but this can help speed up the process.

This is my first time incorporating a vitamin C serum into my skincare and I chose SkinCeuticals because of their research and very good reviews from dermatologists. The price tag is definitely something to consider but then the quality is something I am willing to pay for.

My skin can be randomly reactive but tolerates this serum well. In the morning, I wash my face, apply this serum and then straight to a tinted SPF. It’s a sticky serum so my SPF needs to be applied quite quickly, and then my skin looks matte for the rest of the day.

I personally don’t notice any big difference in my skin after two weeks of using it but, people have commented on my skin being radiant and healthy looking, so this serum must be doing something (didn’t tell anybody I am using it).

Also, when I touch my skin it feels more supple, somewhat more happy. So definitely going to continue using it. Just a tip: keep it tightly closed, keep the bottle in the carton box it came with. Vitamin C is a very unstable molecule and exposed to light and air it does not live long (you’ll know this is the case if your serum turns to more brown than yellow).

I will criticise the delivery system though- why a dropper SkinCeuticals? For such a fragile ingredient you charge so much and a dropper? Which increases the chances of oxidation. It should be in an air tight container.

When I pay so much money for skincare, I want it to not only be a product, but a solution. Couldn’t care less about your fancy droppers, protect your product properly. Because if you are thinking that I’ll buy another serum from you if my current one oxidises too quickly it’s a no.

It’s a you problem. But, at the moment, serum itself seems to be doing what it’s supposed to so will see what the future brings. Although this is still a relatively new product from SkinCeuticals, it has quickly become my new favorite Vitamin C serum! For those wondering about the differences between this serum and Phloretin CF and CE Ferulic (arguably the 2 of the most popular products from the SkinCeuticals line), Silymarin CF is specifically formulated for oily and acne-prone skin.

The formulation in this serum is very similar to CE Ferulic (both contain 15% Vitamin C and. 5% Ferulic Acid), but Silymarin CF also contains Salicylic Acid and Silymarin for added exfoliation and antioxidant protection.

In the past, I’ve typically used CE Ferulic during the colder winter months and Phloretin CF during the warm summer months, but now, I’ve found Silymarin CF to be extremely effective for me year-round.

I love pairing this product with the SkinCeuticals LHA Cleansing Gel and Blemish + Age Defense serum, and a sunscreen (I love the Physical Matte UV Defense SPF 50 for those with oily skin!). Silymarin CF is a bit pricey, but worth every penny – I highly recommend it!.

One of the best serums around for great skin. I have been using for years on the recommendation of my aesthetician. I get compliments very often on my beautiful skin. This serum helps to balance my skin tone and decreased breakouts like magic.

I truly like this serum. The Phot-C Skincare Supreme Serum really softens your skin leaving it feeling soft and glowing, my skin is much brighter and I use it every morning. I am not a fan of the scent.

The scent however does not linger too long and fades away so I am going to continue to use it.

I am in perimenopause and my combination skin has been flaring up with acne, oiliness in the T-zone. and dryness on the cheeks. I have been trying every product to try to calm my skin and came across the Triple-Acid Resurfacing Serum.

I was very impressed by how gentle this serum feels. There is an 8. 5% Triple Acid Complex comprised of Salicylic Acid, PHA and Tranexamic Acid plus 10% Niacinamide. This composition really makes for an effective treatment that doesn’t irritate the skin or cause dryness.

It felt like I was just moisturizing skin. The dropper helps to control the amount of product you need for your skin and I generally used a drop in each zone of my face (about 5 drops). I used this serum at night and woke up without feeling too oily.

This is a gradual process to getting calmer and clearer skin.

I love the colour and look of the bottle, I also find the serum easy to get out of the bottles, with a couple of taps. The serum feels very light and sinks into my skin easily. I love the idea of Probiotic actions working on my skin with the Salicylic anti blemish, keeping my skin supple and brighter.

This has also helped to clear a stubborn spot that had been taking its time to disappear! I have only been using this for about 5 days so am looking forward to how my skin will look in about a month.

Four stars instead of 5 due to the fact that I really do not like the smell of the serum. However this does disappear once it’s on my face. It’s not a perfumed which I like, but the smell isn’t pleasant.

This has become my little bottle of first aid for the skin as and when I need it. I have found that since wearing face masks and having really sensitive skin, my face was more prone to break outs and blemishes.

I certainly don’t have that problem any more. As soon as I feel my skin becoming irritated I apply a few drops and it has a lovely cooling and calming sensation. Goodbye to those embarrassing blemishes and hello to silky smooth blemish free skin.

I carry this with me everywhere I go. Highly recommend.

I’m a 34 y/o male, slightly oily skin with a blemish here or there. I’ve been using this product as a 2nd of 3 stages morning cleansing routine and in the main am very impressed. Firstly the look and packaging.

In my opinion I love this one along with the entire Byoma range with the pastel colours and square edged bottles. It really stands out and catches your eye in the bathroom! Application is easy, once finished using a cleanser on my face I’ve been using this serum.

It uses a baster style tool, 3 to 4 drops is recommended which I’ve found is probably about right. After application my skin does feel dry but this is equalised out with the stage 3 of Byoma’s range; the moisturizing gel – cream.

The 30ml bottle is enough as only a few drops is needed per application. As mentioned, I use this serum as step 2 of 3 (1 being the Byoma jelly cleanser and 3 being the Byoma moisturizing gel-cream) and all in all with the 3 stages my skin feels amazing, definitely looks smooth, hydrated and generally in good health! I think with this serum it definitely is to be used as part of a wider cleaning regime.

Firstly a face wash and lastly some form of moisturiser. The Byoma range as a combination feels great and my skin is most definitely brighter and appearing healthier!.

I received this product along with three others in the range as a part of Boots Review Panel. I have been using them together as intended. I absolutely love the packaging. Especially as there was no additional cardboard.

The square shape is so much neater and saves shelf space and the colours make them easy to distinguish. I also like the listing on the side of the bottles making it easy to know which order to use them in, and the fact that they are unscented is a pleasant change.

Due to time constraints this is a first impressions review. This is very easy to apply due to the dropper bottle and a little goes a long way. The morning after when I have used all four products in tandem my skin has felt amazing, super soft, bright and refreshed.

However I have experienced a few more minor spots than usual, but this could be hormonal or just my skin adjusting to a new routine.

This brand as a whole is amazing. The packaging is bright and fun and as there are no boxes with the items it’s better for the environment. I also love how all their products tell you which order best to use them on the side so you can easily combine 3/4 for a daily routine.

There isn’t a strong smell to this serum unlike others I’ve tried in the past and a few drops go a long way. This serum has also worked well with my sensitive skin and I’ve not had any redness/burning etc which is great! When applied in the morning before moisturizer and makeup, I’ve noticed my skin has looked brighter.

The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because Im not a fan of the dropper bottle design and I fear it’s going to get harder to get the product out later down the line. I used this combined with their face mist and rich moisturiser daily and my face has never felt smoother or fresher.
