20 Best Selfie Stick For Gopro (2023 Updated)

Perfect for the Go pro! It’s the perfect size to not look obnoxious or over dramatic and fit in your hand or fanny pack or purse. If you have the GoPro subscription it’ll be around $10 less but if you don’t there’s no point in getting it.

I have the subscription but wanted it immediately so I got it the same day from Best Buy! It’s lightweight, extends a little and is small – very small – much smaller than the arm and tripod. The only thing that I didn’t like is that it didn’t come with a standard thumb screw but just a tiny silver screw which was a bit difficult to put in and popped out! So I use a thumb screw which barely fits with the media mod added but does! Also, when the camera is extended it doesn’t lock into place, so it can fall, but mine hasn’t.

Also, it doesn’t extend much but enough that if you use max view and you’re trying to take a selfie with a couple friends it looks good. I use the go pro hero 9 and the shorty is my favorite to carry around because it’s convenient and not bulky like the others!.

Cheap plastic feel, light-weight and slippery. Used during a concert and it’s so light weight as a tripod, with no tact on the bottom, the bass nearly floated the camera off a table. I put gaff strips for a better grip, but this thing just isn’t worth the money.

Seems like most of the cost goes to the consistently over-the-top GoPro packaging. Now looking for a better handle.

I read some negative reviews on this before purchasing but honestly they were wrong. This is a solid built handle/tripod. It’s super handy and compact. It feels quality built and sturdy. By far my favorite handle for general use due to its compact size.

The build material is primarily metal minus the legs which are plastic. Despite the price I definitely think it’s worth it!.

Zero Stars. Total piece of junk. Used it two times. Broke on the third use. The piece that attaches the camera mount to the extendable wand snapped while sitting at my desk. I mean. serious piece of junk DO NOT BUY.

The best part. is beyond my Time to return it. Seriously DO NOT BUY this item. It is cheaply made garbage. but you’d never know that based upon its $cost$. Even when the item wasn’T broken, it didn’t extend smoothly.

Used this a lot the first month. I have others and j now prefer this one. The wider grip fits my hand better then the skinny grips and keeps the camera upright better and not slanted. Tripod function works good.

The only downfall is sticks a little on the twist to open or close it. I have not tried lubricant but that will prob fix it. I’ve used it in salt water with gopro underwater. I just rinse it off and had.

One of the worst tri-pods I’ve ever used. Unfortunately, it would often unlatch from the poll and drop which would happen frequently when taking selfies and even worse during video recordings which ruins the video you are recording.

I would expect something of far better quality from GoPro. Look elsewhere for your tri-pod.

The SANDMARC pole compact edition has a 11 inch height when fully collapsed and a 25 inch height when it’s fully extended. It has twist sections that loosen or tighten back up. In order to make it shorter or longer just loosen, adjust and tighten it back up.

It’s quick and easy to adjust. It has a large and soft handle grip that makes it easy and comfortable to hold on to. It also has a thick wrist strap for safety and it might save your camera from being destroyed if you were to ever drop it.

The shaft of this extendable pole is made of aluminum with a matte black finish. It’s very lightweight but strong and sturdy enough that I trust it to carry my very pricey full frame DSLR. I have used both that camera and my cheaper regular compact point and shoot digital camera.

Both of them are able to attach directly to the top of this pole with the small tripod screw. I only use this pole with my digital cameras and not a GoPro but it works great for me. I was also able to connect my Sony action cam to it.

It also includes a mounting bracket that you will need in order to connect your GoPro to the top of this pole. This pole is small and easy to carry around but it allows you to get your camera up over a crowd and get clear pictures or video from a clearer area.

It can be very useful when going to things like sporting events and races and even my daughters choir concerts. This pole is professional quality at an affordable price so I would consider it a very good value.

I have been using the GOPRO camera for about 18 months. After buying it I bought a few different accessories all made by GOPRO. All of them good quality but costly. I then noticed products by other companies so I tried a few.

The quality was not the greatest. Somehow I came across Sandmarc and their products looked good so I gave them a try. I am glad I did. Not only do they make quality products but they are also at a reasonable price.

Their pole has performed well everytime I have used it, and there is so much to like about it. This is a compact pole and adjusts from 10″-25″. The locking system will securely keep the length wherever you want it.

The poles handle is a rubber grip that is embossed to look like a window screen. You won’t ever have to worry about losing your grip. For safety & security there is a wrist strap. I was surprised when I picked it up at its weight.

I thought it would have been heavier. The pole is also waterproof so there is no need to worry if you get caught in the rain or bring it to use for any water related activity. While the pole was designed as a GOPRO accessory you can use it with any device that has a 1/4″ thread.

I have to say it but it hurts me, you can use it as a selfie stick. As a first time user of Sandmarc products I have been impressed enough to try some of their other ones.

I have not used it yet for vlogging. But with that said it is put together very well I dont like my vlogging equipment to raddle or rock when being used. Nice product the only down fall is the nut that is on the GoPro mount.

It should be made into the plastic mount. Other than that I would give it a 9 out of 10.

The stick claims it’s suitable for all GoPro models but when using a GoPro Max in 360 degree mode it is impossible to position the camera in a way that hides the mount. It creates large distorted black areas along the seam and covering your hand and parts of body.

Since a big reason to have a 360 camera plus selfie stick is to shoot yourself it kinda defeats the purpose.

The stick comes without any rope which is mandatory for such item. At list needed to mention that it is not include the rope and give the opportunity to buy it separately

Pros: Sturdy. Easy to fit. feels solid within your hand. Long extension range. Cons: No lanyard in the box?

In my experience, the Volta does not actually provide extended recording times, it works more like an external battery pack. It requires the GoPro to use a battery, whereas other similar devices will allow the GoPro to be used without an internal battery.

The battery is one of the biggest limiting factors with the GoPro, especially when it comes to heat and recording times. There are better options out there, so I highly suggest that you do some research before you waste money on this device.

The gopro Volta is almost perfect. Tripod, handheld power bank with controls. However the Volta was designed to work with the gopro hero 9 and 10 only. You can use the power bank to power older models.

But thag about it. Gopro has confirmed that they will not release updates for older models to suport the volta buttons to control gopro hero 8 and older.

Using with a GoPro Hero 8 for vlog duty on a motorcycle and while walking. It’s a lightweight design with a twist-to-click extension and locking mechanism that’s a little bit fiddly to use, but seems pretty secure once you get used to it.

Handle is grippy and comfortable. The attachment point is a standard 1/4″-20 threaded screw for cameras, so you’ll need an adaptor to mount a GoPro. Telescopes up and down to a practical size and tucks easily into the side pocket of my camera backpack.

Overall happy with the purchase and the price was reasonable.

I love how it just disappears. It can easily attach to a tripod, light stand or even a hotshot if you have the right attachments and the results are fantastic. When shooting VR it enhances the feeling of being inside the video.

It’s like magic and I think it’s a must have if you use the insta360 for any VR videos.

Nice, sturdy, no frills pole. Fully extended into tripod mode the lens sits at 46′ high. could be a tad bit taller, especially for virtual tours but as a handheld it is perfect length when fully extended.

Don’t have a say on long term durability but for the two weeks I’ve had it it has held up quite well.

I use the stick with my Insta360 One RS during hiking trips. its extend a good distance for 360 video and retracts where it’s portable.

The tripod feature is convenient but sketchy. It telescopes without locking which is weird but kind of nice.

I love this. I bought it used but it came like brand new, even packaged like a new one. I was surpised at how small it is. It’s very small diameter, and short length. Super light weight. But it extends out very long.

It is threaded 1/4 20 on the bottom.

Threaded head does not mate with provided gopro mount. There’s no way to secure standard gopro mounts to the telescopic arm.

Great for underwater use of gopro when you are above water.

Bad review because it requires a quick release buckle (the part your GoPro is attached to and slides into the mount). If you already have this piece, then sure, this is a good product. If you don’t have the quick release buckle, don’t expect to be able to use this immediately.

The specifications and “what’s in the box” list are so ambiguous that it was a massive chore just to find out what the blasted thing is called. Good luck finding a replacement, by the way. They aren’t sold anywhere I can find online or in-store.

They don’t even come in the accessories and mounting pack. I wanted a waterproof extension arm for my GoPro to use underwater, but all I got was a couple hours wasted on my vacation and a few returns to process.

GoPro’s proprietary mounting system and scarcity issue sucks for customers and sucks because GoPro cameras are great. I’m giving up. Screw GoPro. I bought a Joby waterproof extension arm instead.

The tripod is largely pointless given that it doesn’t have rubber feet and will slide on any smooth surface. It may be made usable if you are willing to add some rubber ends to the tips, but then there are better options out there for mini tripods or GoPro handles / grips without investing the DIY time.

The other two pieces are the main reason I bought this kit — either one does the trick when needing to mount a GoPro to a 1/4-20 threaded tripod screw. I have purchased an off brand version, and fit and finish weren’t precise enough to make it useful for anything but locked down static shots.

I only wish that maybe the mounts were machined metal instead of plastic.

Wow, it’s somewhat amazing just HOW MANY GoPro cameras I have bought from Best Buy and even more amazing how many nice accessories they have in inventory that are useful. IF YOU are a Grand Father, then listen up, or if you’re smart enough to listen to we adventurous seniors then you’ll appreciate that Best Buy stocks a LOT of GoPro accessories.

I have the Sandmarc GoPro pole (metal edition). The pole itself seems to work well. However, I was surprised and concerned that the mounting device comes apart in 3 small pieces (the bolt, a small nut and a small O-ring).

I use my GoPro in river situations with cold hands and the pieces are super easy to drop (and lose) when mounting the GoPro. Yes I could mount it prior but sometimes that is not always practical. Last time I almost dropped the bolt which would have prevented me from using the pole.

Looked for replacement pieces to have on hand but does not seem you can order separately. Other poles I have used have the nut connected to the mount. Am I missing something?.

have not used it yet. But upon setting up to record with the Phone holder it BROKE springs popped out losing one. It was the first time using it a day after receiving the 2 items. I was very disappointed to say the least and it held bearing on if I really trust my expensive phone or GOPRO with the extension seeing as thought IPHONE holder so easily came apart.

I use a GoPro Hero 4 and aLuxebell C200 Aluminium Protective Case Shell with a Rode mic mounted on top, so the combination is a little heavier than just a routine GoPro. I was having stability problems with typical GoPro selfie poles, and using a monopod was cumbersome.

The SANDMARC Metal Pole is sturdy/stable even at full extension with my gear and much easier to use than a monopod. The metal tripod base that came with the SANDMARC pole interfaces VERY well with the metal attachment bracket on the Luxebell Shell–much stronger than plastic mounts! In addition, it is important that the equipment I use look professional–I am VERY pleased with the quality and looks.

Very good build quality! When used in selfie stick mode its very sturdy and strong! You are able to get a good grip when taking selfies! Very compact when compared to other tripods/stands that are selfie/non selfie stick I really like the all in one design kinda looks like a baton! In tripod stand mode is where it fails because its very unsteady and can easily be tipped over by hand or if its windy enough when compared to a normal tripod! If there is noone around or wind to tip it over its fine! The construction is good and tough! Wrll built Comes with 3 year warranty And Bluetooth control is rechargeable and comes with USB cable and requires no special app to operate!.

OMG! So happy with this product! Even better than imagined. Brilliant quality, premium feel. The design is so ergonomic and user friendly. You can tell they have really thought about the design. I love the way the tripod folds out – both as a selfie stick & tripod.

The handle is so nice. The build quality is great, really pleased with how sturdy it is. Will sit on rough ground no problem and the remote is absolutely brilliant! het handvat ligt door de dikte stevig in je hand daardoor kun je erg goed je afstandsbediening bedienen. De kop waar je de camera op zet kun je, na het losdraaien van het schroefje, alle kanten op draaien en weer vast zetten.

HET GROTE NADEEL is de bevestiging van het kapje die over je afstandsbediening heen gaat, ik heb de pole een paar keer gebruikt en nu is er een lipje afgebroken waardoor het afdek kapje half los zit.

al met al is het een erg goede remote pole maar als je het lipje afbreekt is je afstandsbediening niet meer goed te bevestigen.

My first selfie stick and I thought I would try this one as this company makes other products I enjoy. This selfie stick extends from 12. 9 inches to 39 inches with a simple twist to unlock and lock back.

It does not fit into small purses but I carry a small backpack usually and it fits right in and is lightweight enough that I do not notice it. My friend bought her one after seeing mine and now we can both take better pictures at different angles.

Phone is secure and the stick is stable. Easy to connect with the Bluetooth button. Do yourself a favor and invest in this one.

I wasnt sure what to expect in terms of quality but was very pleasantly surprised. The grip holds your phone very securely. The plastic is very sturdy and the metal pole doesnt bend or wobble. I absolutely love the tripod feature and the bluetooth camera button.

I think it’s cool how the button stores in the stick itself so you dont have to worry about losing it. My button came with a battery installed another one for spare. The only con I can think of is that this clip will only hold your phone landscape style and not portrait, but so far that hasnt been an issue for my calls or pictures like I thought it might.

Compact and cheap. It worked for one trip snowboarding but wonder how long it will last before breaking.

Appears solid and well made. Easy to use too but the safety strap is a bit pointless as it’s attached to the stick by very thin material and will most probably break.
