I liked the flexibility of stick and tri pod , but it needs a wrist strap option , unfortunately for me it slipped out of my hand in a boat and sank to the bottom of the ocean with my camera , if it had a strap it would not of happened.

I teach a high school Aeronautics STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) class, using the Flite Test STEM curriculum. Ive been using the PowerUp units since the early days of the 2. 0, but this 4.

0 is by far their best product! For my STEAM class, the students often go from chuck gliders (foam airplanes that you throw back and forth) to large RC aircrafts. The problem has often been taking the large leap in between chuck glider to RC aircraft, there needed to be something intermediate.

This PowerUp 4. 0 has been the perfect device to fulfill that need within my classroom. Students can now make a chuck glider, then make their chuck glider into a small RC aircraft by adding the PowerUp 4.

0. This allows them to see the flight characteristics, make the necessary modifications, and once everything works accordingly, then they build the full scale RC aircrafts. These PowerUp 4. 0 not only work great with paper airplanes, but also small balsa wood and foam gliders.

The biggest issues Ive had with these PowerUp 4. 0s is that my students argue over who gets to use it next and they spend too much time flying their PowerUp 4. 0 creations rather than moving onto their full scale RC aircrafts.

These PowerUp 4. 0s are a blast!My son (8 years old) has taken an interest in making various paper airplanes. Hes always wanting to attach the PowerUp 4. 0 to make it RC. Hes become quite good. He does need some assistance with his paper airplane folding and properly tuning the paper airplane, but hes quickly learning how to do those by himself.

A few words of advice from someone who has watched a lot of kids put this PowerUp 4. 0 through various trials:#1. Get the PowerUp Paper airplane book. It has some great paper airplane designs for various skill levels.

Plus, it has easy to follow information of how airplanes work and things to do to improve upon your flight performance. #2. Get the expansion pack. This will allow you to fly things, other than paper airplanes, such as those inexpensive balsa wood gliders and small foam gliders.

This will greatly diversify what you can potentially fly. I even had a student make an airplane using the cardboard from a cereal box. #3. Get the spare parts. Because you are going to crash and break a prop.

Overall, these PowerUps are pretty durable. Theyve hit gym walls over 20 feet up and hit the ground pretty hard. Im not saying these are indestructible, but they are durable. Keep the foam piece on the front of the powerpod.

If you are designing your own aircraft, placing the powerpod behind the frame of the aircraft can also add an additional layer of protection. Plus, propellers are going to break, especially if you fly indoors.

I strongly recommend flying outdoors, where the grass is much more forgiving on the propellers. If you do fly indoors, Ive had my students incorporate something in their designs to protect the propellers (typically a vertical stabilizer that prevents the propellers from touching the ground.

#4. Fly in an open area with calm winds. Gymnasiums would work, but the hard floors (and walls) are harder on the PowerUps, especially their propellers. Something about the size of a tennis court (or soccer/football field) is ideal.

These also need to fly in near calm winds, so early morning or late afternoon are most ideal. #4. Try making gliders out of foam. DollarTree foamboard works well, but you cannot go too big. Removing the paper from the foamboard helps to greatly reduce the overall weight.

Also, cutting up foam plates work well. A good source of large and thin foam sheets is to get some scratch foam, found at craft stores or Amazon. The Melissa and Doug brand of scratch foam has large thin flat sheets of scratch foam available on Amazon.

#5. Get two PowerUp 4. 0because they are fun! Sharing with someone and watching them fly isnt nearly as fun as flying along side of them (and challenging each other). As both a science teacher and as a father, I highly recommend the PowerUp 4.

0. If you dont have a child to give this to, then buy it for your inner childtheyll thank you for it. Something else to consider, these make great gifts/stocking stuffers!.

This is the most amazing little device! With a little creativity, some paper/tape, a PowerUp 4. 0 module, and a USB powerbank, you can have an entire afternoon of flight, a chance to teach or explore aerodynamics, or all three!First of all, the PowerUp 4.

0 is extremely sturdy, the build quality is fantastic. My only structural concern is the bluetooth antenna, which is a thin wire protruding from a hard plastic protector. In an upside-down/flip crash it could shear off the bulk of the antenna, which would likely require replacement to properly connect again.

Other than that, it’s got a foam nose cushion to protect against direct impacts, and extra propellers in case you lose one. I’ve flown a variety of models built from anything from balsa wood, to foam, cardstock, paper, and even parchiment paper (that one doesn’t work so well, tape won’t stick to it).

The PowerUp module tries valliantly to stablize whatever it’s attached to. I’ve probably reached a max of 200 ft altitude, but make sure your model is pointed in a “safe” direction just in case, because if it disconnects, I suspect it’ll just cut power and glide.

Each model you build/fly can have dramatically different flight characteristics. I’ve flown the balsa model in 10-12 mph winds, but for most paper planes you pretty much need still air, if you can find it.

Update (Dec 1, 2020) Shortly after writing this review someone gave me a second PowerUp! Trust me, it’s totally worth it to get a second! The batteries last about 15 minutes, so together I can get about a half-hour of continuous flight time.

That’s about as much flying time as I can spare with small kids at home. But I think if you brought along a little battery-powered USB charger and charged the first while flying the second, you’d have just about enough time to eat a granola bar before the first was recharged again and ready to fly.

I think doing that you could probably get a pretty full afternoon of flying! I’ll see if I can try it over the holidays and report my results here. I also highly recommend finding a nearby field. The field does not have to be particularly large (these are tiny planes, after all) but it makes a HUGE difference to be able to fly around without worrying about colisions or getting it stuck/lost.

I’ve completely stopped flying around my neighborhood: too many houses and trees. Literally, almost anything will work cereal boxes, egg cartons, milk jugs, junk mail (card stock), etc. Paper is cheap, foam board can be found at your dollar store, and with just a couple sheets of balsa you can make at least 3 airplanes.

This is a wonderful SelfieTripod Stick! The On-Air Selfie Tripod is quite nifty in design and style. A very lovely and simple tripod as well as a selfie stick, monopod. It is easier to use for many online sharing purposes as well as personal.

I love that you can connect the remote with the Bluetooth on the phone to get control over the start of taking the photographs, selfies, podcasts, videos, action shots and so many other things you can use this for.

It’s quite reliable and very easy to handle as well as use for a quick setup or put-away. It’s not hard to work with and easy to learn right when you open the box. Especially for the connecting of the remote, which can or don’t have to be used.

One issue, if the slip-free rubberized feet on the tripod legs aren’t spread enough the weight of the phone may cause it to crash. Other than that, I would totally recommend this to anyone who loves to take videos, photos, and much more with there phone’s camera.

I received the ON AIR Selfie Tripod Stick in exchange for my honest review. I really enjoyed using this product and found it very user friendly. It was wonderful for taking both pictures and videos using both the selfie stick and the tripod modes.

It came in very handy for family photos using the included remote! Finally everyone was able to be in the picture without someone missing that’s taking the photo! The videos I took were very clear, centered, and still as I was able to put the tripod on my desk while using it.

The only downsides for me was that it didn’t come with instructions. However, after some time I was able to figure it out independently how to use the remote. In addition, I needed to take off the Popsocket on my phone as well as the case to make it fit properly in the clasp.

My phone is on the larger size so perhaps with a smaller phone that wouldn’t be necessary. Overall, I would recommend this to others looking for a phone tripod and/or selfie stick!.

The product is designed to be used without a phone case. Will not fit a high quality protective case. Other than that the ideas wonderful. My dogs killed the squeaker within 10 minutes.

This is a very nice selfie stick. I recently went on a trip and used it everywhere! The tripod stand is great to use and is very stable due to the middle stand I was able to set it on all flat surfaces easily.

It is very easy to connect to the phone and turns off automatically after no use for some time. 100% recommended.

A very nice lower end product that is more readily available to the more cost conscience collector. It would be nice if the sp player cards were more abundant. I really liked the insert cards that were randomly available in some packs.

A very well made & very compact – ideal for selfie shots- this version is available for and is ideal for most compact cameras with a screw thread on the base.

Both clips were bent narrowly so would not open as much to clip onto a phone. But great idea in theory and it does capture the cats attention.

I just can’t seem to give this camera enough light to take a satisfying picture. Outside during the middle of the day, inside with all the lights on AND the flash firing, outside with the flash – none of it seems to really make enough of an impact to get an adequate exposure.

I’ve let the photos develop in a closet with no light for fifteen minutes and really feel like I’ve done my due diligence. But dissatisfaction in the final results seems to be the constant. Which is a shame, because you CAN take some cool pictures.

I love the double exposure option and how easy it is to activate and use this mode. If the aim is making expressionistic, more experimental photos then, hey, this could be a really fun tool for you. I took a picture of my dog, knowing full well she wouldn’t still for two seconds, and got some really cool motion blur.

Again, I wish the picture was brighter overall, but the effect was neat. And to be fair… reveling in the happy accidents you’ll have is one of the main reasons for owning a Polaroid. It’s obviously a nice product to begin with, at this point, so perhaps adjusting expectations will leave potential buyers completely satisfied.

But still. The pictures aren’t bright enough. I’ve got a Polaroid camera from the 70s and it has better exposure options. All that aside, this is an incredibly small camera and I love the design of it.

The pictures may be small and imperfect, but the camera is a real joy to simply hold in your hand. The design makes you WANT to take pictures with it. The stickers and all that are fun things that kids might enjoy and the price is right for an easy gift purchase for some little one’s first ever camera… but there are other options out there that aren’t much more expensive which take better exposed photos more consistently.

So, unless you’re in that niche group of experimenters who knows what they’re getting with this, it’s difficult for me to recommend.

My nieces love and collect these dolls and I look for ones they don’t already have so I can gift them for Christmas. They are great and fun for them and these were very well priced.

I played with Polly Pocket as a kid and love that now I can see my nieces enjoy playing with them as well! This tiny little doll is a lot of fun (head moves as well as the arms and legs) and if you have a few, you can interchange the clothes.

Be mindful of the age of kids playing with these as some of the pieces are tiny and can get lost easily.

It comes with 4 different posters which all have different designs, I barely had to decorate and everything was so nice. They are folded so when you pull them out they’re creased when hanging them up, but I didn’t mind that.

I loved the item was packaged and exactly what I was looking for. The item was for my son’s 12th birthday party.

Many moons ago, there were no selfies or such things as selfie sticks. So this in itself is a great invention with all the technology we are offered these days. It’s awesome how there’s a ring light, a phone holder and a tripod which makes it so much easier to do Vlogs and/or do video calls w/ friends & family.

It’s also great for Zoom calls, Skype, etc. The bright light is perfect for keeping my face lit up and helps take good photos and videos while keeping my hands free while. I have used it for online meetings so I can keep typing while it’s videoing.

It’s also great to take on the go, especially when I’m traveling so I can take selfies or carry it around to video what I’m doing. I’ll definitely be using this more often as I go places. I can even take pics from a higher perspective.
