20 Best Self Tanning Lotion For Pale Skin (2023 Updated)

This is definitely the best fake tanner I’ve used and I have used many including the higher end ones like coco and eve etc. The smell is light and fades quickly, it’s cruelty free which is a requirement for me and the results are the most natural I’ve ever had, no orange, no streaks.

Like a natural golden tan after a day at the beach, it doesn’t transfer or get sticky and a little goes a long way. I used a buffing mitten to apply and put clothes on 15-20 minutes after. It also made my skin feel so soft.

The Alba Botanica is a sunless tanning lotion. Simply just put some on your plans, rub your hands and start rubbing all over your body avoiding your eyes! You do not need to lay in the sun. Just sit back and watch the magic happen.

This product is not sunscreen and does not protect against the sun. For a darker tone, simply just reapply in 3 to 4 hours. It is non streaking for minks that forms quickly for a natural looking tan.

It may get on your clothes as well. For best results, avoid swimming, bathing and or exercising. It is a cream based lotion, smells really great. I love the results of it & will continue to buy the product.

I highly recommend this product.

I was hesitant at first about this tanning lotion since this was the first product from this line, but after using the lotion on multiple different occasions throughout the year, I can honestly say this lotion is truly the best out there.

This product really does give you a nice yet subtle tan without the hassle of a mousse or tanning mitts. It does not leave you with an orange-y tint either which is what I was initially afraid of when first applying the product since so many other lotions on the market today end up turning you too “fake” looking and streaky, but i can honestly say this lotion does the opposite which is so REFRESHING to see.

My only complaint is the after smell: Initially the Sandalwood smell is pleasant when first applied onto the skin, but after a couple of days, I do notice that the tan starts smelling like your typical “tanning lotion” which I was hoping wouldn’t happen with this formula! That said, this could just be the way my body is reacting to the lotion as it seems like other reviews do not mention having the same issue with the smell as I do so probs dependent on the user at the end of the day.

Either way, the tan smell is not unbearable or too noticeable IMO, so I would say this product is a 10/10 for me and something I will always keep in my bathroom for year around use!.

lol like the title says the self tanning cream is AMAZING. I’ve been self tanning for about 10 years now so you can imagine I’ve tried them all – Loving Tan, St. Tropez, Bondi Sands, GloPro Tan, St. Moriz, Vita Liberata, professional spray tans, you name it.

Although I like the mousse for the fact that it’s an instant, extra dark bronze, nothing beats the lasting power of this lotion. I used to tan every Sunday night with my ultra dark mousse, shower the next morning as you should, and I would get a strong 2-3 days out of it before it started patching on my hands, inside arms, neck, and feet.

I cannot recommend this self tanning lotion enough – I’ve gone through about 6 bottles so far and always keep 3 on hand. It’s creamy, easy to blend, smells nice, and most importantly, gives you a good, buildable tan that lasts through everyday showers and baths for a good week.

I also really like that you don’t have to use a mitt, just make sure to wash your palms otherwise those will turn dark. The color it gives it very sun kissed, definitely more of a warm based tan but NOT ORANGE.

I am naturally a very, very pale, pink tone, usually a step up from the lightest generic foundation, so the first night I apply I don’t see a huge difference but you can tell my overall tone is a little darker and a lot more even.

The second application the following night is when the magic happens – this is when it matches my dark tanning mousse that I love. After using it two nights in a row I will switch to a regular lotion for a couple nights and then maybe use the self tanning cream one more time before I totally exfoliate my body and start over.

The packaging is to die for and the ingredients are incredible, it actually leaves your skin feels hydrated unlike my other mousse self tanners. The last thing I’m going to say is I just purchased the self tanning drops and have used those a couple of times on my face – love, and have been mixing them with the lotion to get a deeper bronze, again, LOVE.

I’ve only used that routine twice now and I am noticeably darker than when I just use the lotion, and I haven’t broken out from the drops yet either. I’m sure they will become just as much as a staple in my routine as the lotion.

My absolute favorite tanning product to date!!! Very hydrating, doesn’t smell bad, doesn’t have to be showered off the next day, no streaking or unevenness, very real looking, doesn’t stain the hands, doesn’t stain clothes or bedding, and incredibly easy and hassle free.

It offers great buildable color if you aren’t looking for an intense mouse type dark tan which might only be able to be achieved with that type of product but it is soo amazing, I don’t see myself ever going without this product and am so grateful to find such an easy to use tanner.

12 face product as other face tanners dried my skin out and this is the only one I have found that doesn’t do that so bonus for me on not having to wear foundation any longer. I paid for this product in full and have no affiliation with this brand and normally do not write reviews but its that good and I couldn’t not take the chance to hype it up in case someone is on the fence about buying it.

This product is more like an actual self tanner rather than a gradual self tanning lotion. In the past I have used Jergens Natural Glow, St. Tropez Watermelon Gradual Tanning Lotion, and more recently Bondi Sands Gradual Tanning milk.

I really like Loving Tans ultra dark foaming self tanner so I wanted to try this product next. After showering, exfoliating, and drying off I applied the product to my skin like you would a lotion. When I woke up the next morning I was like 12 shades deeper!! Which was fine and it looked nice except I didn’t pay meticulous attention to my feet, ankles, or knees because I wasn’t expecting such a dark payoff so quickly.

The tops of my feet and my ankles looked hilarious but everywhere else was a nice deep, golden, hydrated looking tan. I didn’t even have to re-apply the product to achieve the desired effect. Next time I will use the lotion more sparingly to have better control over how deep it develops.

I would definitely recommend this lotion to more experienced tanners but keep in mind that a little really does go a long way.

This product is SO GOOD. I recommend it to all of my clients. If you’re looking for an easy way to self tan, this is it. I would take “gradual” lightly. I put it on one time and I’m pretty tan (I’m really pale and I use the medium shade).

It takes me 2 minutes to apply to my entire body, doesn’t stain sheets, sweat proof (for me), and doesn’t transfer at all. I use it a couple of times a week after I shower and before I go to bed and when I wake up I’m a tan.

It does have a smell, like most do, but I really don’t mind it. When I wake up in the morning I don’t smell it at all! I’ve been on my same bottle for over a month now so it lasts me a pretty long time.

A little product goes a long way!.

I’ll start by saying I have been spray tanning and using sunless tanners/lotions for years. This was my first time using this product and at first, I loved the tan it gave me! It went on smooth and even.

BUT, I woke up the next day covered in a full body rash that keeps getting worse each day. I’m having to apply anti-itch creams and take antihistamine to help the rash subside. I’m now leaving for a trip to Hawaii semi tan and covered in an itchy rash.

I have never had a product do this to my skin so I’m extremely disappointed. DO A TEST FIRST if you’re going to try for the first time! I wish I had. :(.

I have this one and the spray version, and I love them both. Believe me when I say I have tried EVERY brand of self tanner out there. drugstore and High end. This one gives you instant color that STAYS and does not smell at all! It is great to put on last minute before going out if you are feeling pale, because unlike the other brands it will not look orange as it develops and will not have an odor.

Between this one and the spray version, I do like the spray better though!.

I’ve purchased many self tanning lotions and this one has worked the best for me. Never turns me orange and the lotion is never a dark hidious green when I open it. Yay!!!

Works well, I was scared at first because of how dark it is but it rubs in good gradually builds up. I like the smell too. Make sure you rub it in as soon as it touches your skin because it stains very fast.

When applying to your face I recommend moisturizing right after to even out the color. I received mine in the fall 2016 Beautycon box.

i like this product. its the first one ive ever used. i applied it at night and by the morning the glitter was gone. there are a few places where it rubbed off so i need to be nore careful next time.

also i probably wont put any on my feet next time. i used a makeup brush and that still wasnt a good idea. everywhere i used a mitt looks pretty good though. it is quite dark against my fair skin so for sure should have went down to light maybe but overall not bad.

not a fan of the sticky ness while its drying but easy to get over when you just expect it. it didnt stay sticky. i do wish it dried a little faster. its very hard to get off though so while thats probably mostly a good thing.

its harder to get rid of mistakes.

I’m so glad I found this at Walmart. I used this a couple yrs ago and loved it but have been unable to find it at the other drug store I shop at. The application is hard to mess up and if you exfoliate with both a scrub and a glove, it goes on so well and leaves an even glowy color to my skin.

I use a cheap application glove to apply it. I’ve used soooo many sunless tanners and I am sick of the streaking ( mousse is notorious for streaking). I don’t get the bad reviews on it being ‘watery’, mine is a thicker gel- like consistency.

And this stuff is only $10. I would say this is Loreal’s best product.

Ladies! I know you hate the process of self tanning just as much as the rest of us. These have made my life so much easier. In less than 5 minutes my whole body is done and I get such a nice non orange tan! I only need one towel to do my whole body and it lasts atleast a week.

If you want to get darker just do another round the following day or something like that. You don’t get that gross tanning smell and you don’t have to make your boyfriend do your back cause you can’t reach lol I really love these so much I can’t say enough good things and you can pick them up at Walmart.

I’ve literally tried them all from St tropes to loving tan and everything in between and this is my favourite!.

I am an avid bondi sands shopper and I have loved their other self-tanning products in the past! Specifically the Self Tanning Foam in dark and the PURE gradual self tanning lotion. Sadly this product does not do it for me at all.

After a weeks of use I started noticing this horrible discoloration happening on my skin / these patches of tan break up. It was as if the self-tanner was separating on my skin and making it look extremely patchy and uneven (and yes I take all of the exfoliating, moisturizing, etc steps).

This has never happened to me and I am not sure if it is because this is the Ultra Dark formula or if it is just this product itself. I am very upset and sadly will not be using this product any longer.

I usually buy the foam version but it had sold out. Bought this instead and applied with the mitt. Was genuinely concerned when I applied it because it didn’t seem to rub in well and I looked a muddy mess.

It was sticky for a good 20 minutes but I got dressed anyway. Didn’t have high hopes and thought it would be patchy but I was genuinely impressed when I rinsed it off the next day. I have an all over even colour and no streaks at all.

My skin feels so soft too. I think I prefer this end result to the foam bondi sands but the foam is easier and dries quicker. I have pale skin and dark hair. One coat was perfect. No orange tint at all.

Best results I’ve had from a self tanner. I’ve always hated the foam versions because they’re extremely sticky & you have to sit like still otherwise it’ll streak. This product is cream based so it’s very minimally sticky, smells nice, and easy to apply.

I exfoliated then applied once out of the shower, then a second later 30 min after as suggested on directions. Went to bed and woke up with the PERFECT tan. Get the ultra dark version. I didn’t use gloves as suggested, and woke up with very black hands but it washed away easily with a little scrubbing in the shower.

You gotta try this besties.

I’ve been using self tanner for years. In the past, the other Brand’s 1 hour tanner I had used required a lot of technique to look natural without streaks or dark patches. I had to work quickly and used regular lotion to dilute the areas that tan darker like the heel or knee area.

I had to rub in vigorously, allow at least 15 minutes of drying time and wash the hands as quickly as possible. The process was stressful and I usually worked up a sweat doing it. The worst of it was the horrible smell my skin had as it processed the self tanner.

I did this for years and got pretty good at it but finally gave up as I couldn’t handle the smell and the pressure to do everything perfectly for fear of embarrassing splotchy skin. I kept seeing this Jergens and the reviews.

My legs aren’t my best feature now that I’m close to 50Years old so I decided To help the legs out with a tan. I chose Jergens because of the slow, buildable tan. I pleased to report the buildable formula is great.

I was able to apply it without the pressure for perfection because the results were lighter. As long as I didn’t make the same “mistakes” repeatedly my skin developed a natural looking tan. It’s important to exfoliate every shower to prevent dark spots on old skin but that also means the tan comes off and you have to apply after every shower to keep up your color.

The lotion itself has a nice feel and it rubs in smoothly and easily. The smell was similar to the tropical suntan lotions. As for the “firmer” skin claims. hogwash! Not true. Use this as a self tanner and don’t fall for magical claims of firmer skin.

I bought this lotion from a Walgreens in my area. A little overpriced for the size of the bottle, if I remember it was around $10-$12. I’m fairly pale to the point that in sunlight my skin will blind you and when I do tan I tan a light gold yellow that doesn’t last.

I went into this whole self- tanning thing with no prior experience in tanning other than oils and sunshine. I purchased the medium-dark lotion hoping it would make me dark but not be unnatural. After using it for three days I’ve begun to notice a change in my skin tone.

The smell isn’t unpleasant but will definitely take some getting used to. Most of my skin is a light golden that’s darkening the more I use it and is orange in places like my nails and toes so beware of that.

The bottle I purchased is specifically the wet lotion. I recommend getting a tanning mitt so your hands aren’t darker than the rest of your body and after your shower (with your skin still wet) apply nickel sized drops to your legs and arms.

A little goes a long way in this case. Follow the directions on the bottle and stop the usage for a few days once you reach a color you like. My only complaint is again, the orange stains on my nails and around the nail beds and my toes.

I read a review that said exfoliation helps so I will try that. Hopefully this helps!.

Started using this stuff in fair to medium a week ago today. I live up north in Vermont and during the winter become completely translucent and was tired of looking at pale legs. I ended up getting one of each product at target because there was a sale bogo 25 percent off.

But I have only used this firming lotion the wet skin lotion and the face lotion with sp7 the results certainly pull more orange/yellow on me but I have to say the after picture is alot better than the before.

I am happy with the results for the cost of the products. I will say to avoid the face and neck at all costs unless you don’t wear makeup. Even the face moisturizer looked completely orange uneven and unnatural on me.

So I exfoliated and got rid of the color around my face and neck I’ll just use bronzer to make it look “natural” I would recommend this stuff especially if on a budget. Gets the job done and I like that one or two harsh exfoliating sessions will remove the color in case of a bad turnout.

I’m a big girl so I can’t say that the application process was easy I used the mitt. but I’m sure there are plenty of streaky areas luckily no one will be able to see 🙈. I’d give this stuff 9/10 they need to make a green based formula to even out those yellow/orange tones a bit.

But orange is better than white.

As a girl who needs to be about 3 shades darker than my natural skin tone at all times to be happy but also a huge stickler about sun filters and avoiding damage, I have spent my way through a small arsenal of UV-less tanning products (in addition to regular spray tans 2x per month).

Here’s my take: Pros: odor isn’t amazing, but better than most and it fades quickly. I’m pretty sensitive to smells can’t sleep in strongly scented products and I can apply this pretty close to bed time and not have a problem.

It blends well and is very easy to apply, in part because it’s super fluid (viscosity more like a serum than a lotion). It’s definitely a gradual but shows up. I keep a nice even 3 shades deeper using every other day.

In arm and leg baring season I usually keep a spray tan, one about every 10-12 days. This is the PERFECT compliment for that because it doesn’t affect the existing tan and it provides a nice base before you get sprayed and helps them last longer and the fading process between visits much more even and so much less noticeable and without any areas of stark contrast.

Cons: flip side of the very fluid texture, it can be a little tough to control and messy. I usually have a few stray drops on the floor to clean up after an application. The biggest downer, and what loses a star for me is it is ironically, very drying and provides no benefit as a moisturizer.

It’s difficult to avoid some drying from DHA but my legs get downright ashy (the tan making the dry skin a little more obvious) if I don’t alternate a “real” moisturizer in some days. On the whole though, probably the best gradual tan/spray tan maintenance product I’ve found and if then could work in some emollient to help the drying it would be pretty close to perfect.

This is the first time I have written a review on Sephora for a product, but I had to come here to rave about this Tan-Luxe self tanner. I am a pale girl with Irish skin who has been searching for years for a way to get a safe tan.

I tried Mystic Tan back in the day, plenty of different self tanning creams and, most recently, airbrush spray tans. I got tired of going on a vacation with a fresh spray tan, only to find it fading as soon as I got a massage or put any sort of oil-based product on my body.

Sunscreen lotion pools, seawater, and various body lotions and creams did the same thing. I always come home with LESS color than I had when I left for the trip. I was so sick of wasting money on spray tans that faded almost immediately, so I decided to try some new self tanners.

I was drawn to this one because it sounded like it was actually moisturizing, which I also need badly as I’m very dry. I have been thrilled with this product and will never go back to spray tanning, since I can achieve the same color with this lotion and not require an additional moisturizer on top of it.

After most showers, I squeeze some of this on a tanning mitt (also critical, I’ve learned) and rub it quickly over my legs, arms, shoulders, and neck. I believe it actually has some oil in it(?) so it is a bit drippy but it also feels hydrating.

It dries fast, I throw clothes on and am on my way. No big prep time or dry time required. The color is great. And I can then reapply whenever I want to boost it or just maintain. There smell is no different from other lotions as it develops, but I don’t mind it at all.

It’s not super fruity or flowery to cover up the tanner smell. If you don’t have time to mess around with tanning prep and spray tan annoyances, this is the lotion for you. I’m so glad I finally found it after all this time!.

First off, when this tan goes well, it’s really nice. The colour is lovely, I have very fair skin and one use gives me a natural medium glow that I really like. It develops quickly, in 2 hours (not very “gradual” at all but whatever) so it’s perfect if you don’t have 4/6 hours to sit and tan or if you don’t want to do it overnight.

On that note, don’t use this product overnight. You need to RUN to the bath quicker than you can say tan luxe if you see it developing patchy anywhere. Because when this product is patchy, it’s extremely bad news for you.

Like, “don’t leave the house until youve sloughed your body in every chemical under the sun to get it off” bad. Under any circumstances, do NOT follow the vague instructions on the bottle or use this like other gradual tans.

You can’t just slap this on with your hands like a moisturiser. I learned this the hard way. Moisturise beforehand. Everywhere. If you have any dry patches, don’t even bother. Use a glove or mitt to apply it and be extremely wary of your hands and feet or you’ll look like you just cleaned up badly after a murder.

Use a thick hand cream and do not let it touch your nails under any circumstances, unless you want to spend hours picking off the top layer of skin on your fingertips with nail clippers. Don’t ask. If it goes wrong, trying to remove this tan is a full time job.

I’m going to finish the bottle, because it was expensive and I’d like to give it a better shot. But I don’t think I’ll buy this again. It’s nice, when it goes right, but It’s more high effort than a regular self tan, which is kind of the opposite of what a gradual tan should be.

I’d avoid unless you have a body-care routine that a marble statue would envy. The influencers really got me with this one.

I love this temporary bronzer that washes off in shower and does not have sparkles in it that looks horrendous on most skin and Very unatural. Not too dark or light and helps blend in the discoloration so many self tanners leave.

Not much of a scent. Not thick like some. A shame more companies keep throwing sparkles in their products. This was one of a few that didnt.

The Med/Dark used to be a perfect color – absolutely no orange, just rich brown. It was so not orange that it was ideal for toning self tanner to the perfect shade. It was also darker. I’m light skinned and this new version is barely dark enough to give a tanned look.

It’s chalky and the color of an obviously fake (light) tan. Disappointing, especially since products this color are a dime a dozen. I have warm toned skin (and orange clothing is very flattering on me) but my tan looks nothing like this and I don’t know anyone whose does.

BTW, the original formula, back when there was only 1 shade, was also far better than this. It had a beautiful subtle shimmer, was darker and less orange. I don’t even like shimmer, but it had just enough to keep the color from looking flat and chalky.

Gave the glow of healthy skin.

I love this product, I brought it on a whim as the product I usually buy was out of stock. I always check the product is kind to animals and recycle friendly which this product is. The product takes a bit to rub in then leaves the skin feeling super hydrated and nourished.

It has a subtle scent that is not overpowering. Once the tan starts to develop almost immediately you can see the tan even after only one or two applications. It does have a slight tan smell once it develops however not enough to stop me from buying it again.

My skin feels smooth, nourished, healthy and the tan is a beutiful colour. After about 5 days use I then mixed a little of it into my daily moisturiser as it really does work enough to not need to use every day.

I also like how easy the tube is to handle compared to the brand I usually purchase. I wont be going back to the other brand.

Its all about how you apply. Now you’re going see other reviews about streakiness, this is NOT going to happen if you apply with a mit like every other self tanner. Also you dont have to worry about the dry areas on your ankles, armpits, elbows, and knees, you get a VERY even blend with this tanner.

What i love about this product is that i can apply and achieve a light tan in 3 hours. Its not like the other gradual tans where you get a suddle hint after two days, its almost immediate. Also i dont have to go through a weekly removal ritual like i do with the mouse, when i get my shade i desire i stop and moisturize with a different lotion.

When it fades, i reapply, and thats that!! I 100% recommend!!.

I don’t typically write reviews, but thought this would help someone who is trying to decide which self tanner to buy. This was my first time using this product, and while the color is good and it darkened my skin fairly quickly – I keep finding sizable patches and streaks.

I exfoliated 24 hours prior, showered before application and used a mitt. Even had a friend apply it to my back and hard to reach places. It looks amazing where it is even, but very obvious where it’s not.

I did a second application the next day and it did help a little bit. Not totally sure how the patches and streaks happened, as we covered every inch of my skin very carefully and I let it dry for about an hour before sitting or wearing clothing.

It does have the self-tanner smell, as does every self-tanner product I’ve ever used. The smell didn’t bother me though. Bottom line is – not sure if I would use this product again, might try another brand (and mousse) next time I need to use self-tanner.

I was initially a bit hesitant to buy a mousse because my skin is fairly light, and the gradual seemed like the better option. If I could go back in time I would have bought the mousse from the start – as it’s likely easier to catch mistakes.

This is my second purchase. My first bottle lasted well over a year I was using it on my face and neck only. It smells lovely with no digestive biscuit after smell that other tanning products seem to have.

It looks a natural, I mix mine with some natural moisturiser, although it works great on it’s own too. Just easier to blend in my face and neck when mixed with a natural face cream. It is great that it is organic and I will always stick with this product.

Bought my 2nd bottle of this one. I’ve been using it as tan drops into my face moisturiser because it is dark, that way i can control how much tan i want. Best thing with this tan is it is all natural and even if i wake up a bit streaky on my face, it is extremely easily fixed and once i wash my face off my tan is all nice and even.

No one has ever known i use fake tan. No spots or any other side effects. Other fake tans can be tricky because once it sticks to your skin that’s it. impossible to remove the mess, this one if you will keep scrubbing will just come off and will leave a slight gold, no patchiness or anything.

This is the first time I am trying this product. It definitely has a scent, but it’s not overpowering like many self-tan products. I can’t quite put my finger on what the scent is but it smells somehow familiar.

The consistency isn’t what I was expecting at all. I am used to the self-tan creams like Green People or Nature’s Gate. I have used spray self-tans before too, but this is more like a liquid, which was odd because you need to work it into your skin quite quickly before it runs all over the place or before it dries.

Had I known this, I probably wouldn’t have bought it, however I am happy to see that it’s certified organic and the scent isn’t too overpowering.

This is a self-tanning product for the face. It is a very light lotion with no fragrance. It isn’t just a tanning product though – Bondi Sands have put in some nice ingredients like cocoa butter, shea butter, hyaluronic acid, pure Vitamin C, Vitamin E.

As you are supposed to not use other skincare when you’re using this product, it is good that they have also packed in some actives. Application-wise, it didn’t irritate my skin and felt hydrating. I love that it is fragrance-free.

It does apply clear on the skin so you need to keep track of where you’ve been and ensure that you’ve covered your face area avoiding the eyes. I was very surprised that this product worked overnight.

I was expecting any visible difference to take multiple applications but no. It imparts a very natural colour that isn’t orangey. My only issue is that I have to drop my usual PM routine when I’m using this.

But then again it works so quickly that you can alternate.

I am super fair. Almost pink. I put a dab on my foot and didn’t see anything at all. Then a few weeks later I got bummed about my shins being so pale and I did the whole exfoliate and shave thing already.

I didn’t use any lotion and went out doing errands for about 2 hours. Got back and used this like I would a normal body lotion only on my legs/tops of feet lightly and shoulders and tops of arms excluding my wrist and fingers.

There is NO SMELL which is so great as I am super sensitive. About 3 hours later I put a bit more only on shins and thighs. Got up this AM and it looks like I have a bit of a tan plus no weird streaks.

I used rubber gloves like the ones used to prepare food and it is really quick drying so I worked fast. Easiest self tanner I ever used. I put a red dress on so I can’t tell if there is any marks but as I said it drys real fast.

I see alot of people who have what I would call medium skin tone and this wouldn’t work at all. Get the dark shades and use form fitting rubber gloves.

So I self tan consistently throughout the year, I’ve used every St. Tropez formulation & every Loving Tan formulation as well & those are my favorites. I like to keep my tan up during the week with lotion for my arms & face just to keep a nice base going.

I got this bc it had good reviews & I liked the fact that it had no scent. I’m giving it 3 stars bc it just wasn’t anywhere near dark enough for me. I’m light/med skintone but I can get pretty tan in the summertime naturally, so using dark/ultra dark formulas is what I go for.

I wasn’t expecting this to be ultra dark but I thought it might be an ok daily tanner for base upkeep. Nope. I was bummed bc it truly has zero scent, applies beautifully & hydrates so well. If you are fairer skinned & want a more subtle tan, or to build up a tan to your liking then def go for it.

But please please please make this formula in a darker version!!!!.

A friends of mine showed up at the gym that I hadn’t seen for a few weeks. He looked like he’d been basking in the sun for a month! Since he is completely against tanning – beds or otherwise – and this was mid fall and still cool out, I assumed he’d caved for some reason and had gone back to a tanning salon.

When he told me that he’d been using this, I had to try it for myself. I’ve been using it ever since! It never has the orange-y look that most of the self tanning products have. Since it is tinted, it’s fairly easy to see where you need more or have already applied.

I’ve found it best to apply soon after your shower and to exfoliate whenever you’re planning to apply. Best time for me is right before bed because it does take at least 3 hours to dry. I’ve found that if you don’t allow it to dry completely (and sometimes, even if you do), it may get some on your bed sheets, but it has NEVER stained mine.

It has always come out with the next wash. I’ve never had to use any stain remover and washed my bedding as I would normally. This has become a staple for me!! As with any self tanning product, it may take a time or two to get your technique perfected, but it will be well worth the effort!!.

Iv been a model and beauty influencer for years and I often receive products from companies but rarely ever end up using them. But I must say I was super impressed with the sunlabs brand. I had a bikini photo shoot and had uneven tan lines from the summer I applied the lotion on my white areas with the mitt and it blended in perfectly! You literally could see no difference between my natural tan an the fake tan! Since then it’s been my go to sunless tanner.

Even my photographers comment on how my fake tan is not orange like a lot of other models they shoot. It last me about a week with just one application and it smells great I strongly recommend this product.

I love this Sunless tanning lotion so much! When deciding to purchase this product i was a bit hesitant as other sunless tanning lotions that i’ve tried in the past have not worked well and made my skin have a orange tone and appear streaky.

however, this product by Sun Laboratories is excellent! it left my skin smooth and even without it appearing that i got a fake tan! Although one important thing to note when using it is to use the included mitt to apply the lotion.

The mitt is what enabled me to get the tanner to apply evenly to my skin and made it look wonderful. Will definitely buy again!.

It does the job for 2 days, and then it’s gone. It has a more orange-y tinge – which i noticed because it really differs from the Eco Sonya products I’d tried before and loved (which are more golden-brown).

Unfortunately, it really does get patchy around the knees, even if you’re trying to be careful. I got 3 whole-body applications from it, which I’m not sure is good or not? But for the length of time it stays on for, I wouldn’t spend that much money again.

Also, you can see how you have to really get the same consistent spread across your arms or you get streaks – which i found WAY easier to avoid with EcoSonya. The video shows what remains after 5 days – and the faint patches that linger even after a good scrub.

Personally, I’d have much preferred to have spent that money on a gradual self tanner instead.

I was amazed to see my pale winter skin go from white to a nice subtle tan. I applied it twice in one day and was satisfied enough with the shade. The lotion smells very nice and feels like good quality.

No streaks or mess. Still waiting to see how long it lasts but was too amazed to not post now. I did have to apply an extra coat on the neck plus very light areas like the underside of the arm. Bear in mind that you’ll need to apply it this way in order to achieve an even tan especially if your skin has various tones ( upper arm gets more sun exposure than underneath so naturally the skin tone varies in this way).

Have been pleasantly surprised by this self tanning lotion. I have very fair skin and this gives a nice, realistic colour that’s not too orange. It is buildable but one application does give a decent result and coverage.

Nice and moisturising too, I use a mitt to apply. Does smell a bit I’m afraid.

I have used Bondi Sands light to medium tanning lotion for the first time this year. I am allergic to uv A and uv B rays and have been diagnosed with PMLE- or Polymorphic Light Eruption and I break out in hives mainly across the back of my neck and upper arms as soon as the sun and uv hits me.

I’ve decided to use this lotion to give my skin a darker pigment to try to block the sun and uv from touching my skin. So far it seems to be working for me and I only have a light rash this time around.

I’m extremely happy with this lotion as it’s the first lotion I’ve found that doesn’t make me itchy on top of my allergy which I sometimes get when I break out with my allergy. So far so good and I am one happy lady.

At first I hated this product. It would give me orange patches, and it was hard to achieve a smooth application even after exfoliating. However I found out I was applying it all wrong! For this product you MUST apply a moisturiser on before applying this tanner.

I use the Kora moisturiser. Not only does the colour turn up to be a lot smoother but it doesn’t grab into any dry patches resulting in such a beautiful bronzed glow!.

I originally didn’t like this product as much, which I was surprised about as my experience has shown I adore all Kora products. It ended up I was using it incorrectly, which is typical me and tanning lol.

After speaking to a Kora consultant and making sure I was exfoliating, it is now one moisturiser I use at least every two days. Lovely barely there scent. Reminds me of sugar. Thanks for your assistance team.

I really like the gradual self tanner. It’s goes on easily, has a natural color, smells good, and is very forgiving. Regular self tanner, you have one chance to get it right and if it’s wrong you’re gonna be really sorry.

With the gradual option you can correct missed spots over a few days and slight mistakes aren’t noticeable. Definitely the best option for a busy mom like me!.
