Best Self Mill Cards Mtg (2024 Updated)

Another classically fun and funny “Un” set. Pick two colors and shuffle them together. Your friend picks two colors from the remaining 3 and shuffles them together, and off you go. Keep in mind these are not booster packs to use in your regular, sanctioned decks (hence the name “unsanctioned”).

These are for casual play or in an “un” tournament with cards from Unstable, Unhinged and/or Unglued. For a wacky, fun time you can add them to your Commander deck or Cube. Plus, the 10 full art lands are beautiful.

The box says Magic the Gathering, so I was expecting to be able to add 150 cards to my MTG collection. But all non-land cards are not tournament legal. No where on the box does it say that, not on the page description.

There are printing errors on some of the cards that make them completely unusable. There’s also a card that requires you to roll a d20, but no d20 is included. And now that it’s open, I can’t return it.

You could buy all five new planeswalker decks for the same price. Or a real board game. Worthless.

This is a great fun game for two people, simple to learn and different every time depending on the deck choices. I would recommend it to anyone.

Ok so if you are new to magic get this deck it is very good and powerful. If u like to have a lot of mana good cards and strong people this is your deck the planes walker in the deck is amazing

Solid preconstructed token deck. Needs upgrades but fair Mana base and good start.

Its a perfect box case for TCG and CCG cards. With its colorful art work? So far its the best new box I have compared to other recent bundle boxes. The D20 dice also amazing.

I love this set soooo much! I pulled a bunch of great cards! I love buying from this place, whenever I preorder with them I always get my stuff either in the day of or just the day after so I never feel like I’m missing out!.

If you’re just getting into commander these decks are perfect as they are pretty well built and have some really decent cards. Sure, they’re not the most powerful decks out there, but they can definitley hold their own.

Also there are plenty of articles and YT videos on how to upgrade them if you did want to make them more competative. But straight out of the box they are more than playable and you’ll have a great time doing it.

What a great set of commanders. This set is a great set to get with your friends and have some fun from open box. Collector store has the goods for all games and tcg products. Items shipped quickly and in great condition.

Great value for the 5 decks and an amazing set of commanders. Order was delivered within the perfect amount of time.

Everything was exactly what it should be though the dice aren’t very secure. They were all over the inside of the box when I opened it. The commander box for Kaaila (of course the deck that’s worth the most) had a tear mark where I’m assuming the dice kept rolling over during the delivery.

Everything else was in perfect condition. It definitely bothers me that they didn’t make the dice spots deeper to prevent something like this but it was still worth grabbing the decks. My only complaint comes down to a small ascetic that really has very little impact on the overall product.

Great product bringing back older commanders. All 4 are great with variety and upgrade ability. Product comes with foil commanders, deck name labeled boxes, and 100-life counters. Would buy similar versions of this product.

This is a great value for new players getting into Commander, or veteran players looking to expand their collection. While the decks are not balanced head to head straight out of the box, they are a lot of fun to play and are easily improved upon by swapping out some cards.

I preordered it and received it in the mail the day after it released.

My partner and I scooped 2 bundles to play Sealed together. I wish they included 12 draft packs for two full rounds of sealed instead of 10, but we still enjoyed this set immensely – we just remixed up two boosters a piece for our second showdown.

This set would also be very fun to draft. The power level of the rares and mythics is quite high, but tribal synergies at common and uncommon rarities are the heart.

I copped the MH2 bundle when it went on sale for a day, back in early November. The bundle shipped as always in great packaging and arrived flawless! I am looking forward to ripping the box open as my Christmas present.

While most boxes are $40, THIS set is more expensive based on the content of the set. The individiual pack costs is higher than current sets, thus the higher price. You can generally find it a bit cheaper, but Target does price match.

Still a good value.

I am a newbie to the world of Magic: The Gathering. i purchased this deck builder’s toolkit in-store. i recieved a Pact of Negation card from the Masterpiece Series: Amonkhet Invocations. This card is worth $60.

Talk about beginners luck :-).

Absolutely live the new themes, there are for factions and incredible new deck possibilities. The artwork is stunning and the Ixalan theme is very original.

It’s A Good Starting Point For Deck Building And To Get 125 cards And 100 lands…Plus 4 booster packs. And The Price Is GOOD.

I love the crack. The crack of fresh packs that is haha. I bought a couple of these boxes with my allowance recently and everything was going swell until I started opening packs. Turns out, I was cracking so loud and so hard, that my wife couldn’t sleep! We already sleep in separate bedrooms, so I must have been cracking the sound barrier for her to hear me.

I just get so excited. I put on my favorite Youtubers and crack along with them (pausing frequently to compare pulls). I reached out to customer support to see if maybe Wizards was using some new loud wrappers or super crackly glue.

No luck. Guess I’m just a loud little pack cracker. They were super nice though, 1 rep (male) even made some great suggestions on how to rekindle things with the wifey. Hint: it did not involve cracking more packs at 2AM.

I’ll be saving up my GBP (good boy points) again for more cards from Game Nerdz for sure. Hopefully I can someday shake this addiction though. haha just joshin’, I’ll never be able to quit.

I was pulled into the box opening hype on other streaming services, so since this was on a lot of their lists, I made it onto mine as well. I feel like I got some decent pills from this box! Came close to paying for itself (considering all the videos were a year or older, for prices to stay that high for some of the cards was pretty outstanding), the booster box that is.

Not entirely sure if I see why its priced so much higher, must still be too much of a greenhorn at MTG. I hope to make another purchase of this one soon though and give it another shot!.

I pre-ordered this at $230. That price is still on the low end of current market prices. My boys and I have opened 26 of 30 packs. We have some nice pulls: Arid Mesa Retro, Misty Rainforest, Cabal Coffers, Dauthi Voidwalker and a couple Ignoble Hierarchs.

Several other cards in the $2 and above. In the end, I think that the single card value will exceed the individual card price, but that was not really the point for us. My boys just want cool cards, and they are also thrilled with Thrasta, Dakkon, Tourach and Asmorana.

A fun set to open and to play!.

3-Colored Commander decks are challenging but fun to work with. These decks offer a nice range in play styles and a great starting point to reconstruct into a far more effective deck. I have enjoyed the evolution deck as I find it a fun mechanic to work with, though the others are not bad as well.

I’m newer to magic and have been buying some precon decks to play with friends. I like this one though I feel it needs a couple small changes to make it more consistent. For instance, the commander requires creatures to be in the graveyard, as such it needs better ways to do that but also to bring some back to your hand or the battlefield so that you don’t get stuck.

I preferred using the partner commanders as they allowed for more card draw and voltron though that might be my playstyle.

I found this deck to not be as expected, it has some impressive cards inside and they compliment the overall flavour well. But. I feel the deck needs adjusting. The idea is solid and with a few tweaks this deck will be savage.

Do not be put off by it. A couple of tweaks and it could be incredibly powerful. BLUE Red has always been a fun deck for Friday night magic, casual play.

It may be a past commander deck but by adding in some cards and switching out some lesser ones it turns out to be very well created with a unique concept. The ability to use enchantments to help win your duels have been very entertaining and versatile with its own meaning behind it.

Took out most of what didn’t flow with the enchantment theme and filled it in with cards I already had. Changed nearly 50% of the deck. Am very satisfied with the result. The 50% I took out will go great in other decks; therefore I would say that this is well worth the purchase.

MTG Commander 2016 products are a great way to get introduced into the multiplayer Commander/EDH format in Magic the Gathering. Each commander deck is good to play with straight out of the box, although players can choose to further customise their decks later on if they choose to do so, but this isn’t necessary.

The differing commander decks each offers relatively unique play experiences. For instance, the ‘Invent Superiority’ deck is themed at allowing players to quickly amass an deadly army of artifact creature tokens to overwhelm their opponents, whereas ‘Stalwart Unity’ grants players who enjoy a more defensive/political approach in this multiplayer setting, by offering benefits and incentives to other players, while quietly securing their own long-term goals towards winning.

This set brought me back from a 21 year hiatus when I quit when around 4th edition/mirage. These sets are will balanced and I already tweak them with some of my older cards for casual play. Great edition to my arcade room for company to play when others are doing something else.

Highly recommended if you are coming back and just want to play and not pay insane money for cardboard.

Wizards out does themselves each year with these commander sets. Each deck feels unique and are well balanced and a lot of fun straight out of the box. Commander is an awesome format and shouldn’t be missed by those who enjoy the game.

So this was a great deal for these decks. You know what you are getting in the pre-constructed decks. The Jace card alone makes up the value in that box or at least half of it. We ended up pulling a Liliana from one of the booster packs in the box so that was great too.

Love it. Both commanders was delivered, the container for the cards surprisingly didnt have any damage or scratches.

Bought this as a present for our grandson for his birthday – the only thing he requested from us. The box contains separate packs of cards, which he excitedly opened and showed us the “special” cards he was finding in each.

The outer box is colorful and sturdy.

This product is pretty good if you’re just starting out. I paid 25 for it and trust me it’s worth it. I don’t recommend if you’re gonna stop playing in 2 days but if you’re gonna stick with it and play then buy this product!.

You get exactly what you expect from a draft booster with these. I enjoy the Greek myth theming of the Theros sets. We don’t have a game store close enough to call local, so I mostly just play sealed with my brother.

These were perfect for that.

Theros Beyond Death set added some fun content to the MTG card base. Lots of excellent choices. Great expansion. Worth the buy.

I knew that Prerelease kits were a bit of a gamble, with pretty high variance, but I thought I’d try 12 of them at the discounted rate. Unfortunately, I opened only a total of 6 mythics, overall (average would have been 9), and I didn’t get a single prerelease promo mythic among the 12 (average would have been about 1.

5). The good news is that the 6 mythics I did open included a Uro and a Heliod, so the quality was there for the mythics, but not the quantity.

For anyone that’s new looking to but MTG for yourself or a friend/family. Please save your money and do not buy this inflated package, you can easily go to your local game store and buy 3 MH2 draft boosters for $4-6 a piece.

Absolutely fantastic set. An absolute blast to draft. Tons of great commander goodies, too. Why can’t all magic sets me this good?

Bought for drafting with my sons. They said this was their favorite set to draft. Some of the packs included a card with drafting archetypes for each of the color pairs to help you out.

Draft Boosters are an excellent way playing magic in a draft/sealed/limited format of Magic while also adding a lot of cool and new range of cards to your collection that can be used for your other decks in other Magic formats, including Commander.

In particular Zendikar Rising offers some very cool game mechanics to play with in a limited format setting including Kicker, Landfall, DMFCs, and the Party Mechanic. A lot of Zendikar Rising cards can be used for Commander which is particularly appealing if you also play Commander as well.

In terms of gameplay for limited format, draft boosters are still the way to go, you can still have so much fun opening draft boosters and the limited gameplay of Zendikar Rising has been very fun to play with.

Constructing decks is very fun with this set because of the dual model cards that can also be used as lands which makes deck creating and assembling very fun in Limited. Plus with the purchase of the Draft Booster Box, you also get a Box Topper non foil Expedition land which has a great border and can be very valuable depending on which one you open! I do highly recommend the product for new, experienced and returning players of Magic!.

Great booster box, and shipped very fast in a super protective box. Hubby and I really enjoyed drafting with this packs, and also we got some really fun pulls from this particular box.

I’m coming from the perspective of a casual player who doesn’t collect cards or play tournaments or try to profit off re-sale – I just occasionally play a game with the spouse. There are a couple of reasons this gets 4 instead of 5 stars, mostly having to do with the fact that this isn’t a good introduction to the game: 1.

The quick start guide is more of a glossary. It doesn’t go over the rules hardly at all, and if you don’t know how to play the game then the glossary of terms isn’t useful and if you do know how to play the game then you really don’t need a glossary.

2. The cards are probably a little complicated for new players. But especially without a basic rule book. A new person isn’t going to pick up these cards and know what it all means. 3. It doesn’t come with the basics you need to play the game.

Two spin-down d20s would be a minimum, but if you don’t already have what you need to play the game you won’t get it in this set. I guess as far as I can figure if you are looking to get into Arena, this is a good way to get a couple starter decks, although I’m pretty sure you get several started decks just for signing up for Arena.

So I’m not really sure who this is meant to appeal to? I liked it because I am done building decks and just want to buy pre-made ones, and I am experienced. If you’re like me, you may enjoy this. If not at least consider what I said above.

The value is pretty good compared to what it would normally cost to get these same cards, but they used to release cheaper sets that had more in them like spindown/health dice so that was a little disappointing.

Overall, still a decent deal though. You get two, dual-color decks to play with and a code to go online and use those cards in Arena. There are two deck boxes as well. You also get a quick-start guide that is more of a glossary of terms than anything else.

I am more of a physical card sort of person, but my oldest son likes that he can play MTG Arena on his phone. These decks seem to be just what I would have expected from Spellslinger-Type decks, but with the added bonus that you get a code that two people can use in MTGA in order to unlock the cards in the deck.

For the moment, the cards are in standard, though it is hard to say which ones might survive rotation. For someone who is relatively new to Arena, this code could be a nice boost, in that way that you get these cards to use in other decks you construct as well.

It is enough cards in one go that for this kind of money having physical decks you can use to help someone learn the game as well as a bump to your card collection for those in the early stages of Arena is a great deal.

If you only want one thing or the other, then it may not be worth going after.

I ordered a starter set for my nephews to start the adventure into this game that i have loved and the service and package was first class. I could not recommend highly enough and i will certainly be using again.
