This was shipped from Wagners. very disappointed, lots of flakes and brown in color, birds are not loving it. Previous 50 pound bag I received from Walgreens (it was not shipped from Wagners) and unfortunately I don’t remember the brand, but it was in a red bag), the quality was wonderful.
the birds loved it. The safflower was bright white and very clean. If I was Walmart, I would go with the substitute supplier.
At this time of year having safflower seeds is extremely important because the rose breasted Grosbeaks passes through our area and is very rare in this area. If you have safflower seeds you get to enjoy them for a few weeks.

We have a lot of patches in our grass from our dogs and I didnt want to spend too much money on Grass seed to fill it with. So when I saw this bag I was excited!! We spread out the grass two weeks ago and you should see how tall it is! Well worth it plus great price!!.
Even though it’s mostly annual seeds, the seeded area grows in normally and I haven’t had any bare spots the following spring. It’s usually 3″ tall after the first week and holds up well to traffic. I’ve been using this for three years for bare spots caused by the dogs or traffic and it works great.

I wanted to cover parts of my septic area with a sturdy ground cover. Unfortunately, my hoses do not reach so far and most of the grass did not come up due to lack of water. I let Mother Nature do her work, and where it took, the grass did it’s job.

I really love this seed. It came up very nicely. It looks full and lush. However it does seem to need a lot of water,ours is in full sun for a good part of the day though. We are using it for erosion control.
I also planted another small patch in a shady are just as a trial and it is not doing as well.
