20 Best Sectional Sofa Under $500 (2023 Updated)

Though the boxes are quite large, none of the individual pieces are terribly cumbersome. I was able to leave the boxes on the porch and bring the pieces in one by one to put together by myself. The assembly was pretty quick and easy; it didn’t take me long at all.

It is, as others have said, quite firm, but makes for good sitting and will likely relax in time. I’m not sure of the longevity of the couch – it seems solid structurally, but the wood may not do well in our super humid summers.

I bought this on sale and, overall, I feel like it is worth the sale price and am pleased with the purchase. It fit our tiny living room and lounges both my husband and I comfortably.

I am very pleased with the quality of this sofa. Nice fabric. Excellent support. The best feature is reversible cusion seats and back cusions. I would recommend. The size is perfect for my small living room.

It’s like an extra-long loveseat but a short sofa. Perfect for me.

I’ve had this couch for 9 months. It started to rip apart at the seams within 3 months and is now cushions are no longer holding their shape. It is a very comfortable sofa but the build quality is less than disappointing.

If you don’t have that much money it’s a good starter, just wish it had more cushion but overall a good sectional and easy to put together

This is one of the most uncomfortable couches I’ve ever had! I thought it would be soft. It was very firm when I putt it together so. I assumed I had to break it in. Not only has it not softened up but now u can feel all the springs as ur sitting throughout the entire sectional.

I’ve only had it 1 year! Very disappointed. Do. Not buy!.

Not comfortable at all. I read the reviews and thought I would take a chance on it and it isn’t worth the money. If you are looking for a cheaper option, this one is not it!!! Looks nice though and is just as described otherwise.

I Think The Raphael Faux Leather Sectional is a great buy it brings a very unique style to your living room space and the red in color is very classy I love the way it sets the tone in different pieces of furniture that I have in my living room and it gives you a nice comfortable feeling when want to just relax and enjoy a movie I love and I think other consumers would too.

Don’t hesitate, it’ a great sofa for the price. I easily moved the sofa into the room by myself, and it only took me 15 minutes to assamble. Installation was quite easy for me. All the cushions are vacuum sealed, they expand very quickly, but about a day until they were 100%.

And this couch is great for a small space like an apartment now it becomes my favorite place for naps. So far, everything is very good. If you have a small space and want something comfortable and easy to install.

I love this couch! I spent months going back and forth with my boyfriend trying to find a couch we both liked. I finally came across this couch online and was surprised he said he liked it, so I ordered it immediately.

the couch shipped really fast, within a week. I live on the third floor so I paid to have the couch delivered up to my unit, assembled for me, and the packaging disposed of – totally worth the extra money.

we’ve had the couch for a few months now and we still love it so much. it’s super cute and SOOO COMFY! I fall asleep within minutes of snuggling up on this couch with my favorite blanket. it’s lower to the ground than most couches, but we don’t mind.

we spend more time than I’d like to admit on the couch, but with that being said, it’s held up really nice. I do flip the cushions and chaise every few weeks to avoid it looking worn too quickly, but it’s very light and easy to switch around.

again, all in all, this couch is perfect for us! highly recommend!.

I had been on the hunt for the perfect sofa for my new house and must have looked at hundreds of options before finally purchasing this Sectional. I could not be happier with the sofa or purchasing experience and it is perfect in our living room! The shipping was quick, delivery was seamless, and the sofa is of phenomenal quality for the price point.

This was my first purchase from Modholic but it definitely will not be my last!.

Soft & squishy. This is the sofa equivalent of a stuffed toy. Suitable for snuggling, napping, and generally lounging around. My 6’1″ husband found it a little too close to the ground, but he did like the deep seat and soft feel.

I am a foot shorter than the hubs, so the low slung seat suited me perfectly.

I saw this sectional in the catalog at the furniture store, loved it! After it was delivered I grew to dislike it. The color isn’t actually grey, it’s more beige. The corner piece is huge and wouldn’t fit through our door so we had to take out the front window to get it into the house/room.

Right away I noticed the cushions hang over the front of the couch. They will not push back enough to be flush in the front. Within the first few days I realized the cushions don’t stay in place at all! While sitting on them they will scoot forward and hang 3-4” off the couch.

I absolutely hate that! It is semi comfortable. We have owned this sectional for a year now, it has been durable and I love the sleeper sofa feature. Overall, I would not recommend this sectional. I cannot stand that the cushions hangover the front and will not stay in place.

I purchased this couch due to its size and color. Although it is a nice couch visually, it is not very comfortable. The cushions are slighter firmer than expected from previous reviews. Hopefully with time, the cushion will soften.

The side pillows included are slighter bigger than expected and do not look great. They also take away from space on the couch; I will probably replace with smaller pillows. The back cushions are removable which atleast make it easy to adjust your back preferences.

I’ll start off by saying the couch itself is cute and pretty comfortable in a firm way. Although the delivery experience was terrible (literally the worst service I’ve ever had), I was happy with the couch until now.

I have had it less than 1 year and this week a leg randomly collapsed. I’m petite (100#) so it’s not like I’m putting this couch through a lot. Now that the leg is off it’s clear the internal material is some cheap particle board stuff, and the big screw holding the leg in seems to have just widened the hole over time.

The smaller screw was completely bent. Keep in mind both of these screws are pieces that were placed by the manufacturer. This is a leg at the end of the chase section, so it’s not even an area that sees a lot of weight.

After the prolonged delivery time, repeatedly moved and incorrect delivery dates with poor communication, and now a couch that doesn’t even last a year I would warn everyone to stay away from this company.

It’s definitely not worth the money. I would bet the positive reviews are all people who recently got their furniture and haven’t put it through the test of time.

Multiple reasons to avoid this couch and website in general. 1. The couch took a month to get delivered. 2. The only label on the couch doesn’t match the description on the website. Down feather filling cannot be so firm and uncomfortable.

You would just end up getting cheap polyester filling while paying for down feather. It is a sketchy affair as to how this article got approved by customs after inspection while it had a different label, planning to get that inspected as well.

3. One of the legs doesn’t even reach the ground, pretty sure the couch will loose shape in a while. I would highly recommending giving this website a pass. They charge luxury prices for below average products.

The look of the couch is nice however, the fabric is terrible! It looks dirty immediately and is impossible to get anything out. All marks and stains just soak in the fabric. Just normal lounging left discoloration quickly.

I hated the way it looked within the first month. I tried to return the sofa within the return period but Poly&Bark said they could not accept it unless it was in perfect new condition without any discoloration (even though it is a WHITE couch) and we just sat on it.

I do not recommend buying unless you are fine with a constantly dirty looking sofa.

I researched a lot before making this purchase. It was our biggest purchase other than my car and our home. I had an issue when we first got it as the pilling was (and still is) ridiculous. We’ve now had it for a little over a year and it’s the most uncomfortable couch I’ve ever sat on.

The couch inserts are deformed in several areas despite constantly trying to fluff them up. We are so disappointed as this was a big investment for us and now family time isn’t even enjoyable in our living room anymore.

The couch itself is beautiful and the perfect size for us, I just wish the quality had been better for the price.

I purchased this sofa and thought I had the warranty, when I found out I didn’t and called 3 mos. after purchase I was told there was nothing they would do. The material pills easily and started to show wear in the first few weeks, the cushions do not stay in place and are all misshapen after minimal use.

I had no choice but to keep the sofa and after 1 year am throwing it away. It is such a waste and I’m incredibly disappointed in the quality and customer service.

The color is great. It’s hard to tell for sure when looking at the pictures online so was taking a bit of a chance on a turquoise couch and it turned out to be perfect. Delivery was fast – Crate and Barrel has an 8 month wait on orders.

Delivery was great. A lot of boxes and packing materials but product itself was in great shape. Easy assembly. I’m happy with purchase.

I had no issues with this couch. At first, I tried to follow the video for assembly and that didn’t work out at all so I followed the written instructions which were much easier to understand. I can see where everyone had an issue with the left arm but I realized that during assembly, the arm and the base had to be held a certain way to prevent the arm from not aligning.

I agree there should be a better method to secure that part as it can become unsecured easily. The larger base must go into the arm instead of the other way around which does seem a bit odd. Besides that, the rest of the couch was easy to assemble.

The cushions are shrink wrapped which leads to wrinkles. I patted them hard with the stick included and most of the wrinkles came out. I’ll go back with a small steamer to get the rest out. Also, dark gray is more of a bluish hue, like a blue jean color instead of a gray color.

I had to resume watching the video to distinguish which pillows were for the bottom and which ones were for the back. Overall, I’m pleased with this purchase. It’s very comfortable and fits a small space nicely! The seller was very easy to communicate with, attentive and handled my questions quickly with attention to detail and care.

Just know that you’re getting a blue gray instead of a dark gray. The two pieces were shipped together and came at the same time so there were no issues with shipping.

For the price, we were pleased with this Blu Dot sofa. The fabric is nice, and the piece is sturdy. It is not the most high end, but again, for the price we feel it is worth it.

This sofa looks beautiful. Clean lines, sturdy and well made. However, the cushions are not soft and the fabric is rough to the touch. I’ve had this couch for 2 mos, and the back cushions are wrinkling and starting to lose their form.

Lumens did a great job with delivery and customer service.

Looks kinda cheap…when you sit on it sounds like there’s plastic in the stuffing….small size is fine, disappointed with the quail and comfort

This small sectional was purchased to occupy our home office space. It is the most used couch right now, since we work from home. It matches perfectly with our second set in our family room (Cottage chic), is is exactly the same color, fabric and even throw pillows.

As I said on my review on the other couch, the style is so versatile that can match almost any decor. We chose this model because of style and convenience. It is a pull out couch as well, so it becomes a queen size sleeper sofa.

And my most favorite feature is the storage compartment. Genius. It is pretty comfy, but again, the fabric is a little scratchy, not so soft for a cloth couch. But, it might also be that is just too new.

Now to the negative portion: granted, this is NOT our first Bob’s furniture. So we were aware that this set won’t last forever. I wouldn’t say it was the cheapest set we found. Quality wise seems ok from the outside, is stylish, fabric is taut and in place, throw pillows are nice and firm.

But since its the most used couch, you can feel the dent on the cushion that’s been seated on the most. And it’s only been a month since we got it. So, do I recommend it? Yes. Go for it. It is very pretty, super convenient and versatile.

Do I expect to last long? I give it a couple of years. Maybe 3-4 years.

I love this couch! It is exactly what I was looking for. It’s deeper than my previous couch so it’s more comfortable and it can fit more people. The color is nice and neutral and really loving the fabric because you can’t see my pup’s fur.

The chaise, storage and sleeper option are ultimately what sold me on this couch. The price is comparable to other two seater + chaise sectionals but the storage and sleeper additions make this one worth it.

We purchase this along with the matching Cottage Chic Chaise. We are SO happy with this sectional. It is beautiful, elegant and yet extremely comfortable. I love that the chaise portion of it is actually lift up storage.

it was a happy surprise all the beautiful throw pillows that came with it. And lastly my favorite touch – the back cushions zip onto the back of the sofa portion so they don’t flop down or slide down when you sit/get up!.

Update 2 months later this couch is still comfy, but I had hoped the cushions would even out a bit. When you sit on it the part that extends underneath your feet is a bit higher up. Also when you sit in the middle you kind of sink in because it’s two separate cushions.

I love the couch but feel like I may wind up having to replace the couch because the cushions will be lopsided. I really love this sofa! It’s the perfect size for 2 maybe 3 ppl. Easy to assemble and the pillows are removable so you can rearrange or flip them over if you need to.

It’s super soft and comfy to sit on, I’m not sure what the filling is. The cushions are super thick but kinda lumpy Not sure how to describe it, there are some bulges in the seat cushions which I hope even out but don’t sink in.

Overall I like the sofa a lot and hope it holds up.

This was a really bad purchase! I wanted to love it. For the price, I NEEDED to love it. But only a few weeks after I purchased it, the seats started becoming so saggy that I could hardly get myself up from the sofa.

And, the smaller side has literally no support and was always at an incline. I had to purchase a rectangular foam piece to sit under the cushions to give it more support, but even that didn’t do it. Less than a year after the purchase, I sold it.

I couldn’t get a single person to buy it for more than 450 – because that’s what it looked like after only 10 months. Don’t buy this sofa.

So I have had this couch over a year now. And it survived the pandemic with lots of netflix watching on it. I personally love it. Especially for lounging and comfort. Young people also tend to absolutely love it and comment so.

My parents however do not at all because it is low to the ground and doesn’t provide much back support. I will say the cushions lose cushion. But again I did also use it through the pandemic albeit while still working full time outside of home.
