20 Best Seasonings For Grilled Shrimp (2023 Updated)

This is hands down the BEST seafood boil Ive ever used. I used the cajun seasoning for years, but when it came time to boil some crawfish, shrimp, and snow crab legs. I knew I had to try this boil! So perfect, so flavorful, and I will be using it again!.

Well, I like this seasoning. I put it in my crab boiled, I wish yall had the one with the butter already in it. Just a subjection….

Personally, I have not found pre-mixed ingredients that can top this. I’ve been buying it for years and will continue to purchase the 64 oz. pouch.

Makes salmon so easy and without high heat. I sprinkle on salmon, add to skillet with small amount of coconut or olive oil over med to med-low heat (depending on quality of pan), and turn 2/3 way through cooking time.

I cover after turning, but not necessary. Squeeze with lemon and enjoy. Works on grill if you have a fish grate, but clean up is so easy after stove top method and salmon is delicious. I also use it on other kinds of fish, but my family loves salmon.

I saw this used in a recipe I was trying out. I purchased it thinking it was going to just be ok. I really enjoyed it. The taste isn’t overpowering. I’m going to try it on more dishes.

This stuff works great for making a fantastic tofu dish. Obviously great on fish too, but I cannot personally speak to that. It is probably very high in sodium so not for anyone trying to watch that.

It is soo tasty though. Just treat the tofu as if it were fish and cook the same. It helps if you press it for a few hours first to prevent excess water from messing up your dish.

This is the worst flavoring I have ever tried! I’ll admit I not a cakunbflavor person but my husband and children love cajun flavors but this product right here no one liked! It’s got a horrible smell, and horrible after taste that lingers around.

I would NOT recommend this. We did it with just shrimp then tried to making tacos, tried with white rice then with jambalaya. I really tried to make the best of it in every form. and I couldn’t even doctor it up do not try this product I was sick all night and couldn’t get rid of the lingering taste.

Waste of money and 3 lbs of shrimp.

This was another product I received in my first Cajun Crate box. I made some shrimp with it and they were so delicious. I had to buy more packets because the seasoning is so good I actually think it would be good for a blackened steak.

I will buy this stuff again and again.

Havent tried this batch yet but if its the same as a couple of years ago its definitely good. My market seems to have discontinued it a while ago and restaurant with similar fare, Killer Shrimp, has closed.

Absolutely Delicious! Just enough spice to make your mouth water. Hard to find at local supermarkets.

delicious. perfect scampi. I added broccoli florets and a small package of flaked crab . I also used egg noodles and was generous with the lemon juice and white wine for a delicious sauce. 5 stars

This was not same product I was use to buying so I guess they changed the recipe. Did not compare to original version. Was not a fan of the newer versions. Just did not taste as good.

Love this. Easy Especially if u buy cooked and peeled shrimp. The taste is really yummy. Fyi, Get some linguini noodles. After yout done cooking the shrimp in this packet of seasoning, Get the shrimp out set aside and add the seasoned juices to the drained noodles.

So theres flavor throughout out. Stir in shrimp or put the shrimp on top of the noodles on your plate.

This is the best seasoning that you put on Salmon. If you love Salmon like I do then buy this you will never buy any other kind. Its not spicy but has a rich taste. I love how it smells when cooking.

You dont even have to put lemon juice or anything else on the Salmon when you have this. This is a MUST HAVE for cooking Salmon.

The only problem with this product is that it contains too much Black Pepper. Chefs, Cooks and Corporations never take into consideration of making their seasonings with or without Black Pepper. I hope this message educates MAGIC Salmon Seasoning!!!!.

It has a little more sugar than I like, but I acoid sugar if I can, So I’m not necessarily the best critic, I still use it for fish and salmon in particular, it’s good to avoid using more than is needed.

I’m going to give this review an extra star because what I’m about to say has a lot to do with the cooking method used (it is meant for boil and I pressure cooked mine). The ingredients suggest adding a lemon quartered to the mix, I did and I feel it gave a bitter taste due to the rind mixed with the seeds used in the mixture of Zatarains.

If I ever use this again, I will try it with boil rather than PC and maybe add lemon juice AFTER the food has been cooked, only adding this seasoning and lemon to the seafood – NOT the veggies. I tried to make a Texas boil in my ninja foodi cooker; adding this product to a little seasoned salt, butter, lemon, crab legs, shrimp, potatoes, a few slices of fresh jalapeno, onion, garlic, mushrooms, corn and carrots, +1 C water (next time I’d use more water as it suggests).

I pressure cooked it for about 4 mins with a natural release for 2 mins, then quick release. It looked delicious and directions say give it a stir, I did and the package broke apart in the food. I scooped most of it out but quite a few seeds lingered behind.

It tasted fine on the crab and gave the corn a spicy kick, but the other bits of meat and veggies really absorbed the flavor and it was a little overbearing. The seeds were sticking to our carrots, corn and potatoes, I had to kind of force myself to eat it.

It was very strong with the shrimp, also. My husband ate some of it as leftovers today but felt it wasted $30+ worth of seafood. It was honestly a little bitter between the lemon and coriander seeds, too much citrus and I didn’t even use a whole lemon.

I’m assuming it’s great just with seafood, boiled as mentioned. But terrible in a pressure cooker, way too much flavor and not in a good way. I’m more of a fan of other seasonings out there. It’s affordable and easy to use especially considering it is meant for a one time use, convenient for travel.

The flavor is amazing I do love the convenience too. Just add the bag and that’s great. ! However $7. 99 is very expensive for one bag. I thought it would be more bags was confused with the label. I ordered 6 bags on one box before and it was only $12 now it’s $8.

Also the bag busted out and there’s contents spilled out. Other than that love love love this for seafood boil.

This is my favorite rub! It adds so much flavor and doesn’t taste salty like so many others. I add it to my salmon that I grill on a cedar plank! It’s sooo good.

One of my ABSOLUTE favorite spices. Sweet and smokey with good pepper finishes. Great texture. Comes with a lot in the jar, so it lasts a while!

I’ve been using this for close to two years now. Tonight I cut some sweet potatoes into about 3/4 inch dice, chunked up a large sweet onion. some carrots, some celery. Tossed that all into a bowl, drizzled a little olive oil on it, then about 2 tsp of kosher salt and w TBS of the PSPSR.

Into a 450 F oven for about 25 minutes, stir, and back into the oven for another 20 minutes. What is interesting is that in all the time I’ve been using it on meat, poultry, fish, home made potato chips, etc, I had never noticed the heat it has.

Don’t let that generic label fool ya, this seasoning is da bomb y’all! What I like is that they don’t weigh it down with salt, so ya can add more or less season to ya preference, and add as much or less salt you want.

Full flavor blackened seasoning right here. I lived quite some time in Louisiana and I know the good from the bad. This is the good. Tony Chachere’s and Zataran, mmmmm not so much, but can work in a pinch if ya know how to church those up.

I just recently started using this spice blend and love it! I usually make my own Cajun rub but this blackened seasoning is way better. It is a sweet heat and very flavorful! My family loves it on fish.

Here is my favorite way: Mix it with melted butter, black pepper and lemon juice; toss your chicken wings in it and it’s the best Cajun lemon pepper wings ever!.

This is a delicious seasoning I used in my Mac and cheese and some shrimp I made to go with it. I highly recommend this seasoning to get some delicious flavor in your seafood or dishes in general.

I use a combination of Zat, Bayou Blend, and swamp fire for my seasoning. But, if I could only choose one, 100% for sure it’s Zatarains. I love adding it to gumbo, bisques, jambalaya, scrambled eggs, etc.

I have high hope in this as it has really great ratings. It is a huge bottle of powder. It is super salty. It literally taste like salt with a little bit spiciness. As it is really salty, you can only add a little bit of this, so you can barely taste other ingredients.

This is not what i expected. I don’t need a head size bottle of salt. I don’t know how to deal with this huge bottle.

This stuff is amazing! Much better than a regular Lemon Pepper. It’s hard to find, which is too bad, but worth the effort!!

I love this spice..it goes with all meats and is good on vegetables as well! I hardly use salt at all. To bad they don’t carry this in our Walmart any more.

I loove this seasoning. It especially compliments fish cos of the hint of lemon. I’ve honestly used this on all sorts, from eggs to pan fried vegetables and stews. A little goes a long way. The price tag though when compared to other branded seasoning is a little steep.

I bought both this and the Upper Bay Crab Mix, and honestly, i expected them to be similar. but while the crab mix is close to the competitor’s product, this takes it to the next level. Definitely way bolder than i anticipated, the first few times i used it, i put way too much on.

A little goes a long way with this. A favorite with this so far is a cod fillet with butter and bay blend on it, straight to the broiler until it’s cooked through. I wont buy the name brand again.

This seafood blend is excellent for a shrimp or crab boil, or as a shake for fish fillets going to the grill pan or charcoal rack. It has a nice blend of seafood-friendly spices with a bit more “zest” than a common competitor.

The large size makes this kitchen essential very economical for frequent users.

I am from Baltimore, and I know seafood seasoning. This is not even close to the popular brand. It is lacking celery seed, coriander, and paprika just to start. You get a hit of flavor at the beginning, followed by just salt.

It’s cheap, but there’s a reason.

I received a package of McCormick Grill Mates Garlic, Herb & Wine Marinade mix as part of a BzzAgent campaign to try and give my honest review. I decided to make Ranch sheet pan pork chops but substituted this marinade for the ranch.

It was a definite hit! These pan pork chops made with this marinade mix was so delicious! The garlic, herb and wine added such a wonderful aroma and very savory. We loved it so much that I want to try it with other recipes too.

I really enjoy grilling and the one thing that helps knock out that charred charcoal flavor is a good marinade. I was really interested in trying Grill Mates® Garlic, Herb & Wine Marinade Mix. I followed the directions.

One packet wasn’t a whole lot, so it didn’t come out all that great on an entire family’s worth of meat for dinner. I definitely would recommend more than one packet if you cook a lot at once. That being said, I could taste it but I couldn’t really tell what the flavors were.

I like to be able to taste the different herbs and sauces that I put on when I grill. Otherwise, it just feels like a waste. So, it’s very mild. It might be great for someone, just not my family.

I came home and didn’t have any idea what I was going to do, but I have been wanting to try the McCormick Garlic, Herb & Wine marinade mix. I put a frozen chicken breast in the InstantPot with the Garlic, Herb & Wine marinade mix over it and made some jasmine rice on the side.

When I sat down and tried it I was blown away by how amazing the flavors were. They were absolutely perfect! It was so good I started immediately wanting to buy some more of this marinade and experiment with different meats, especially shrimp next time.

I will definitely let others know, especially my family and co-workers foodies. It really was so nummy. I am hooked.

I love spicy food. So this seasoning is perfect for that kick to a dish. It’s great on chicken, and fish. Don’t use to much the flavors are strong in a good way. Very flavorful!

Use on chicken wings in the air fryer. Also on fish and frozen shrimp. Tastes great!

I’m not a huge fan of chicken but I will eat a shoe if its been marinated in this! It is one of my favorite seasonings to use during grilling seasoning. The flavor is nice and bold. Not too bitter or overwhelming.

It is perfect for chicken breasts and thighs. Theybstay moist and no sauce is needed to dip into for flavor. This has it!!.

Used this to marinate our split chicken breasts before grilling this Memorial Day and even my pickiest eater loved it!! Definitely a go-to from now on. (Prepared marinade by following package directions and placed 4 breasts split into a ziplock to coat evenly.

The name alone called out to me so I had to try it and I was not disappointed. The marinade is super easy to prepare. I set some aside and marinaded the chicken in the rest. I pan grilled the chicken and the smells were making me drool.

I made a monitor glaze with the marinade I set aside along with the pan juices I added some brown sugar, dark rum, I thickened it up and added some mint. The whole family was blown away with the flavours, chicken was so tasty and tender.

I wish I would have purchased a lot of packages rather than my one.

OMG I can’t say enough good about this. If you marinade chicken in this for at least 3-4 hours or just forget it as long as you want actually, you won’t regret it. It’s so juicy and tastebud overload in a good way! This literally is my favorite.

I have about 8 packs in the cabinet currently.

This stuff right here is bomb. What you do is follow directions. Makes salad and Chop it put some Olive Garden Italian dressing. The best cheap meal ever. You can use use any kind of chicken. This product does not disappoint.
