You will need one packet per 3lbs of meat. Throw a roast, seasoning packet (plus water, per instructions on packet) and a whole jar of mild banana peppers into a crockpot. Cook on low 6 hours. The roast should be tender and falling apart.

Shred the meat (I pull it apart with a couple forks) and put it back in the crock pot for another 30-60 minutes.

Very good! I’ve used this on beef and now pork chops. Great on both. I put pork chops in a baking dish with this on top and added some chicken broth in the bottom. Then I covered with foil and slow cooked turning once.

Turned out amazing.

Thought I’d give the Veterans the benefit of the doubt but was blown away (no pun intended) by the absoluertely delicious and well seasoned taste of the Gunpowder Steak and Brisket seasoning. It was awesome.

I have learned to use it on other meats for the absolutely best results from my grill. I will be getting more and some of the other rubs and seasonings you have. Thanks.

I absolutely love the Gunpowder seasoning! I typically put it on last when making a tri tip. It gives it a crispy crust and adds good flavor. So damn good!

I’m so sorry that I even bought this packet! The first ingredient listed, and therefore the highest amount, is Brown Sugar. Now, I love brown sugar in cookies and cakes, but in meatloaf, the idea makes me nauseous.

Unfortunately, I used some in my meatloaf and now I dread eating it! This packet would have been so good if it weren’t full of sugar! I don’t know why you would want to ruin it this way. As you can tell, it’s a total hands down from me! Sorry I had to even give one star.

This a great spice pack for making meatloaf. enough spice to create the perfect flavor. A few times I’ve changed up the normal recipe slightly just to give it a little extra kick. I prepare the meatloaf as normal then I use a wooded utensil spoon to make a few holes in the meatloaf; I drizzle BBQ sauce in the holes and then spread the top of the meatloaf with a small amount of BBQ sauce and bake as directed.

Another time I prepped the meatloaf as directed on the packet; then I divided the meat mixture in half. I spread the half evenly in the pan then added a small layer of shredded cheddar cheese and French’s fried onions (any favorite ingredient should work).

Place the other half of the mixture on top of the cheese and fried onions and spread evenly. Bake as directed on packet. Once it’s baked and you cut into the loaf; the center has a delicious surprise!.

This is the BEST prime rib rub ever and I have tried several. I rub it down with the seasoning 3 days in advance to cooking it and rub it down everyday. So delicious, the outside gets a nice crusty and flavorful taste.

I tried this as a shortcut rather than using my usual beef stew seasonings. it was really salty, but i more am questioning the addition of the corn and wheat gluten and xantham gum. They are completely unnecessary.

those, combined with the xantham gum also messed up the texture for refrigerated leftovers. I’m not planning to use this again. please, just give us the spice mix and let us handle the salt and thickeners ourselves.

McCormick Beef Stew mix is what I use when making my homemade vegetable soup that some may call “Hamburger” vegetable soup. I add this seasoning to the base of my recipe, prior to adding any of the vegetables or meat.

You can use as directed the package, if you want. I do sometimes but not when making this soup. Adding 1 or 2 packages to my starter (vegetable) juice and letting that simmer for awhile together, gives me the flavor and texture I desire.

It has just the right ingredients and flavor that I need to make my soup even tastes better. The corn starch helps to thicken the vegetable juices to a great thickness. The added amount of salt, onion, paprika, black pepper and thyme mixed with tomatoes give it the YUMMIEST flavor.

I think the most important part is to make sure your flour and brown your meat and let it simmer for at least 45 minutes. So tender! Then add fresh chopped veggies and simmer for an additional 30 minutes with the meat.

I add a can of tomatoes or corn or green beans the last 10 mins.

I really like this pot roast seaoning. I did not give it five stars because I think a whole packet would be too much for one time use. I have used this –about a third of a packet– and found it perfect.

Irecently made some beef/barley soup and used some of this as an accent seasoning on the beef before browning it and it was EXCELLENT! Highly recommend for you to try it and adjust it to your taste.

I usually come up with my own seasoning blend for roasts and each time might be a little different so I thought I’d give this a try since I LOVE everything I get from savory spice. I bought the packet a little while ago and just tried.

It smelled amazing, but I couldn’t feel my tongue after eating and my lips burned. Even my spice loving husband (I grow ghost peppers for him) said he couldn’t believe how spicy it was. I also thought that the packet was lacking salt so after the initial spice shock on the exterior, the food was bland inside.

I couldn’t finish my meal and we had to throw away the rest. Hopefully a new version will have a little more salt and a lot less pepper.

Alot of other reviews have said the same thing and Savory Spice said they had adjusted. But someone at Savory Spice should make this again and adjust the spices. I LOVE heat and so does my husband. Sriracha and Sweet Garlic Chili are put on almost everything in our house.

But this was terrible. My husband said he almost choked when he tested it. And we wound up throwing it out. I think it could be very good if the amount of pepper was adjusted. Savory Spice please fix.

I have been looking for this for years. I used to buy it locally but the business I got mine from stopped selling retail and I could not find it anywhere. This is the best spice mix going for my money.

I use it on everything from steak to baked potatoes to chicken salad. You name it: If you can’t put chocolate sauce on it, put this on it instead.

I love this seasoning on everything! It really brings out the flavor in meat and is amazing on fried potatoes. Don’t bother with the shaker size, buy the 5# bag but make sure you keep it air tight. A little sorry on the high price.

Put this on a shoulder roast and put in the oven in a roasting bag for 12 hours at 200 deg. with 1 cup of water. Then to shred take hand mixer 1 beater ONLY and it shreds perfectly. Put juice in meat (Mixing bowl after you shred) Corn tortillas, onions and cilantro.

This is great seasoning. You can use it on just about anything. There is a wonderful mix of spices and I’ve just about quit using salt and pepper when cooking just Chef Merito it’s all you need.

I was never more than a salt and pepper person, when it came to steak. This rub has it all when it comes to flavor. The garlic and buttery flavor is really good. Steaks, burgers, chicken this rub is delicious and versatile.

I had very high hopes that this was the wonderful Buttery Prime Rib rub that they discontinued before the pandemic, but sadly it is not the same despite a similar name. This rub still provided good flavor, but resembles more of an English prime rib rub than the buttery prime rib rub I was hoping for.
