20 Best Seasoning For Red Snapper (2023 Updated)

The original “Slap Ya Mama” spice mix is my favorite! It’s versatile, and I love using it to bring smoky flavor and a touch of heat to a wide variety of meat and vegetable dishes. When my local grocery store stopped carrying it, I was delighted to find it on Walmart.

I was intrigued to see they had different formulations, a Spicy version and one described as White Pepper. I can’t wait to try them out! Will definitely buy again!!.

This particular blend of “cajun” spice is unique and not overpoweringly hot. I use this spice on everything I cook, be it scrambled eggs, fish, meat, or even steamed vegies. Its a staple “go to” in my house and in both my kid’s houses.

The versatility and the flavor, but should come with a warning because it’s addictive. Don’t start using it because you won’t be able to stop. Just forget about buying salt and pepper, this is all you need.

Eggs and hashbrowns for breakfast are snappy. On a salad, in tuna and mayo, as seasoning. Its good on almost everything, its great for grilled steak and chicken, amazing on shrimp and very tasty when added to Alfredo sauce to make a Cajun Alfredo, its also amazing on broccoli and asparagus.

Im getting ready to make jambalaya and it will be in that. Just leave it on your table. Its that good.

Makes salmon so easy and without high heat. I sprinkle on salmon, add to skillet with small amount of coconut or olive oil over med to med-low heat (depending on quality of pan), and turn 2/3 way through cooking time.

I cover after turning, but not necessary. Squeeze with lemon and enjoy. Works on grill if you have a fish grate, but clean up is so easy after stove top method and salmon is delicious. I also use it on other kinds of fish, but my family loves salmon.

I saw this used in a recipe I was trying out. I purchased it thinking it was going to just be ok. I really enjoyed it. The taste isn’t overpowering. I’m going to try it on more dishes.

This stuff works great for making a fantastic tofu dish. Obviously great on fish too, but I cannot personally speak to that. It is probably very high in sodium so not for anyone trying to watch that.

It is soo tasty though. Just treat the tofu as if it were fish and cook the same. It helps if you press it for a few hours first to prevent excess water from messing up your dish.

My diet needs to be as salt free as possible and this spice has really helped. I have tried other salt substitutes and nothing comes close to enhancing flavor like this product.

Hard to find in the small retail size, this semi club pack (50% of the club size) works when you need flavor without added salt. If you’re creative, you’ll find many ways to season you food with it. One tasty way is to add it to buttered noodles or spaghetti by itself or with cheese.

You can also sprinkle it over lightly oiled tortillas that you bake at 325F for about 10 minutes to make a chip like snack. Can’t wait to try it with other things too.

We’ve had this famous local restaurant and loved their cajun shrimps. We tried recreating it at home using this seasoning and my oh my, it was exactly the same taste. This is the best cajun seasoning ever.

This is a great seasoning. I’ve used it for just about everything from fish to chicken to turkey. It’s also terrific for when BBQ and when steaming veggies. It gives everything a nice flavor and smell from the kitchen will get your guests running into your kitchen asking what you are cooking.

Nice blend of spices with a kick! Add to bread crumbs to coat chicken and great for deep-fried fish.

My mother had to go to the hospital for heart problems. Now on a no salt diet , they gave this seasoning to here there , She loves it. She looked everywhere for it in stores couldn’t find it. I told her I would check on line.

I’ve been using this for years! I absolutely love it!! Chicken noodle soup just isn’t the same without it! Friends of mine have even started using it. You can only find it online tho that I know of.

The best that ever existed!! Seriously I put in soup, sauce, meat, everything and anything that seasoning goes on. I keep joking saying I need to bring this seasoning with me in store, because food tastes so bland without it.

This is a great seasoning blend. We primarily use this on the bags of frozen French fries that we bake in the oven. The key is to sprinkle this in towards the end of the baking time or else it burns.

You could also toss finished fries in this with a little oil or cooking spray to help it stick. Not quite as good as the endless fries at Red Robin, but it’ll do!.

I was delighted to see Red Robin’s signature seasoning available for purchase online. I love using this on my fries and dipping them in a little ranch. Yum! So glad I can now enjoy this seasoning at home!.

Let’s be honest, we can’t go to Red Robin’s all the time, but those fries—especially with the seasoning—are to die for! I’m so glad they released this seasoning. My wife and I try to keep it special and only use this seasoning when we have burgers and make fries, otherwise we’d get bored with it, but we want this season to always be special to us.

We love the Allthingsbbq’s YouTube channel and had to try a recipe that had this spice. Once it arrived we went ahead and used it on the recipe we watched and it was as tasty as it looked when we watched Chef Tom make it.

We have done this in the past with different seasonings and recipes and the all have become pantry favorites.

I have to say, pre-made rubs and sauces are not usually my thing, however, as I Q and cook a lot I realized making your own can cost a small fortune. That is why I decided to try the rubs from Cattleman’s Grill, and the Sweetwater Spice marinades and injections.

I must say, they are both top notch products. Chef Tom’s recommendations can be trusted as his collaboration with CG on Ranchero seasoning is beautiful. ATBBQ Strikes again with great recommendations, great products, and now, great collaborations.

My normal grilling/smoking does not include this seasoning. For it’s purpose as a way to augment south of the border flavors, it is an excellent rub! Very very good!

Trader Joe’s 21 seasoning salute blend is one of the best seasonings I’ve come across. It’s great for beginner cookers not sure which seasonings to use as you can just use this and get all you need. It has herbs, pepper, cumin, mustard, celery seed, onion and more in it and it will have your meats tasting great.

I use it on chicken and steak. I also put it on eggs and in my pastas. It is low in sodium and low cost. The holes in the pour spout are a bit large so you need to sprinkle lightly to avoid over pour.

I wish I could give it more stars. This blend is unmatchable, it is literally good on any meat it touches, great for flavoring soups and potatoes. I literally use a bottle a month , and it’s mostly myself and husband.

No sugar. No salt, all flavor. Amazing!!! Then there’s the price- $2. Yup, I typed that correctly. I will never be out of this blend in my kitchen for as long as they make it. I buy 5 bottles at a time ( I don’t get there very often) you don’t know it yet, but you NEED this in your cooking repertoire.

This seasoning is amazing. I put it on chicken alone and bake in the oven for a tasty dinner. I can stir fry some vegetables with it, or even add it to homemade spaghetti sauce in the crock pot. It’s a perfect seasoning that I always have a back up in case I run out.

Great tasting spice, but the bottle was literally 3/4 full instead of actually full. Don’t understand how that could happen unless it was a factory error. Hope the next one is actually full

Great spice. You can most likely find it at your local grocery store and it only costs a few dollars. I like to rub this on my salmon, though there are plenty of other uses for it as well. It’s not too spicy, but provides a great flavor.

I would definitely buy this again and recommend others to use it as a seasoning.

I had to order this spice from here because for some reason my local stores stopped selling it. It is a great spice and my boyfriend and I enjoy using it for different meals to spice things up. The only complaint I have is the container it comes in doesn’t allow very much to come out so you have to shake it hard and a lot to get your desired amount.

I have been using This seasoning on my prime rib roast for years I moved out of California and found that it cannot be found in any of my local grocery stores here in Missouri I was so excited when I found it online.

thoroughly coat your prime rib roast with the seasoning pan sear then bake the rest of the way omg delish.

I love this Cajun spice. It is great for fish, meats and even your favorite veggies. A little goes a long way and don’t underestimate as the more you add, the spicier the creation. I love to add flavor to my sweet potatoes with this Cajun seasoning and it is also great for adding to fried dishes or sautéed shrimp.

Makes a great rub and is excellent for overnight marinades!.

I only received one of the 6 from the pack of 6 . Very disappointed. I don’t know how to make a claim for a refund or completion of the order. Otherwise I love this seasoning.

Really good spices for any type of food. It’s not very spicy, but it adds spiciness in it’s own way. It worths it. It’s cheap and affordable. I would improve only size, because for big family it’s too small.

I would definitely buy it again and Recommend to everyone who is not allergic to any spices.

This is the best seasoning. I literally use this on anything I’m cooking right down to my dogs food. Nothing tastes right with out it. This is what I’ve used for many years and will forever use. I love the taste and I love garlic anyway but basic plain garlic is just that basic and plain.

My only negative is the pricing. Over the years it’s become a bit high and I use a lot of it so its not very cost friendly but so good and I will buy it no matter the price. Nothing I cook now tastes right w out this spice.

It also adds a hint of Green to plain old food and makes it even look and smell delicious. If u enjoy garlic give this a try u will love it. Grab the big one. Time for me to buy more.

My absolute favorite brand of garlic salt. It’s a must have staple in our home. I use this salt probably more than I use just regular salt. This makes awesome homemade garlic bread as well. It’s not the cheapest but also well worth the price.

We purchase about once a month or so and will continue to do so. A little bit does goes a long way.

I use garlic salt for almost everything! and I am very picky about my garlic salts! I have used this garlic salt most of my life and so did my Mom! The mothers of the world know best! and she did bless her heart! I have tried the cheaper ones and a few named brands garlic salts but I have always come back to this brand because IT IS THE BEST!! Walmart does not list it under poultry seasoning, so had to unlazy my finger and type. This isn’t just for poultry, it’s the mmm ingredient in my mother’s meatloaf recipe. Just have to have it in the house.

The ONLY true low sodium (NaCl) Cajun spice made! Love it! I’ve tried them all! I actually taste the spice flavors rather than salt. Note that other McCormick Cajun spices are not the same low sodium as this one (and don’t taste the same at all!) Very hard to find where I live so I always buy several when I find them (buying them on-line is too expensive and/or complicated).

McCormick Gourmet Cajun Seasoning is a good substitute for the now discontinued Southwestern Seasoning that I loved.

This Cajun seasoning is pretty good! I usually make my own Cajun seasoning blend at home, so I suppose I’m comparing this to that. Personally, I’d like a little more spice and Italian seasoning (dried herbs) but this is a great filler for when I don’t have any of my own blend.
