20 Best Seasoning For Collard Greens (2023 Updated)

Uncle Wileys seasonings are the best for greens, yams and beans. I only wish all the Walmart Locations would keep this product in stock at all times. It is very disappointing when you need these seasoning and they are not available.

Nonetheless, it is a very good product! I highly recommend their products. I haven’t tried Wileys seasonings for wings because Walmart doesn’t carry this particular product.

when you add the seasoning to your greens, it bring out the taste of the greens. I put the seasoning in the greens at the beginning so it will cook all the way through. It is very much worth the try.

This price is outrageous $21 for one pack of seasonings. I love the seasonings but who is going to pay $21 for this item when it’s $3 in the stores

Recently added this blend to my repertoire and wow I’m glad I did. It’s delicious! I use it on A LOT of my savory dishes – meats, eggs, vegetables. Has some salt but I usually use a little sea salt plus this adobo seasoning.

My husband recently got on an adobo kick for grilling red meat. We ran out of it a few weeks ago, and I ordered this from Vitacost. Meanwhile, I found an 8 oz bottle in our pantry of a popular brand.

When I got the Frontier Adobo I read the ingredients,esp. the sodium content, because I was so dehydrated the last time he seasoned meat with Adobo (which was the other brand). I was shocked to see, first of all, 7 good ingredients in the Frontier brand and in the other brand there is tricalcium phosphate, bitter orange FLAVOR and FD & C YELLOW NO.

5 & NO. 6. Second, there is 135 mg of sodium in the Frontier, compared to 340 mg in the other for a quarter of a tsp!!! Before writing this review I decided to smell each individually. UGH! The Frontier Adobo smells so good, and the other smells awful! I can’t believe that we ate that stuff! I was going to keep it on hand in case we ran out again before I could get more Frontier.

Now I think I am going to put it around the base of my bird feeder outside to deter the squirrels that have adapted to (and can’t be bothered by) cayenne.

This is a staple in my kitchen. As the main flavor base for standard Caribbean/Latin Chicken Pilau’s to seared fish or sautéed veggies in olive oil, this delivers quick and outstanding results. I’ll add fresh garlic to most dishes, but when time is tight, this little bottle is packed with enough punch to do the trick.

When female adult German roaches are ‟gravid,” or pregnant, they have an egg capsule, or ootheca, that can be seen protruding about one quarter-inch from the end of the abdomen.

I was a huge fan of Glory greens until I found a roach egg capsule in mine. To be as well known as they are, it sickens me to know that safety isn’t a part of this company’s character. I cater therefore I pay close attention to all the food I’m preparing.

I had just turned the burner off and went to taste the greens to see if additional seasoning was required. I noticed this small object that I know didn’t belong in the greens. I scooped it out and became very upset and disgusted.

What if I hadn’t noticed it and actually served that to a customer? I will ever use Glory greens again! I will inform everyone that I know so that this will not happen to anyone else. I feel sorry for the people that don’t pay attention for there’s no telling what all is in those greens.

And if my can had the egg capsule, the roach has to be somewhere. The fact that insects are embedded in those cans shows how poorly this company is and the fact that they shouldn’t even by able to operate.

oh boy, pot liquor is gooood on this one. not in the mood to clean greens and all the rest just order this Glory product. all the taste and quality you could ask for. this smoked turkey seasoned collards is mighty fine.

i ate the regular collards snd mustard greens for years, only just found this one. try all the Glory products they really are excellent. i might have served the butter beans at a family dinner and they disappeared.

Glory Seasoned Collard Greens comes as 12 in a package. I ordered them on 3/1/2019 and proceeded to prepare 2 cans for a meal. When I got down to the last 2 cans (12 in a package) they had this horrible smell.

The smell lingered all through the house. The next day when I opened the refrigerator. my whole refrigerator was stinking. I did not eat the remainder of the greens, threw the greens out. I cook greens every Sunday.

So when the next Sunday came I opened 2 more cans of collard greens and prepared then with additional onions (always) and when I was finished they were stinking again. After the 3rd time I decided to call the Glory Company.

It is not on the can so I used the internet to locate a phone number. I had to leave a message so I ask them to please call me so I could discuss their greens. I have not yet received a return call. My grandmother cooked greens, my mother cooked greens, my sister cooks greens and I have cooked greens for 50 years and I have never had greens stink so bad.

In my pantry I had already ordered another order of 12 and I took 2 out to cook and the smell was there also. I threw 10 cans in the trash. I recommend that you do not buy these greens. You will be so disappointed.

I found these at Grocery Outlet the other day for $. 99. I’m a huge bragg supporter since their company produces the most legitimate ACV and they also have many educational books about health and water.

This product is really good for seasoning and use as a lower sodium option. I’ve so far used it on my sourdough avocado toast and it gave it an amazing taste. It does have a weird ocean type of smell due to the sea kelp but if you can bypass that I’d recommend this.

We use this in everything in my house. Eggs, fish, chicken, soup, etc. I love it because it’s perfect for when you’re not sure how you want to season something. Just throw some of this on whatever you’re making along with your other staple spices and it’s guaranteed to come out good.

This is my new staple. Salt, pepper, onion and garlic powder, and 21 seasoning salute is going on EVERYTHING at the very least.

I bought this on a whim the other day at Trader Joe’s and this is really good! Tried it on rice and it really brought a lot of flavor. The best thing about it is that it’s sodium free so no worries about making anything too salty.

I’m looking forward to trying this in my sliders.

I purchased for my daughter because Adobe is her favorite go to. So I’m thinking all that sodium and I personally use the salt free, so I sent her a packet. She gave it 5 stars too.

This isn’t the first time I have purchased Adobo. I use it a lot but it’s especially good for slow cooking Venison and for Chicken Tortilla soup

Why such bad reviews guy? No I love this seasoning for almost everything! My stepmom showed it to me I never went back. It has just enough of a bit of everything good in it. Smells tastes amazing. It flavors everything so great.

I love love love how it has no salt in it so I can put as much as I want in it to give it some good flavor without over salting it like other salt added things. I can solely concentrate on the different herbs in here.

This is great for soups, pasta, pasta sauce, pizza, hamburger patties, turkey burgers, chicken, meats, anything.

organic! inexpensive! tasty! all that however does not mean that it will satisfy your craving for salt. I use this product (after grinding it in my blender) for seasoning meats and vegetables, and it does replace a certain quantity of salt in that respect.

Potassium chloride products are my choice (despite the barely noticeable aftertaste, and the expense) for a true salt substitute. if you have been recently placed on a salt-restricted diet, you MUST change your eating habits, and your attitude about salted food.

this seasoning blend is a nice transitional product, and much cheaper than mrs. dash and similar seasonings.

This product is excellent for everybody especially for my wife, she was introduced to it after heart surgery in the hospital for a low sodium diet. Now it is a staple in our house the entire family. It can be used on all food and vegetable.

i bought this thinking it was something different. when i tired it i was pleasantly surprised! it’s so good, it will go great on fish, chicken and beef. it’s not over powering, like some mixes, and the bottle is much larger than i expected.

This is now one of my favorites seasonings. I use it on chicken, fish and vegetables, however I have not tried it on meats yet. It has a lemon, peppery, garlic, onion flavor and I believe the tumeric in it gives it the yellow look it has.

So delicious! Just the right amount of spice.

BEST seasoning EVER! It’s really good on fried potatoes. dice em up and fry em in some EVOO (extra virgin olive oil) and add this as they cook. every time i flip the potatoes i add the season. Wgile the potatoes are cooking fry u up some hamburger meat then drain.

After potatoes are done add them to the meat and u have “meat n taters†and thats a meal all by itself! Enjoy!.

Ive been addicted to this seasoning. for a couple years now. Its getting hard to find. please dont buy this seasoning or you will think of it all day long. Put it on everything then fall in love with it.

I’m so glad I found this seasoning. This has been my go-to seasoning for all my cooking. It’s great on deviled eggs, steak, ribs, seasoning veggies for the grill, chili, and many others. I have tried this seasoning on many different things and haven’t found anything it hasn’t improved.

It really enhances the flavor of everything and compliments whatever you are putting it on.

I used this for many years before it was discontinued. My family loves my Potato Salad when I use this seasoning. I was happy to see it was available again. I hope it will be available for a long time.

Walmart doesn’t stock the seasoning mix that is our absolute favorite, so we ordered this one instead. It’s very nice! I would recommend this spice mix especially for poultry. It would also be nice sprinkled on steak or pork chops or hamburger, too.

I would put it on white fish, like cod or halibut, as well. If I was planning to roast some vegetables in the oven but didn’t want overpowering seasoning, I would reach for this Badia mix. This particular spice blend really has a “chicken/turkey” feel.

The exact spices it contains are not listed on the container, but the mix has a garlic/onion/salty/sage/slightly spicy sort of character. It’s not overpowering, though, in the spicy as in “hot” department.

Just a little kick, like the kind you get from black pepper and garlic. I figured it out. The flavor of this spice mix actually reminds me of the taste of chicken bouillon. That’s why it will be fantastic on chicken, or turkey, or chicken or turkey burgers.

I would absolutely douse a chicken inside and out prior to roasting with this Badia Complete Seasoning, and I am glad I have it, as Thanksgiving is coming, and it will be awesome for seasoning a turkey.

I love the flavor of this seasoning. I eat it on or add it to just about everything. I especially love the price. I bought 6 of them online b/c I couldn’t find them in several Walmart stores. If you run across it, buy it!.

First time I used it on my steak but not on anyone else’s. Right away I thought it tasted like it would be better on chicken and right after that I had gut wrenching nausea and couldn’t take another bite and my night was spent in bed feeling sick to my stomach.

I was willing to believe it was coincidence but a couple of weeks later I put it on some chicken for someone else and a few bites in they had gut pain and nausea and spent the night feeling sick to their stomach.

Big garlic fan. Garlic on everything, but ran out. This was the only thing available, so decided to give it a try. Got it home and peeled back the freshness seal and WOW! The garlic aroma is strong with this one.

Much more intense than average garlic powder. The garlic is course ground but not like in your average steak/montreal etc. with the hard crystals. It’s flaky to match the salt and pepper. It’s so good.

When I saw they have chili mix I was right on it. I only wish you could just get the garlic without the salt. I would pay $$ for that.

Tajin is very tasty on watermelon, papaya, mango. I haven’t eaten it on anything besides fruit. It’s not healthy but it gives a tasty spiciness to fruit. Besides the packs you can buy the bottle. I used the packs when I used to work in the office.

They were more convenient than carrying the full bottle. Delicious if you love the Mexican candy and spicy fruit.
