20 Best Seasoning For Chicken Quesadillas (2023 Updated)

The seasoning is delicious My complaint is regarding customer service. This was my second purchase. My first purchase was a combo of spices and jerky. Jerky was as dry as dust. When I mentioned this in my last review they offered to replace it but I never saw the replacement.

Don’t make offers that you have no intention of making good on. My advice is stick with the spices but avoid the jerky and don’t expect too much from customer service.

The new RED version has TOO MUCH chili powder, the original blend was perfect, the new blend taste and smells just like red hot chili powder, it over powers the remaining spices. The previous version had a foil freshness seal, the new one has nothing but a thin plastic collar for tamper resistance.

My summary is the original was fresh, flavorable and well preserved. The new version is too dang hot and not protected from anything but a nuisance shopper. So go ahead and mix up some granulated garlic,onion and some other herbs you like and spare yourself the grief.

The picture shows the new on top and the original on the bottom with lot numbers. If you like a blistering hot fajita, then get this mixture, because they don’t make the original any more. Sincerely, burnt tongue.

This is the best Mexican fajita mix I’ve ever used! When I ran out of this a couple of months ago, I tried various other brands sold in the grocery stores, including all the Mexican brands (such ad Old El Paso and others), but none provided the flavoring of the Badia Fajita Seasoning.

i mix about 3 table spoons with 8 ounces of beer, a couple ounces of vegetable oil and an ounce or two of lime juice. I use about half of it to marinate a pound of chicken for an hour or two, the rest on the vegetables when they start cooking in the pan.

Delicious! I’ve tried a few of the generic brand seasonings, but this is my favorite thus far. I only needed one packet for this entire skillet and the taste is great. Reasonable price compared to the others I’ve tried.

We have used Lawry’s Fajita seasoning for many years, always our go to! Nothing else compares to the amazing combination of spices! Over the last couple months it has become impossible to find at any store near me or even online! Any help appreciate! Only fajitas our kids will eat!!.

I have used this seasoning for years. It’s great on chicken, beef, shrimp, and pork. There is enough seasoning in the packet to season food for 7 people. It’s the best with bell pepper and onions that are caramelized.

Sometimes I only do veggies as well.

I love the taste of this seasoning. I generally like putting on baked or grilled chicken. I generously put it on before cooking and let it sit while I get the grill or stove ready. Amazing taste. I even added to my mashed potatoes for a new flavor.

It’s usually got some sort of sell and is decently priced. Try it!.

If you like the flavor of chipotle, add this to your list to pickup. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but whenever I tried it. Oh my! !! You can gauge your heat on this one and still get tremendous flavor.

It has a nice pepper flavoring that can be light to spicy. I have used this on chicken (roasted as well), fish, pork chops, garlic bread, succotash, peas, creole, soups and a few stews. It’s a real good performer in many areas.

I write this review after just opening my second jar, after going through the first one in about 6 weeks! I got the first bottle of McCormick Grill Mates Chipotle & Roasted Garlic Seasoning as a trial sample.

I wouldn’t have bought it otherwise and was skeptical at first because Chipotle is the food industry’s new buzzword; and isn’t fresh garlic always better than the powered? Upon getting my first jar, we got off to a dubious start.

The protective covering is a paper, Styrofoam, foil layer that’s glued so securely to the jar when trying to peel it off it actually broke a chip off the plastic bottle. I understand food safety but isn’t it a little overboard when the glue is stronger than the jar? Things got better quickly.

Licking my now covered with seasoning fingers, I discovered this stuff is super-charged sweet-flavored paprika. Forget what McCormick calls it, paprika is what this is. It’s a strong, bold paprika with a sweet taste to it.

It is not hot! I know some brands use the words bold and strong to describe the heat level, but I’m not. It’s as hot as chipotled green and red bell peppers – meaning not at all. It has that nice sweetness, along with a nice blending of other flavors without too much salt.

Although the jar recommends to use for grilling chicken, pork and shrimp I use it whenever a need for paprika is called for. Beef? Yes. Pork? Yes? Chicken? Yes. Rice, definitely. Soups and sauces, yup.

After a month or so, I used the jar and gladly bought a second one – although this time I used a knife to cut the protective coating around the inside of the rim. On reviews, they often ask, “would you recommend to friends?’ With this product, I have told others and my friends’ responses have been, “You were right.

” So, I recommend it to you, too.

I live alone and therefore do not need large portions of food. Over the years I have found that using this onion product is cheaper than trying to use fresh onions all the time. I have found that in salads you need to let it set awhile so the onions are not dry when you eat your salad.

In hot food by the time the food is done the onions are no longer dry. I have this on my shelf all the time.

I use Badia spices whenever possible, as they are of just as high a quality as McCormick or Adams or any other name brands, but much more affordable. I would have appreciated the ability to buy it in a smaller size, though, as we are just two people, and I don’t know that I will use it all before it expires, and would have liked to spend less on onion powder than what was charged for this.

If our local grocery weren’t such greedy tRumpers, we wouldn’t HAVE to resort to Wally World, but they’re the worst gougers in the state of Louisiana, and that’s saying something! Summer of 2020, they had GROUND CHUCK for NINE DOLLARS A POUND!!! Worst thieves this side of tRump.

This is one of the best seasonings around! I use this when cooking many meals! It adds such amazing flavor to my stews, chicken, soups, etc. ! Just the smell from the container makes me hungry and want to cook up another yummy dish! 😋 I like that they call it “complete” because it does have a nice variery of spices combined to complete what’s needed in lots of dishes that I make!.

This is a really great tasting mix. Really flavoursome and works perfectly with veg fajitas. Packet was enough to use 3 times so also used it in nachos in the black beans. The smoky bbq flavour really comes through.

Love Old El Paso products, they always deliver in taste and flavour. Definitely buying again. Bought as part of a promotion.

I prefer wholemeal tortillas so I sometimes swap them in. But this is an easy purchase for a tasty meal. I add extras (cheese, lettuce, guacamole, soured cream, jalepinos, peppers, onion, tinned pinto/Mexican beans or a side of spicy Mexican style vegetable rice) to bulk it out and it can easily serve 4 or more.

Very filling; I can’t eat more than 2. Love the taste and the whole ceremony of assembling fajitas. Children love them.

Great! I use these at least once a week. Either on leftover, shredded-up, (very) lightly pan-fried chicken from a Sunday roast, or on Quorn Chicken Pieces, both for fajitas. I also often use this on salmon fillets, that I then cook on our George Foreman Grill.

Additionally, these are great for BBQs, making chicken a bit more interesting (the skin tastes so good!), without being spicy, with guests often complementing the alternative flavour to the standard BBQ’d chicken.

I should also add, I’m a wimp for spice and these cause me no issues. If you’re sitting on the fence with this, I’d say go for it!.

I have used this to meal prep big batches of Purple Carrot’s Mediterranean Fried Rice, which is a fantastic dish made with rice, lentils and roasted and sautéed vegetables. I’ve gone through a lot of it fairly quickly because it is so delicious.

I’m not sure if they changed the recipe from a few years ago, but I don’t remember digging it as much before as I do now. This is a great spice for anyone who loves good food to have on hand, but if you are vegetarian and want to punch up your veggie dishes this is GREAT!!.

This seasoning can’t be beat! A unique blend of spices. We use it on seafood and in a middle eastern grilled cheese sandwich on pita with cheddar and feta cheese.

I heard about Za’ad from a native Persian cook on NPR. She said it was very favorite spice. I thought I’d try it. I put it on eggs, salads, avocados and really like it’s deepening earthy flavor. Im really enjoying it! Plus Savory spice got me the spice in just a few days and it has its date on it.

If you want that bland stuf, by anyone other than this. If you want a nice flavor with a twang to it that you can immediately smell how great it is, this is sadly the only one left I know of that has it.

The Greater Value seasoning used to taste EXACTLY like this but as of 12-07-16 they have decided to change the recipe and increase the amount per packet. So if you find yourself hating the new GV recipe in the 1.

25oz packets, just go ahead and buy this original which is what their old recipe used to imitate. I believe its the lime in the ingredients that makes this taste so amazing. Its a grey-ish powder and it turns dark brown once wet unlike the new GV powder which is now red.

Sadly this costs a bit more than the GV one by itself but it appears to have the same price when you buy it online. Until I find a cheaper option that tastes like this, I will not waste my time on anything else.

Seriously though, I believe its the lime in the ingredients that make this recipe what it is so that will be what i look for should I search for a new copy cat mix that is cheaper. The Greater Value brand took that out of the recipe and I absolutely hate the new recipe.

Its like opening a cola can but tasting tomato juice. Oh and this lovely McCormick brand on chicken fajitas tastes amazing with fresh lime juice, cilantro, serrano peppers, and extra sharp cheddar cheese.

Add sour cream and fold it into an extra large flour tortilla and you will be a happy camper.

As soon as I poured the seasoning into the pan, it reaked. couldn’t place the smell. it was so bad. oregano? Cumin? no idea but it smelled horrible. I didn’t cook the food in it long enough so the food was saved, but never again.

DELICIOUS! I have tried other cheaper Fajita seasoning mixes but McCormick is worth spending a little more, it really does make a difference. I love to make fajitas and tacos so I do buy these types of seasoning mixes and thought they were all the same but they definitely are not.

I could taste the difference in taste and quality right away. It really seasons the meat like at an authentic Mexican restaurant. My entire family was impressed. The mix is actually large enough to use twice.

The first time I opened the package I was pleasantly surprised by the great aroma of the spices. I knew we were off to a good start. I followed the package directions and enjoyed great skirt steak fajitas.

No need to marinate. The second time I used the remaining portion of the Fajitas seasoning mix I prepared a water and seasoning mix marinade and left the meat overnight. It was just as tasty with the difference that the meat was more tender probably due to the marinade.

I highly recommend this seasoning mix and offer the advice not to be cheap and buy the no frills competitors brand. I have tried the others and can give firm testimony that McCormick is a quality brand way above it’s competitors and just cents more than the others.

Even the packaging is attractive and easy to identify. The package was easy to open and thick which maintains product freshness. I figure I spend so much to purchase quality meat at a butcher, supermarket or club store, why should I then ruin my meat by not using the best ingredients in the meat preparation.

Really, think about it. This product gets 5 stars for the scent, spices, look and taste. I am looking forward to try other McCormick seasoning mixes.

I am so happy I have found these! I have always taken tablet versions instead because the gummies aren’t normally veggie. The only issue is they taste SO good, I have to stop myself having more than 1 or two! The only negative is that I would appreciate a clearer breakdown of the vitamins in there, but it’s only a minor thing because you can read the ingredients list and work it out.

We like to give our three sons gummies to ensure they are getting all their vitamins. The boys really like these, and they are great value.

I thought I was ordering a seasoning that was suppose to make food have a bacon flavoring. It didn’t taste like bacon at all. There was so much onion flakes in it, thats ALL it tasted like. onions. It was so disgusting I could not use it, and threw it in the garbage where it belonged! I had bought a seasoning from Deliciou Bacon Seasoning which is fantastic, and does make everything have a bacon flavor, but it was more expensive than this product, so I was looking for something more reasonable for my budget, but after this experience with Flavor God Seasoning.

I went out and bought 5 bottles of Deliciou Bacon Seasoning, because it is what it says it is, and does what it says it does. makes your food have a bacon flavor. I will never buy anything else!.

While I love having taco night, I’m not a huge fan of spicy food. This seasoning had a little kick to it. It’s not bad, but it is a bit much for me. What I do like about it is that it actually is low carb friendly.

You’d be surprised how many seasonings aren’t. I ended up buying a variety of seasonings. I liked most of them, but I probably wouldn’t buy taco Tuesday again (strictly because of the spice).

Extremely salty. E-Bay failed to specify how much salt there was for every 1/4 teaspoon: About 650 mgs. I didn’t see any ingredients photo. Practically all salt. How can you even sell such a thing? The only flavor you would taste would be salt.

And what about the effect on high blood pressure? Unsafe to use. Wish I could return this thing or get a refund. My take.
