Best Season Of Desperate Housewives (2024 Updated)

This last season of Desperate Housewives was hard to find in Region 1, but fortunately Walmart has all of them. It was also priced reasonable unlike some resellers at other websites that are asking high prices if it can even be found in Region 1.

From my experience the last season for any series is generally priced higher and often go out of print. The discs are packaged in individual slim cases and are single sided. This is important to me, as it probably is for others, because it prevents damaging the discs.

I was afraid that since many re-releases are packaged so poorly this one would suffer the same cheap packaging. Desperate Housewives closes out the plots, but sort of leaves a new one open which hints perhaps there was an intended ninth season.

Like other seasons there are the usual extras.

I was so happy to find season 8 of Desperate Housewives in English which finally completed my collection. I’m pretty sure if you’re buying season 8 that you’re already a fan of the show and I don’t have to tell you how good it is.

Wisteria Lane will be missed.

I bought this DVD for my wife. After purchasing a TV and a DVD recorder from Best Buy, my wife started to watch the first 3 years of Housewives on the new DVD player. She was missing the last 5 years.

So after becoming addicted to the first 3 years of the series, she wanted me to purchase year 4 and 5 using my rewards!! Thank you Best Buy.

This show is a fine example of great writing and beautifully crafted characters. The story lines, while occasionally asking the viewer to temporarily suspend belief, are often humorous and equally serious.

The actors, for the most part, seem to have been born to play their respective characters. This show is extremely entertaining while omitting the smut that is so evident in most of today’s TV fare.

Love love love this series! I can never watch it enough times! And this season is by far the best! And it’s not like a soap opera it’s more witty and just all around down to earth than a soap. I even got my boyfriend into it!(:

I had been wanting this product ever since it was originally released. The only issue I kept having was that it was so costly. I finally found a brand new sealed one at a reasonable price so I snatched it right up.

The presentation is great and all the DVDs play beautifully. I was an avid fan of the show when it originally aired and now I can enjoy all the fantastic episodes any time I like. Im also able to relive the memories of how much I enjoyed it when it originally aired and how I would wait with much anticipation each week for the next episode.

If you were an avid fan of the show as I am then you owe it to yourself to get this absolutely amazing collector set for yourself.

Box set packing & dvd cases could be made much better. U have to be careful sliding them in & out of cardboard so u don’t scratch them. Also some discs are miss marked. First season disc 5 episodes are actually on disc 6 & vise versa.

The bonus disc is in a flat carboard apple & just loosely flopping around in box. Hopefully it plays. It has light scratches all over it because of how it has been packaged. Haven’t gotten all through the rest of the seasons yet.

Hopefully the discs get more accurate for rest of seasons. Other than that, it is a good show. My daughter loves it.

While I do love the series, I’ve boughten and returned this boxset twice already. Yes, it’s cheaper than buying all 8 seasons individually, but the quality is cheaper as well. My first one shipped and it was falling apart with dics falling out when I opened it.

Also, there is a sticky puddy like substance used to hold the inside packaging of each season together, which is fine. But in this case, it doesn’t stick well and the discs easily roll on it. One of my discs that I didn’t even touch had a little but of the sticky stuff on the disc, and it skips within 2 out of the 4 episodes on that disc.

The value is great, but the quality is terrible. I’ve returned it twice and I’m considering exchanging it one more time, but after that if there is still issues, I’ll just buy the individual seasons.

I absolutely love this series. I know it was popular in it’s hay day, and I just love the craziness. It’s definitely pure escapism for sure! I highly recommend this series to anyone who just wants to laugh out loud and escape to some over the top shenanigans!!.

This is a great series. So much better than those scripted reality shows. I’ve grown to love all the characters.

Trust Best Buy to the fullest! With coupons and rewards got this DVD set for a really good price. I also got 2 day shipping guaranteed considering that I live in Alaska. I love every Desperate Housewife DVD I own.

Every season gets better.

I’m not really a fan. Some parts were cute but I have complaints about all the characters. I never really was one for senseless drama or drama in general. I prefer a show that I can get something out of like a moral or lesson.

If I learned anything from this show, it’s that I don’t want the life of any of the people on this show. One of worst characters is the pedophile wife that has sex with a teenaged boy. She belongs in jail.

I also don’t appreciate the portrayal of the weird kid that needs help. Being weird doesn’t mean you’re a psychopath. He had a supportive father. I really feel like his character was unrealistic. It seems like the person who created these characters was your typical “popular” HS peaking person who graduated in the 80’s or something.

Get over it. HS is over. Move on. I can’t believe this garbage was popular then and that there have been similar adaptations that are just as popular today. It really says what’s wrong with our society.

I’d really like to live long enough to see us grow passed this stage.

This was my favorite tv show ever!! I wish they hadn’t discontinued it. I loved that every housewife had their unique personality and traits. I liked them all for different reasons. I still watch old episodes on 📺.

Currently watching all of the seasons again for the fourth time in my life! I can’t get enough of the show. It’s hilarious it’s dramatic. It’s a show that I can really get sucked into, a show that I can really enjoy.

I recommend you haven’t seen it yet and you like a modern day type soap opera with comedy and all that you should give it a try.

I watched Disc 1 & Disc 2 of Good Witch, Season 1. I noticed that Season 2 has 3 discs. I began watching Disc 1 of Season 2 — and felt that something was missing. I checked the dates the episodes had originally aired & discovered that “Good Witch Halloween,” which is described as a “bonus” on Disc 3, aired Oct.

23, 2015 as “Something Wicked. ” This was after Season 1 ended, but before Season 2 began. The first episode on Disc 1 Season 2 is “Second Time Around,” which aired on April 16, 2016. “Second Time Around” continues to build upon important story-line details that were begun in “Good Witch Halloween/Something Wicked.

” Specifically: Linda had asked Cassie to stop helping Sam & Nick; Stephanie had met Ben & they started dating. So I watched Disc 3 first, then watched Discs 1 & 2. To save myself confusion, I reorganized the discs in the package: Disc 3; Disc 1; Disc 2.

I can’t believe that I bought all 5 seasons of this rubbish. Supernatural comedy? It’s like a boring afternoon TV movie or soap. It has nothing, no action, no story line as such but plenty of cheese.

The characters? Well Cassie if she nods her head any more she’s gonna need a neck brace (which might improve the duck bill pout!), The daughter is just too sickly sweet and Brandon the cop looks like he needs to spend some time in the bathroom with all those strained looks.

The rest not even worth bothering to mention.

Just when you think you know what is going to happen next, Cassy Nightingale opens a new door to a new adventure! The fresh days, and crisp autumn accents, followed by the seasons, gives this series the right spark! You can smell the changing leaves and herbal teas!.

Very disappointed, I ordered these in hope of getting new dvds and instead got pirated 3rd party ones with smudges and scratches. I had to return them. This deserves no stars. Never Again!!!

I’ve only recently gotten into this television series and I’m wondering how I missed it when it first aired. A few months back I was flipping through channels with the remote and I happened to see that there were writers on this show that had written for the Frasier sitcom and from there I knew this was going to be good.

Love it when expectations are exceeded! It’s not only good, it’s great. So many twists and turns and then comedy on top of that. I’m hooked and am now in the process of buying all the seasons.

This is an awesome series with great writing, acting, directing plus, it’s a Disney production! It’s seems to be funny, sad and drama filled in every episode

We love the show and was happy to get this season for less on ebay. We are very disappointed with the quality of the case the dvd’s came in. We are very careful with our belongings and handled the case with care, but it still broke.

It is very poorly made, especially when compared to the previous years cases. There seems to be less quality control over the way things are made, which is very disappointing. We are just happy that the quality of the show hasn’t changed.

My daughter raved to me about the show, Desperate Housewives, and insisted I see it. But she said it was important to start at the very beginning, so she bought me the 1st season. My husband and I really love the show, so we bought all the seasons from 2 – 7 off Ebay.

We are currently in the middle of the 6th season. Every season we have watched has been just as good as the next. I hope there will be a season 8, 9 and 10! Otherwise, we have to find a new favorite series.

These season are my favorite I have bought all seasons and I love it. My husband is also into it and we both love to talk about what’s happening. I’ve heard that this show was one of the highest rating show very popular.

Great story telling and my husband is very hard critic and he loves the show. Highly recommended desperate Housewive seasons.

This is actually my first time ever watching a season of this show and I am watching it right now as I am typing about it and if I must say so myself, it is definitely a treat that I have been missing.

I am online today trying to order up all of the rest of the seasons(smile). Eva is my favorite character with her jail bird husband saga. She plays the heck out of her part being a suburban wife in heat! Wow! What a funny! Well gotta go finish watching these girls with sass and flash! Chow! And lovin’ it!.

Well, I’m re-watching Desperate Housewives…….gotta love the humor! I’ll watch it several times I’m sure. Need to order more of the seasons.

Our family watched this television series when it was broadcast in the 1990s. It was an uplifting and wholesome show and the entire family benefited from it. I believe every household should own several seasons of Touched by an Angel.

It is an encouraging reminder of God’s love for mankind. I highly recommend this first season whether you’re a Christ follower or an atheist. Everyone should know and understand that he/she is loved by the heavenly Father.

I now own season 1 through 5. And i can’t wait until season 6-8 comes out on dvd. This show is the best show i’ve ever seen for leading people in a Godly direction. All of the angels are terrific. They all do such a wonderful job that it really does inspire people and change lives.

I only hope that if they ever bring the angels back for a tv special that they can find one as suitable for the part as john dye was. All of these angels are very wonderful as well as beautiful. This was a very wonderful show and i was so sad when it ended.

But needless to say, i’m very satisfied with my purchase and would never take my money back for the dvds. Its well worth the investment for all the hours of joy you will recieve as you watch those 4 beautiful angels work their miracles.

I started watching the Desperate Housewives series on t. v. when the second season was airing. I caught an episode on t. v. at random one night and decided to watch it and see what it was about, after seeing the one episode I had to buy the first season because I wanted to know how everything got to the point where I began watching and I now have all five season’s that are out on dvd.

I have been hooked ever since and think that the writing and actors are very creative and fit the roles that they play. There are lot’s of ways to describe the series, there’s funny, sad, exciting, surprising, romantic, and in some ways it is relating to real lives.

You are definitely on the edge of your seat or wanting to see the next episode right away!!! I think that there are lot’s of choices now days for a t. v. series that you could follow or say that you are hooked on and they cover everything from family to school to nursing and crime, this series is funny and I think that people who have never seen it would like to follow it.

I decided to buy the fifth season from e bay because it is more convenient than going out to buy it and it is cheaper. I have all of the season’s available so I had to have this one to continue my collection of the series!!!.

I was surprised to see that Italian was included as a language choice, in a pleasant way, but on the other hand, I was a bit disappointed about the case, not being the usual, predictable box including a number of slim cases inside.

having all the DVDs in one, normal case is cheaper, but my collection doesn’t look right with it like this. That’s just me being picky though. It’s a great series, and a brilliant collection to have! I recommend it.

Anyone who loves desperate housewives just buy it. you won’t be disappointed. This is yet again a superb series. Its full of twists and crazy going ons. The cast as usually are amazing What more can i say.

When the series started in 2004, life was busy and I didnt watch the whole series. It is funny and addictive and thoroughly recommended.

Having managed to spend 8 series with Desperate Housewives we feel pretty deflated . ‘We want more ‘ Really enjoyed this epic series.

Desperate Housewives just has to be one of the most light-hearted, addictive ways to spend a wet winter afternoon. and if nothing else you can have a good laugh at the antics. But which one are you most like you??? Are you a Susan with a sexy man in your bed? Or Lynette – career and nappy juggling? Gabi with a lust for Gucci??? Or perhaps dear Bree.

who despite always sliding a coaster under the spills of life never seems to stop the rings from leaving their marks. You just can’t help but smile.

Bought this for my wife for Christmas, as she’s a huge fan of the show. She hasn’t got to this season yet, but she will in due time since she’s watching the previous seasons first.

Never get tired of watching Desperate Housewives. So entertaining, will be sad when I have finished last season.

Fantastic purchase at an incredibly low price! Although I watched Desperate Housewives series 1 when it was shown on Channel 4 in 2005 and loved it, I enjoyed watching the boxset more because you can watch bonus material such as audio commentary by the creater Marc Cherry, deleted scenes due to lack of time, behind the scenes goings on and secrets, hear the main actresses talk about their favourite scenes and other things.

It was the best purchase that I have made this year and I plan to buy the boxsets for all the other series on Ebay. As a mother of 2 young naughty children I could relate to the mothers in the show especially the character Lynette.

The writing is great because it is so funny but with a dark and mysterious side that keeps you hooked and wanting to watch the next episode and series. I love all the characters and the storylines and can’t wait to watch the next series.

I bought this DVD because I am a bored desperate housewife who wants to work but can’t because I am living in a country where I don’t speak the language (French) although I desperately want to.

just as good the 2nd time around. Watched this way back when it was on TV. Needed some light entertainment for the self isolating times! It served the purpose. Great series. We all see a little of ourselves in ‘Desperate Housewives’.

I first watched housewifes in an attempt to find something that would appeal to my wife when her other favorites were no longer shown. I wasn’t expecting much and what first struck me is that the houses, the street, and even a few of the cast had obviously been put together in a workshop on the studio lot.

Of course i wasn’t going to enjoy it, it was for chics wasn’t it? After the first episode i agreed to watch another and now we’re smiling our way through series 3. Housewives is shallow, it’s actors look nothing like the overweight American tourists we come across from time to time and there have probably been more crimes committed by the dozen or so players than the total population of Alcatraz in its hayday, but.

it’s great. The stories, although often inplausible are so well written that you can’t help but be drawn in. The characters have been well thought out and are played superbly by actors who i have never heard of before, with the exception of a few guest stars.

Brie Van de whatever is a force to be reckoned with and would have Hanibal Lector crying for his mum. Gaby and Carlos are a comedy team on their own. In fact everybody entertains. Black comedy tinged with dramatic soap at its best.

I’m hooked.

Saw the second episode of this 2022 season, a party at Heather’s. Shannon is such an unhelpful friend and cannot keep a secret. Also, I think – for her own sake – that someone should get her to look at her departure from Heather’s house – the back view of Shannon.

She walks like a seasoned navvie in those silly too-high heels. She doesn’t have the legs or gait for them. I’m sure she’s a nice person (so she keeps telling everyone) but I haven’t seen it yet.

I love the show. Gina is a cold hearted. How could she say crap happens after one of her friends father dies. Unbelievable. She has no empathy. She shouldn’t be on the show. She’s mean to Shannon as well.

When she went through her DUI she sure expected everyone’s sympathy.

The Real Hpusewives of Orange County is the reason the housewives series take off. I always look forward to a new season of Orange County. I’m a housewives junkie and Orange County will forever be my favorite.

They are the most normal, relatable, and let’s face it—FUN wives in the series of shows. Will not disappoint!.

Nene Leakes, How can you not love this women!? She has her wrong moments but when she’s good, she’s great! She was just made for reality tv. There is literally a meme reaction of her to any situation.

I have watched every single season of the show since Season 1 and they just ended Season 14, she is no longer on the show but i still hold out hope that she’ll return one day. Anything is possible. Also i want to add there are a bunch of other talented, beautiful, and successful ladies on the show.

They all deserve a recognition for their addition to the show but Nene will always be my favorite. I definitely recommend when you are in the mood to binge. All seasons are available on streaming services: Hulu and Peacock.

I’ve watched this show since it first came on and I enjoy the ladies and most of the time, they crack me up. But, it seems as time goes on, some of them appear to be more self-centered, and under the impression that they’re bigger than what they are, and most disappointing, they take every occasion to fight.

I think they’ve become a poor example of black women. And, where are they getting these “housewives” anyway? The newest two don’t add diddly squat to the show. I would be so disappointed if the show was cancelled, but let’s get some ladies on the show who actually have a story line, and let’s get back to be the rocking, funny ladies they once were.

Seriously after seeming perilously on the decline this season it’s now on a great upward turn! The OGs kandi and Cynthia kept me struggling watching this franchise They are strong youngish women whose accomplishments albeit enhanced by their appearances ( a platform and surgical help)on this franchise make them great role models for young black women.

Nene used to be TV gold in spite of her bullish ways,but alas her irrational need to reign as Queen bee has become stifling. Her treatment of costars is appalling and the horrendous treatment of husband Greg becoming all about her, finished further interest in a woman now shying away from reality in the very genre from which she has become rich.

See later. The other costars all are so money and fame hungry it seems they would do anything to sustain their existence on this series. Marlo it appears has had a most tragic childhood but none of this is ever aired.

Kenya More. lives by her surname. she wants and wants. None of these women ha e values other than materialism and envy. Mores jealousy of her husbands attention to his daughter sum her up. The worst part is the needless bullying of each other , it seems they deem necessary to stay on the show.

Take back my comments on the decline of this franchise. Whilst I still think my comments above are 100% valid, I’m so glad I kept watching, since my need to restream the episodes of late is my benchmark for how good the episodes are.

Even I felt for Moore’s separation, since clearly this woman has jealously covetted a man forever. It’s just her inability to see why Marc Daly treated her so badly. Not that I’m excusing his awful treatment of her , he certainly is no catch, but I can see his eyes were wide open to Kenya’s hideous character.

Clearly he hates her pretentiousness and the limelight and I’m sure she thought she could change him. That girl never learns. These women all place money above all and that’s why Moore will never find what she’s looking for.

It will be by some miracle that anybody will enable her to see the “light”. That said nene return to the fold and yup her journey after her deplorable behaviour during Greggs illness seems to have made her aware of her own input to her relationship problems.

Love or hate her, she is TV gold, and so is Kenya Moore. I’m not sure I’d want to be friends with either buts that not the point. I do however feel Nene is a very good judge of character but she is her own worst enemy.

The proverbial rough diamond, but she needs to soften those edges. sic. Cynthia and kandi maintain the backbone for this motley crew. Tanya has really proven her worth, she doesn’t bring drama but she adds the” real”.

She’s classy and her partnering with Porscha has given them a dynamic. I’ve even found Porscha quite entertaining. Tanya S reaction to Kenya Moore’s deplorable rant calling her the “c. ” word was so on point.

It revealed Moore for what she ia always claiming others to be. trash. Kenya Moore really is a one off, thank goodness. Now she is losing her looks, who knows how evil she will become? Marlos is a real Jekyll and Hyde.

Her snobbish pretentiousness is sooooo ugly but it seems she has a soft underbelly and if she wasn’t so trapped in her materialism I think I may quite like her. The way she has taken her nephews under her wing is commendable but I fear she will turn them into monsters.

Her entitled ways are not pretty. in anyone! The obvious lack of social and racial diversity is as valid in this franchise as in any other.

This is a great DVD for European region. can be played on PC. It is about a group of Romantic Artist in the 1800’s and was a BBC series of 6 episodes. Great for the historical atmosphere and most of the characterization is close to truth of the known history.

Fun to watch. Educational about the actual pieces of art shown and the times in English history, too.

Mostly watch for fun rather than for educational value, so probably not the place to go to for an extremely accurate account of the brotherhood, but worth while all the same. Nice style, easy to watch and obvious packed full of brilliant actors.

Some vibes of The Picture of Dorian Gray.

A fantastic 6 hours of fun detailing the escapades of the pre-raphelite brotherhood. If you loved Aidan Turner in Poldark then you are in for a treat in this series where he is at his best. All strong actors and a great romping story line.

Funny and brilliant the drama races along at a heady pace and all the characters are endearing in their own ways.

I purchased the “Desperate Housewives” pc game at a local thrift store. I love video games and figured that maybe I’d enjoy computer games as much. This game is so much fun and it’s super addicting! You play the game as a housewife with a husband and son.

You get to interact with your neighbors and others. You can decide if you want to be nice or petty to them. Sneaking into neighbor’s houses is the funnest part of this game. I’ve spent several hours at my computer playing this game.

I’ve never actually seen this show, but I think I need to watch it in the future. I definitely recommend this game!.

I am a major Sims fan and a Desperate Housewives fan, so when I saw this game, I wanted it badly! I got it as a gift and was so excited to finally play it. Overall, the game was pretty fun. In some aspects, I found it to be more fun than The Sims; in others, I did not.

The minigames keep you entertained for a little bit, but the thing I found most entertaining was the fact that you can go in and steal items from your neighbors while they are asleep/at work. This game could have been better, but it was worth it.

It kept me entertained for a while, and it gave me some good laughs. Overall, I liked it.

Considering how old this game is, I’d say the graphics are pretty good. I personally LOVE the actual show so I thought it would be fun the play the game. I really did enjoy myself for quite some time but I encountered a glitch that doesn’t let me continue on with gameplay.

I haven’t been able to fix it so I just thought I should mention that the game is glitchy.

I love the people on the show and the story lines. I really love Teresa 😍 and her honesty ,crazyness in a good way 💜. Gia can be a brat sometimes but loyal to her family and beautiful. No room for improvement and exceeded my expectations.

TabLe fLipping/prostitution Swearing/dancing on top of tabLes! The fooddddd! Manga! They are aLways vacationing around the gLobe to exotic destinations.

Ok I am reviewing this on all seasons except the last 2. I never imagined I’d be watching this. I heard people discussing this show, while referring to them by name. Like did you hear what Theresa Did? So I teased my sister,this was season 1! Well I don’t know how or when but I found myself watching an episode.

Thsnk God it was the table flipping one. Classic Theresa, I love her so much. I connected because I too have a big Italian family and could relate to a lot. I did have a hard time as people came and went but as long as Theresa stayed I would.

I know she is the cause of most of her issues. But she is in my opinion what made this show a success. Enter Melissa Gorga, jealousy and gossip. I loved Caroline until she became overbearing. Jaclyn wss5the hardest to see suffer.

She seems so genuine. I love them all, many were fake friends. few were loyal. But I loved the mix of real life situations, glam, girl issues, and drama. I love this one and tried others but never could get into them.

Once it dries down your skins warmth reveals sandalwood, tonka bean, vanilla and cedar. I like it because its clean, fresh, and pretty. Its perfect for young ladies as their first tries with perfumes, and is office/church friendly as long as you dont douse yourself in it.

I see sunshine and smiles – even if you wear it in the depths of winter because its so refreshing. I LOVE it, and I hope you enjoy it too.

i used this product one night before i went to sleep and when i woke up my face felt so hydrated and smooth. it was so great that i decided to let my sister try it and the next morning when i woke up it was gone and literally a month later i found it on her dresser and it was practically empty !! that was so upsetting.

but i guess since it was basically empty it was a great product. too bad i wasn’t able to try it out for a couple of weeks, or even days, to see how my skin would’ve reacted.

I’ve been wearing this since it first came out and was only sold at Macy’s. It’s light enough that you can’t easily over-do it, but just bold enough to be noticed. Everyone that’s complimented the scent, immediately wants to know the name and where it was purchased.

There’s always a chuckle about the name and a shear disappointment that it’s been discontinued. I’ll continue purchasing as long as I can still find it.
