This is the second Os 46 AX II engine that I have purchased this year. Both engines have performed flawlessly. Highly recommended.

There are engines that are better, longer lasting, but, none tune better. OS claim to fame, is the carb. Get one before they’re all gone.

Good engine. Exactly as described. Be aware that the engine has no oil in it (normal for shipping) bit none included with the shipment. Currently about an hour of run time powering a chipper/shredder.

Starts with one pull and runs strong. I do miss ratings in horse power though!.

I bought this engine to replace my 70 something log splitter B&S that simply saw way too many hours. I was pleasantly surprised that it was a very simple replacement and everything fit perfectly. After almost 50 years we all know things just don’t match up and fit so easily without some kind of modificaiton, but it did.

For an engine that was probably made in China I was also pleased. Im starting to wonder if this thing uses any gas. And. it is handling the toughest logs and not bogging down at all. The price was right and it all is working better than expected.

Now how long will this engine last?.

Runs 13500 BTU A/C on travel trailer just fine. Pretty quiet, LP gas fuel in 20 pound bbq tank is safe and easy to use. Electric start is a big plus for easy starting. Folding handle makes this 95 pounder fairly easy to roll around.

Have not tried to run it off travel trailer low pressure LP gas outlet yet, not sure if it will work. All in all, good value in this unit. A few minor scratches, all cosmetic, no concern.

I purchased this dual fuel generator for camping and in the event Texans experience Snowmageddon II this winter. The unit is easy to setup, start, and shutdown. It arrived quickly and in excellent condition.

The product seems to be of good quality.

Compared to others I find this genny loud. Im usually at camp site or area that I prefer to have little noise. That being said. Easy push button start, dual fuel if needed, and plenty of power for my 24 ft toy hauler.

Here in the Midwest we suffer from terrible Storms year-round, From Blizzards in the Winter Tornados and Thunderstorms in Spring and Summer leave us without power from days to weeks in Rural areas. We also love to go Camping in the Spring and Summer.

I searched the internet for about 2 weeks for the best deal/Best performance and customer ratings. I got this Generator for $229. 00 SHIPPING INCLUDED. The Wheel Kit is a must have unless you are going to mount it permanently.

The DuroStar has by far the best Customer ratings of any like priced Generator and even better to some costing much more! It will run our Campers Roof-top AC unit Fridge and lights with no problem if and when needed.

It will also run our Furnace, lights and Refrigerator at it’s top end of power. You need to pull and discard a metal shipping brace and Wooden Block from the underside. I kept the plastic cover to be used as a dust cover, (But only after the Generator has cooled down)! The Choke lever and the Breaker switch are made too flimsy on this model and I don’t understand skimping a few pennyies of material cost on heavier plastic?? also a 12V output would be a nice feature, but at this close-out price I won’t complain too much but I will be ordering an extra choke lever just in case.

I have alwaysbeen Mechanically inclined so I am not afraid of this unit, especially after reading One Star reviews from people over a bolt or two working loose after a few weeks of running, really? The first thing I did was epoxy a small powerful Alnico Magnet onto the inside end of the oil drain plug.

During the break-in period there are always metal shavings that are part of the process while parts that contact each other match up, The Alnico magnet catches those Ferrous Metal shavings so they don’t stay suspended in the oil, this was an old Mechanics trick I use for every Motor that does not already come with a magnetic drain plug.

I used regular 10-W-30 motor oil for the break-in period because Synthetic is too “slippery for good ring seating. When Breaking in any Gasoline motor it is advisable to vary the Engine speed so I went out during the 4 hr run time and manually pushed the throttle up for a few minutes every 20 minutes, I also plugged in several different objects which ran the Governor and lugged the Engine differently.

When I changed the oil there was kind of a paste of metal stuck on the drain plug showing the Magnet did it’s job properly, that metal acts like sand paper inside the Engine and is why it is required to do a first oil change after a few hours run time.

Speaking of operating speed it is set fairly high from the Factory, this is to take some of the shock of appliance startup like Air Conditioners, it also adds to runtime noise and fuel consumption when at a low usage period.

as more and more power is required the Governor takes control and gives the motor more fuel by opening the throttle. The Governor is a simple device run off of the cooling fins on the motor, as the motor lugs down the engine speed slows down which puts less air pressure on the governor control, this in turn opens the throttle more until the preset speed is met.

It is a simple but very effective device and why you CAN lower the Engine idle speed. My last Generator (which is the same model basically) has over double the running time the MFGR has rated the engine life! It still works but is beginning to use oil and with the motor just holding 20 oz it requires getting up in the middle of the night at times to add oil.

I wish that the Motor held a full quart, it would be more convenient AND increase run time between oil changes. Which at 20 hours is more often than about every other brand of Generator on the Market.

Running Synthetic not only extends Engine life and I change at 30-40 hours run time depending on how hard it has run. I advise keeping a Log Book including run time and oil changes, this takes all the guesswork out of oil changes.

putting the log book in a zip lock bag keeps it Weather proof and allows you to keep it at the generator at all times. A couple strips of Duct tape and heavy string allows you to tie the bag on the generator.

I hope my tips help some of you on the fence of buying this brand. This price will only be around for a short time until the stock off 4000’s runs out for the new model 4400 costing about $100. 00 more.

Bought because main generator in my RV needs major engine repair and parts might be slow in coming. The DuroMax DS4000S/3300w generator is very solid. Included tools are of marginal use as you need a lot more leverage than these small wrenches affords.

No biggie, have plenty of tools to handle the few bolts needing loosening or removal. Oil filling is a challenge but included funnel & clear tubing make it easier. Problem is the fill hole is at the very bottom area si if generator is on floor/ground it is challenging for sure.

Then when you remove tube oil WILL flow out until you get plug/dipstick back in place. I’ll confirm you should change the oil several times during the first 20-25hrs operation. The first in order to help clear out any metal bits in engine left over from manufacturing.

It also gets dirty fast. So pay attention to everything the owner’s manual mentions. Baby it and I’m betting you’ll get years of reliable use. Now, the oh so “special” act of changing the oil. PUT GENERATOR ON BENCH THEN IN BLOCKS or you will have no way to drain oil into a dish or whatever.

I’m going to find a bit of tubing to give additional working room. If you can’t put it up higher to access find a low dish to hold about 20oz of used oil. Those are not short comings just gottchas needing attention.

Starting can’t be easier. Started first pull then every pull. Just don’t work to hard or try to pull really forcefully as if it won’t start right away you missed closing the choke, opening fuel valve, turning on the actual engine button on the front.

But an easy start for sure, at least so far. It’s not really heavy at about 110lbs with fuel & oil. Easier to pick up thanks to it’s cage. Consider adding wheels & handle kit. I learned that at my age now 100lbs is MUCH heavier than it used to be.

Did gravity increase? Electrical connections on front are, not great. The standard 20A/120v receptacles are, well, crappy. The vibration of generator will slowly push any plug out. So consider using the L5-30 three prong twist locking receptacle instead.

Plus that is the full 30A connection if plugging your RV in directly. Sound is fair. Not super quiet but not high pitched obnoxious loud either. A bit of distance and a couple boards to strategically baffle & deflect the sound waves will make it effectively quieter.

Were i to buy again with another $100-$150 in my budget, i paid $229+tax, i would look at the E4400 model instead. Still this is a no regret purchase. It’s going to be a backup, gives me about 50% of electricity my 6.

6Kw generator produces. I can yse convection/microwave oven or one rooftop A/C unit plus keep house batteries charged. What more could I ask for?.

I’ve never owned a portable generator before. I was surprised at how well made it is and how well packaged it was. It came with two wrenches, a screwdriver, spark plug wrench and, thankfully, a funnel for filling it with oil.

I also purchased the wheel kit, which I highly recommend as this thing isn’t lightweight (I think it’s 94 pounds). If you’re getting the wheel kit, purchase it at the same time since you’ll want to install the wheels before adding oil and gasoline (it’s easier to install the wheel kit with the generator upside-down).

After I installed the wheels (the instructions are horrible), I filled it with oil, added some gas, and followed the instructions to start it. It started after a few pulls. I tried it again a couple of hours later and it started on the first pull.

To test it I ran the generator and plugged in a vacuum cleaner. Worked great. I have to assume that the next time I have a power outage that my wife and I will at least be able to make a pot of coffee, have some lamps, use a toaster oven and maybe watch television (assuming cable isn’t out too!).

One bit of advice. If you intend to use a generator for whole-house wiring, look for a generator that also has a 240-volt output. This one does not. With 240-volt output, you can have an electrician add a second circuit breaker box in your home and place a receptacle outside for the generator to plug into.

That way you don’t need to run extension cords and your heating system pump and any built-ins, such as refrigerator, will have power. Just don’t overburden the wattage output of your generator by using too many power-hungry appliances at once.

This power wattage size (3650 continuous wattage) is the “sweet spot” for fuel efficiency and sufficient power to run necessary home appliances during a power outage or a 30 amp RV for recreational purposes.

I bought it to use post Hurricane Laura and ran it mostly non stop for approximately 125 hours without any issues. I followed the maintenance schedule and used synthetic Royal Purple for the initial oil change and the subsequent 100 hour change.

I inspected and cleaned the air filter, spark arrestor and spark plug at 75 hours and replaced the spark plug at 120 hours, due to carbon buildup (probably not necessary, yet). We ran our 30 amp RV (13500 BTU A/C unit only) while simultaneously running our home refrigerator a couple of fans and 55 gallon fish aquarium.

The generator only used approximately 2. 5 gallons of fuel per night and about the same during the entire day without running the A/C. With the A/C on during the day it would burn approximately 4 gallons.

Fuel usage is the most important thing to consider when it is rationed and/or scarce like following a natural disaster. this generator is a light drinker and simply a “dandy” with a cool paint job to boot! Buy the optional wheel kit, though.

One start pull, I love that they supply the oil in the packaging. 1qt 10w30. Not to loud and very solid frame. I would recommend buying the wheel kit for it.

Once this little engine is Properly broken in and tuned it is a ton of fun! Installed in my Traxxas Nitro Rustler It does not have the kind of back flipping Torque of larger or more exotic engines but its top end absolutely screams.

It is capable of 60+ mph in a rustler with 22/72 gearing. In my opinion It would be ideally installed in a lighter weight model no heaver than a bling’ed out nitro rustler, The Traxxas 3. 3 would be a better choice for something heavy like a monster truck.

I think the Traxxas 2. 5R engine has Very good performance for the price.

fired up quick right out of the box, ran good, broke – in good, and still starts like immediately, every time I throw it on the box. not the most powerful engine I’ve ever had however it’s quite Snappy great for its price.

Excellent 2.5 traxxas nitro engine… lots of fun for your dollar bill … Great way to spend an afternoon with family or friends alike.

First off, pay attention to what you are getting here folks. If you want front mounted transducer, this can work with crafty DIY, but you should look at other models that have that built into the motor.

It can be run with a remote and bluetooth if you install the Co-Pilot (not to be confused with i-pilot) Mine actually came with the Co-Pilot in the box, which I thought would be extra. Not sure if that was a mistake or something Minn Kota is doing at the moment because of the back orders on their other parts and the I-Pilot.

It can be run with I-Pilot which has the GPS functions and Spot-Lock. This will be extra, and will not be cheap, and currently it’s not available due to backorders. It will nearly double the cost of the investment, but that can be done at your leisure.

This is a strength because you have a fully working trolling motor and if you decide you want routes, directional headings, spot-lock etc – you do not need to resell and buy a new motor. The foot pedal is cheap.

It’s a side to side turner instead of heel-toe turner, its mostly plastic. If your typical use is to be on the pedal all the time and are weaving in and out of structures – I’d recommend stepping up to the terrova for a more traditional pedal.

This motor just plain and simple works better with a remote than the pedal. You also very much can have the pedal and remote hooked up at the same time. You just need to have the pedal set to Momentarily on and nothing else be pressing.

Any signal being sent from the pedal will shut down all reception to the remote and there is different beep to let you know that is happening. 1 beep ~ remote is working – 3 beeps ~ remote is being canceled by the pedal.

The rings are smaller than a post on batteries for a reason – you are supposed to be using a breaker with your trolling motor people. The negative also being small can be seen as a hinderance, but if you are running any kind of extensions to your battery, which is fairly common – you can just ring to ring connect them without needing to cut and recrimp the factory wire, just make sure you cover that connection.

So all in all, if you are a smart consumer and weigh your needs and your long term goals with a motor and this one fits the bill, you will be pleased.

I have been a Motor Guide user until now, and bought this trolling motor after fishing with a friend who had a very similar Minn Kota model. This one is powerful and the spot-lock feature works great, even in a strong wind.

Right now I am fishing for white bass and hybrids, so this feature is essential to stay on top of school fish once found. I like being able to keep the foot control separate in a storage compartment until I start looking for black bass.

That’s a great option. The small remote works great. And, I like the compact, relatively flat design of the foot control. I can figure out how to give it a higher angle if I want, but that is not predetermined for me by the manufacturer.

Also, the fact that the whole head of the motor moves, showing the direction it is heading, instead of just having a hard-to-see needle (like my older motors) makes it quite user friendly. I’ve only used it a few times, but it has been love at first sight for me.

My live wells have been full of fish lately!.

Ordered late Sunday night and received it on Wednesday. That’s pretty fast! Thanks Lakeside! Love the new trolling motor. I did more fishing and relaxing than I ever did with the unit it replaced. I was always glued to the front of the boat, working every minute to keep the boat controlled in the wind.

Now I can tie on a new lure, eat a snack or just take a break and Spot Lock takes care of the boat. Love it!.

While searching to upgrade from a good homeowner 2400 psi washer to a slightly more powerful pressure washer, sub 4000 psi, there were 2 things the unit had to have. First, a commercial grade Honda engine and a CAT pump.

This unit has both. Thre pressure washer was packaged very well and was put together quickly. The first time I used it I was impressed on how much better my surface washer worked on the sidewalks. With my old residential grade unit, the surface washer worked well and I thought it was normal to make several passes to clean.

This new Simpson commercial unit paired with my surface washer cleans much faster and I am super happy I chose this unit. Most areas were cleaned with one pass, some with 2 passes with the surface washer.

I did have an issue with a wheel almost falling off during my first use of the washer. At first I thought it was missing a washer and e-clip holding on 1 wheel. I contacted customer surface and they promptly returned my email.

Rather that play email or phone tag, for under $2 I bought the replacement washer and e-clip. When cutting up the box I found a broken e-clip in the box. Simpson didn’t forget the parts upon assembly, the e-clip just broke.

I won’t blame that on Simpson, rather their supplier of the e-clip, Hopefully, this pressure washer holds up well over the next decade or more like my old unit(which I keep as a back up. ).

Received this pressure washer, and there was no visible damage to the unit. After unpacking the unit, found out that the quick coupler for the high pressure was smashed and not usable. Had to have been damaged before packaging.

After fully assembling the unit, tried to start it and it would not run. Rope seemed harder than it should have been to pull. After 30 minutes of fooling with it, I came to the conclusion that the pump was loading the engine too hard for it to start and run.

Removed the CAT pump from the engine, and the engine fired immediately. I noticed that while removing the pump from the engine that one side of the pump pulled away from the mounting adapter. After closer inspection, I found that the cheap pump adapter was not straight.

I re-installed the pump, and using shims was able to get the pump re-mounted so that it was not binding on the crankshaft. After doing so, the engine started and ran fine, and the pump worked but didn’t have the power that I expected.

Next time I will purchase a larger unit and a different manufacturer.

I received the product and the box was is good condition. I followed the direction on assembly. First was fill the oil then the handle and ensure all fluid levels were at an acceptable level. Lastly putting new fuel in the tank.

I set the choke and tried to set the rpm level and the lever would not move back and forth. I installed the water line and let it run per the directions for 30seconds. I held the handle trigger so water was flowing and I then tried to pull the handle to start the engine.

I tried and it would not rotate at all. I called the service center and they suggested pull the spark plug. Still no rotation. I called amazon to return it and they declined. I then called Simpson and they told me I had to take it to a service center they gave me a list of shops.

Here I am a brand new pressure washer 2 weeks of ownership and no pressure washer. I can see if I used it a few times and ran into an issue. It is brand new. I tried supporting Americans and small business in America.

This is what I get I am sorry I cannot recommend this product.

Just bought this generator and I am so pleased. It is exactly as described. Runs my whole camper 13,500 BTU AC all lights etc. Runs nice and quiet. For the money I haven’t seen a better product on the market.

Comes with all you need to get started including a funnel to put the oil in the generator. I invited my neighbor over to check out my new generator for camping and he’s already left to go order one online like I did.

I’ll come back and update this review after a few months of use and let you know if I am still happy with this generator. Thanks Generac for what I believe is going to be an awesome generator from what I have seen thus far.

I am very pleased with this generator. It was an easy set-up and after changing the oil several times to break it in properly, it runs like a champ! It is quiet and powers my home’s sump pumps, refrigerators and more.

Great piece of mind to have for those days with power loss. Factorypure is a first-class operation. They matched a competitors price and shipped the generator to me in record time. I will return to this store in the future.

Engine arrived and bolted right up three pulls and it was purring like a kitten. Only issue was the shipping it arrived unsecured in a heavy cardboard box with nothing to stablize it. the Engine was loose and moving around in the box and it sustained cosmetic damage, recoil housing was dented.

Great price on the engine. They shipped it out quickly. Very smooth and simple transaction. I will buy from Arlington Power Equipment again as well as recommended them to my friends and family.

My father in-law owns a concrete business and had problems with the engine on his compactor. And on the compactor was a Honda GX140 which I assume has been discontinued because I couldn’t find a new one that size anywhere.

So I was a little worried about getting the next size bigger engine. When the new engine arrived I was impressed by how well it was packaged and when I removed the old one and installed the new one everything lined up perfectly.

I added the oil and gas, and started it on the first pull. You couldn’t ask for a quieter smoother running engine than this little Honda GX160.

I left my first negative review of this company in March of 2020. My update is as of January 2021 I still have not received my engine, nor have I been refunded my money. Yes I have emailed and emailed and emailed and the engine while still for sale on their website seems to be on backorder.

I would highly advise anyone considering making a purchase to find a different vendor as this company is aweful. I can not be convinced that they are “doing all they can” for me. Tired of waiting. will begin leaving weekly negative reviews until this has been resolved!.

The Lifan engine with 6:1 gearbox is a great engine for my use. I use them in a small racing car class for kids. The engines are, in my opinion, on the better end of the quality scale, than some other similar engines I have used.

I have had three running last year and will have three more this year.

Everything brand new for a great price. There was a small dent in gas tank but most likely happened in shipping. My application didn’t need the tank no big deal. The shipping package was well made with wood liners.

Purchased about 9 years ago. Have never used it for my home backup. Decided to install a Manual Transfer Switch and use for general appliances during power loss. Had a power loss due to storm. Generator runs but will not distribute 240 Volts to transfer Sw.

Using 50 amp single phase power plug that fits your 50 amp female receptacle. I checked the voltage at Transfer Switch and at Female 50 amp receptacle, both are reading 126 volts across the two hot legs 63 volts either hot to neutral.

After reading quite a lot about this issue I realize it can be fixed by some reconnecting. Please post (and send site link) a wiring diagram or send to my email below the reconnection diagram. Thanks.

Our HONDA generator is powering our entire home through a third hurricane here in rural North Florida where power restoration is a lower priority due to lack of population density. We are able to run our full kitchen appliances while using our clothes washer and dryer simultaneously.

The normal central Air Conditioning cycling is unaffected. The household operates via the Generator Transfer Switch as though on Duke Energy power, that is to say without closing one circuit to open another.

My 240 volt, 200 PSI shop air compressor is unaffected. Sound level is acceptable. Refueling time is dependent upon total electrical load. The fuel level indicator reads about 1/2 level after 4 hours of running with routine usage.

Oven and clothes dryer operation will increase fuel consumption. I find an average run time is slightly >6 hours. Purchased 14 years ago and still going HONDA strong!.

This generator will NOT WORK out of the box for home power. It is designed to work for construction jobs where requirements are different. The system has GFI protected circuits. A GFI circuit works by comparing the outgoing current on the HOT to the current coming back on the NEUTRAL.

A difference of as little as 6/1000 of an amp trips the circuit. If you have the NEUTRAL and GROUND bonded at 2 points (also called a loop) the current will share the return path between the GROUND and NEUTRAL wire.

Since the GFI sees less current on the NEUTRAL than on the HOT, it will trip, making the generator useless for backup. So do NOT attach the generator’s ground wire to the transfer switch at all, but use a ground rod instead.

This requires a professional electrician to make the change AT THE GENERATOR. There is NO MENTION of this issue in any of the sales literature or specification. It’s not in the owner;s manual, and not even in the Shop Manual, which I have a copy of.

This is a SERIOUS ISSUE and Honda needs to address this, and I think they ought to fix it for free on premisis (since they are so heavy. ) I am shocked (no pun intended) that this issue is not addressed by Honda.

A great product rendered virtually useless for home backup without professional revision and no hint of an issue.

The long and the short of it is although this generator is on the heavy side, it is one the best inverter generatos on the market. Direct competition to the Honda 3000i, this iQ3500 is quieter, has more features, looks better and is half the price.

I purchesed my iQ3500 to power our 30A Springdale 5th wheel camper and I couldn’t be more pleased. I wanted a generator that would power the RV properly, but even higher on the priority list was the sound – I wanted a very quiet generator.

This generator is deffinietly quieter than all 3 of the Honda inverter generator’s in the groups we’ve camped with so far. I spent weeks reading and watching reviews on a plethora of different generators and these Generac’s were consistently in the top.

The only complaints with them was weight and some reporting poor quality control, however, I guess I got a good one. The fit and finish is exactly what you’d expect from an American made product. I love the looks of this thing, the fuel gauge, output readings, estimated remaining run time, electric start, very strong Econo Mode and the 30A plug.

This unit runs the entire RV in Econo Mode with no problem at all. It kicks the A/C on without issue (no soft-start installed) – just a slight dimming of the RV lights when it kicks in as you’d expect.

With a little over 200hrs on ours so far, here’s what we’ve found: -Super super quite for a gas powered machine. -Rated at 14hrs run time at 25% capacity – we are easily able to achive this with the RV if we’re not using the A/C.

-Rated at 9hrs run time at 50% load, we usually still see 12hrs with lots of A/C use. -I only run premium fuel in it and it starts perfectly every time, it’s even easy to start with the pull-rope. -It is also very easy to maintain.

I highly recommend this Generator.

The iQ3500 Generac generator is awesome. It provides superior power while maintaining the low noise output of the 2000-2500 Watt generators. I slept like a baby with the generator 2 feet from my truck camper.

It had no problem handling the load of my internal/external lighting, refrigerator, water pump, coffee maker and air-conditioner all at the same time. It ran for 12. 5 hours straight on a full tank of gas.

The only con is the weight of the unit. It can be handled by one person, but you can’t carry it to far. Also if you are small, you may need a cart to get it where you need it. Considering the versatility, power output, and low noise profile (impressive), I would buy again it is well worth the money.

This is our 4th Generac product (and counting). Having installed a 22kW Generac Guardian as our whole-home backup generator, we no longer needed our Generac XG6500, which we donated to the in-laws. We did, however need a mid-sized generator to power our hunting camp and to handle remote farm work.

The iQ3500 filled that need perfectly. Unbelievably quiet for the hunting cabin and transfers easily into the bed of a side-by-side for off-grid power tool use. The 3500 ran a circular saw and hammer drill with no lag or audible burden.

Sensitive enough to charge devices via USB. Only downside (as mentioned in other reviews) is the spark arrestor being misaligned with the plastic grate, which may become deformed over time but doesn’t seem to impact performance.

Been a desire to own a Toro mower for a long time. As a grounds crew volunteer at my local country club and involved with turf management I have seen how good Toro products hold up for day in and day out usage so reliability of the equipment was obvious.

I know that open market products may be a little different than professional or commercial products but from my research Toro installs quality on all their machines. As for this particular product I purchased to replace my Troy Built mower here is my current take: Good Things: 1) The mower is very easy to push whether engaged in FWD or neutral when mowing and light.

2) The mower deck is constructed in a more robust way than they Troy 3) So far it has started on every second pull and pulling is easy as stated in Toro’s marketing 4) Adjustments for the handle are way to easy!! 5) Gas fill port is big and easy when filling thus eliminating a funnel or spills 6) Engine engagement handle/bar on top is easy on the hands 7) At first I was biased to Honda Engines but the Briggs is impressive so far and relatively quiet as well as good power in thick rich blue grass 8) Cleaning is easy by following the manual on just holding the garden hose to the right rear wheel, it does clean out the underside nicely Improvement Areas I feel: 1) The vortex cutting is not impressive.

It seems to hold the clippings so long that the mower engine fluxes in power until it clears and completes the double cuts on the clippings. I have to wait at the end of each row cut for the deck to clear itself before I move to my next row cut.

Like I said I have a very rich and thick lawn of all bluegrass as a result of three years of aeration and over seed 2) The drive engagement bar could be of better engineering. It is hard to hold especially with older hands.

A lever type design would be more advantageous or a squeeze type trigger design would be a great change eliminating the bar design which pulls upward towards the main handle. 3) A better speed control adjustment for the FWD could be added instead of loosening the clamp bolt and moving the cable to you and re-clamping That’s about it, I haven’t utilized the storage configuration as of yet I just leave it set up in full in the garage but will use it come winter storage time.

I do appreciate the phone app tracking hour usage. Everything else at this time seems to live up to the Toro Standards that I have read about and in Consumer Reports.

This Toro model 21445 appears to meet my fairly basic lawn mowing requirements. I like the front-wheel-drive self-propelled feature. The Title of this review topic for model 21445 is wrong, in that it says “Variable Speed.

” It is not. The travel speed is fairly brisk, but that is fine with me. I find the mowing height (wheel height) adjustment to be somewhat less than easy, certainly more difficult than necessary, but quite doable once you get used to it.

It does require a substantial amount of strength to operate the four individual adjusting levers. I have found the “recycling” (mulching?) feature to be a bit confusing. To use this feature I have found that I must mow about twice as often as I would when using the grass catcher bag.

Otherwise it “bogs down” with its “recycling” process. Other mulching mowers I have owned did not have this problem, because they more readily discharged the clippings. The grass catcher bag is adequate, although I personally think it could be about 25% larger.

The amount of “lift” (or suction) also seems adequate for my needs. We have a couple of trees which naturally shed leaves, and it does an adequate job of lifting, chopping and bagging those leaves. That is very important for my application for certain times of the year.

The optional side discharge chute (attaches the rear of the mower in place of the catcher bag) is probably the most important item that will make this mower best suited for majority of my lawn mowing needs.

In order to get this optional attachment, make certain you check the appropriate box a the end of the registration process. This Briggs engine seems to be at least as good as all of the others I have owned through many decades of small power equipment usage.

And just as advertised, it starts easily on either the first or second pull. Now they brag about never having to change the oil. To me that is very sketchy advice. I have NEVER worn out a Briggs engine, even with many decades of use.

The reason is simple: Change the oil once a year, keep the air filter clean, and or replaced, and keep up on any other minor maintenance items that may present. The “Smart Stow” feature is fantastic.

Even though it was not at all important to me in my purchase decision, I now find it to be a wonderful feature, and use it nearly every time. If given the choice, I would have rated this mower about 4.

8 or 4. 9 stars, but I just can’t do a full 5 stars, because of the few less-than-desirable items I have mentioned above.

I bought this mower in June of 2022 and it ran great for a little over a month. After that time, it will start fine… but if I shut it off and attempt to start within several minutes, it will not start.

I’m therefore not able to bag grass. It will run fine if I’m mulching… which I’m now only able to do. Although I’m allowed to run 10% ethanol gasoline in the mower, I’ve been encouraged to try ethanol free gasoline.

If this doesn’t fix the problem, I’ve been instructed to take it to a Toro authorized repair shop (for 2-3 weeks) for diagnosis. Since the mower is only a couple of months old, I would like to think it would just be replaced.

But I will “jump through hoops” of seeking out an authorized repair shop and see what happens. When it’s running, I’m very pleased with its performance.

This has to be the biggest and most beefy engine Ive seen in R/C, anything larger Id assume came out of a Ferrari. Unfortunately I never got to install it. It wouldnt fit the application Id bought it for, however the build and smoothness of all the moving parts showed that extreme attention had been paid in building this monster.

If you can fit it, but it, and buy the best wheelie bar you can find!.

Impossible to start to break in. I couldn’t get more then a sputter from time to time. It was about 60 degrees outside when I was trying to start mine for the first time in my 4. 6 X Savage. Finally after wearing out my arm I put a Roto Start System on it and swapped it for a medium glow plug.

a OS #8 and after cranking with my HPI Roto Starter got it started. It ran horrible but it ran and I went through the tedious break in for 8 tanks of fuel. By tank 4 it was running and starting better but still a pain to keep going at times.

Be Patient. By tank 9 I leaned out the high needle one turn in and the low speed needle one turn and cannot keep the wheels on the ground! This engine is a Beast! It starts very easy now and simply has more power then I know what to do with! It is a ripping Beast.

So be patient. I suggest you warm your cylinder head with a hair drier for first time starting if it is cooler outside until this engine gets broken in or highly recommend a Roto Start for it. In the end you will be more then pleased with it! it is one of the best engines I have bought.

And I am a OS man. Very happy with this powerhouse of a engine! Also FOLLOW the Instructions! Use 25% fuel! I could not get mine to run well on 20%. it really wants what the Manufacturer suggest. 25%.

This Engine does not care how heavy your Savage is. It will make it ground pound like it was meant to do!.

I’ve been in the Savage nitro shocks for about 15 years I’m going to replace my 5 9 with this new lrp 32 my son has a l r p 28 the 28th is a nasty engine and itself why but the 32 almost puts out 4 and 1/3 horsepower that’s insane engine is lightweight and if it’s anything like my son is 28 it should destroy my truck in one season I’ve been in the nitro RC stuff for about 35 years now the price for this engine you’re not going to do any better I only know from my son’s engine it runs extremely well stays running and has a massive power if you purchase one of these break it in right and good luck I can’t wait to enjoy mine it makes you just waiting for the weather to break y’all have a nice holiday now outstanding! And younes broken in now this thing is nasty make sure you have the right differential and transmission because this engine will destroy your gears I had to put one in a 3.

5 and now that needs to be completely rebuilt!.

Bought the 24v 80lb 54″ 2 years ago and for the most part it has been great. The only problem I have had is the foot pedal. The heel down control does not work as good as toe down. I quickly figured out why, the different modes work by reed switches on circuit board inside pedal.

Magnets that are embedded in the plastic have to get close enough to trigger switch. The heel down magnet is the only one that is not inside where circuit board is mounted. I contacted motorguide about problem, said to take to repair center.

Would have been ok with me but wanted the complete unit brought in. Just send me new foot pedal in mail and I’ll send my old back. Another company I have product from for boat has it right. You have issue, call them, talk to someone that knows the product.

They then send you new part for you to install if you are willing to do it. If not then take it to repair center. Not sure why these other companies don’t follow this warranty repair because if you want happy customers that is the way to do it.

Most of us boat owners have the knowledge/skills to replace a part. That being said these new trolling motors with gps, transducers built in, etc have a lot technology in them. They are in the weather, get beat up in rough water, and are very sensitive to battery voltage concerns.

You have to have good batteries, connections, etc or you will have problems/glitches. I played around with different magnets on foot pedal until I found one that was just right. Now foot pedal works like it should.

The heel down magnet is just not strong enough to trigger switch until pedal is pushed all the way down. With new magnet it works like toe down just starting to move down and it sends signal. They may have new pedal design to fix this by now? I hope they do.

The good things, GPS, anchor lock, heading lock, all work like they should. I have a garmin hooked up using built in transducer and it has worked like a charm. If I were to buy new one today I would most likely spend a few more bucks and get the new tour pro.

I do prefer the regular mount style and more traditional cable steer feel but with new gps features. It was not on the market when I bought this one but overall I have been happy. Best trolling motor I have had and I’ve had a few.

My advice is to talk to people, read reviews, look at the different options.

Pros: -Spot lock: works great, that’s the extent of the pros. Cons: -Foot pedal: first pedal wouldn’t connect, Motorguide had to ship new after several calls and unsuccessful troubleshooting. 2nd pedal works but might as well not work it is unusable.

delayed, spins out of control, connectivity issues. I don’t even bother putting pedal in boat. -Handheld remote: doesn’t have a screen, no idea what speed setting you are on. -Heading lock: Garbage, literally steers me straight to shore.

Better off just pointing it in the direction you want and adjusting as you go. -GPS: spotty, takes a long time to connect, sometimes it just doesn’t want to. Have to unplug the batteries and boot tmotor back-up, kick it a few times and pray it connects again.

-Release pedal: have to push super hard and something is rubbing really hard when deploying. -Manufacturing updates – Motorguide make you go to the nearest dealer to get updates, super inconvenient, you pay the costs of travel up to 200 miles before they will ship dongle.

-Customer service: not the best experience(s) trying to trouble shoot updates and issues with tmotor. Literally had a Motorguide service technician tell me he hates the foot pedal too. Going to follow VanDam to Minn Kota.

Got this summer of ‘21 The wheel kit went together very easily It’s very easy to handle and maneuver Filled it with the oil provided and with fuel WE provided it cranked up on like the third pull! Very easy to pull the recoil starter rope! This will keep us powered up in emergency situations!.

I would definitely buy this product agin! It made a difficult time a whole lot more bearable! It kept us from freezing in this great 2021 ice storm!

Haven’t needed it yet, but I’ve been able to start her up very easily each time I test it. On standby for the winter.

This is my first lawnmower so i do not have much to compare it to but here is what I think: My mower came with no oil or gas in the tank but it did come with 18oz B&S SAE 30 oil. The whole bottle was required to get the oil level to the correct range.

I filled mine on the high side to start so that there was enough oil to make the first pass through the components and still have enough in the tank. I then filled the gas tank. I had no issues filling either tank.

I then took the pull cable and wrapped it around the clip on the handle bars so that one can hold the clutch while pulling the cable. The mower started up perfectly on the first pull and sounded great.

I let it run for a few minutes to let the oil work through the components. Mowing my 0. 5 acres of lawn (4 sections) took me about 2 hours. My grass was very high and i had my blades on one of the lower settings so the mower did struggle a bit and shut off a few times due to the blades being clogged with grass.

I assume this was my fault not the mower. On my next cut a week later i raised the blade level (which was very easy by adjusting the lever on 2 of the wheels). This time it took me about 1. 5 hours with no unexpected shut offs due to blades clogging.

For the 0. 5 acres i have to clear the grass bag about 3-4 times. The grass bag is easy to remove and put back in place and does a pretty good job (catches about 85/90% of the grass). So far i have owned my mower for about 5 weeks and have cut my lawn 5 times with no issues.

I can just about cut the entire lawn on 1 tank of gas (2 out of my 5 cuts i had to refill the tank). I have been checking the oil periodically and it does fluctuate a bit. Sometime the oil is on the low side and sometimes its on the high side (assuming this has to do with temperature at the time of checking).

I have not added or removed any oil since the first fill. Overall i am happy with this lawn mower. The cuts look great, leaves nice lines, catches majority of the clippings, and is decently efficient.

It met my expectations.

I’ve had the mower for a couple of months now, and overall really like it. Pros: Powerful enough to cut through thick grass without getting bogged down Starts first or second try every time Fairly comfortable self propelled system Easy to change heights The free side shoot attachment saved this mower for me.

I highly recommend it. Cons: Mulching system is nearly worthless if your cutting less than once a week. The grass just grows much too fast, and it clogs the cutting system. I have to stop every couple of minutes to pull the back stop up to clear the deck.

I ordered side shoot and its made a world of difference. Works very well with longer/thicker grass, though it does leave clumps of grass in the yard. This is a one star mower without that attachment.

The bagging system is kind of weak. As stated above, if the grass gets too high, the bagger basically fills in the front, then clogs, causing me to stop more frequently. Overall, if you don’t have thick grass or can mow multiple times a week, this is a great mower.

But you need that side shoot if you only want to mow once a week.

When I bought this in 2021 I used it two times and it started perfectly I started it the third time and it shut down shortly after that. Would not start again. Did all the troubleshooting but still it does not start so I sit here with a brand new lawnmower that will not start.

It would cost at least $90 to take a look at other parts by a authorized Toro dealer. I was told by them that it could be the carburetor and it needs cleaned and I thought well that should not be because I barely used it, I think perhaps then somethings blocking the gas line and prevented gas to come in.

I had full confidence when I bought this thing because I had Toro prior to the new one and it honestly started every time it was used never had any problem even with lack of maintenance. At this time I do change filters and replace parts myself before on the old lawnmower so I do have confidence in the product but need some answers on this.

At this point I’m thinking that the changes/designs on the new lawnmowers could raise issues that did no t exist pin the old. I owned and operated my former lawnmower for 14 years with great results.

I know there are warranties on the engine but not on service and parts so at a loss can’t spend a whole lot more money.
