20 Best Sealant For Concrete Countertops (2023 Updated)

This product worked great to fill in the OLD expansion joist that was no longer there in the cut/cracked cement of my driveway/house from the when it was built. I had to and YOU SHOULD USE a foam filler roll first to stop any of this sealant from just dripping away into the holes/cracks that will never fill if you don’t put something down to stop this self leveling sealant from just disappearing.

This is a liquid type of product and will “self level” when applied. Should ONLY be used on flat surfaces, not on vertical, it will drip down. I used the DAP product and had to buy this “Sika Pro” due to DAP no longer being available in my area.

I had to switch products and found the color is NOT the same for each of these different sealants. just an FYI. DAP is much lighter in color compared to Sika. They both perform the same, both flow and level the same and if there is anyway this product can filter down into the hole, it will unless you use some form of product to block and stop it.

Thus, the foam insert or expansion joist product is a great alternative then just watching this product waist away down the crack/hole, it will work its way in. This is not your regular silicone and will run/smooth out and filter down into the cracks/holes.

This product is great for cracked driveways/along garage walls and blocks of your home/anywhere you need cracks filled from water getting in and freezing. This will help stop the heaving of the cement and lessen the crack from getting bigger.

Great product! I will see what happens after the Winter. This product is supposed to expand and contract with the weather so time will tell. Right now it looks great. It is brighter than your old cement, just a heads up.

Its hard to find the correct color match with cement and a new sealants. good luck!.

I bought this a couple of weeks ago and so far it’s been performing wonderfully! I used it to seal the saw cuts in my garage. First I removed dirt from and vacuumed all the saw cuts. then I used foam caulking rope to fill in the first half inch of the cut (so I wouldn’t use so much sealant), then, very carefully, applied the caulking to the seam.

It levelled itself beautifully and dried to a semi hard seal. I let it dry for 3 days before driving on it. So far it’s working out very well. Time will tell if it holds up to the driving over, hot tires, road salt and dirt this is thrown it’s way but I have high hopes.

It looks like very strong stuff. Very pleased so far.

I found this product worked wonderfully in sealing up the joint between the garage floor apron and the driveway. I also used it to seal the saw cuts in my garage floor and, so far, has worked tremendously well! It was a bit chilly when I was doing this work so I put the tubes on a furnace register to warm up first.

It flowed very smoothly after doing this. I avoided driving on it for 72 hrs after installation and it seems to have held up to subsequent drive overs. I would definitely recommend this product!.

The product itself it fantastic and works like a charm. It was very easy to use and the instructions were clear. I did run in to some hiccups though and want to share those here. This product is rated to cover 30 sqft with two layers.

if its not polished or sanded down. I wanted a nice, smooth finish on my counter tops and used diamond polishing discs up to an 800 grit. The first coat of the sealer soaked right in, but the second coat did not soak up nearly as well.

I still had tons of solution left over to I just kept going until I started to get uncomfortable. I was able to get four coats on my countertops and still had half the solution left over. This is not a bad thing, the product still works amazingly well, but there was no indication this could be a thing so I was super confused and felt I was doing it wrong.

Once I was able to talk with someone about why this could have happened, and was explained the more it is polished the less it requires, then I felt better and even excited. I had half the solution left over and was just planning to store it for later when the countertops needed another treatment.

This is where the frustration sets in. I asked the service rep if it was safe to store and keep for later but they told me the solution does not store and I would need to dispose of it. I do not have the chemistry background to know if this statement is correct or not, or if I am just getting hoodwinked, but none the less I am super bummed.

For the price I had to pay and the amount of left over solution I had and not getting to store it I really wish I had more information to make a better decision on which product to buy. I will likely buy the 880 in the future as I don’t think that will have as much waist left over.

It has been several years since my concrete counters were sealed. However, my counters still pass the water test for sealant. I followed the directions carefully and was hoping that the counters would look better after application.

But I saw no difference between before and after. I guess thats what they mean by a natural finish. I wasnt a big fan of the natural finish so I applied the countertop wax for extra shine and wax monthly.

Gave me the finish and protection I was looking for.

I liked the concept that it was marketed as odorless and effective. It is indeed effective if you use with the countertop wax. Water now beads up on the counters when something spills. I am happy with this product’s results and with its ease of application.

After spending days of backbreaking labor to build my dream outdoor kitchen area I purchased siacryl 14 in attempt to seal my new concrete counters. The directions are very simple and I followed them to the T.

I should mention also that I have a great deal of experience working with concrete and sealers. This is the first product I’ve used that simply doesn’t work. Even after using the entire bottle (more than 10 coats) the counters still will not pass the water test.

Now what? Am I to sand down the entire counters and buy a different product? On top of all that, now that I’ve been calling and calling, customer service no longer returns my calls and no refund for this $50 waste of money has been offered.

Do not buy this product!.

I used this product on several large cracks that spanned the entirety of a 12′ slab. The slab was laid about 4 years ago and cracked for an unknown reason. I’m not a mason, nor am I a contractor; and still achieved the results I wanted.

I live in northern Pennsylvania, so our “freeze-thaw cycle” is tough on concrete. I wanted to get the cracks filled before water got in there, froze, and split apart further. I followed the directions to a “t” and had no issues.

I did wear rubber gloves and cleaned up with mineral spirits. The caulk dried quickly and stuck to everything easily. It’s a really tacky substance, so I have no doubt that I got a good bond with the concrete.

The color match was close to what the tube indicated, and looks fine on the slab. Unless you plan on epoxy painting the entire slab after you use this product, you’ll see where it was filled. No product is going to match your concrete exactly, nor do they advertise that.

I was surprised how well it leveled itself out, which is fantastic. I didn’t have to trowel or level it myself This product dries HARD. Which is what I was hoping for! It’s been two weeks since I made my repair, and it is still holding up great, and looking great.

So far we have had rain, snow, and temps that swung between 12 to 65 degrees, all with zero issues. I have no doubt that this caulking will last for years. As soon as spring gets here in 5 months, I have plenty other spots that I will be using this product!.

This is truly an awesome and miracle sealant product that one really has to experience it to understand what I am trying to say. It seals like no other in the market. It wins hands down. We started with our garage renovation and since it’s an old house, there were several cracks on the side walls and ceilings.

We didn’t wanted to try using cement to conceal the crack and that’s when we gave this product a try. Not only did it seal the cracks but it looked like there was never a crack before. It made it so smooth that we even painted the whole garage after sealing.

Noone could notice any difference on the walls and we are so thankful that the job was completed with effortless ease without us using any tools on it. Great for even novice DIY-ers.

As a new homeowner, I’ve been using PL Self Leveling Concrete PU Sealant to fill in small cracks around my basement and garage. I live in WV and it’s been a little cold with it being fall, but the sealant was really thick and hard to get out of the tube.

Because of that, it makes applying it a bit hard and not as smooth as I would like. It had me putting to much in certain areas. However, it does what it is said to do. It does create a seal over the crack which you are supposed to be able to paint over, though I have not tried.

The sealant does remain a little sticky to the touch after it has cured though, so painting over it might be the pest way to remedy that. Overall, it is a good sealant to tough up minor cracks, but I would not use it for much more than that.

I followed the instructions to the letter, but was disappointed with how it turned out. Applied with a 1/4 nap roller but I barely had any time to go back and back roll to smooth out the final coat. I’m going to have to sand the whole thing down and start from scratch.

It was warmer when I applied the the product on a outdoor concrete counter, but it was definitely within the allowable temperatures as stated in the instructions. It is possible I got a bad batch, but I wanted to share my experience.

Product comes off very easily. Does not hold. Question: Why would it be called concrete & masonry sealant if it really does not work? It just peals right off. I would not purchase this product again.

Water from rainfall entered Metal Building at outside bottom edges and flowed on top slab into metal building. Used Concrete silicone caulk to seal metal concrete interface to seal water drainage to outside.

Caulking was easy to apply and thus far sealed water to the outside. Would recommend this product for sealing concrete and metal surfaces.

Product worked great. It was fresh with a great price too. And thanks for the fast shipping too 🙂
