I was trying to figure out how to learn calligraphy. Where and what supplies to write, how to get started. So I called a calligrapher. Jodean was gracious and offered me the advice on how to get started.

Walnut ink, oblique pen with metal holder and this book. It is concise step by step text book. I highly recommend it.

This seems to be a good overall instruction manual for writing Copperplate. Don’t expect to find anything else in here, just Copperplate, which is exactly what it says. The instructions are specific and easy to follow.

The information with regard to tools, pens, nibs, paper, etc is very specific and informative. Whether you are a novice or already a good writer, this book will show you specifically how the letters are meant to stand in their proper positions, height, space and so on.

Even though I am already a reasonably good hand, I found that there was a lot here to guide me to a better hand.

I am a pen collector, but also an admirer of Engrosser’s Script, which is rather an art than just a script. Not easy to find info in Greece, since this art was born in U. K and raised in the U. S. I decided to start learning this art myself.

Too much search in internet, (in iampeth too), trying to find the “right” inks and nibs. searching in internet for more than two months (before writing a single letter) and finally I bought my first nibs and ink.

What was really missing was a book that would really give me a good start. This is the one “Mastering Copperlpate Calligraphy” by Eleanor Winters. This book is maybe the best to start with. What is worth to mention -that no book of its kind describes it- is not only teaches how to write in a correct manner, but also describes mistakes that can easily be done at the beginning.

So the book teaches how to avoid mistakes too!! Once again,-at least for the beginning-, this is the perfect choice.

This book is written to tell you what a Screenplay & Screen Writer is down to it most basic core. It is not going to tell you what you what your story or how great it is – It will tell you what being a Screen Writer & what professional standards are expected for a Hollywood Screen Play on top of all the basics from formulating the foundations of a story in each part progression, character forming and their character arc.

In the basic terms this will give you every told you need to produce a professional accurate mindset, Hollywood accepted standards that you absolutely can not succeed without. If you are new or a novice to Screen Writing, the is your BIBLE.

Ive based my life on three books. The 48 laws of power, seven habits of highly effective people, and this one. THE book to buy. I read this in middle school when i bought it at a yardsale. Once i left it outside and it rained on it, buying again bc i love it, and id buy ten copies if i had to.

There are far more comprehensive books on Screenwriting (Story, by Robert McKee is probably the Bible but this was one of the first and in my opinion is still the most practical. I can hold much of the information contained in this book in my head as I write.

Although it is not the same, slim volume I bought back when it first came out. It’s been added to considerably since then.

I am an adult and have been studying sign language for 6 months. I started teaching myself so I could communicate with a student om my school bus I have studied ASL. and this Book Signed English. (Signed English is all signs in proper English order.

) For school this book is better as this is what thay teach the students at our school. I use this book every day to learn. and to study. With this book you can learn the signs,Learn sentences, practice signing, learn to read the sings and take tests with answers in the back.

You can also use as a dictionary to look up words. I even use it to brush up on my ASL. I don’t think you can go wrong with this book when I bought my 1st copy all the reviews I read were good. The Book is old 1989 but most of the signs are still current.

NOTE: I recommend that you get a couple of Sign Dictionaries to go with the book. I use American Sign Language Dictionary, and the Gallaudet Dictionary of American Sign Language. When I took a Short course this summer My instructor said the dictionaries were excellent.

in fact he had me bring in the American sing Language Dictionary he said that was the one he used for years to learn him self.

I ‘accidentally’ ordered this item. As soon as I realized this, I asked the order cancelled. I was told the item had been shipped. I find this hard to believe. Of significance is that Goodwill indicates the organization is for charity.

However this is intentionally misleading. It is a for-profit outfit which sells the donated items. Check Google and you will find how much the CEO and associates earn each year.

Clear drawings & good descriptions of the hand positions for signing. Simply explained, great for beginners or more experienced. Had lots of fun learning with this book.

Fanatical Prospecting has been recommended to me through various channels and I only wish Id read it sooner! Already seeing improvements in my prospecting. Never disappointed with the book quality from World Of Books either!.

Coricidin HBP Cold Flu tablets VoxBox I received the Coricidin HBP Cold Flu VoxBox courtesy of Influenster. Additionally, I am giving an honest and unbiased review of the aforementioned product. I decided to try out the Coricidin Cold Flu tablets because I found that my blood pressure has been slightly high at times over the past few months.

I was never formally diagnosed with high blood pressure, however, I thought it would be okay to take this medicine given the occasional elevation in my blood pressure. I tried this medication within the past week after coming down with COVID-19 and I did not tolerate it well.

I was extremely jumpy and jittery after taking the medication. I also had a hard time falling asleep, and this is pretty ironic, because most cold remedies have a sedating quality. On a positive note, the medication slightly alleviated my cold symptoms and the tablets were easy to swallow.

Conversely, I did not like the way my body felt immediately after taking the medication and this is a prohibitive factor, which ultimately means that I will not likely use this medication again the future.

Maybe it’s not completely fair to review the Coricidin Cold Flu medication because I don’t have a “bonafide” diagnosis of high blood pressure, and I took the medication while I had Covid-19, and perhaps my body was out of sorts due to the illness.

But, ultimately, I don’t think there is much difference between Coricidin Cold and Flu tablets and other cold remedies when you compare the ingredients. Unfortunately, I would not recommend the medication based on my personal experience, but this medication might be truly okay for someone else under totally different circumstances.

I received this product a few weeks ago and thought I haven’t had a cold or flu in quite awhile, so how am I going to review it. I’m not sure if I psyched myself out, but sure enough, a few days ago I came down with the flu!! I have had a horrible cough, stuffy nose and a sore throat.

I had the vaccination for Covid, but I was tested nevertheless, and it came back negative, which was a huge relief! I have never tried Coricidin Cold Flu HBP so I was really intrigued to try it and see if it helped.

The HBP stands for high blood pressure, meaning they made this formula decongestant free as the decongestant restricts the blood vessels causing blood pressure to rise. It is recommended by the American Heart Association as well.

I am taking a medication that has raised my blood pressure recently, so I thought this might even be better for me to use. After taking the Coricidin, I noticed my throat and coughing were better, but it really didn’t help my stuffy nose.

I’m sure it’s because it is decongestant free. I wouldn’t really recommend this for people who have their blood pressure under control because I think they could find a Coricidin product or something else that works better.

I think it’s great for people who have really high blood pressure and can’t get it under control for whatever reason. It’s nice to know there is a product that will help a majority of the symptoms without having to worry about side effects and is recommended by the American Heart Association.

I received this product for free from Influenster and Coricidin in exchange for my honest review. My father was really sick with a cold AND he has high blood pressure AND has always purchased this HBP product under the direction of his physician.

So I brought this to him (instead of buying). It literally worked miracles on him. After one dose he was up with a clear head and chest and his words “I feel great “! My dad is the kind of guy that does not get sick but when he does he gets really sick and usually spends most of his time sleeping.

We were so surprised to see him up and feeling better. He did take two more doses since he said that he started feeling bad again later that afternoon but since that he is really feeling better. He does not have the congestion in his chest and head his body no longer hurts and he is up to his old self.

I have waited and waited to actually have cold or flu symptoms before giving Coricidin HBP a try. With only 4 days left in this Influenster campaign, it finally happened: the dreaded flu-like symptoms.

I had to tear my CPAP off at 3 am this morning because my sinuses were so blocked up. I started taking the day capsules this morning. My mild cough and throat tickle ceased, my flush feeling and headache were diminished, and I didn’t feel tired or jittery.

I had to head into the local medical facility for COVID testing as a result of my overall symptoms, particularly since I have comorbidities such as hypertension. My blood pressure was fantastic, unaffected by this cold and flu medication.

They are clearly different colors and grouped in their own sections to differentiate. The day version has guaifenesin, an expectorant to aid in thinning mucous so you can clear it from your chest. The night version contains antihistamine which is needed as your cortisol levels fall each evening following your body’s circadian rhythm.

As cortisol falls, histamine rises and you end up congested, trying to breathe through stuffed up sinuses. Antihistamine to the rescue! Both the day and night formulas contain acetaminophen (fever and pain reducer) and a cough suppressant.

There are no decongestants in Coricidin HBP. Evidence-based studies have shown that pseudoephedrine can increase systolic blood pressure (top number) as much as 2 points with no effect on diastolic blood pressure (bottom number) in patients with medically controlled hypertension.

How much decongestants affect a person’s blood pressure depends a lot on what medication is being used to control their hypertension. Everyone is different. The lack of a decongestant such as pseudoephedrine in either day or night Coricidin HBP is a plus for me.

I received this product to review, but was already aware of Coricidin HBP products because my boyfriend has high blood pressure and came down with the flu. So we had to be careful on what he could take, after taking to his doctor, I bought Coricidin HBP Cold Flu day and night.

Let me tell you, my boyfriend is one of the biggest babies when sick. Day1, I wanted to leave he was so whiney! I hurried to buy Coricidin as fast as possible because it could possibly be the day I ran away Lol.

A few hours after his 1st dose of the day formula, his whining stopped, he wasn’t as uncomfortable, definitely still sick, wasn’t a right away cure, but he had relief. Which gave me relief! Gave him the night time dose, he was able to sleep comfortably, and so could I.

Day 2, he definitely was feeling better but not over it, gave him his day time, and I didn’t hear that whining baby, we continued his Coricidin through Day 3. On Day 4, he was back to normal feeling fine.

I know there’s no cure for the flu, or whiny people with the flu, but Coricidin definitely did help the whiny high blood pressure boyfriend with the flu I had. If you have high blood pressure or someone you love has high blood pressure, please put this in your medicine cabinet for Cold and Flu season.

With cold and flu season starting I will be keeping this stocked up in my household. I have high blood pressure and this did not make my heart race like other similar (non hbp) brands. It works to clear the congestion and body aches quickly.

The daytime let me feel symptom free so I can get through and enjoy my day to day without feeling miserable. The PM helps me get a good night sleep without struggling to breathe through a stuffy nose and keeps the congestion headaches away.

The Boiron brand is a well-known leader in the world of homeopathic products so I welcomed the chance to try their ColdCalm Meltaway Tablets courtesy of PINCHme. I’ve never used any dissolving type of medication so that intrigued me.

Pros: These were available at many stores in my area as well as online; They can be given to children above the age of 3; Lots of people (my elderly mom) have trouble swallowing pills so a “meltaway” or dissolving tablet is a great option; They are unflavored; They can be taken without water so are very convenient.

Cons: Rather lengthy method of directions for their use before they become effective; You’ll need quite a few tablets just to begin the process of feeling better while other medications need 1 or 2 pills at most.

8 tablets are taken in the 1st hour of use (2 every 15 minutes) followed by 2 tablets every 6 hours thereafter. That being said – I got a summer cold which allowed me to put these to the test. I was impressed that they dissolved easily and didn’t have a bitter, unpleasant taste.

I received a free box of 20 meltaway ColdCalm tablets from PinchMe to review. There are several things that I like about the tablets. I like that they have a pleasant taste that is just slightly sweet but not like candy.

I like that they dissolve quickly. I really like that they are non-drowsy because when I have cold, sinus, or allergy issues, I do not have the luxury of falling asleep due to medications. I like that they are made with natural ingredients, so I know exactly what I am taking.

Once the disease process has progressed and symptoms are more advanced, it is not as effective but does seem to shorten the duration/lessen symptoms. I knew, though, that my dad and late grandfathers relied on them for relieving cough and cold symptoms, and that they work for me as well, though I do not have hypertension. Reading more on the Coricidin website, I learned that many of us should be opting for this cold treatment, as about 45 percent of Americans have hypertension.

Not just any cough and cold formula will do, as a decongestant ingredient common in these can boost already high blood pressure, raising the risk of damage to many organs in the body. I recently had the opportunity to try a dose of Coricidin HBP Cough Cold when I came down with a case of “the crud,” i.

e. a runny nose and cough, possibly from the ensuing throat irritation. I felt reasonably quick relief, which I attribute to the antihistamines in Coricidin. By the next morning, I felt like myself again and well on my way to better comfort.

Only limited use so far, but very happy with my purchase thus far. From the big bold buttons to the easy to use menus and of course the call blocker function, at the price I paid this is great for a landline phone.

It’s mains powered, but in the event of a power cut, it seems to be possible to make and receive calls only (nothing which needs the screen) which is fine for me. One note of caution is that callers not in your address book on the phone will get a message, which may put some genuine callers off.

The call blocking can be turned off if need be, e. g. until you have typed in all the numbers for your friends and family etc.

This phone is very well featured and comprehensive in most ways. However it was purchased to replace a BT Relate which had suddenly failed. The Relate had a brilliant backlit display which is sadly missing from the Decor 2600.

This means that unless in a brightly lit location it is very difficult to read the number of an incoming call. One small niggle is that the number of characters available for inputting names to numbers in the directory is rather limited resulting in some often amusing abbreviations.

The Relate had one other useful feature which was to associate distinctive ringtones with numbers, which is missing from the Decor. Otherwise I am very pleased with the phone. I guess these shortcomings are the result of cost cutting measures in order to remain competitive or possibly because the market commonly demands cordless phones these days.

That’s a shame really because for example, one advantage with this phone is that it will continue to work through a power cut, unlike it’s cordless competitors. Give it a go though it’s a good phone.
