I’ve used about 100 of these screws so far. Rest assured, they are great screws. A little on the soft side but use the right size screw driver (P2 with a dull tip) and you won’t have any issues. All the negative reviews are from people who bought the wrong thread screw.

Don’t give one star because YOU bought the wrong product. Regarding the user Chris. that dude definitely was using the wrong threaded screw. I once broke off a couple heads because the rack was threaded for 10/32 and I didn’t notice.

In my defense, the guy before me used 12/24 for all the other gear (what an idiot) and I went off the existing 12/24 screws. Chris most certainly was trying to use the wrong type of screw in the wrong type of rack.

PROS: Cheap Good finish Reusable if you want to Good for aluminum 2 post racks and with cage nuts in 4 post racks CONS: A bit soft. if you use a sharp screw driver that barely hits then they’ll strip a bit.

Received a package each of the 10/32 and 12/24 rack screws (Quantity per pack 50). The price was right but it turned out that the screws are not functional. PROS: Attractive low price. CONS: The heads on the screws are way too small.

They are the size of a regular phillips screw. Normal typical rack screws have an over sized phillips head in order to support and stabilize heavy items on the rack, such as a power amplifier. It would be acceptable if the screws had enclosed black washers, but black washers are not included or available.

Avoid these screws! I recently loaded up a telco rack using them and they are very soft, cheap metal. Not only do the heads strip easily, they sheared completely off FOUR TIMES, leaving me with 4U of unusable rack space.

I’ve been racking and stacking equipment for 15 years and never had this problem before, so it’s not a case of user error. I double checked the rack threading and was not over-torquing the screws. Save yourself the frustration and buy quality hardened rack screws.

PROS: Cheap. CONS: Soft metal not only strips easily but heads shear completely off.

Works great with my Senco Dura Spin gun. So much quicker putting up drywall. Well worth the extra couple bucks over regular screws and gun.

I’ve yet to use it. Plan to use it on my next renovation project. Just couldn’t turn down the good deal. Wanted to have it ready when I need it.

Upon many projects I have struggles find and fastener that was superior! The bite and Lockup. plus the no drag no resistance design has led me to a standard of being able to defy the laws of wood in Florida.

You need restraint. This is the Pinnacle Fastener for anyone that want s the best and wants Longevity. I could add some photos of Fence, huge archways with massive chunks of wood. The wood is only as good as the fastener.

These things are the nutz! With structural lumber nowadays, you can’t count on 1 in 10 2x4s being straight. These screws make great clamps when sistering/straightening structural elements ’til you can hit it with the nail gun, then just remove ’em for the next use! Also they’re easier to use than lag screws – no pilot or counter bore holes necessary.

A friend of mine does salt storage buildings for a living and turned me onto these – they’re great! Now if we could just get ’em a little cheaper.

The GRK RSS fasteners are excellent. We use them exclusively now to attach deck ledgers to buildings and to construct support beams as well as railing posts. They install easily, the heads don’t cam out and they even look good if left exposed.

These are the best rack screws I have ever used! They hold your stuff in your rack and they don’t think about doing anything else! They won’t leave you high and dry in the backseat of a taxi in some town you’ve never been to, trying to find a hookup! They won’t call you 5 hours before an important meeting to let you know they have herpes.

I use Rack units in my guitar Rig, my backup rig, my practice rig and my recording studio, as well as PA/Mixer. In total I have 4 separate rack cases in use right now and about to buy a fifth. As of right now My rack spaces added up total 56 rack spaces and ready to add more.

These worked perfectly, absolutely no issues and they look great. This is why I am buying the same product. There was absolutely NO CROSS THREADING as someone else had claimed, sorry but I had to say it.

These Rack Screws look good and I really like the cup-style washers, but the Phillips slots strip / round out VERY easily – even with the drill clutch set low. Probably one-time use for me.

This is a great and simple device to ease the fitting of your TV mount on a timber stud partition. Once I found the studs, the adapter was up in a few minutes, and the Thin mount was installed even faster.

Be aware, though, that it does make your Thin mount not so thin.

Conceptually, this is a very good product, it has a fairly significant issue. As with many tirx head screws, the metal composition is a little soft for the application. I had issues with the heads of a significant number of them (about 15%) stripping off, either forcing me to remove it and use a new fastener or, in one case, actually drill the fastener out enough that I could plug the hole and insert a second fastener next to it.

It would be nice if these fasteners were tough enough to handle the torque of a power driver when screwing into pressure-treated pine joists under the AZEK boards. They are also very expensive, at almost $0.

Terrific product. Definitely pre-drill Trex with 7/32 drill bit if you are screwing / fastening to old framing members. Make sure you use sufficient downward pressure on drill motor to drive screw until it disengages from supplied bit to achieve proper counter sink depth for plug.

Select plug with proper color and possible grain match place in counter sunk hole, align grain with Trex grain and hit with a hammer until flush with the top of Trex.

Just started buying items from DIY for rebuilding a deck. From what I have seen their prices are very competitive and I had no problems with finding the items I wanted and getting them delivered on time.

The cortex screws I have not tried out yet but I assume they will be fine.

Senco makes a solid screw. Typical two-stage exterior-grade coating and type 17 point perform well; lacks extras like shank splines and underhead nibs (which help prevent splitting and overtensioning).

Square drive works fine, and bits are commonly available (advantages of other drive recess types in collated guns are overstated, in my experience). Can’t beat the price and availability. Not the fanciest, but a good value choice.

It works great, the issue I have is with the automatic feed dril; I need strips to place my own screws in case I ran out of collated screws. Where can I purchase those strips?

I purchased these screws for a large deck project at my home for use with a Senco Screw gun. I’ve just gotten started but love how easy they are to use versus loose screws. Plus they are a lot more economical.

I got them on sale, but it works out to about 4 cents a screw, whereas the same loose screws at HD are about 11 cents each.

Excellent product. Used them on deck outer joists. I used 5/16 ones to hold railing posts. Highly recommend them for where extra support is required.

These drywall screws are nice so far. The quality of each one is great and they are made with quality materials. They are also durable, which is a good thing when it comes to these kinds of products.

The packaging they come in is easy to open too, and they are packaged in it nicely. The ends are super sharp though, which they need to be, but be careful when you reach in to get one out. The size of these screws are nice too.

They are the perfect size for putting into the wall. They are just the right length and each one is strong. Getting it into the wall each time is easy too. All you need is a flat head screwdriver. They twist in easily which I like as well.

Decent drywall screws, seems tad bit light but seems to be holding up strength wise, head not stripping and driving in with ease into a typical 2 x 4 wall stud. I did notice the screw gets really hot when driving in and needing to back out.

I found this out while performing this action, grabbing with my fingertips to reposition. Though, no idea if this heat has any effect on the screw strength, meaning softing of the screw material. Ovreall a solid choice for those home drywall hanging projects.

I often use these screws for various projects I work on. Not just sheet metal. They work well for that. But they also work well for building various wood project items. The phillips bit I use on my drill fits perfect in these screws.

The finish on the screws is very nice black. They go into most woods I use very easily. They are strong and do not bend or break.

Quality product. Hard to find size in my area. Nice to find a supplier that carries it in this quantity pack. Don’t need contractor size of 5200! Reasonable price and free shipping!!

Have used many types and sizes of GRK fasteners, and like nearly all of them. Exception is any #8 or smaller screws, as the small star drive bits are not that durable. But for the #9 and larger screws, especially the RSS screws with the washer heads, the drive sockets/bits are fine.

Have never broken one off, never had any splitting because the zip-tip self-drills the pilot hole. Only drawback is price, but if you can find them discounted they can be a great deal.

I really like these screws! The Torx head really holds when you’re driving them in. The cutting tip and sharp threads allow them to penetrate various woods with ease. I have however noticed that you still get a few bent ones now and again.

Hence the 4 stars.

I’m using these in an SKB guitar rack. They fit perfectly and are easy to snap into place or remove. Screw heads are adequate and haven’t rounded off. But the PRICE?! Considering that most hardware like nuts, bolts, screws, nails etc.

are extremely cheap to make, the markup on these must be above 95%. Unfortunately you won’t find these anywhere else for cheaper. I’ve docked 2 stars on cost alone.

I would rate these a 5 since they are perfectly fine in construction, black to match my rack and have a washer built in. However, they lack a single feature: a smooth tapered tip to make screwing in flawless.

Unfortunately I read an article on the topic by some kind of IT snob with enough experience to know what perfection is, but too late for me. I went through most of two packs of 50 on a 9U rack because I replaced a lot of chrome or otherwise unsuitable nuts that came with the installed equipment.

I also highly recommend a plier type installation tool for the nuts. (Deluxe Cage Nut Insertion/Extraction Tool ).

I used these tamper resistant screws to secure the lockable enclosure cover hinges. With the enclosure locked, it is not possible to remove the screws that hold the hinges.

Need additional support in the box corners. Screws were falling out of one corner. This occurred when two boxes were taped together. Also, the two boxes were very heavy. Do not tape boxes together.

Exactly what I needed to attach the base to my main TV (I lost the original screws when it was taken apart to mount on a wall).

Been using senco screw strip for a year minimal jams compared to a Pam screw gun Ordered on line and they came fax packaged well.

It cut my time in half by using the Power screw driver. The Senco Screws made the installation and faster and perfect to install. I’ve added CPO outlet to my favorites.

If you’re into model railroading these are a must to have along with the stainless steel nuts offered on E-bay. This and other small screws, washers, and nuts are needed when building a project in model railroading including restoration of locomotives.

I’ve used many of these and I have re-ordered a few time. I’m sure other hobbies require small fasteners when building something. I usually order one size and custom cut them to required length with a Dremel cut-off wheel.

The material and machining of these screws is very good. My only complaint is that they are a tad shorter than 5/16 – closer to 9/32, which may not seem like much but can make a difference when you are trying to size the screw for a blind hole like I was.

But I don’t know that the tolerance is any worse than any other bulk screw. Still a good screw.

For anyone restoring vintage electronics, a sweet stash of pan head machine screws #4-40 is a must have. Not readily available in renovation centers and becoming ever rare in specialty shops; good thing we can still have them on here.

These are not only great for drywall but just about any project really. They are the duck tape of screws. Lol. I really only use them on the inside projects.
