Great set of screwdrivers for all gunsmith needs. Quality at a good price too. I bought a Forster screwdriver set many, many years ago. Unfortunately I loaned them out recently, and they didn’t “return.

” So I ordered a new set. and my buddy will be so happy he bought me a new set of Forster’s! These area really good item to have in your home gun shop.

Excellent high-quality hollow ground screwdrivers. My only wish is that they would be available in other blade thicknesses and widths. This set beats other brands of precision interchangeable screwdriver sets where the bit attachment on the screwdriver gets in the way or is too large to pass through and opening.

I was hesitant about spending this much on a screwdriver set but they are worth every penny, they fit solid in the screws and if they don’t then you are using the wrong size..well worth it

I was looking for a set of Precision sized screwdrivers to use on a laptop that I needed to replace a laptop hard drive with and this set worked perfectly. They are compact and sturdy. I have added it to my computer repair kit bag, and they work great.

So much better than a set of eyeglass screwdrivers. So glad that the store had them in stock.

I needed a small Phillips screwdriver to change the battery in the key fob remote for my Honda. This set has 2 sizes of Phillips– the smaller one was perfect! I’m sure that I will find uses for the flat head and larger Phillips now that I have them.

Stanley name– know these will stay nice for a long time.

My son was always borrowing my identical set so I got him one of his own for Christmas. He looked truly excited to receive it, and he has been using it already. The online price was cheaper than the marked price at the store.

Mentioned it to the clerk and she gave me the cheaper price.

This Stanley tool kit has a plastic case and 6 screwdrivers that are not often needed but are vital to some DIY jobs. It is a permanent and super-welcome resident in my desk! When I need a jeweler’s screwdriver, this set can’t get lost.

I use it every few years to install a new battery in my car’s electronic “key. ” The case is large enough to stay visible and it protects the screwdrivers from dirt and loss. The screwdrivers are well made and tough, with swivel heads that make life easier in use.

I think they are also slightly magnetic, which helps avoid losing screws. Top grade!.

I purchased this item directly from Home Essentials Direct, not a third party, after searching on “tiny phillips screwdriver” on Home Essentials Direct and looking at all offerings. As this was called a “Jewelers Precision” set, and from reviews, it looked the most likely to have a Phillips head small enough to remove the tiny screws from my camera that needs inside-lens cleaning.

Both Phillips screwdrivers were way too big for the job for which they were purchased. The Stanley’s packaging box only says “Precision Screwdriver Set”. Nowhere does it say “Jewelers”. I feel this was misrepresented in the listing.

I tried to return the set within five days but it isn’t returnable. There was a link to Home Essentials Direct’s return policies, but I couldn’t find anything in them to explain why this isn’t returnable, nor could I find anything about “no returns” in the item listing.

It looks like a sturdy set, but isn’t what I need, nor could the phillips drivers be used on jewelry requiring a tiny phillips head. This is the first time I’ve been so disappointed in Home Essentials Direct.

I have bought three sets of these as gifts, I like mine so much. The secret to them being superior is the hardened blades, I have never had one bend or twist like so many others on the market. a good investment.

The plastic case isn’t great, the hinge is prone to breaking, but a rubber band cures that problem. It is amazing how often one needs one of these, many items require removing a tiny screw to change the batteries.

This is a must have tool for the household.

I had a tip break. I’ve never had that happen in a hand tool, even with a 10 year old super cheap Stanley set. I think the mass production process for the magnetic tips weakens the materials. I had metal from the tips strip of on some of the philips heads also.

Regardless, I will be replacing the whole set. IMO Screwdrivers should mess up the screws, not the other way around. Definitely below Dewalt standards.

I really wanted to like these. Different colors on the handles show which tip it has. Grooved tips to help flat blade stay in a screw. But after only three years to of the flat tips have broken off, and one of the Phillips tips is rounded out and I have not been cruel to these.

I’ve used them mostly for electrical panel work, and a bit of automotive work. The way the grooves are cut into the flat tips must make them very weak. After only three years, I’m here today to replace these tools already.

I was a little hesitant in my purchase of this screwdriver set primarily because of the low price. Although not a professional, I appreciate high quality tools. When I received this set I was immediately impressed.

These are obviously not entry level, cheap tools. The grips are a soft rubber texture that affords a positive grip. The driver tips are hardened and provide a very good seat. The screwdrivers were advertised as to have magnetic tips, although I have found them to be very marginal.

All in all I am happy to add these to my tool collection. These are very good quality for the price and should meet the needs of almost any home owner or even a professional contractor.

I’ve had this set on my watch list for literally years, and finally decided to buy it. I have many screwdriver and bit sets, some cheap, some name brand, but this is by far and away the best of them.

The problem with many others is that they have a single, or perhaps two, width/thickness bits for a given size. This ends up with you using too small a blade on a large screw with a thin slot, and when you have one that fits it may be too narrow and leave slop in the engagement with the screw.

The Wheeler set eliminates that with its wide variety of width and thickness selections. I’ve already used it on a couple of items where it was a joy to get a perfect fit and not worry about buggering up a tight screw.

This 89 bit set has a variety of specialized firearms bits and if you don’t need those then the 79 piece version of this is all you’ll need, though you don’t save all that much money. Highly recommended!!.

I was constantly looking for screwdrivers to work on some of my guns. I had purchased several sets of the computer repair screwdrivers but as you get older the arthritis gets worse and you could never get enough pressure on the computer screwdrivers.

With this set it is a pleasure working on my guns. Whenever I purchased a car I always threw the piece of junk aluminum ratchet away and would go and buy a heavy duty bar or x ratchet. The first time you change a tire you appreciate having good tools.

Same thing with these. Changing grips on a Colt is truly a job for the mentally insane considering their design. Although still a pain these screwdrivers make it a lot easier.

This set cost a handsome price, and for that price it has some features that indicate the designer never tried to use it. The bits fall out of one of the screwdrivers. That is beyond annoying. The plastic holder is too tight in some areas and I end up disturbing other nearby bits when I have to apply excessive force to remove or place one bit.

Its selection is good for sizes of flat blades of varying thicknesses and widths. Torx and hex selections are limited. If I had to shop again I would spend more, probably over $100, on one from a name brand gunsmithing catalog.

Seems you get what you pay for in these sets, and good tools are expensive. The quality of the bits is decent, but the screwdriver handles could stand improvement, as could the container. Better and more complete torx and hex bits would keep me from having to run to my garage for my more complete sets of both.

The first time you use a cheap slotted screwdriver that isn’t hollow-ground and doesn’t have a perfectly fit bite on your 1911 grips screws, you’ll wish you bought these quality tools. I have bought several tools from Wheeler Engineering over many years, and like all the rest this set is money well spent!.

The case is much better than the blow moulded grey item pictured, and is now a two piece solid plastic unit with proper hinges and sliding locking catches. Highly recommended for many types of fasteners with tips held my a small magnet in the handle.

My tiny magnet required a spot of glue to hold it in the handle, but is fine now. A great kit.

Was looking for a new driver set. I am disappointed with this one. The different bits are nice, but the handle is cheap and not any good. When working with small screws you need a good magnet. This handle does not have that.

I contacted the company that distributes these about the fact it had no magnet. They were nice enough to send me a new handle. However the magnet in the new handle is not even strong enough to pick up and hold small screws.

They tried, but it doesn’t work. In fact, the new handle they sent me when I tried to use it the first time the tiny little magnet fell out of the handle. So, to me it is not worth the money. If it wasn’t for the fact I’ve tried to use this set for 4 months without luck I would return it to Cabela’s for a refund.

But I no longer have the order paperwork from them. I’m out the money and looking for a better set of drivers.

Well, honestly, if I were a professional gunsmith then this would probably not be my main set of tools, but it would definitely be on my bench for quick jobs, and it is a great set for the workbench of any amateur gunsmith or do-it-yourselfer.

It has most everything that is needed for quick work without having to go to a specialized set, and I really like the size because it can be dropped into the range bag for a trip to the. range! Also will be at hunting/fishing camp and anyplace else I might need a tool for field adjustments, tightening, or changes or repairs.

Perfect size and perfect assortment of tools that are easily at hand when needed. I like it a lot.

The Winchester name is just that, a name. It has nothing to do with quality that we expect from Winchester. But I knew that when I made the purchase. The screwdriver bit set is fine for what it is. The quality remains to be seen through use.

I will say this from first hand experience, the screwdriver handle appears to be well made, but I inserted a toolbit and it snapped in smartly to the shank. Here is the problem, when I pulled out the tool bit, the magnet base came out stuck to the bit.

Does not appear to have any type of adhesive and fastening device to hold in the magnet. Certainly an easy fix to reset the magnet, especially since I did not lose it. Of course, if it had gotten lost, the screwdriver handle would be next to useless with these tool bits.

This is a common complaint, as you read the reviews, but the tool set looks pretty good and is priced right. Just fix the magnetic base before you use the tools and you will have a pretty good value.

This little set comes in handy as a back-up to put in an outfit. There is a good selection of heads for an emergency when at a shoot, etc. I was a little dismayed when I put some hard pressure on a smaller head and it bent.

It showed the metal quality was soft. However, the job got done and I think the value is there for the money.

Small enough box to carry the complete set to the gun range in my range box! A good variety of bits of most types used for hand gun or rifle disassembly or assembly. I plan on keeping the set together in the original plastic box case.

And very reasonably priced. If you have very large hands the bit holder might feel small, but for anyone with normal sized hands, it’s good! With a comfortabe grip.

Every time I see someone use a regular household screwdriver on a vintage tool or firearm I cringe. This is the perfect set for those of you who know better. Money very well spent. These screwdrivers are properly machined to keep from stripping out your flat head screws and fit very well with a square shoulder to the slotted screw.

The handles are nice in that they wont roll off your bench with the flats they’ve designed. Timeless design.

The screwdrivers are well made & work as intended. If you have nice guns & perform routine maintenance or more serious gun work, these are the correct tool for the job. They’re hollow ground tips & fit perfectly, so you don’t mess up your gun.

Overall, they’re very well made from handle to tip. These are far better than cheap screwdrivers sold at China-mart. If you have some good old USA steel & wood, get these USA made tools.

I thought they were larger. They didn’t work for the application I purchased them for. Why would I buy these when I have loads of hollow ground precision screwdrivers. I needed GUNSMITH screwdrivers.

bought it as a gift for someone else and they loved the larger wooden handles, the quality, and that it was made in the US.

Fantastic set of screwdrivers ! GREAT QUALITY ! These will come in handy in a BIG way. If these don’t tighten up those loose screws on my glasses , NOTHING WILL. These appear to be very rugged and will dish out the pain on screws.

There are a few pieces that I may never use like the flex shaft, and you dare not put too much torque on the T handle as I am pretty sure the T part is all plastic. Most of the time though I am not doing crazy tight fasteners and this is a nice assortment and it even comes in a handy case.

About the same quality as the low priced tool kits and they are IMHO fantastic for a home owner or a casual mechanic. If I ever see them for $29 again I am going to grab one for every car. These are like that.

For the price they are good to have under the seat. It is funny when I go to work on a mower or something I grab this box, my socket box, and a set of wrenches. And on a couple of occasions I have used the neon light screwdriver for checking if a line was hot or what side of an outlet was hot.

I bought this set specifically for the flexible bit holder for a project that had an impossible to reach screw. It was able to reach the screw, but it would only work to take the screw out. Putting the screw back in, the center of the bit holder unraveled and came apart.

As I live an hour away from the store, I fixed it with a tack weld and continued my project. It broke again in a different spot before my job was finished. The rest of the set is more cheaply made than I’ve come to expect from HF tools.

At the $8. 99 price point, it just isn’t worth the money for this set.

I did like the ease of use from retaining carrier. I was looking for more tip types and was sad to see same variation of #’s 2/3/4 tips , couple Hex and no Torx bits. I think I would have liked to see 3 or 4 Torx bits in the mix on tips.

Less straight bits would also work. Even adding blank spaces might be another option. I am a senior manufacturing engineering tech. Been working in tooling / automation since 1977. No instruction on using the test light !.

I have three different sets of these, well made and fit the intended item. They are brittle and will break, not meant for applying a lot or torque to screws. I have had two break so far but the company will replace them with no questions asked or to return the broken one.

Both of mine have broken trying to loosen a screw and not tighten one. I will send both back to see if there was a hardness issue with the broken ones. Still highly recommended and have a great warranty.

Precision ground and the wood handle is easy to grip.

Grace screwdrivers are always high quality. I have two sets already, but no gun specific sets. I am as pleased with these as my other Grace products. The screwdrivers fit the slots in colt single action like they should, preventing damage to slots.

A lot of value for your money.

Screw driver blade tips fit the Peacemaker screws well. As with any specialty screwdrivers you need to ensure proper seating of the blade in the screw head slot and use reasonable force to avoid damage to the screw heads or the screw driver tips.

I love this screwdriver set I use them in the automotive field for brake rotor retaining screws. In the rust belt they are literally the best way to get these stuck screws out however they don’t hold up long at all.

I’m on my 5th set purchased now because the Philips tip always shatters. I don’t have much use for the slotted would be nice to see these sold in singles. Curious what the limited lifetime warranty contributes too.

If you look up the tech specs it will show that the package quantity States 2 x 2 piece set. I found them cheaper but didn’t order because I was thinking that I was getting two sets. Too good to be true beware!.

Great set of bits for those micro screws and parts that you may encounter while doing gunsmith work. The only downside are the bits are not magnetic. While dealing with small screws they have on occasion have a tendency to disappear.

A magnetic bit will keep the screw attached to the bit while work is being performed. Could easily have been five stars if the bits were magnetic.

The set is fine for the price, my biggest issue with it is that they made the driver handle so smooth, you cant put much torque on anything without your hand slipping. Im not concerned with torquing things down super hard, but getting a tiny screw out of a gun thats been in there a while is super difficult.

Also it would be nice if they included a 90° driver of some kind for adjusting triggers without taking the whole rifle apart. All in all, its alright, I would not purchase again though. Ive had waaay better luck with other wheeler products.

Needed small bits and seen micro set. Sold. Had a coupon code to make it 15 plus shipping? Don’t know if I would have bought it for 29. 99 though. fit the screws for red dot sight and small screws. Like it says micro set.

If the bit you need ain’t in here then it is probably some crazy screw.

This takes the place of a number of other tools, Torx, Allen, Phillips, Etc. It is lighter than the other tools together and the bits are easy to identify. The driver is magnetic to hold the bit. It is saving me space and weight plus they all are right there I do not have to go searching to find the right set of tools.

My range box is heavy enough.

Needed a small Torx tip and since this one had it plus extras I didn’t need at the moment, it was purchased. The extra tips are handy in case one gets lost, which seems to happen fairly regularly. They all seem to get found eventually, but having spares is a great stress reducer.

Same color allows the holder and handle to stay closer together in the toolbox.

So far this set has had a bit for anything that I needed to open up to clean. No bits have broken nor messed up any of the screws I’ve used it on. So I am happy with the purchase. The price was about 3 times what I found it for on other online stores but then there was the shipping charge with them so it was about the same price at Walmart with no shipping charges.

So I figured that if there was a problem with it, it would be easiest to return to Walmart.

The kit looks nice enough, but the quality of the bits is very POOR!! The metal has not been tempered properly and is soft. The very first time I used the set, I perfectly matched the bit for the size screw with special attention to the blade thickness as well as proper width.

I was attempting to remove a screw and it bent almost immediately. TOTALLY useless.

This 8-in-1 screwdriver set is great to have around the house for those quick jobs requiring a screwdriver. This set has most every size you could need, plus an awl & tack puller. I especially like the way the drivers fit into the handle & they lock into place too.

The handle is large & comfortable to your hands providing a super grip when using. Good quality set. Nice case too. Highly recommend!.

This is a very nice set to have, it’s very easy to change attachments however they do fall out easily. I have never had them fall out while using them but when handing them to someone or setting them down the attachments can fall out since there is no way to secure them.

Easy to use. Handle has easy soft grip and doesn’t hurt my hand. Love that it comes with different size bits to use with different size screws. This should help keep me from stripping screws. Also super convenient.

The only flaw is the plastic cover which is impossible to put on and take off.

It’s a decent enough set for my at home shop. All kinds of bits with easy access. It would be better if they could make the handles a little bigger, for a better grip. Also. having a symbol for what type of screw driver it is on the tip of the handle.

Great value for the price. This is a secondary set that I keep in the house so I don’t have to fetch a tool from the garage for a minor home repair. An amazing number of useful tools in a compact, convenient storage rack.

It sure is a lot of pieces . I got it on clearance for only 12.99. Not the most durable but 116 PIECES!!! Can’t beat it

I purchased these as an at home screwdriver set. They were inexpensive, but made in the USA, from a USA company. They do not disappoint. The handle are comfortable, the tips are strong. On day one they held up to 2 snowmobile carb rebuilds.

Carb cleaner, gasoline, and oil, the handles held up (of course my snap on hard handles melt a little under carb cleaner) The tips held up. I bought another set for the shop.

A great upgrade. Comfortable and can get great torque. They are oxide coated instead of chrome so they do try to rust slightly. I recommend wiping with oil and throwing a few silica packets in the box.

I highly recommend! Do not let the previous statement sway your opinions they are great.

Very good screw driver set. I actually bought two sets, one for work and one for home. They feel solid and have some weight to them. They have a good ergonomic design.

These are FAIR quality screwdrivers which are mainly a set for homeowners and DIYers. I would not recommend for contractors or industrial use but for private use I can not complain. The metal seems to be holding up to the abuse I am giving it and I am not nice to my tools so that is saying something (I used the flathead to pry out fencing staples due to being too lazy to grab my fencing pliers) and the handles seem high enough quality to keep up.

The review about hollow handle and the screw driver tip sliding into the handle i don’t know what to say to that, I plunged 1 of the Phillips through a piece of sheet metal and stuck it into the wood behind it just to try to get it to do that and than smacked the handle with a hammer to the point I needed a pry bar to get it back out.

I think you got a dud sir. Will but again when I am in need of a new set but for professional grade will stick with kleins solid handle screwdrivers. They are a bit more expensive but on a job I don’t take risks.
