20 Best Screwdriver Set For Electronics (2023 Updated)

I needed a small Phillips head screwdriver to remove the back from an Apple Macbook so I could perform a memory upgrade for a friend. I considered cheaper tool sets, but they all had at least one bad review, so I decided to go first class, since it doesn’t make sense to use cheap tools with an expensive computer.

I am so glad I did. And now I have quality tools to work on any computer/cell phone on the market. I love my Klein tool kit and the case with the spring-loaded lock is especially nice. My father always used to say that going first class was usually cheaper in the long run and I have learned from experience that he was right.

I’m a Commercial HVAC Controls technician. I picked this kit up to toss in my laptop bag to replace the 32500 11-n-1 and the 32581 4-n-1 that I normally carry. While they weight about the same, the ability to have a much wider range of bits comes in really handy, especially for thermostats that have the 1/16″ set screws! It’s great to be able to go from a large Philips to a small flat-blade screwdriver without having to physically change tools; just swap in a new bit! The small space below the driver handle storage also lets me keep extra set screws & etc handy.

The spring-loaded slide lock latch keeps the container from opening in my bag! Also being an ET (Electronics Tech) I can easily disassemble items in the field to see why they failed or repair them! My only complaint the the screwdriver barrel itself, which feels like aluminum and not steel like other multi-bit drivers.

though I haven’t rounded it out yet.

This little thing is great for just about everything. I don’t recommend putting a lot of side pressure as the handle isn’t the strongest and it will break. However once I replaced it I had no issues.

Great for any small place you need and it can extend for those deep hard to reach spots.

Well, this is my third iFixIt kit and everything I can say, it is really the most complete kit of screwdrivers I and my dad, grandpa or anyone from my family ever had. I like everything in it, the screwdriver handles are fantastic, the big one is very grippy, it’s big and has nice tactile feelings.

As of the small screwdriver, it’s also grippy, with nice tactile feelings and overall both of them are great drivers to have. Bits are from S2 steel and some of them are Chrome-Vanadium ones, the are very high quality, and they definitely not going to worn off any time soon.

Just every bit that can theoretically need in my life is in this kit. Also, a very nice thing to give as a gift. Cheers and happy Hollidays!!.

I was looking for the best set of bit drivers I could find for my RC Tank hobby, due to the different types of fasteners used on them. This fit the bill perfectly, the drivers were very high quality which caught me off guard.

The diversity of bits in this kit are amazing, it had me researching different fasteners because some of the bits in this kit I have never seen before. So far I have used this kit for two PC builds and various other tasks outside the main purpose.

I have been telling all my family and friends about how well made these kits are made and seem like they would last a lifetime if properly taken care of. So if you are reading through reviews to make your determination in purchasing this kit, I would highly suggest that you pull the trigger.

I bought a small set of Klein brand screwdrivers from the local Home depot that I work for. I have owned them a couple years now and wow, what a great set of drivers they have been! My first experience with Klein tools however began many, many years ago when my father retired from one of the big three auto makers.

He was in final assembly and had his own tool box. As the tradition goes in final, when you retire you got to keep your toolbox. As part of that box were slew of very nice insulated Klein screwdrivers! I have been using these same screwdrivers for many years on everything from automotive applications to Gun Smithing! These boys really shine however when working on electronic applications.

Out of all of these Klein screwdrivers, only one of them has ever failed on me, and it’s failure was 100% my fault. Even than it wasn’t a loss as I re ground the tip and made a gunsmithing tool out of it! The bottom line here is that I own many old Klein tools, and even a few newer ones as well! They all work just as they were intended to! I also dont see any difference in quality between the old stuff and the new stuff.

Many manufacturers cheapen things up over time however as far as I can see this is not the case with Klein. Thank you for making great tools!.

These are comfortable to hold, strong, and have excellent tips for gripping the screw. I got tired of inferiors screwdrivers (esp phillips head) that just get chewed up at the tip. I went and looked more online for brands that professionals rated as best and this brand kept coming up in mentions as well liked.

Now I see why. Ive purchased these now in many sizes and have been throwing out my older, poorly made or machined screwdrivers. Really happy with these.

I bought this, along with a T25 screwdriver, for tightening the last little bit of screws after running them down with my impact driver. The #2 bit of this tool, with the length, accesses kreg pocket holes.

I always worry that using a drill or impact driver will over drive the screws in and prevent a good joint. This alleviates that worry. I wouldn’t necessarily run the screw in completely by hand, but I’d use this for the last 1/4 turn worth to snug it down.

Same goes for the T25 I bought (different brand) for construction screws. Klein makes good tools at a cost. I’d recommend spending the money on good tools rather than paying twice for a crap tool and then a good tool.

Picked this up new for a cracking price. Its great to have a wide range of screwdrivers on hand. That said, the set really needs a 1mm flathead otherwise happy.

Excellent piece of kit

This is a nice set for anyone with a pocket knife collection. You have most of the tiny Torx drivers you will need for the screws. There is a nice coating applied to the tips for enhanced durability.

They are a quality set for the price. Shipping was fast and I had them within a week. Overall, I am very pleased with this Wiha Torx set.

Great quality as always from Wiha. Great little set had everything I needed for the job and then some. Very good retention. Needed to remove some tiny machine screws in my Gerber knife. Performed the job flawlessly, without a slip or hitch.

I work in aeronautics for the leading defense contractor in the world and know high-quality tools. I bought this set and the accompanying bag for simple personal use; I have a great many folding knives and rifle scopes and pistol parts that use small Torx screws and using an inferior bit or driver is maddening.

I’ve brought this set to work and shared it among my gun and knife buddies for similar uses and all agree that this driver is well made and well designed. One of the best kits for precision work. Was in the market to getting a tri-tip screw bit to work on some game boy advance cartridges. Decided to give this kit a try after hearing all the rave reviews and it sure lives up to it’s reputation! The case is made from high quality plastic that has strong magnets that keep the top and bottom portions together.

(It’s easy to open on that note as well) The high density foam keep all the bits neatly organized and it even has little imprints on it telling you which bit belongs in the slot. It can be a little hard to read if you have trouble seeing up close.

The screw body itself is nicely weighed and makes it a breeze screwing and unscrewing smaller screws and such. Haven’t had any issues tackling any of the jobs I put it through. No bending or deforming the bits.

It’s got pretty much all the bits in their shapes and sizes for any small job task you throw at it. I feel like this will continue to serve me for a very long time. I would venture to say it might be a ‘buy it for life’ type of product!.

I’m giving it five stars, but it’s not perfect. My IT office uses this and it’s overkill for us. The driver is very nice, it’s better than most tools I own. The case is magnetic which is amazing. The extension is very durable and can be used for anything where you need a little bit of a reach.

The bits are very quality and all labeled on the bit which is very helpful for identifying them if they were to fall out. It’s also just a pretty good value for what you’re getting. The cons: For one, if you’re getting this to repair all of your electronic gear, you should know it does not have a small enough size for a Samsung Galaxy active 2 smartwatch.

Two: I would say this is not A large enough set for someone like a jeweler. With that said, this will be a outstanding set for anyone working on computers or hobbyists.

I have an awful lot of screwdrivers, from various brands, in my toolbox. but these are the ones I usually grab for any fine work. They aren’t huge drivers, but they are so nicely made and grab fasteners so well.

Another great detail: see those red caps on the end of the screwdriver? They can rotate. which means you can hold pressure on the end of the driver to prevent what engineers call “cam-out” (where the screwdriver twists out of the screw), without the end of the driver bothering your palm.

Best in the business. Glad Office Depot carries them. Must have if you do any low voltage electrical work. They are Wiha so they are well built. The package (poly pack) is poor quality. Wish they came in a sturdier case or better cloth pouch.

Grip is great and size is great. My previous set lasted me 18+ years. Hoping this will do the same. Wish Office Depot would carry the ESD version of this set.

I was impressed to see klein come out with this idea to meet the needs of electronic terminal block sizes and was ready to use this as soon as I got it! It fits right in the shirt pocket without sticking out too much or in too far, would like to see a shirt pocket clip on the handle to ensure not to lose the screwdriver easily when bending down.

It is useful for the sizes of screws that I dealt with on a daily basis which makes it a plus in my book, but with any multi-tool driver the the parts would get lost somewhat easier than most. I would find myself going back to equipment looking for the small reversible driver stuck in the screw terminal after noticing it gone when I took it out to use.

The locking bearing to keep the reversible driver in the handle slot would somewhat weaken after usage and the drivers would be easily left at where I used it last if I wasn’t paying close attention to making sure it stayed in the handle.

Overall ok, useful tool, great idea, and good price but a pain to keep tract of the small reversible driver’s staying in the handle. Not sure if there are replacement drivers available like Kleins other multi-tool screwdrivers should you lose a side.

Klein has made good quality tools for years. This is a screwdriver that fits the small screws from cell phones to laptops. If you are a electronics repair person. This is the screwdriver you need in your arsenal.

It fits in your hand well. It’s not too big and bulky. It is small enough for delicate operations. The 4-in-1 allows you to switch tip sizes easily and quickly. If the tips get worn, you can order replacement tips.

You don’t have to buy a whole screwdriver. I recommend this screwdriver for the beginner, the novice, and the pro.

The way technology is moving with different fasteners, it’s handy to have 1 to do 90% of the small drivers in 1 tool. I can just slip it in my pocket and not have to drag my bag up the ladder. Thanks for making work a little more simpler.

Awesome tools and only ones I buy.

I love the design: silver cover, metal, pop out drawer, magnetic bits are well made. Small size fits in pocket or bag. Longer than a USB power station or 2. 5″ HDD but easy to store with them. I’ve been able to take this with me on NZ domestic aircraft because bit length is below the maximum allowable length.

I bought this set from PB Tech a while back, and I’ve been very pleased with how usable it is, and with how long it has lasted. Even the Apple-specific pentalobe bits have gone through several MacBook rebuilds and don’t look worn at all.

Brought this set to upgrade my pc. The material quality is great, the range of heads is excellent. Cannot undersell how useful the magnetic heads are for retrieving screws in awkward positions. Highly recommend.

I multi-craft as an Instrument Tech and a Electrical Tech, so these small electronics screwdrivers come in handy in both fields, whether I’m working on a valve positioner, setting the pots or setting up a VFD and setting those electronics.

I see how they have the 11-in=1, but the 4-in-1 was good enough for me, if the job gets any more precision and requires a special bit, I probably got it in my 106 pc special bit kit, but most pots are the small straight slot on the Klein 4-in-1.

Another thing about the Klein 4-in-1 is the ultra comfy cushion grip, you wouldn’t appreciate a cushion grip until your out on your tools all day for 12 hrs nonstop, most people wouldn’t understand, but I’m one of the few who can appreciate a cushioned grip on a screwdriver.

Turn about 150 screws straight in a row, I know your saying, “Use a drill”, but sometimes you just can’t get a drill in these small spaces and you have to land 150 pairs of wires to land, now what? Klein tools are built to take a punishment, the only time I’ve ever had to replace a Klein tool is if it was stolen, I lost it, the blade got ruined, or normal wear and tear took it out.

But, man, I love my Klein, “Tweeker” 4-in-1 screwdriver, it’s my go to loop calibrator screwdriver, valve positioner screwdriver, pot adjustment screwdriver, I to P adjustment screwdriver, and on and on and on.

I work on security and fire alarm systems for a living and this is hands down my go to tool for working with a variety of systems. I bought this a week ago to replace a hard drive in a laptop. This kit contained exactly the screwdriver I needed. The twist top makes it slightly easier to hold the screwdriver while twisting it. Not a fan of the color, but functionally this kit does the job.

I do a lot with screws as I avoid nailing when possible. Phillips screws are the most widely used so my #2 Phillips screwdriver gets a lot of use. I purchased this Klein #2 4 screwdriver to replace my Stanley Jobmaster that Ive had for probably thirty years, I took a picture and submitted it showing/comparing the two brands.

Amazingly they look and feel almost identical. The Stanley shank is slightly thicker, but Im hoping the Klein, for $9. 50 will last as long and will be well worth the price. Ive only used it a few times and it is very good, no camming out as it fits perfectly.

I haven’t actually used thie repair kit, yet, so I don’t have an opinion as yet. I intend using it for servicing model railway locomotives, plus a host of other electronic gadgetry used by railway modelers.

Great so far. The Handle feels cheap. The extension is built in and locks at intervals around 1 inch. The bit are easily removed from the holders. Most of the tools I was looking for were all in one kit.

It has been used daily and has been very handy for Cell and tablet repair.

Arrived and all in good order. One of the items doesn’t fit in the kit, which is a little silly. It should have it’s own pocket.

Professional handyman here. Compact, fairly good case (could be sturdier- it has to survive in my toolbox. ) Excellent selection of SMALL bits- 00 Philips, 0. 7mm hex, T4-20, etc. Includes flexible & straight extensions and a cute little magnifying glass- handy (used it once already), but likely to get scratched- I’ll get a little plastic bag for it.

Downside- bits are held by a little plastic chuck that has to be tightened on them. The chuck doesn’t have a positive stop, so the bits tend to slip into the handle- you have to stop, loosen the chuck, pull the bit out and retighten And the chuck jaws are plastic, so may not be durable- a small metal bit against a plastic jaw isn’t good.

Time will tell. All that said, so far I’m pleased and you can’t go too far wrong for $10.

I would’ve given this set 5 stars but I noticed that the chuck that holds the bit is plastic and is part of the handle casting. This will probably not be a problem because I don’t see myself really “crank’n down” on this driver.

But as far as long term durability. only time will tell. It’s very comfortable to use. The end cap of the driver’s body spins so you can easily drive screws using one hand. And there’s a really good selection of different bits.

With all that being said, I’m still happy with this purchase and would probably buy it again; given what I’m using it for. my hobbies.

As a Locksmith/Safecracker for over 48 years, I value the precision and quality of Willie Hahn tools. They have gotten into places and performed tasks that others weren’t up to. I’m only as good as my tools, and Wiha helps me be at the top of the game.

I purchased them because I needed More Useful ball hex drive tools than the Usual “bent key” kits. These drivers can get into “tight” places better than “normal” hex keys and, because of their handles, are easier to handle than “normal” hex keys.

I’m certainly glad I got them!.

I use these screwdrivers for terminating control wires on blocks out in the oilfield. I need good strong tools that can take a beating. Don’t like how the top of the screwdrivers fall off cus sometimes you can’t find them.

Great precision controls screwdrivers, very durable and reliable. Worth the extra dough over the cheaper stuff.

There were virtually no phillips head drivers. Not worth the price. There should have been at least two phillips drivers that corresponded in size to the two largest flat tip drivers.

Kit has lots of different bits to accommodate probably any smaller project especially taking factory made products apart for repairs. The tweezers are decent and the bit driver handle works well but seems a little cheap.

The case it all comes in is its downfall. It looks nice but some of the bits are loose and when trying to put them in there place it is hard not to knock other bits out of place and gets frustrating to keep it looking tidy.

But for the price it is a decent bit set with every type of small bit you would need.

I got this because it looked good, and when I got it, I was happy I did. Many tools in one, and elegantly arranged. It isn’t a perfect storage box, but it does the job as long as you don’t toss it around once opened.

Closed, it’s nice and secure, but once the pressure of the casing is off, things tend to jostle around. So, as I said, be careful, and things will stay in place.

This was the perfect set of tiny screwdrivers I needed to do some fine, detailed work. It’s not in English but I really don’t need a written direction telling me how to use them

For the price, I figured I would only get a few uses out of any of the pieces before they broke. After receiving it today I have to say that I am pleasantly surprised. Everything seems to be of decent quality.

It is not a “pro” set but I believe you get your money worth and more from this kit. But its a geat kit overall, the only reason I gave four stars was for two minor issues with the kit. The first being the 0.

8 pentalobe bit, it was actually just a hair too small and almost stripped the screws in the bottom of my iPhone 6s. I used another screwdriver from another kit to work around that one. The second issue was with the suction cup, it wouldn’t get enough suction to do anything, it literally wouldn’t even try to lift the phone, much less pull the screen away from the frame enough to slip a small pry tool in.

On the positive side, the magnet adapter is plenty strong, you have a large variety of picks, and whatnot, and I think this will become my go to kit moving forward. Just got to figure out a permanent fix for that pentalobe bit.

If you need quality tools for your repairs. GO FOR THIS KIT!.

I used to own an iFixit kit which was gradually dispersed over many years, so I replaced it with one of these which is just as good if not better. The (stainless or nickel plated steel?) Screwdriver a actually looks a little better.

My only word of caution is that the suction cup doesn’t look like it will work but I ordered a set of case seperating suction cup pliers when I ordered this, so with that I should be covered for most cell phone repairs.

Showed up really fast 4 days before I expected. It is exactly what I ordered not the extreme best quality but what do you expect from cheap Chinese manufacturing.

These are a great set of screwdrivers, comfortable handle, excellent fitting tips with grip, and a great storage rack to keep things organized. This is an exceptional set of screwdrivers for the money!.

For the price, this is actually a very nice precision tool kit. Plenty of bits for the average electronics hobbyist and not just for cell phone repair. The bit holders are tight and the bit driver is solid.

If the case were a little more rugged this would be perfect. In all, I cannot take away a star just on account of the case simply because again, the price!.
