20 Best Screen Tent With Floor (2023 Updated)

Tent is great for our family of 4. With other tents, the kids would always let bugs in by forgetting to close the door. With this tent, the hinged D door closes easily and velcros shut. The screened area is a useful spot for our gear and dog.

Setup, while more tedious than other tents these days, can still be done by one person in less than half an hour. The red tape used to identify the poles has come off of one though. The auto-rollup windows are a pretty cool feature, as well as the built in lighting.

The room divider is also useful to give some additional privacy with kids running around. It would have been nice if there were more hooks or loft shelves to store gear. The tent can also get pretty stuffy in direct sunlight.

It has rained a couple times and I haven’t seen any issues with water leaking into the tent, other than dampness due to leaving the windows opened. Overall, a great family tent.

was a little skeptical when buying this tent because it was so inexpensive compared to others similar in size. I’m so glad we bought it though! we took it camping for the first time and it was very easy to put up.

my husband and I got it up within 15 minutes. it’s so roomy inside! I like that there’s the options to create the “rooms” or leave it open. we left it open and it had plenty of room for our full size air mattress and two twin size pads for our kids, and suitcases.

the screen patio was great for coolers and shoes. I highly recommend this tent!!!.

If you have a family and you go camping for longer periods of time… For example, more than three or four nights at a time… I highly recommend this tent! The quality is amazing and the features are unique and desirable.

The netted little porch area you could say is awesome and such an asset. The space the stent provides is better than so many others we’ve tried over the years… We can stand up that’s awesome! Obviously, this one is going to take longer and more effort to put up and take down, which is the only reason for the four stars because clearly that part can be frustrating, especially if it rains and having to leave it out for drying etc.

and the space it can take up and the weight. However, saying all that and taking all that into account, this tent is amazing. As I was saying, if you are a big camper and your family goes often and for longer periods of time, it’s absolutely worth it.

After our last trip ended with our tent being filled to the brim with rain water, we decided to do some research on affordable water resistant tents. Eventually we settled on this one. That said, here are some pros and cons.

Pros: -Tall person friendly. The two of us are 5’3 and 6’1 and neither of us had to duck much -Nice views. You can unzip the windows for a panoramic view. -Roomy. We had space for a full size air mattress, all of our packs, cooler, lawn cart, 4 tier ferret cage, AND our other two friends on their camping chairs while it was raining and still didn’t have trouble maneuvering around.

-East setup and tear down. Tent poles are color coded to match the bands on the sleeves. With the two of us, it really only took a few minutes to get completely up. Tear down was just as fast and we were able to pretty easily fit the tent back into its bag.

-Keeps you dry! Our first outing with this tent saw us deep in the Missouri wilderness getting buckets upon buckets of water dumped on us. It started raining at 1am and didn’t fully stop until 2pm. After 13 solid hours of torrential rainfall, our tent was still almost completely dry.

Yes, if rain is pounding on your tent, it’s gonna get a little damp. We stuck a small hand towel in each of the corners to catch any water that may pool up– there wasn’t much, not enough to make the towels soggy.

Even the porch area, which lacks a tub floor, was relatively dry. It really only got wet from our shoes tracking in and out. Cons: -Rainfly needs reinforcing. This is actually my biggest gripe and a very simple fix for anyone handy with a sewing machine.

When we got this tent out for a pre-camping trial setup, we staked down the rainfly and a gust of wind came along and tore a section of the material. After inspecting it, I can say for certain that this happened because of the design.

At the very back of the fly, there is a guy line attached only to the fly’s bias whereas the others are all attached to the bias as well as a seam. All the lines attached at seams were sturdy and held without issue.

So I patched the rainfly and sewed the line back in place with a few layers of zigzag stitching and ironed on some heat bond. It held up great in the rain! *I contacted Coleman about the issue with the rainfly and they were quick to fix it for us.

Their customer service was great and I had a new product on my doorstep within 2 days! -Floor is a little delicate. We DID put this thing through the wringer, but we experienced a slight problem with camp chairs inside the porch area.

I placed my camp rug down inside the screened porch so our friends could bring their chairs in and sit while it was raining, but by the time they cleared out one of the chairs with pointy feet poked two holes in the floor.

Not a huge deal for us since it wasn’t in the actual tent, but a word of warning for anyone that plans on having pointed objects in theirs. -Center of rainfly tends to gather water. It eventually runs off but we decided to get up every few minutes to push the tent up so the water wasn’t standing just in case.

Not a huge deal but still a bit annoying. -Weak tent pegs. This should be a given for anyone with experience but those little pegs that come with all tents aren’t really the best. We used them for some sections but for the four corners of both the tent and the rainfly, we used stronger pegs.

-Windows on the sides can’t be opened in the rain. I suppose you CAN if you don’t mind getting wet, but I liked how you could open the back window during rain without getting soaked. If the side windows were protected by the rainfly the same way then you could.

Not so much a design flaw as much as it is a design preference. All in all, I would highly recommend this tent for someone who has beginner to intermediate camping experience.

I HATE how so many tents have the solid coverings to the windows on the outside – perverts dream. I should be able to close my windows for privacy, safety or weather without going outside. This tent has 3 huge windows and easy to use zipper closures inside the tent with 3 toggles across the top of each window to prevent the window fabric gapping.

CHECK! Why have a porch w/o a floor – bugs, snakes, spiders, etc – and many porch screens are sloped so the rain can easily come in and flood the covered porch area w/ or w/o a floor. This tent has a wonderful rain fly that covers the entirety of the porch and the porch itself has a drain of screen along the back.

CHECK! And speaking of the porch – It easily fits two lawn chairs and a small table to sit and enjoy the view bug free. CHECK! I don’t much get excited about gear lofts but this has several. BONUS! I really prefer help setting it up and taking it down BUT that being said it can be done in about 30 minutes by one person.

I’m a later middle aged woman so it’ll be under 30 minutes if your knees are spry and your back is nimble. CHECK! I may sell this one and go up to a 6 person – why? Because I like a tent to be a bit spacious like I am living in a van not my car.

But I may not, time will tell. Used several times this past summer (5 – 7 day stretches) and LOVE it other than wishing it had a couple more feet of space for me and my stuff. I’m counting on next summer being the same.

I like to leave my suitcase open on the floor for the week, an oscillating fan – electric or battery powered, and my journaling bag on the floor too plus my mattress. I spread out a little and don’t like it too compact.

This tent allows that. No holes or pulls in the bug screen. All poles and cords accounted for. I’ll invest in heavy duty stakes next summer because every place I camped had different soil and next summer should be a beach trip so I’ll need good deep sand stakes too but I look forward to my Coleman being my home away from home.

I was surprised that the tent did not include any set up instructions. Very disappointed with this as it was not intuitive. The next time I set up the tent I will be less stressful. I was lucky to have another person to help me or I don’t think I could have done it.

I also had one pole section split in half when I set it up. I was lucky to have some duct tape to save the day. I have not experienced any rain with this tent yet but I am worried that rain will come in as the fly just doesn’t seem to be large enough.

Nevertheless, it does seem to be well constructed and I would recommend this tent as it is large and roomy. If the tent had been easier to set up and a pole section did not split I would have given this review a higher rating.

I bought this screen tent for car camping in Northern MN where the sudden influx of mosquitoes or flies can easily ruin a trip. This tent is easy to set up and take down. It easily fits over a 6 foot picnic table.

The zippers easily withstood both adults, and a toddler’s efforts to go in and out frequently. We did not use the guy lines, a bit due to its location, and also because we just didn’t think of it. We noted a little lift on the edges with the wind, so in preparation for a big storm, we more fully secured the stakes (x 4 corners).

Just in time for dinner, the huge storm came up with 70 mile/hr winds, hail and incredible rain. It was an intense enough storm that we actually watched a tree snap in half and fall in the distance. The Screenhouse held up!!! I was incredibly impressed and vowed to write a review when I got home.

We did get some slight splash through the screen from one direction due to wind, and water at our feet due to slow ground absorption (but that is not the tent’s fault). The rain gutters worked beautifully, as designed.

The screen tent bent just enough with winds to not break, and held its place despite no guy lines tied, and suffered no hail damage! Highly recommend. Kudos to Nemo for the smart design. In my experience, the technology, durability and efficiency of Nemo products are well worth the extra / higher price point.

I researched this purchase for months before purchasing and didn’t expect to land on the Nemo screen house, but after initial use, I am quite pleased. Setup is very simple because of the fairly intuitive design.

I can set it up myself without issue. I’m a 5’5” smaller lady. that’s a huge deal. Every other screen house had an additional rain fly that would have likely been time consuming and an added challenge to assemble especially on my own.

It held up in some blustery winds very well, staked down and guyed out. I was impressed. Tons of room and not claustrophobic feeling. Plenty of headspace, and internal pockets help keep you organized.

A few gear loops for lights or possibLy a clothesline down the ceiling ridges. The step on door flap to assist in zipper opening is a small but appreciated add on. A two year old figured it out in a couple tries.

Everything seems very robust and good quality. The lumen colour is very cheery on a grey day. It provided tons of shade and a good couple degrees cooler in the screen house than outside. Things I’m not a huge fan of – bugs LOVE the colour.

Have to be Quick on the door or the thing is littered with black flies trying to hug the walls. We only had a little bit of rainfall, nothing to really put this to the test, but I’m wondering how it will hold up during an intense rainstorm.

Would be nice to see Nemo manufacturer some sidewalls to add on in the future for the torrential downpours, or even extra shade/privacy. Also, weird observation, the side of my storage bag literally said “Victory Screenhouse Tent “Sheleter”.

Bonus points to the guy who took that to print without reading it first.

They have a 12×12 and 10×10 model, and we opted for the 12×12 for more space at both ends of the picnic table. Many screen houses are 10×10 and you end up losing a corner of the picnic table that could be used for tabletop cooking because it gets pushed against the tent.

We tend to use both ends of the picnic table to cook. It is a solid tent with very good choices on how you want to enter or exit the tent (either from the center or the side. Fabric is top notch for both the mesh and nylon portions.

It was very easy to set up between my husband and I. There is a video out there to help how to do the set up and store the tent. We used that and it was pretty straight forward. We put down one side of the awning to block the road, lights and other campers from seeing our site while keeping the awning up on the other three sides to see our site.

Again, other screen houses don’t have the awning options on all four sides. What I did not like is that the tent comes with yellow plastic pegs. They break and frankly, we purchased metal pegs instead for the different terrains and ease of removal.

It comes with guy lines, but would have preferred them to be attached to the tent then in the bag like how some tents attach guy lines. It is also expensive, but after camping in 4 days of rain with thunderstorms using a different model that was ‘water resistant’, the waterproofing on this tent makes the camping experience more enjoyable no matter the weather.

You could use a tarp, but then you’d be eaten by mosquitos/flies at the picnic table. The bag is also very large and heavy, but for us as a car campers, this was worth the purchase and lets our family (with two young kids) have a more enjoyable experience camping over the next few years.

We hesitated on buying this screen house when there are so many other options available, but in the end, after a lot of homework, this was the best option for a family that does a minimum of 2 camp trips per year.

We aren’t the family that goes to resorts or distant getaways so this was worth it.

We got this to use as an outdoor living area when we go camping in our RV. We knew that we would need something that could stand up to all types of weather up in the mountains and this definitely solved all issues about potentially being stuck indoors during those times.

This screen house did not disappoint us at all! It was super easy to set up and take down, survived a very windy rain storm, and kept the mosquitos at bay after said storm. This was was a definite life saver.

One of my favorite features was that each side of the screen room could be rolled up or down separately. This allowed me to set up the tent however I needed, whether it was to allow for ventilation or even to open the view.

The best part is that it is SUPER durable. Even with two toddlers messing with the zippers, this thing seems completely new. The reason I docked a star is that I had to buy extra lines and stakes to ensure it would be fully secure and because I do wish the center height was a little taller.

I’m 5’8 and had to duck to get inside and my husband could not fully extend inside. Overall, it did allow our family that extra outdoor space we so craved and desired.

I have heard such great things about this brand! Love the screenhouse! I love that it flips into a screenhouse so you can put camping chairs right outside your tent and still be covered. And then I love that it flips back into a tent when you’re ready to sleep.

The height and width is great and gives you plenty of room and space and you can keep your belongings inside the tent because there is enough room. It comes compacted nicely in a huge bag and then individual bags inside for the poles.

The only downside is learning to fit it back into the bag, lol! It is a challenge. The other downside is if you are true campers and you’re going to go hike and carry this tent, I wish the bag had backpack like straps for easy carrying.

Instead, it’s like a duffle bag and it’s really heavy so it becomes uncomfortable quick.

If you are someone who likes to spend time outdoors during the warmer months, this is for you! I currently live in NYC but grew up in the burbs and have a great appreciation for the great outdoors. During the warmer months, I frequently drive out of the city to spend time outdoors, often at park barbequing.

As much as I love being outdoors, I do very much appreciate having a shaded area to retreat to. This Coleman Back Home screen canopy tent is perfect for my family and I. It’s large enough to cover an entire picnic table at a park so the whole family can be covered in the shade while we eat or play a game of cards.

As I mentioned before, we have to drive to where we use this, so the fact that this canopy comes with a wheeled carry bag it immediately became a favorite. It’s easy to assemble and take down with its one-push center hub.

The screen house has two entryways and can be closed providing a comfortable bug-free environment with UV protection. Even on windy days, this remains sturdy as it can withstand winds up to 35mph. Whether you are someone who travels like my family or simply wants to use this in your backyard, I highly recommend this!.

I was hoping to use this when my family goes camping, and I’ve been able to but it’s incredibly heavy and hard to store when it’s broken down. I think this screen house would be best for a back yard or back porch or seasonal campsite.

It’s time consuming to put up and break down, and difficult to move around (when broken down) because of its weight. It’s an amazing screen house though, that’s for sure! The material is thick and feels high quality.

The screens are also thick but have small enough holes that even the smallest of flying bugs can’t get in. There is no vent in the top where bugs can get in (like there are with other brand’s screen houses).

The zippers are rugged and don’t get caught in the material. All that quality stuff just makes it super heavy. I’d guess it weighs about 150lbs. But that also means that it’s sturdy and won’t blow away when a bat farts.

If you want to travel with a screen house, like for camping or other outdoor activities, this might not be the screen house for you. But if you want a somewhat permanent screen house then definitely get this.

Coleman has always been known for quality outdoor gear but they pulled out all the stops for this one!!.

This screen tent is huge! Reading the size is one thing, but actually having it set up is another! I initially set this up by myself, which seemed intimidating at first, but was extremely easy. Set up took about 15 minutes.

This screen tent provided a great amount of shade while camping and kept the bugs away while dining. I love that there are two different doors so you can let air flow through, which being a screen tent sounds a little strange, but it is true.

It was very easy to take down and pack up. Everything fit back in the rolling bag perfectly.

I love this 8 man tent. Truth be told, it’s just my husband and me. So an 8 man tent is what some may call excessive for 2 people. But let me tell you, I love having so much space. I’m used to tiny backpacking tents so when I was deciding on a tent to use at drive up campsites, I decided to go big.

It was very easy to set up with 2 people (we didn’t argue at all!) and after the first time, I think I’d be fine to set it up by myself. We set up our bed in the main room like it was a master bedroom.

Being able to stand up all the way (we’re 5’4” and 5’7”) was luxurious. It has 2 large windows and a nice vent. Even when it rained with all the windows zipped up and the rain fly on, it was still breezy and not stuffy.

I saw a few other people mention the “door” between the main room and the ante room is a perfect circle so you have to step up and over to get through. We didn’t mind at all as it gives it some character (great for photos!) and it keeps the main room separate as the clean room and the ante room the more dirty room for wiping feet off and dirty towels and gear.

It would have been nice if we had packed a little dustbin and broom for this reason. The ante room you can almost stand all the way up in. We used it like a patio, storage and food pantry. We could easily fit a chair or two and a table for food prep inside.

The zip windows are on all 3 sides so it feels like a screened in patio. Only minor complaint was the bottom horizontal zippers at the entrance catch easily on the fabric meant to keep the zippers dry.

We were careful after it happened a few times and it was fine. Overall, I think it’s a phenomenal tent. I could easily see a family of 4-5 or a group of friends sleeping in it or if you want to feel like you’re glamping just 2 people like we did.

I car camp with my two dogs and this provides us with lots of room. I loved the screen area to sit in the evening keep the bugs off but still able to enjoy the outdoors. It’s also a good area to store food away from bugs and wildlife.

It’s easy to set up. I was able to do it by myself and it wasn’t a problem. The only negative is I wish it had a small opening to allow an electric cord in the sleeping area so I don’t have to run it through the front door.

Overall great tent!.

Purchased the Instant Setup Screen Tent yesterday and decided to set it up as a trial run before camping, and thank goodness I did. The instructions say to extend the telescoping roof poles until they click.

I was only able to extend one of the three roof poles as the poles are assembled incorrectly. Each pole has two sections, and each of which has a flat side so that you can slide the sections apart to where they correctly align in order to be able to click into place.

However, the flat sides of the sections were not lined up on three of the four roof telescoping poles. Therefore, they were wedged in such that they were impossible to extend and therefore, impossible to use.

Such a disappointment and such poor quality control on the part of the manufacturer. Will return tomorrow. This is the second Ozark Trail product I’ve purchased and both were defective.

This large screened-in canopy works great. It is easy to set-up but be VERY careful. The packaging warns you that it opens with significant force and it is not exaggerating. It could throw a person back.

It takes quite a bit of strength to fold it back up but it is awesome because it folds up so small and is easy to store. The bag that it goes in is the perfect size, it is not like air mattresses where the bags seem to be too small for the mattress to go back in.

If you fold this thing back up correctly(there are only like 3-4 folds), it fits great. I love that is has UV protection, I like not having to worry much about putting sunscreen on my baby every hour when outside.

We have used this in our backyard to keep mosquitos away while the little ones play. It is great to not have to worry about bug spray too! It is very tall, my husband is 6’2” and he can easily walk around in it.

There are zipper doors on two sides so it is easy to get in and out pending where you set it up. The walls are mesh so you still get a breeze, I am thankful it does not feel stuffy inside. I will plan to bring this to my children’s sporting events in the future to provide shade and a contained place for little ones to play visibly.

I think we will also bring it to the beach. At first I was disappointed because I wanted it to have a base but now I actually like it better without one because I do not have to wash out the entire thing.

I can just lay a blanket down, put the canopy on top and then wash the blanket after. I always struggle cleaning out the insides of tents so this works well. I am very excited to use this canopy, I think it will get a lot of use! I highly recommend it!.

So, there’s a label on the tent that says it should take you only 2 minutes. We spent well over an hour trying to figure it out because it wouldn’t stand up for anything. Watched videos of people making it look easy, but ours fell short as we figured out that it was defective.

We eventually discovered that two of the poles were screwed into the wrong placement on the plastic piece that serves as an elbow of sorts. It was crazy wonky and just not working before we switched them.

So, we had to unscrew the poles and place them correctly. Since one of the screws was going in at an angle, it was VERY difficult just to get the screws back in correctly. Once we did that, it finally set up the way it was supposed to, but only with a 3rd person to help us get one of the sides up that just kept collapsing.

Not sure how anyone is supposed to get the tent and all the parts back into the bag. It does have a secondary zipper to spread the bag open a bit wider, so we did get it in, but not the rainfly or additional fabric for separating the rooms.

I’ve always found the bags to be a joke with all tents we’ve had. In general, it would have been fine and not so frustrating had it been properly put together, bu the hassle of it was really annoying.

What if we hadn’t tried it out before our trip and didn’t have a Phillips head screwdriver? You’d be one frustrated camper. Highly recommend putting it up first just to be sure there are no issues or missing parts.

This tent is huge. we needed a tent that was just a bit larger than our previous tent to add one more kid (our teenager decided she wanted to try and camp with us instead of staying home with grandparents.

lol). It’s almost Y shaped and the 3 doors are super convenient when you dont want the kids running over your bed with their dirty feet. It’s quite large and very roomy, we especially love that we can keep several windows open when it rains and dont have to worry about the rain getting inside.

The windows are placed on each wall of the tent which makes it so much cooler in our 80°weather. The only thing that is a challenges we have with this tent is its heavy and putting it up. It’s much more difficult to get the tent set up with just 2 people.

Once we can get one section up, the other person tries to set up the next side. Which opens okay, then as we try to get the 3rd section up, one of the other sections falls back down. So it takes us about 10 minutes to open the tent up vs 2 minutes with our previous tent.

We need 3 people to open our tent. Tried to search for some tips online but wasn’t able to find anything. Other than that it’s still a great tent and we still love it.

I bought this for a trip with my kids. There’s five of us, and this tent had plenty of room for all of us, and let my older kids get some privacy. Putting it up took about 25 minutes total, including the rainfly.

I did it with just my older two kids, 11 and 8, but it definitely needs at least one other set of hands. They don’t have to be particularly large or experienced hands though! We did get about 2 hours of fairly heavy rain overnight, and stayed completely dry.

It was pretty warm during the day, and the windows helped get a lot of airflow. In sunlight, it did get quite a bit warmer, but we weren’t inside much during the day. Taking it down was pretty easy, and I did it with the help of one child again.

Overall, this was an excellent buy and we’re really looking forward to future trips to test longevity.

First night in the tent we had a six-hour torrential deluge, hardest rains I’ve ever experienced, also high winds, and the tent stayed bone dry, sturdy, and safe. So, it is watertight. Instant setup really means two minutes, then staking.

Incredibly roomy and screen porch fits two folding chairs very comfortably. Do not underestimate the hanging screen storage – it holds lots, phones, glasses, wallets, etc. I highly recommend this tent without reservations.

It is a mystery to me how such a great piece of camping equipment can be bought for such a reasonable price.

I hate to say that this tent is not waterproof nor will the company fix, replace, or do anything for my brand new tent that leaked. It lightly sprinkled through the rainfly above which accumulated through a day of rain in the Smoky Mountains.

Also, it dripped constantly via the tie ups for the back windows (windows were closed, dripped through the seam). I was told by the company “Core tents are water resistant and require a waterproofing spray to be waterproofed and withstand constant rain.

We recommend using Nikwax, Scotchgard Water Repellent, or Coghlan’s Seam Seal. We recommend all tents be sprayed once a season to maintain the waterproofing or as directed on the product instructions.

” So DON’T expect a dry tent upon purchase. The description says “All Core tents are equipped with water resistant PU coated fabric and taped seams to help keep moisture out. ” The tent is easy to set up and take down, but it is not waterproof upon purchase so be aware that before you take your brand new tent out in the spring rains that you better apply waterproofing to the entire thing because you won’t know where it will leak.

I haven’t camped for about 20 years and I wanted something really comfortable for my family and my worn out knees. I spent a lot of time searching and reading reviews and specs to decide this was our best choice for being basically car camping newbies.

I really wanted a tent we could stand up in and a tent with an awning. (A need I thoroughly understand from camping fiasco 20 years ago!) We set this up in the house to make sure we could do it correctly and it had all it’s parts.

The online video is really super helpful and we didn’t even need to look at the instructions on the bag. First time took about 30 min because we had to keep scooting it around inside to make enough space for it.

I believe the next time we do it outside at our camp site it won’t take very long at all. It is just remarkably simple. I think one person could set this up, except maybe the rain fly depending on the wind.

It will probably be more time setting up footprint, pegging and guying than the actual erection of tent. It was easy to bring it down and reminds me a lot of following the folds for origami. It’s just a big origami tent.

We both really like the harness for packing it back up, and the oversized bag is perfect b/c we made it back in without a problem. I am blown away and so is my husband. We’re both really tall (6′ & 6’4″) so this will be perfect.

My daughter is happy too b/c she can have her own “room” with the divider. I’ll be happy there’s enough space for us to hang out inside the tent if the rain starts while we camp. And there will be lots of room for our cots, bags and gear.

I can’t wait for June to get here! A+.

I’ve been looking for a decent tent for a while now and this seemed like a good choice. Our friends have the same one in a 9-person so I figured we get a slightly bigger size. It wasn’t available in Canada but we still wanted it, so invested more for the extra shipping, taxes and duties across the border during covid times.

Purchased in spring and used it for our first camping trip in July. We sprayed a waterproofing sealant before the trip as we normally do. First night camping, it rained. There was water inside the tent only around the 2 pockets.

We had chargers in the pockets and that was a big mistake because the water was dripping from the pockets. After we came back, I emailed Core with this issue asking what we can do to correct this. No answer and it’s been 11 days and counting.

So disappointing as I was expecting better quality and lack of customer service. I’m kicking myself for spending the extra time and money to bring it to Canada. Should’ve gone with Eureka.

I bought this tent from Walmart. com for $99 plus tax, and it arrived in a few days. I set it up in my backyard and sprayed about three cans of Atsko Silicone Water-Guard onto the tent and fly, then left it standing for a little less than 24 hours.

(I still have not applied a separate seam sealant, although that treatment is recommended in the instructions that come with the tent. [I’d like to see that recommendation included in the advertised description of the tent, but that’s my only real criticism of this product, so far.

]) I actually don’t think the silicone covered the fabric completely, because lots of streaks are visible, but, if the coverage was uneven, that is just more proof of how good the quality of the fabric is.

Three days after I got the tent, I headed to a State Park where I set it up (by myself. It takes a while, but it’s not too difficult), and stayed for three nights. This was in Piscataquis County, Maine, in August 2022.

It was starting to get dark when I finished, and a light rain began to fall in a little while. After I retired for the night, the rain became heavier, eventually getting quite intense. From that night through all the next day, and through the first half of the following morning, there were only a few hours that it was not raining.

Most of the time, the rain varied from light to torrential. Not a drop of water made it through that fabric! The only leaks I found occurred where the edges of the fly slipped away from the edges of the large screened in section of the main body of the tent; this was mainly due to my having stretched one side of the main body of the tent out a little farther than I should have, when first staking it down.

(If the fly were a bit larger, with a couple more inches of material hanging over those edges, this might not have happened, but it was easy enough for me to adjust the fly, which I had to do a few times.

I figured out a way of wrapping one of the cords around one of the poles, that held the fly in a better position. ) I never put up the partitions, but left the tent as one big room, which obviously allows for better ventilation.

I had brought a folding chair and a small folding table, and spent many hours inside, reading, while the rain poured down. Aside from the fact that you have to duck to go in or out, it’s pretty much like having a little cabin, which was the effect I was hoping for, when I ordered this tent.

The screened in entryway is fantastic. Some rain can get in there, but it still provides a protected area in which to change your shoes before going in or out. I set an upside-down milk crate in there, to sit on while removing shoes, and I kept a cardboard box in there, in which I kept most of the wood for my camp fire (kept it pretty dry).

I was fortunate that there was no very strong wind during that trip. I didn’t stake down any of the long guy ropes, because I didn’t need them. A great tent!.

Great job Coleman! We recently purchased this tent for a weekend trip and were very pleased. First of all, it was very easy to setup, as we just matched the color of the poles with the color of the sleeves on the tent.

The approximate setup time mentioned was fifteen minutes, and we had it setup in considerably less time (even with high winds). Thankfully, there was just enough headroom in the center of the tent for us to stand, and enough square footage on the floor for our bags and bedding.

It was very windy during our trip, and the second night gave us lots of rain, which had me concerned. We stayed completely dry in our tent, I couldn’t find one drop of water inside, unlike many other tents that we’ve owned.

There were small puddles of water on the floor of the screen room, but no way for the water to get into the cabin area. Coleman also figured out a way to drain (or squeegee) the water from the screen room floor as there is a sewn-in mesh strip across the floor by the screen room entrance.

While I thought how nice it would be to not have any water in the screen room, this mesh strip was helpful in the removal of the rain water. Overall, this tent is surprisingly sturdy in high winds, great at keeping the sleeping area dry, very breathable with four zippered windows, and screen roof in center which helped to eliminate condensation.

My friend and I used this tent, just a different color, on our annual camping trip and it was great! It rained about two days on our trip and found no water inside! We did have a tarp underneath just because I’m a paranoid person.

The porch area does get full of water through during rain which is a pain, but it can be swept out and dried easily in the sun. The porch area held a clothing drying rack, a shoe rack, 6 decent sized bins, and some other camping junk.

Inside it was just two of us so we had a ton of room. Can easily fit 8 people in this tent. It’s big and spacious and is an awesome tent. If you’re below 6ft you’ll comfortably be able to stand inside.

10/10 tent.

Love this tent! We’re a family of 4 and have been using this tent since our boys our boys were little. There’s enough room to bring everything with you. When we go car camping we bring: 4 inflatable mattresses, our sleeping bags, cooler full of food and drinks, Coleman grill, fishing gear, 4 camp chairs, and plenty of other things to keep us enjoying the outdoors for a couple of days.

We keep our gear in the screen room at night and on rainy days when we stay in the tent and play games. there’s penty of room for standing and a game is ring toss, again when it’s raining. The windows and doors are big enough for adequate ventilation and they zip closed for privacy.

We hang a tent fan at night when it’s hot here in the south. It’s easy to set up and take down with plenty of anchor spots and guy lines (which you will need in high winds. This is not a light-weight tent intended for minimalist backpacking.

This is a tent that keeps your family comfy and wanting to keep going camping. I gave it 4 stars because I wish it were lighter and smaller in packed size. We’ve had this tent for a more than 10 years.

We camp the GA state parks at least 6 times a year.

The sandbags are insufficient for keeping this in place on a deck. Furthermore, when you are sitting inside of the gazebo, you can hardly feel the breeze. We tried using four of our deck chairs inside and they just barely fit.

My recommendation: don’t bother with this if you are installing on a deck or if the wind is greater than 15 MPH. I returned the item to our local Target.

Very disappointed. I wrote woods before purchasing (see my question and others on their website) to ask if the walls attached to the floor as I needed a shelter that sealed so that my cats cannot get out.

I was assured that the walls zippered to the floor on the bottom (again, see my answered question on their website for proof). Well, the walls do not attach to the floor at all. In fact, with every breeze, the walls blow about a foot off the ground, with no way to anchor them down or attach them at all.

I wrote to them on May 11th and again about a week later and there has no m been no response. This shelter was intended to use with my cat who is not well, may not live another summer and enjoys being out in a tent or shelter of some sort.

This shelter is useless for us.

Very versatile canopy for this car tent camper who wanted extra shade and rain protection over and around my small tent (allowing me to leave the tent fly off for good ventilation). Was able to set it up myself, although 2 persons are best (don’t forget to clip the top/middle first, or you won’t be able to reach those clips later).

Was happy that the floor was a separate piece, as I didn’t need it and was able to leave that heavyweight item behind. My only suggestion is to add some rings along the top span of each opening to allow you to roll up the side sheet when you don’t need it, and something to add tension and prevent sagging of the top of the side sheet (I used a sack of small rocks tied to the top fastener loops to accomplish this).

My neighbor campers were envious.
