20 Best Screen Protector For S8+ (2023 Updated)

When I purchased the first set of these screen protectors, I let them sit for weeks, because I was so sure it would be a long hard task putting them on. I had previously put tempered glass protectors on our phones that required a lot of time installing them, using glues, and letting the glue “cure” under an ultra-violet lite that came with the tempered glass kit.

The tempered glass protectors worked very well, once installed, but I put my phone in my back pocket and sat on it one too many times, and my wife dropped her phone one too many times, and the tempered glass started cracking around the edges and into the middle of the the phone screen.

The tempered glass protector had done it’s job and protected the phone screens, but we knew we had to replace them. I researched quite a bit on the other types of screen protectors, because the tempered glass ones we had purchased, cost $50.

00 each, and were not forgiving during the installation process. When I found the IQ Shields, I purchased one set, and as I said before, let the protectors sit unopened for weeks dreading the installation process.

Finally, my wife told me she “had to have something done to her phone” because the tempered glass was scratching her fingers. I immediately ordered another set of the IQ shields for hers. Whenthey came in, I experimented with my phone first, and was astounded how easy it was to install.

No glue “curing” lamps, just a water solution that was very forgiving if you got air bubbles trapped under the protector; all you did was carefully peal the shield back up, shoot a little bit of the water solution, (included), under the shield and smooth it out with the little rubber squeegee, (also included).

It took less than 5 minutes to install. You need to let it dry over night, so plan accordingly when installing yours. You can install it and let it dry while the phone is recharging during the night; the the warmth from the recharging will help it dry even better.

The next day, take your fingers, and smooth the overlap corners down around the edges of your phone screen, even though you did that during the installation, just to re-insure you have a tight seal. I highly recommend this product.

Application of this screen protector is a nightmare. Stay away from it. Ships with 0 instructions. Yet comes with GLUE (unlabeled) and a UV light. Kit was shipped without the tray. Used it on my phone, had to abort application.

left glue scars on the screen thus had to have it professionally cleaned.

Went on easily with supplied tools, a little tricky to stick to the curved edges but definitely doable, seems to protect well. The only complaint that I have is that instead of the silky feel of the non-protected screen, it now has a slight orange peel texture.

Responsiveness is still much better than most of the hard glass screens I have tried. I’d rather have a little loss of that smooth glide than have to replace that very expensive screen.

It’s day two of my Aquashield and I’m still happy with it. It does feel like a piece of sticker-plastic sitting on my screen so it is a bit different. But I suspect it should do it’s job. I haven’t read anythjing truly negative about the product so I’m curious to see how it works for me.

I work in retail, so I drop my phone from time to time and have many things in my pockets along with my phone and I’m keeping an eye on it to see if it does in fact protect my screen from sctraches and scuffs.

It is a good idea to read the directions carefully for proper installation of the screen. Spraying on the sticky side of the screen was a bit unusual for me but it works wonders for removing the bubbles along with the tool given in the kit.

Now my screen is protected from scratches, etc. I recommend this product. Be sure to cut corners properly to fit your case.

This protector was vary easy to install and i love the smooth feel it gives my screen. Crystal clear. I’ve yet to test it’s “protective Strength”. I do however have to say that iIf the protector is not directly in the center of your screen.

I couldn’t help but notice that someone left a bad review of this skin. I’ve had my phone for a while, and been through a BUNCH of vinyl style screen/body protectors. This is by far the best clear skin that you can get.

I usually buy them from Amazon, but the price here is a little more than half what you’d pay there. Just be sure that your phone and hands are completely clean, and apply the skin in a steamy bathroom to avoid airborne dust.

It is a wet application skin, so the edges of the screen will take a little longer to apply. Just have patience, and they’ll stick. The skin sort of breathes, so any streaking you see after application will fade in the next couple of days.

This skin covers the majority of the device, so it is not case friendly, but that is why I like it. There’s no need for a big bulky case on your phone. It probably won’t protect from a drop onto stone, but you will 100% not have to worry about getting scratches on the screen or back of the phone.

Sorry for the long review, I just really like Skinomi skins (especially the matte ones).

So far so good. Install was easy. instructions and video were easy to follow; adhered to screen perfectly to my surprise. no bubbles or gaps. Had a tempered glass before but it kept coming loose. No loss in sensitivity at all and crystal clear; works as advertised.

Best feature is it doesn’t keep smudges, fingerprints and scratches. you barely see them compared to other protectors that look completely dull after multiple uses/finger touches. So ‘healing’ feature does work.

As this is not a tempered hard glass, my only concern and worry is whether it will hold up to a hit/drop and keep my screen protected and intact. I’m just not sure hence I gave it a 4 star for now. Haven’t dropped phone on screen side yet, so TBD.

I have been using Skinomi screen protectors exclusively for years. They are Fantastic! – until I got a Galaxy 8 with this stupid curved screen. I am on my 3rd screen protector and now IT is starting to bubble and come loose from the edge.

Please note, YOU CAN’T GET A BETTER SCREEN PROTECTOR THAN SKINOMI,in my opinion. I just wish that they could find a way for their EXCELLENT design to work with phone designers Terrible curved screen design! Ugh.

NOW, I HAVEN’T DROPPED MY PHONE MORE THAN I CAN COUNT ON ONE HAND; BUT MY SCREEN IS FLAWLESS! COUPLED WITH A GREAT CASE, THIS SKINOMI CLEAR SCREEN PROTECTOR IS A MUST! AND MY PHONE IS NOW 3 YEARS AND COUNTING! YOU DON’T THINK SO, WELL ENJOY YOUR CRACKED SCREEN!.

Paid attention to keeping everything clean. Film went on easily. When sealing the edges ,I noticed I got film off-center. As in the instructions, I was able to easily remove and rewet the film for a perfect installation.

Seems to be a nice ,durable product. Much better than the tempered glass.

The video and parts delivered did not match so it made the install confusing. Also the video was not very accurate and did a poor job addressing what to watch out for. For example, once the protector was on, it was hard to move to center.

I would have pointed out to make sure the top was just slightly lower as to not cover the front camera optics. Also, make sure the bond has cured for 24 hours before putting on the backside plastic protector.

Now that I have done this once it will be easier. I am ordering two more.

Despite the lack of placement tools like many modern screen protectors provide, I was still able to place it properly due to the perfect amount of adhesive. Only managed fingerprints on the top and bottom edges where it’s hardly noticeable.

The smoothness of the protector is less resistant than the first Invisishield but more so than a glass one. This style is more durable and longer lasting than the glass protectors as well. Worth the tradeoff.

First time using a wet application screen protector and I must say when I first read the directions I was like they want me to put what on my phone? After the shock of soap and water on my phone, it wasn’t terribly complicated.

You don’t have to be precise either like the dry application ones because you can slide it around to get it right. That being said I did have to do it twice and used both because the first time the corner kept coming up and it was driving me crazy.

So I did it again, the same issue, just not as bad. This protector does go pretty much from edge to edge so my case is actually pushing the edges up which is what my issue is. This could be an issue for others as well depending on your case.

I did try and put the screen protector on while the case was on and that didn’t help the issue. I do like how it looks and feels other than the edges coming up due to my case. I won’t be going back to dry application after using these.

So much easier, no annoying bubbles and you don’t have to be as skilled and perfect. I have dropped my phone already, on tile flooring and the phone is still perfectly fine. Note I did drop my phone on the same tile floor with a different screen protector and the screen shattered so I had to get a new phone since it shattered bad enough to affect the phones capabilities.

I do recommend this even with the case issues. Hopefully, it continues to protect my screen even though it’s not laying flat on the edges.

I just got the screen protector today and I followed the video instructions exactly. It’s a bit of work, but I would say it’s well worth it to have a perfectly aligned screen protector without any bubbles.

I also did use a hairdryer to make it apply quicker and it was fully attached within an hour since I was only really impatient to get the sides stuck down. Just make sure you watch the video and follow the instructions like they say and you’ll have no problem getting a perfectly aligned screen protector.

Also, I would like to add that the touch sensitivity is perfect. I had a tempered glass one before that I could barely even use my phone with. With this one I can’t even tell I have a screen protector on.

The screen does have a bit of a “rubbery” feel that makes throwing pokeballs in pokemon go a little bit different than with just the normal glass screen, but it’s nothing major that I couldn’t get used to.

I love Rinogear! I was so upset when Zagg decided to switch to tempered glass. I love how flexible the material is! It protects so much better, especially from drops. A tempered glass screen will shatter and you have to replace it but this material acts like a shock absorber and since its plastic, it cant shatter.

So that if it is a hard enough drop for the phone screen to shatter, the screen protector will keep everything in its place until you get it fixed. No random splinters in your finger 🙂 Its also almost flush with the edge of my phone (s8 active) and you dont have to get a special tempered glass one if you have a phone with a curved edge 😉 Its also completely scratch resistant.

The only sad this is that you have to be VERY careful when you put it on your phone. It’ll most likely take a few tries to get it perfect.

If you are tired of the tempered glass screen protectors try this. I like mine a lot better. I put this on a Samsung S8+. The glass protector glues at the edges only. So after a while they get dust under them.

This screen protector stops that.

Kit comes with everything you need- spray, air bubble tool, cloth. Perfect fit for S8 with a slim case. Can’t even tell it’s on the screen. Took about 5-10 min to line up and install for perfect fit.

Highly recommended screen protection at a great price.

This product is alright. But application can be messy. The reccomendation to blow dry your phone if the water-based adhesive doesn’t work is ridiculous. I didn’t do that part I just smoothed it out by hand.

Also I’m not sure how many spray you need to spritz. The directions is a link to a video and that is pretty much it. You have to watch the video multiple times to get it. And with an otterbox defender bubbles form that the bottom and you have to force them out.

Once you do all that it is a fair product. I don’t like the feel but my grandmother won’t mind it. If you have the class option which I have for my Mom’s S9+, I would reccomend that I believe it’s Zagg because it has the best feeling with glass and you feel the protection versus a film.

Price is cheap and you really can’t beat that!.

If you phone has cured/rounded screen – this is the only screen protector I know for sure will work. I had Samsung S7 Edge, and tried many different stuff – nothing worked except ‘ArmorSuit MilitaryShield’.

With the spray (included) & wet positioning – it is very easy to put the screen protector without any bubbles or miss-position. Upgrading to S8 phone, and ordering again this screen protector, even it is double priced.

And I did get 2nd screen protector free for my old S7 phone (under lifetime guaranty) after 1 year when the screen started to come off on the edges after 1 year of use.

If, like me, you got your Galaxy S8 from Carphone Warehouse and you opted to have the silicone case and screen protector as an optional extra, you will know that screen protector was complete crap. It covers around 80 percent of the screen and is an absolute joke.

In fact, the one that the phone has on it from the manufacturer has better screen coverage than the one from Carphone Warehouse. That is where this item comes in. The original Samsung protector includes two screen protectors.

It also includes a squeegee, a polishing cloth and to sticky dust collectors. Just follow the instructions and away you go. Coverage is pretty much 100 percent and feels a lot more quality than the normal rubbish you find littered across eBay.

My only gripe is that I wish the protector was a fraction wider from edge to edge. Every now and again I find that my case pushes the edges of the screen protector away from the screen which allows for air bubbles to get under it.

It sounds more of an issue than it actually is but it is annoying. And i assume it is also down to the silicon case that i still can’t believe i paid an extra 10 for (including screen protector and in-car charger, but no USB type C cable) but does its basic job of being some form of protection.

Overall this screen protector from Samsung is a must for anyone looking to protect their handsets screen. It fits almost perfectly and offers piece of mind. As an aside, it may also be worth looking into getting an original, but appropriate, Samsung case which may stop the issue I have with my screen protector being pushed away from the screen due to the generic case I have.

Installation was fairly easy – you get all the tools needed with this package. Its near perfect fit and the edges does not bother almost at all. Touch sensitivity is great and the feel is not too bad for plastic! But as the title says.

it doesnt stick. After about 2 weeks of use, it started to come off from the edges. I dont use any other cover so it surely gets a touch every time its put into pocket. Still, it should stick WAY better than this.

You get 2 covers in the package, but it does not justify this kind of behaviour. Dont buy unless you use a case, which could save you from this thing peeling off every other week.

This is the best screen protector I have used from Samsung for the Galaxy S8+. It’s very easy to apply and it’s very smooth to the touch and most important of all that it covers the screen well. It doesn’t go all the way around the edges but that is a good thing because you can use case covers and it will not peal off like the others I used.

Also unlike other screen protectors they have a hazy effect and doesnt looks nice when looking at the screen and also super clear and doesn’t block the gorgeous screen. Only thing that I really don’t like but I can live with is the edges of the screen protector, for some reason it doesn’t stick fully to the screen so you can see like a really thin band all around but as I said it’s better than all the others I used.

These screen protectors are awesome and it’s a great value for the price. The installation was easy if you read the directions and after 24 hours it was perfectly set. I followed the instructions to a T.

Doesn’t roll up with my case mate case or any of my others. Husband had to barely trim his to fit his case but he has no complaints. Awesome product guys. They even shipped me some extra paper for crafts (to put in my phone case) at my request.

Messed up one screen protector (husband’s when he put his phone case back on, that’s how we knew it had to be trimmed just slightly) and they also shipped me a new one. Superb customer service. Reminds me of the screen protector I had paid 30 dollars for at best buy for my daughter’s Nabi when she was a toddler and that product went through hell and lasted, so I am expecting the same durability with this brand.

I had one of my S8 for about 4years and it finally started to peel a bit in one corner which was damaged before I put the original shield on. It was still in pretty good condition but decided to freshen upmmy phonewith a new one.

As before the installation went well thanks to an excellent instructional video. Within 24 hr the few tiny bubbles beneaththe shield were gone. This is a great product at a great price.

Ill will say that this does protect your when your phone is dropped. I keep several on hand. It can crack from a hard fall. Sometimes the crack isn’t noticeable, but it protects the phone. Easy to replace and clean and does not interfer with the operations.

Protects my phone well. I have had to purchase a few times as I drop my phone often lol. Every time the only thing broken is this protector. My phone screen completely fine. Great purchase for a great price.

I absolutely love this wallet/cellphone combo. it is very well made and looks so expensive. The price was perfect. The hard cover for the back of the phone is also very good looking it fit my Samsung s8 perfectly.

It adheres to the outer cover by magnets so it’s easy to take off and lay it on top of my charger. It’s the best I’ve ever purchased.

The screen protector I purchased with my phone popped off and broke when I dropped my phone. Hope this one will stay on better. It looks much better and was not a problem to put on.

I’ve tried putting these things on my phone 4X’s now with no success. The company themselves are great, they sent the first replacement no questions asked. But still with no luck, I finally got one on but its full of bubbles (that won’t come out with the cardboard “scraping” thing).

It’s to bad really as I love the material it’s made of.

Installation was a little timely, but worth it. The quality of the cover is great, clear and barely noticeable. Company provides great tutorial on YouTube for installation. Customer service and communication are great.

Perfect fit, I have had problems getting a screen protector that fits nicely with my otter box case. Touch work smoothly and resolution of screen didn’t decrease like it does with other screen protectors.

After my Samsung Galaxy 8 phone fell off the table and the prior screen protector cracked at the lower corner, I purchased this Full Edge Tempered Glass Screen Protector. Installation onto my phone was super-easy and a perfect fit.

I notice that this one is a little thicker than my prior screen protector so it took a little more finger pressure at first to navigate the screens. I am thankful for this thicker screen to protect my phone and I can navigate easily now.

It’s a great screen protector, but this is my 4th one. They crack too easily. For 1st time, my actual phone has a slight crack in corner. Don’t know how as I’ve had screen protector since I bought it.

Don’t know how Protector cracks so easy, as im not hard on my phone at all. Hoping this one lasts me longer than a month or so.

This screen protector has outlasted my previous screens. One of them was a name brand that cost over $50, it didn’t last a month. I recommend Outfitters 100%.
