20 Best Screen Protector For Ipad 9Th Generation (2023 Updated)

I am very pleased that this does what it says. Specifically blocks out most of the blue light coming off a tablet. After suffering insomnia for years and wondering if it was the blue light I stopped using the tablet within an hour or two before going to bed.

It worked so bought this shield so I could use it right up to going to sleep. It worked because I’ve slept well throughout the night ever since. Installation was pretty simple. I followed the directions to a t and successfully installed the shield.

BUT I still have 2 smaller bubbles I can’t get out. There were a few big ones that disappeared when I continued to press on them so all that’s left are these small bubbles. For the most part these are not visible when using the iPad so I’m not too upset about them.

There is some minor glare, or reflection from light but if that’s what it takes to get the blue light protection, then good with me. It’s not a big enough problem to worry about imo.

I am trusting the science behind this as I am hoping to use this for eBooks as well as general use and note taking – so my review concentrates on other aspects:1) Fairly easy to fit but take great care cleaning the screen first and removing all dust.

2) The alignment template is just OK – not the greatest fit on my iPad Mini 6 but does the job. 3) Be aware that the screen protector gives a very shiny finish which is not as aesthetically pleasing as the screen would be without the protector on.

I have used a lot of protectors over the years and most are quite neutral in their finish. This one is really mirror like though especially when the iPad is powered off. I’m sure I will get used to it.

4) Everything looks good in dark mode but not so good when dark mode is not selected. In light mode things look a bit washed out and whites look cream. The protective shield then seems to “float” above the actual screen which personally I do not like.

I was getting NASTY dry eyes which I thought was partly from hayfever. Whilst this was probs true, I also was getting dry eyes when looking at my iPad at night too. I looked up solutions and apparently blue light exposure is proven to dry ur eyes.

I checked Ocushield out as they are the top reviewed blue light filter, and also amazingly do all iPad models. Its been a few days and genuinely my eyes feel less dry. Thank you Ocushield!!!!! x.

Excellent screen saver. Very easy to apply. At first I thought the bubbles I did see where between the IPad and the screen saver, but they were only between the top layer and the screen saver that is removed.

It is very smooth and your stylus glides over it very easy. I would never buy any other screen saver. It is thick but works perfectly once on. TechMatte totally back their products.

I really like this brand’s products. I find the thickness to be just right. If you’re using anything but hardened glass for a screen protector your missing out on a better experience. Fit is also perfect too.

(I’ve used this brand after trying a half dozen other screen protectors, I now use them on my Ipads & Iphones exclusively).

The screen is very smooth and glare-free. It is also very clear so the picture/color quality of your screen content is not affected. The screen cover is large compared with an iPhone so it was slightly difficult to apply, but easy nonetheless.

I would definitely buy it again.

OK I have installed a number of these, This was the first time I used this brand, It laid right down, but noticed that one of the corners never adhered, there is about 1/2 inch that is not sticking. must not have the adhesive in that corner.

This was installed on a brand new ipad out of the box and was cleaned properly before installation This is the first product review I have ever written, I guess I got a bad one. If the product had laid down all the way I would be very satisfied.

The product is very good at reducing glare and the surface is pretty resistant to smudges compare to other glass protectors that I used in the past. The fit is great. The installation is a little more difficult since the product is so exact to the screen size so no margin of error is possible.

Will buy this again in the future if it cracked.

Does not have camera cutout on face for latest version of IPAD . Tempered glass does not interfere with camera performance . AMfilm has version with pin hole cutout for camera .

Even though this cost $10 more than a cheaper option, I chose it for it’s reviews and am so happy I did. This is easy to apply, I also watched the relevant youtube video application, as noted within the application instructions.

It was no fuss and no stress with the application tray. Highly recommend due to ease of application, have yet to use it long enough to rate the tempered glass protector.

Got this screen protector for my Ipad 8th gen. Got it for almost half price. The shipping was quick. The screen protector is of great quality and installing the screen protector on my ipad was super easy.

I tried sticking other screen protectors which always resulted in bubbles on my screen.

Pros: Covers most of the screen, fits perfectly with the application tray provided which makes the job easy. Will protect the iPad for a long time now, i hope. Cons: Edges have formed bubbles, wouldn’t go.

Best buy has long since been playing the game of keeping its brand off of amazon and other stores. Why? Because it rips you off in its price-to-performance ratio. Screen protectors, cat 5, usbc hubs, and cases all typically sell for 2-3 times the Amazon/other stores amount.

And the quality is NOT 2-3 times better. Save your money. Buy a screen protector on amazon. Buy most all your peripherals at other stores and enjoy a much-lower cost.

This was easy to put on. I was looking for a cheaper temper glass protector but this was the best I could find without risking being scammed on Amazon. This screen protector doesn’t help with anything besides add an extra layer of protection for the iPad screen.

I mainly got this because I didn’t want to ruin the coating on my iPad’s screen when I’m in the kitchen and grease and other stuff is landing on the screen. It does the trick nicely.

What can I say, glasses glass whether it has the Exignia brand on it, Zag brand, or OtterBox‘s own alpha glass it’s all going to do the same thing. Don’t get pulled in by the height because these pieces of glass can sometimes run as much as the high end cases.

I found an excellent deal on this insignia screen protector which is glass and was on sale for a perfect price. Boom, done deal!.

My wife and I can not get an air bubble out. We followed the directions exactly. The bubble just wont go away.

once I figured out how to get it positioned right and hold it in place everything went smoothly and it is still very sensitive for working your Ipad my wife loves it very much and it is easy to clean

I don’t usually take the time or feel the need to write reviews, but in this case I was so pleased with the product and ease of installation. I purchased this for a 9th Generation iPad and wanted to ensure protection of the screen and to diminish the damaging effects of blue light and this does both.

There is no unusual coloring at all, it is crystal clear, in case anyone is worried about the technology used for the blue light filtering system they have on the screen for eye protection. Importantly, this was the easiest screen protector I have ever installed.

It comes with a plastic cover that sits on top of the iPad that just covers the edges of the iPad, so that the part exposed is the exact dimensions needed to straightly and correctly place the screen protector.

Seriously, if I thought it was easy to apply that says a lot. I highly recommend this product. I have no bubbles and it is on perfetly straight. It is pricey, I will admit, but very pleased with the product thus far.

I like this a lot, it’s my second screen protector for as many iPads. When clean it’s almost invisible. But is not finger print or smudge proof. One can see the marks on the screen, I have to make sure that my hands are super clean in order to avoid leaving marks but even then eventually the natural skin oils would end up on the screen.

But it’s ok I can always wipe them off. The image is very clear, when watching a movie I can’t see the difference between having a screen protector or not, colors are not altered, so that’s good too.

They only thing that I don’t like is that Zagg used to include a very very good application tray which made the application mistake proof. This one didn’t come whit one, which made the application a little nerve wrecking because I had to make sure my hands were completely steady during the application so I can perfectly match the camera and home openings, with the tray they used to include was a lot easier, way less complicated.

If the application is a successful and perfect one the screen is excellent.

Probably used this on 7 or 8 devices by now without much of an issue. The shields have cracked on most due to time/use, but only one device screen was damaged (dropped on concrete stairs. so not unexpected).

Sometimes a cracked shield led to us having it replaced, other times we just live with it if it isn’t intrusive. (These cracks are “our fault”, the device experienced trauma. presumably the shields successfully protected the actual screens from damage.

) My only issues: 1) BB sometimes bills us for applying the replacement screen when it is supposed to be free. 2) BB has sometimes had trouble finding a replacement screen then up-charges us for a “newer version”.

I am often wary about “store brand” products and their potential quality, but the need I had for this protector and the price Best Buy offered tipped the scales and I took a chance. I certainly won the bet.

I had just bought the latest regular iPad version for my wife and somehow the screen got cracked almost immediately. The device still worked fine and I just worried about the danger of a sliced finger so I hoped the screen protector would eliminate the risk and protect against further damage.

The application process includes two little stickers that act as hinges to help position the screen protector when you stick it on and they worked PERFECTLY! I have applied many a screen protector and never had one placed as accurately as this one.

Maybe it was luck, but the way to tell about fit is the placement around the thumb button and it was perfect. I placed the protector on and ran my thumb down the middle from top to bottom and the screen just flattened out over the device and sealed just right.

I smoothed it out but it never really had bubbles or gaps with the surface except for a second or two at the bottom where the cracked screen was. Once I smoothed over that area it lay down perfectly and has stayed that way since.

I have purchased countless Insignia products over the past 10years. From phone charging cables to televisions, I have experienced a wide range from various categories. Everything I have has exceeded my expectations, and this screen protector is no exception.

The quality is on par with national brands for a fraction of the price. Also, I would be remiss if I didn’t share my enjoyable experience at the 5TH Avenue store. Of all my shopping trips to Best Buy, this was by far the best.

I dread purchasing screen protectors as they rarely adhere and quickly peel off. After dropping my day-old iPad, I decided to give it another try. When I arrived at the store, a sales associate promptly greeted me.

She knew what I was asking for, and before long, I was signing the receipt and ready to carry on. As she was wrapping my purchase, I lamented about my notorious luck with screen protectors. To my surprise, she offered to install it for me.

Another 5 minutes and she handed me my shiny new iPad with a screen protector flawlessly installed and virtually invisible as intended. Two Best Buy locations are closer to where I live. But I will go out of my way to travel from The Upper West Side to do business with the 5TH Avenue store.

I purchased the item on July 7 for a new ipad. Went on very easy. Within the first week it developed a small chip. Don’t know how as I did not drop the ipad or bang it on anything. It is in a book cover case.

Within a week the chip spread to cracks throughout the protector. Easy to remove but I find the product unacceptable. Best Buy refused a refund. They offered an exchange but if the product is not acceptable, I dont want a new one.

Friends have told me they stop using glass screen protectors becasue the crack too easy and risk screen damage.

The only issue with the product is its application. It leaves a lot of air bubbles despite following the instructions. However, it settles down after many repeated up and down motions using the applicator.

The screen protection is good though.

Perfect fit for ipad Pro 12. 9 2020. It is easy to install on the ipad. The anti-glare matte finish gives a clear view and bright colour for reading. It protects the screen from dust and finger marks.

I usually prefer glass screen protectors for my ipad. I’m so glad I didn’t go that route. I really wanted to protect my eyes from blue light. This screen protector is great! It was easy to apply. Air bubbles smoothed out without a problem.

I also notice there are less prints on my screen & it takes away glare. Writing with the pencil is also very smooth. Very happy with this product!.

Originally got blue light blockers for mini iPad & my iPhone-WHICH I LOVE. But my mini is old & unable to get updates and was “forced” to buy a new iPad. Customer Service was terrific and helped me place the order cause I was having problems 🤷🏼‍♀️I seem to fall asleep faster & sleep deeper since getting the blocker screens.

I have several Apple devices that I install my own screen protectors on. I have to say this Targus is the most forgiving one that I have installed. I used to work in a clean room so I know that even after you have everything clean, the cardboard packaging is the most likely source of contamination.

You pull the screen out, forget to wipe it down and a particle ends up on your device or the protector. I installed the protector without any problems. I pulled the protector off and jumped up and down and laid the protector back down and found that particles were under the protector.

I removed them with the sticky tape provided and it again sealed without any bubbles.

I got this last week and I am glad I did because it has been put to the test by my grand son using my new I pad pro and dropping it a few times already. I like the fact that it will fit the 3rd 4th or 5th generation IPad pro.

It was easy to install and I like the tempered glass because it is nice and thick so I think it gives My screen more protection. The only problem I had at all was getting it out if the package it came in.

I had to eventually rip the box that was around the product to get it out. It is a very good screen protector though. It still allows me to use my touch screen with no problems. I will recommend this to anyone with a iPad pro 3 4 or 5th generation.

I was looking around and wasn’t sure of which iPad screen protector would be a good one then I got this one and I’m happy to see how my iPad 12. 9” looks with it…I would always look for bad reviews on most of these screen protectors so that way I wouldn’t encounter the same problems.

This is a great screen protector for iPad 12. 9” I have 4th generation and it fits perfectly. I was able to install it properly the first time with no bubbles or dust whatsoever. Took no more than 4 minutes to instal it.

I guess it all depends where you are at while installing it to not get bubbles on it. has to be away from AC ventilators and in a room where’s no clothing around or couches lint is the worse enemy when installing it.

I highly recommend this product. makes your tablet look clear and also like you don’t have a glass cover at all.

this screen protector is not great if you have an all around ipad cover like the ones from UAG. after installing the screen protector and putting the cover on the ipad the edges of the cover started to get removed from the ipad screen mainly in the corners.

and the instructions are vague as “follow the holes”, and “install screen properly” there is no proper guidelines on how to install the protector the proper way and the hole they are talking about does not help on how to install.

If like me u use ur iPad to draw on DO NOT BUY THIS. Because it is thick glass it lifts the pen always from the screen introducing jitter to lining, particularly diagonal lines. I used this for all of 30 minutes and threw it out.

Check iPad jitter issues on YouTube. Honestly I thought my iPad was broken.
