Coyote hunting at night is typically done with the use of artificial light, such as spotlights or headlamps, in order to see the animal. When hunting at night, it is important to be aware of your surroundings and to know where the coyote is likely to be hiding.

The Digital Night Vision Monocular has a 7-degree field of view and a 1. 5″ Hi Resolution TFT display providing ample amount of viewing area. Stealth Cam understands that hunters experience difficult challenges and rough terrain while hunting so they designed the NVM with an ABS High impact housing that protects the internal components from harsh, unexpected encounters.
The rubberized grip provides increased comfort and superior handling. The NVM operates on four AA batteries and includes a convenient carrying case.
This product is made by stealth cam LLC has two ir modes with adjustable frame rates from 30 fps for day viewing 25/15/8 fps for night with up to 3x magification. IR light is visible and appears as a deep purple under normal camera observation (an observer using a camera to see the operation of the night viewer).
Memory can be uploaded via USB -B to USB 2 or 3 cable to a monitor or computer with SD card installed or directly via SD card. Remote capture is also a feature (equipment sold seprately) with this model.
Object focus is acheived via objective and apprature rotation. Not the best NVM I’ve played with but certainly the best for the dollar spent. Mine was purchased at Walmart for $118 at 9% tax and for what it does it is worth it.
here the deal. I marked it as no for good quality because the IR light that is built in really sucks. But, buy a T-20 IR lite and tape it to on the bottom side and it takes it from maybe a 70 yard visibility unit to 700 yard unit and for the price you cant beat it.
you will be a little dizzy after you put it down because it does have a little back light that hits the eye and your eye naturally adjusts for that. but when you put it down – now you have one eye that’s dilated and one not and the brain says what the heck is going on here but just for several seconds.
for that I suggest just close both eyes for several seconds and its all good again. this is a safety warning to you so don’t be standing on the edge of any kind of cliff or drop off and be in any hurry.
just relax & let the eyes get back in synch again. your welcome.
I bought this on a whim yesterday while waiting for 2 older guys arguing over who’s turn it was to buy fishing bait “this time” and holding the line up. Amuzing, I assure you. Anyway, I got this NV Monoc and took it home and after dark I was messing with it and my wife came outside and I showed her (she doesn’t like outdoorsy stuff, lol) she was so awestruck that we had to go back this morning and get her one of her own.
It’ll take a couple minutes to get use to buttons and adjust view, but this thing is amazing. We could see each other clearly (like it was daytime) at 250ft pitch black night. The clarity can be adjusted easily and the zoom is great for day or night use.
This is Gen 1, but still totally worth the price! I only wish it came with lens covers. This is going to deer camp with me for sure!!.

I got this to go in the woods and hunting and for surveillance around my house for emergencies. It is very low resolution for one so images from it are worthless. But movement and finding moment makes this useful.
you can see where things are if you hear a sound or noise in the woods you can see if there is something in a given location. Finding a deer or tracking this would be super useful if you acted quick enough.
I like it but I might save for higher Resolution model in the future.
I purchased one , and it works to what i was expecting, to detect up to 100m. after that you wont be able to detect. But inside this range it works well to detect, not to identify. It is not comparable to a thermal scope, but to me it was better option to the leupold cheap monocular or the flir tk.
It is well constructed, feels solid, I dont like the double function switchs, press and hold, i would rather to have one solid click. Dont forget to properly turn it off, because you can only put it to sleep, and it still will consume battery in a day.
Celestron’s LandScout spotting scope is a customer favorite, known for its versatility and ease of use. For the first time, this beloved spotting scope is now available in a bundle with the Celestron Smartphone Adapter and a tabletop tripod-the perfect beginner’s Digi scoping kit.

Share your greatest discoveries with friends and family by pairing the LandScout spotting scope with the included smartphone adapter. This accessory connects any smartphone to the LandScout eyepiece (or any other eyepiece with an outside diameter of 45 mm or smaller, such as a binocular or telescope eyepiece).
The eyepiece’s magnification bumps up the image scale, so you can capture stunning images of wildlife, distant objects, and even the Moon at night. This light, rigid smartphone adapter installs in-seconds by clamping over the top of the eyepiece.
Tightening knobs securely lock your phone in place. Note that some large and/or excessively bulky phone cases (including folio style cases) may need to be removed for the phone to fit in the adapter.
My review is based on expectations, I am an avid animal watcher and have high end optics. I wanted a light scope that would fit in my daypack and accompany me on hikes. I wanted an angled scope that I could rotate allowing my wife to easily view any object of interest (I have a height advantage).
I wanted an easily packed scope that I could take with me to the gun range. This scope does all I expected and wanted. If you want to use a scope in low light (evenings and mornings), this is not the scope for you.
You will need to significantly increase the amount of money you spend.
I’m very pleased with the scope. I don’t use it on a tripod, I prefer to rest it on a towel, on a ledge. I honestly can’t see the point of the sturdy metal box, too solid to carry around, perhaps this could have been omitted and more money spent on the lens.
It’s very light and is a great help in spotting birds at up to 200 metres. You can see their eyes and very small distinguishing marks. The fabric case it comes in is a tight fit. It takes some time to get used to the focus when going from X 20 to X 60, but you do get used to it.
All in all a very good buy. Excellent next day delivery.

havent even had them a week. on/off button did not work right. ate batteries in 20 minutes and then just quit working all together. returning tomorrow. they were awesome for the brief moment they did work, but very poor quality.
or maybe just a faulty set. not sure but not wasting anymore time with them.
The Barska Colorado 20-60x80WP Angled Spotting Scopes are durable spotting scopes that can be used for terrain navigation, bird watching, and spotting at the range. The broad 20-60x magnification range is ideal for almost any long-range outdoor application from the wilderness to the target range.
An 80mm objective, fully multi-coated optics, and Porro prism transmit bright detail-rich images throughout the entire zoom range. The Colorado 20-60×80 comes with a table top tripod and a soft case.
I’m very new to spotting scopes and will be using it for birds n nature viewing only. I was a bit hesitant and confused due to overwhelming options of budget spotting scopes and their optical performance.
After reading numerous review I finally decided to go for Barska, and it was a great decision. Optically it is excellent at 20mm and acceptable at 60mm. However the build quality is not very great. Finish around the objective lens is poor as u can see the threads and perhaps glue on it.
Eyepiece is clear and zoom ring is quite hard but may become smoother over time. Focus ring is smooth and have a feeling of precision. Overall if u r not going to use it for extraordinary works, it is surprisingly good for casual viewing.
Light weight. Portable and great optical quality Real life magnification: I’m not much into numbers. I measure 200 mtr by foot step to my car from my room window and easily can read the number plates in night street light.
Bright light source in the dark background does show some purple fringes and degradation in the edges of light source which is more noticeable at 60mm and barely noticeable at 20mm. Tripod included is not very good, very short and limited usable, but overall it is ok since the prime concern in this package is the scope itself.
Barska should make tripod optional as I’m sure a lot of people never gona use the one came with it.
I have only used this scope once since I received it. However I had a good experience with it. I am very satisfied with the construction and the quality of the material it is made with. Setting it up for 100 yards was easy and stable after being adjusted.
I did not use the try pod that came with the scope. But the quality appears to have the same quality manufacturing as the scope. It was a great buy for me. I am very satisfied with the spotting scope.
It works great. I was hoping it would improve my aim. But it didn’t LOL Great scope.
I have used this quite a few times as a target spotting scope and for general viewing. I don’t have any experience with high end scopes but am very impressed with this one. I can spot small animals such as groundhogs at over 500 yards clearly.
On the range there is no problem using it to spot. I have only used it at 200 yards for target shooting but I am sure you could, at the very least, use it out to 300 yards easily.

I bought these 2 weeks ago. When I opened the box and looked at the tripod adapter. I looked at it and said ” You have go to be kidding. It has a big bulky block with an elastic band to wrap around the binoculars.
I would open up the binoculars to match my face and they would squeeze closed. the base sticks out of the case when closed. The purpose of buying binoculars of this magnification is to set them on a tripod for glassing.
When I returned them to Cabelas and told the Optics saleman what I did not like about them he nodded knowingly. He told me that he took a class from Leopold on how to install the adapter. Who ever designed these was not a hunter.
Recently received my BX4 12X50s and honestly was surprised. I have used several of the “other guys” products for work and even though they cost significantly more, I definitely prefer the BX4s. They are super light but very study.
My daughter decided she could drop them from her play structure (8 ft) and watch them bounce. While I was horrified when I saw it happening, the lens covers and armored coating did their jobs! Everything is super tight still.
Oh and glassing bucks is way more productive now. The 12s are the way to go. Good work Leupold you’ve locked another customer in for life.
Whether your interest is in sports, bird watching, wildlife, hunting or casual astronomy these Hawke Sport Optics Endurance ED 16-48×68 Angled Spotting Scopes are sure to provide the performance you demand for years to come.
TheHawke Sport Optics Endurance 16-48×68 Angled Spotting Scope w/ Multi-Coated Optics features a twist-up eyecup standard on the zoom eyepiece and a dual focus knob system. The scope is fitted with an adjustable mounting foot that may be rotated to any position in a range of about 180 degrees to make it more convenient and comfortable to use.
The twist-out sunshade is designed to block unwanted glare and other reflections that can spoil the viewing image. Constructed using a high stability magnesium alloy body, these Hawke Sport Optics Endurance 16-48×68 Angled Spotting Scopes are rugged enough to withstand extensive travel use.
The scope is really well designed and constructed. All the touches feel of high quality. The snout extends, the twist-up eye cup reaches a plateau, locking it in the extended position. The mount is just about right on the balance-point.
Focus is very smooth, no need for gearing. The finish is rugged and scientific looking (if that’s a thing). The case is fiddly to put on and take off, but once it’s on, it opens up so you can use everything.
The view is crisp, clear and contrasty. Overall I can’t think of one bad thing about this one. Factoring in all the details with the price, it’s an absolutely incredible value. I always wanted to try a Hawke.

Take your BX-1 Rogue Compact into the field, to the game, and everywhere you want to get close to the action. The Porro prism design gives you clarity and brightness that never disappoints. Particularly in entry-level and intermediate class segments, the compact 8×25 porro prism can often better its more expensive 8×25 roof prism competition in terms of the viewing experience.
The roof prism models are a hair more compact, and can at times tuck in to a shirt pocket. But by any standard for daytime viewing, the Rogue 8×25 Compact’s a lovely general-use choice for those on the go without a need for a larger, brighter binocular meant for twilight.
Yes. This is a gift to myself. Yeeesss!! I tossed my decision between a pair of very much less expensive brand (the power was good, the glass not so), a much better pair of (Name brand withheld, but they were very good also) lower powered yet much-much nicer glass, and these Leupold 10×25 Rogue.
Of the three, hands down Leupold wins! Now granted these are not higher end bino’s. I got out my range finder, zapped out to easily 650yards down the street. Found a street name sign, am able to see the lettering of the street name very clearly, and as most street name signs will have even smaller print stating the county.
Now lets pretend a moment as if I didn’t already know that, I can still make out the small lettering. And I have 60+ old eyes! I had my mind almost made up for a diff. pair mentioned above, once I saw the clarity of these Leupold Rogue 10×25, plus the fantastic deal MidwayUSA had on them, all I could say is.
“Annnd. their mine!” Here is another plus I found: the small footprint of these Leupold will fit nice in my center console of my American made truck. Handy when I need-want them, yet small enough to stash away.
I can even put them in my back pocket, they don’t fit like my contoured and formed wallet, but they fit. Thanks MidwayUSA for the sweet deal. Thank you Leupold for a very good product straight out of the box.
I have had these binoculars for nearly a year and they are junk!! It is impossible to get the eye relief set to permit a person to see clearly. I am now closing one eye! That is the only way to see! I bought these because they no longer offer the Yosemite model.
Major mistake!!!! Save your money and buy a different brand.
The magnification and clarity are great. There are a few little things that detract from the overall quality though. The adjustable eyepieces are a bit of a hassle. Something fixed would be a better setup.
The strap and case are both a bit cheesy. They could have upped the quality on those just a bit for something labeled with the Leupold name. Overall I am pleased.
The Victory Rangefinder System is a laser rangefinder with an integrated real-time ballistics computer. The consideration of all relevant factors and customization with the aid of the Zeiss Hunting App ensure precisely placed shots at any distance.
The rangefinder determines the precise target distance up to a maximum range of 2,500 yards. The capabilities of the rangefinder system are perfected by the ability to synchronize it with the Zeiss Hunting App via Bluetooth.
Every measurement takes the physical and environmental factors, such as temperature and air pressure, into account when making the calculation. Storage capability for up to nine personalized ballistic profiles, that can be set up within the Zeiss Hunting App.
Thanks to the Bluetooth function it is possible to import personal ballistic data from the Zeiss Hunting App to the Victory RF.
IšverstiShow in original languageIt’s All About The Glass: The Victory HT binocular line is one click shy of perfection, but for those who don’t need a rangefinder they are simply amazing. “We have spent more money in the glass alone than most manufactures spend in the entire binocular built by many of our competing manufacturers.
stated Michael Kurze, Director of Marketing for Carl Zeiss Sport Optics. He went on to elaborate on the quality of Schott HT (high-transmission) glass. Their engineers have been able to achieve an outstanding 95 percent (or more) light transmission, the highest of any premium binocular on the market.
As any trophy mule deer hunter knows, this is huge when it comes to having the ability to locate and evaluate animals in the darkest hours of the day. This same high quality HT glass can also be found in all of the HT riflescope models made by Zeiss.
HT Ergonomics: While some hunters may place brightness and clarity above everything, to me ergonomics are equally important. Knowing that countless hours will be spent glassing, if binoculars do not feel comfortable I would never make the purchase.
If you have an issue with the feel of any binoculars at your first impression, you will revisit that uncomfortable scenario every time you glass. The Victory HT 10x42s are very nice in the hands. You will immediately realize that the quality and workmanship is awesome.
They are an extremely well-built binocular, designed to perform perfectly in the toughest of conditions. Theres a slow and smooth focus ring that easily allows you to dial in to perfect clarity. Three-position eyecups allow plenty of adjustment, depending on your preference.
Everyone seems to have their biases and preference when it comes to top-end optics, but for guys wanting the best hunting binocular the market has to offer, dont make the mistake I did by overlooking Victory HT lineup.
IšverstiShow in original languageI purchased a pair of these RF Binoculars before the start of the season. These binoculars are far beyond what i have ever used in the past. As a guide, I purchased these for their multifunctions capabilities.
Every option performed to perfection without fail. The built in range finder is a an added feature that allows me to carry one piece instead of two without adding weight. These new RF binoculars are simply AMAZING.
The bluetooth feature allows you to add ballistics with ease and the built in weather station will do the atmospheric calculations for you. This new technology by Zeiss is unparalleled and definitely worth the upgrade.

I am a big Vortex fan, i have a pair of Razor Bino’s and a Razor Spotting Scope. However in my opinion they missed the mark on the Fury HD 5000s (at least at this price point). I picked these up few weeks ago, after using in the field it was apparent that the glass used is not of the same quality and precision of the Razor HD or Viper HD Lineup.
Needless to say I returned these to Cabelas for a refund. I would also like to add these wear very heavy. If you are to purchase be sure to have a good harness because you will need it for all day hunts.
They do come with a vortex harness, but i found it to be uncomfortable and difficult to adjust. Pros: Outstanding Warranty & Customer Service, Range Finder Works Well Cons: Glass is Mediocre at best, Heavy & Bulky.
Introducing to-the-yard precision nearly 20 years ago, the Optimizer Ultra X remains one of the most popular single-pin sights on the market today. Versatile and rugged, it can withstand years of abuse and still be accurate enough to win your next 3D tournament.
With the popularity of single-pin sights at an all-time high, the Ultra X remains a great choice for any season. Infinite Adjust Slotted Side Bracket. Water-resistant yardage tapes. 20-80 yard accuracy with a quick turn of the wheel.
Wow! After spending about 45 minutes installing and dialing this sight in I had two arrows touching at 55 yards. The package included everything needed to mount the sight and my quiver on a PSE compound bow.
The instructions left a little to be desired and could have benefited from some illustrations labeling parts of the sight system. With that said, it only took about 45 minutes to mount and get it sighted in at 20 and 40 yards.
After selecting the correct tape I took shots at 20, 30, 50 and 55 yards. Between the accuracy of the tape and only focusing on one pin my shots hit the mark at each distance. The last two shots were touching at 55 yards.
I’m actually considering buying a magnified lens for this thing because my vision is the only thing holding me back from shooting longer distances. For the price I am extremely happy with my purchase.
Not cheap, as a matter of fact its about as expensive as it gets. I never thought Id ever spend this much on a bow sight but I am a firearm enthusiast and I appreciate high quality optics. I also wanted a buy once best I could afford sight for my Triax.
This one definitely doesnt disappoint , the price is where it ends if you try to find a complaint. Does exactly what its supposed to do. The elevation dial is as smooth as butter, I did opt to change the magnifier to the brass pin which was included, very nice HhA! Easy to zero, included distance decals, Is find it hard to imagine any FPS set up wouldnt be included.
A second dial included! Very nice as I have FMJ arrows which are a lot heavier than my other ones, swap the dial and boom Im zeroed for those as well. I opted to purchase the blue light which for this price couldnt be included? However you can mount it over the dial pin or for the sight dot.
Top or bottom. Offset to the side wouldve been my choice in position but it works great nonetheless. Overall its just a bada$$ sight if youre looking for a single pin. I have a TruGlo Range Rover on my DNA which is awesome as well but it is definitely not in the same league as this as far as the build quality and smoothness plus attention to detail.
It is awesome in its own right and price range however. But I cant say enough good things about the HHA , Construction and workmanship is second to none, features and attention to detail are genius. I could not be happier , if you are even considering it.
Do not hesitate anymore, just buy it. You wont be disappointed, if you even have a hint of thinking you spent too much in a sight, by the time you take it out of the package, youll have a big smile and will not question your purchase.
after you zero and use it, any residue of the high cost you paid that may be left over will be wiped out and may consider for a second even getting one for your other bow! Haha my Range Rover is awesome and I wont do that but if that one fails me, I wont hesitate to get another one of these.
This is my first single pin sight. I am right handed but blind in my right eye so I shoot a rifle and bow left handed, these are the ONLY things that I can do left handed and was concerned about having to try to make adjustments in the field.
My quiver sits pretty close to my bow and it’s a little tight to get to the elevation adjustment. May be a problem if I need to make a quick adjustment during a hunting situation but this may just be my lack of coordination with my left hand.
The sight was easy to install I couldn’t get a preprinted label to match my bow to my liking so I used one of the plain white labels that they supply and made my own marks. I really like the windage adjustment on this sight.
That was one of the main reasons I bought this sight. While adjusting my old sight I kept bouncing to the right and left of bull’s eye and could never get perfectly centered. The single click adjustment really helps with that.
I have already recommended this sight to a friend that shoots an older HHA sight that doesnt have the single click windage adjustment and I think he is going to get one.
Steiner Predator AF 8×30 Binoculars are an individual focus Porro prism optic designed for quickly viewing subjects that are at least 60 feet away. You focus them by adjusting the diopter for each eye separately so that subjects at infinity are just in focus.
Then, everything from infinity to 60′ will be in focus whenever you look through the binocular. Optically, Steiner’s High Contrast Color Adjustment Technology (CAT) provides a crisp image. The Predator AF 8×30’s open bridge body is lightweight at only 19 oz.
, IPX4 rainproof, and rubber armored. Winged eyecups help to block out side light for those not wearing eyeglasses.
Just got these as a replacement for the nearly 20yo Predators that quickly became a necessity in my deer hunting arsenal. After surviving 3 tree stand falls during that time, I finally managed to break them at the hinge by improperly storing them in my pack.
The image was still crystal clear through both reticles but after a (successful) season of using one as monocular and realizing the limitations I decided to send them in to see what Steiner would do.
Considering they were well outside the original warranty I was satisfied with getting roughly half what I paid for them toward the updated pair, particularly since these came with the new lifetime warranty.
From my recollection the new 8×30 AF’s don’t seem to be much of an improvement over my old Predator’s visual clarity or brightness, but I couldn’t have been happier with the image quality of my old pair so no complaints there.
I think what I love most about the updated pair is the open center hinge that allows me to hold them more securely at the center with one hand. I commonly found myself doing this with my old pair to reduce the shake that tends to show up holding them on one side after a long day of still hunting, it just feels a lot more natural with these.
I would not say these are a “do everything” pair of binoculars, but rather ones perfectly suited for a specific task. I have a pair of 12×50’s setup for quick connect to a tripod and just as I would never use those in heavier cover, the 8×30 Predators are not ideal for wide open spaces and long distance due to the lower magnification and smaller objective.
Though if you’re looking for a pair to pick apart thickets inside 150 yards that’s light in the hand, easy to use while loaded down with gear and exceptionally clear I have yet to find any I’d rather be carrying.
I purchased my PREDATOR AF 8X30 from Amazon and they are amazing for my intended purpose of bird and scenery watching. Very well made and sturdy. However, Im skeptical these we made Germany because nowhere on the box, literature or binoculars does it say where they were made.
Actually on the box itself there is a little sticker saying Burris company. I suspect these were produced under license by Burris in China and marketed as a STEINER model, which is fine since they were affordable and well made.
I could be wrong however. If somebody from STEINER or an industry expert knows for certain if the Predator AF 8×30 are indeed manufactured in Germany please chime in.
The features in a replacement hunting binocular for my 37 year old 7X50c Commander that I’ve used on nineteen hunting trips were: high durability, high clarity, auto-focus, lighter weight, smaller dimensions.
These features were to be sacrificed for the 7X50c Commander’s compass, mil scale and larger field of view (FOV). Upon comparison, the new 8X30 Predator AF FOV and low light clarity seemed as much as my larger binocular.
The smaller dimension and lighter weight permits storage with a range finder in a cover harness that is equal to the weight of the 7X50/harness. Lighter, smaller packages are important attributes highly appreciated by senior hunters during long 13 hour days stalking through rugged terrain.
The 8X30 Predator AF is a cost effective solution for hunters desiring an auto-focus binocular having durable, lightweight, bright/clear prey contrasting view, dimensions fitting within binocular cover chest harness.
This binocular exceeded my expectations as a replacement for my old 7X50c Commander.
Coyote hunting at night can be an exciting and challenging experience. While it is possible to take coyotes at night with a rifle, calling and spot lighting are the most effective methods. Night hunting also provides an opportunity to take coyotes that are not easily approached during the day.
However, there are a few things to consider before venturing out into the night. First, always be sure of your target before taking the shot. Second, be aware of your surroundings and be sure to use a good light source to avoid running into obstacles.
Finally, be sure to have a backup plan in case you are unable to take a coyote.
