Instructions are stamped on the housing along with center line and increments. Simply read them. I recommended dousing it down in WD-40 and letting it set for a while before using, also run all the adjustments in and out several times and before each use.

Quality is good but I wouldnt consider it a precision tool. Check all the adjustment wheels and snug them with the included Allen wrench, one of mine wasnt tightened at all and was loose in the box. A good oiling and work out should remove any burrs or imperfect threads.

Take your time and dont force it, it could break. If it feels like its binding up, stop and check your work. it should work with just your hands. Ive seen some pics of some wrecked sights and I just have to think someone should have paid to have the work done.

Came in a nice case with 2 sets of jaws and a Allen wrench. I just put 4 sets of night sights on so its already paid for itself times 2. Should last a long time if its taken care of. Happy with purchase and recommended if you have decent basic mechanical knowledge.

Title says it all. I had my doubts, wondering if the aluminum housing would stand up to the alleged super human powers of the factory installed XD sights, but after insuring pusher to slide clearance fore and aft, and left and right and adding a piece of large wire tie to shim one side of the slide in addition to the provided plastic pads to keep it horizontal, two moderate turns of my 15mm wrench resulted in the pop of surrender as the rear sight slid off with minimal pressure.

The replacement sight slid in with only hand cranking the crank rod furnished. Removing the front sight required removing the elevation table and placing the slide where the recoil spring is held in the hole vacated by the elevation table screw and shimming the slide with the plastic pads and my wire tie as with the rear sights.

No wrench was required to remove the front sight, merely hand turning the provided crank. Reinstallation was equally easy after moving the wire tie shim to the opposite side of the slide. Maybe I got lucky, but I believe that with careful layout regarding insuring clearance, and shimming to insure the slide stays parallel to the line of push, my results can be repeated.

The provided pads can not be expected to support the XD slide and must be shimmed! Clamping the pusherto a table or in a vise is a great help. Best of luck, yall!.

I have personally never used another sight pusher but this one got the job done. Centering the upper was impossible so using the little adjustment Guage on top is not helpful at all. Everything is metal and plastic so be sure to not scratch your slide.

Use the plastic inserts that come with it and be certain there is perfect clearance between your upper and the sight pusher. The pusher actually bent my OEM glock sight but I didn’t care since I was replacing it with the Truglo TFX pro.

Very difficult to fully center the sight because sight is impaired by device; after several attempts I finally got it visually centered (will have to test it soon). Additionally, be sure to oil all threads very well because they are very sticky to start.

Use a good gun oil and coat every thread very well for optimum effectiveness of adjusting arms. Overall the quality of the device is 8/10 but it sure gets the job done. If you’re trying decide between a more expensive rear sight tool and this one, choose this one.

Have some patience and figure out how to use it before making your first attempt and you’ll be happy. The tool comes in an awesome carrying case and I believe it would work for any sight adjustment of any pistol.

For precise centering of sight, you will need to make multiple attempts and use a micrometer. But overall, as long as you’re careful and patient, you cannot get a better valued product. Pros: inexpensive, great value, works on any sight, gets the job done.

Con: metal (up and down) adjustment needs to be padded as the included plastic protection piece moves around when adjusting slide.

Bought these targets because I was having trouble spotting my shots at 200 yards and beyond. At 200 yards the holes were not any easier to see than with one of the much cheaper targets. There was no colored entry hole to make it easy to spot, just a hole in a black background.

Couldn’t spot my shots with rifle or spotting scope. Still had to walk back and forth from shooting position to target to check where I was hitting. Highly disappointed.

I am always surprised when I pull these targets out of my bag and people haven’t seen them. Once I show them what they do they think they are terrific. I use them all the time for new pistol shooters at close range and rifle shooters at 50 yards.

The instant feedback is very helpful. I use 3 inch targets for precision pistol practice at 50 feet. I use the 6 inch targets for action shooting and general practice. I figure if I can keep 5 shots with by 2 inch S&W at 20 feet all in the black I’m ok.

These targets are truly one of the best shooting inventions in 10 years!.

I have had several of every model since the original (ok, I didn’t buy the 2. 5). This is my favorite yet. I look at it here ( ) if I am allowed to post a link that is. The 3. 0s in general are great.

Trigger, power, safety, hopper, etc. The only issue I have ever had with the original and 2. 0 were the sights and the safety/cocking lever, (the sights weren’t really an issue as the range on a bug gun is quite short.

) 3. 0 fixed that, but the Advance Combat’s fiber optic sights are very nice. It actually gives a more realistic sight picture and rapid target acquisition (if you are using the sights. ), I wouldn’t say necessary, but definitely nice.

All of the bug-a-salts are also natural pointers (point and shoot) and this one is no different. The finish is also really nice, I don’t know which finish I like better the RealTree or this. If you are on the fence, you won’t be disappointed with this fly gun, if you are not on the fence, you don’t need to be reading this because you probably already bought it 😁.

This thing is a blast. literally. My original 1. 0 BaS started having issues with the Safety so I drilled it out to see what would happen. It was great not to have to move the Safety between shots. My friend however had bragged about getting the 3.

0 and I decided I deserved it. Not sure why but just this weekend, a massive amount of flies showed up in my garage and workshop. (Not related to dead rodents like normal. ) Between the two BaSs, I must have shot upwards of 100 flies with the two guns.

Actually had to reload them. I love the sights on the 3. 0 and the Safety is perfect, there if you want it but it doesn’t get in the way of your ability to take out fly after fly after fly. So fun and useful.

THE NEW FIBER OPTIC SIGHTS ARE AWESOME !! they make target acquisition better than ever for the bug-a-salt pestilence elimination platform. the only drawback is it seems the rear fiber optic sight replaces the standard orange retracting sight which also served as a loaded chamber indicator.

if the fiber optic sights can be kept & a new loaded chamber indicator function added somewhere along the top rail, this would be ideal for all situations. if bug-a-salt develops a customizable sight which can be switched out with tritium night sights, it would be the greatest version in history !!!!!! as with all 3.

0 models the refined pump action and upgraded firing power are massive improvements over the 1st & 2nd generations. keep the upgrades coming bug-a-salt team !!!.

This is not illuminated with little chance you’ll be able to see the screen display adequately in low light. If you want an illuminated rangefinder, look for one that has a red OLED or similar illuminating feature.

I’ve seen a review stating that this works through glass – it does not. This is a very basic rangefinder that has two settings – one for archery, which includes angular detection to calculate the true horizontal distance needed for estimating drop.

The other is the firearm setting – assuming you are using a high power rifle and not needing to calculate drop. This is a very inexpensive rangefinder, and probably ok for daylight use; however, I don’t recommend it for low light conditions (dawn and dusk).

Great product. Works as advertised. Only con for me is the yardage display is very small. Awesome for the money.

I just purchased this weeks ago and I dont know why I went all these years without it. Its so accurate. I use it in the woods and range things around me like trees stumps so when that deer appears I know the distance.

These are the second pair of Steiner binoculars i own. First pair i bought was the C5 predator 12×42 and i still have them and they are great. I am getting older and was wanting a stronger pair and the HX 15×56 are awesome.

They are very crisp, clear. Looking long distance is unbelievable. They are heavier than most but are well made, Glad i got them. They are priced right also.

I am extremely happy with these 15 x 56’s. They are very clear and the details you see when looking through them is very good. I didn’t want to spend the $2600 for a set of Swaros so o did lots of homework and settled on these.

Side by side these are comparable and the clarity may even be more crisp than the Swaros. Where my Steiner’s got beat out by a slim margin was in very low light. The swaros seemed to gather light slighty better.

For the money I am very happy with these binos. They are better than any Vortex i compared them to. My next choice may have been a set of the Sig Zulu’s. I wish I could have found some to compare to the Steiner’s but the long and good reputation of the Steiner’s swayed me.

The only reason for not giving these 5 stars is because they got beat out in the low light. One more thing i really like is the side shields. I cant say how much it helps to block out light from my parifrial vision when looking through them.

Absolutely exceptional binocular, particularly for the money. I also have Zeiss, Swarovski, & Vortex optics in my stable, and I reach for these nearly every time. They’re the total package. I honestly can’t fathom how they haven’t become the most popular binocular in hunting.

I’m posting a review after getting an email. Fast shipping, I appreciate receiving this, but I’m a complete newbie at all this! I still can’t see anything as everything looks like the bokeh effect, everything looks like colored circles.

It would be nice if the brand could include a user guide, even a tiny card that can direct us to an online user guide. I’m using my DSLR’s viewfinder and taking photos as my view piece. I even tried using another DSLR to see if my view changes.

I may buy the diagonal in the future because it’s a little disappointing I couldn’t see anything despite looking at all the telescope’s contents. Perhaps when it’s warmer I’ll try to figure it out better.

I think the machining tolerances were a bit tighter than needed on my particular flattener. Took a few uses to go smoothly on and off the scope. The rotation adjustment was also very stiff for first few uses.

After purchasing and using this flattener I think I would have spent the extra dollars for the. 8x reducer and flattener version that has field rotation markings. This definitely does the job and works well after being broken in a bit.

You will definitely want to try some different adjustment settings beyond the manufacture’s recommendations to get it “just right. “.
