Most. 22lr rifles have a scope with a magnification of 4x. This means that the object you are looking at will appear four times larger than it would without the scope. The scope also has a crosshair or reticle, which is used to help aim the rifle.
The scope’s crosshair is usually adjustable, so that you can calibrate it to your specific needs.

Hawke did it right with the 28 magnification crossbow scope. With the slightly higher magnification it works very well with the slower crossbows like the Excalibur Micro 335’s by providing higher magnification at the low end.
At the higher speeds of the fastest crossbows like the Ravin’s it really shines with even higher magnification than others’ scopes. The reticle is simple and not cluttered with its small crosshairs from 20 yards on out to 100 yards.
But wait, there’s more! It has ballistic windage holdover dots on the reticle all the way out to 100 yards as well! With a little bit of practice in the wind to verify windage holds this reticle is a blessing at longer ranges, even in light winds.
The only drawback to the whole scope is when the illumination is turned on the only thing that is illuminated is the center column of crosshairs, and not the yardage numbers or windage holdover dots.
Therefore, at dawn and dusk when many shots happen on game, this requires you make sure that you are using the correct crosshair for the distance to the target and concentrate to see the windage dot if shooting in the wind.
Hawke might be the best crossbow scope manufacturer. I have bought 3 scopes for each of my crossbows. They are absolutely crisp and clear and unbelievably accurate. I can not say a bad thing about them.
I love the illuminated circle reticles on my old scopes and I will have to adjust to the new one. It has yardage all the way out to 100 yards and also has windage adjustments up to 20mph. Pretty sophisticated.
I am a huge fan. I highly recommend taking off your cheap factory scope and getting a Hawke, like they say, they have perfected the crossbow scope. and I agree!.
After testing several scopes for my Killer Instinct 415 crossbow I am happy to say I’ve found a perfect match with the Hawke XB30 Compact 1. 5-636 SR scope. It was easy to zero at 20 yards. Then 30 yards I adjusted the speed ring as instructed and the other reticles matched well with the speed of the crossbow.
After a few more test the final speed ring setting was 415 fps. Once the binocular focus was set it remained in great focus for all ranges. See photos for shots out to 90 yards This is the only scope I tested that stays focused at all ranges without adjusting the fast focus.
It’s clear and has illumination for dark periods. The reticle design/layout is awesome with fast reference for each 5 and 10 yard range indicated plus 10 mph windage allowances. With a life time warranty I am confident in my shots.

MRT (Multi-Ring Technology) pin guard and pin versions come with two multi-ring options, small and large, as well as one single ring. Thisreased versatility ensures proper peep to sight alignment with most setups.
The multi-ring options provide the archer with much higher level of accuracy in varying lighting situations by always giving the archer bright visible ring to align their peep. Further upgradeslude larger, more visible level, better protected, fiber optics, and an improved lighting caTy that allows the sight light (not-included) to be more evenly distributed and protects unwanted light from escaping.

Nice to have the 5 pin head for quicker shots on target for ranges up to 60 yards. For any longer shooting, the slider allows for accurate adjustment. You can also adjust the slider for ranges from 20-60 and not use the other pins, if you have the time to adjust.
It really helps when shooting gaps in yardages. The sight itself is built better than the USS Fitzgerald, thankfully and offers near infinite adjustments.
Easy to install easy to sight in. I did not use the calibration tape I instead sighted 20,30,40,50 yards scribed a small line for each then matched the best tape to the scribe marks. Sight is spott on for each yardage.
My bow is an older High Country brand that chrono’s at 278fps with a 300grain arrow/100gr point total weight of 400gr.
This sight is so simplistic yet so rugged it is by far the best bow sight I’ve used to date. Simple 2 hole mounting takes the guess work out of it and the 2nd and 3rs axis adjustments let you get lethal accuracy out of this sight.

The Hawke laser range finder range is designed to provide a variety of accurate distance measurements with the press of a button. They have been ergonomically designed to fit your hand with easy access to both buttons.
Really good product and very accurate. Easy to use! The field mode is “interesting” I had it on this setting whilst zeroing. It saw through the slits in the pallet to which the target was attached, and measured to the backstop behind.
Switch this mode off, accurate (and I measured it!) to the target. Brilliant!!.
This is a decent little LRF for the money. It’s basic but works very well and is accurate. You will need to spend more for top features but if all you want is basic range finding you can’t go wrong. Even at the RRP it’s good, but at under £110 it was a bargain!.

IšverstiShow in original languageI have been using this sight for a few months. It is very smooth and easy to set-up. I like the bright green pin housing, making lining up with your peep sight easy. I love the metal yardage plates, they look awesome and you never need to worry about weather.
Issues: The biggest problem I found, like others who have reviewed this sight, is the housing is loose. It rattles as you move. It did not effect my shooting accuracy but it made noise and felt unstable.
I contacted CBE twice and never got a response, which was very frustrating. I was able to fix the issue by cranking down of the windage dial. This fixed the rattling issue but I cannot use the micro windage adjustments anymore.
IšverstiShow in original languageLove this sight!! I purchased the multi-pin sight after using the CBE single pin sight for target season. I found CBE’s sights to be incredibly well constructed. All the adjustments are easy and the distance indicator is made from metal as opposed to other sights which use sticker tape.

This is the Magnum Pistol Powder in the IMR lineup. If it says Magnum, IMR 4227 is the choice for true magnum velocities and performance. In rifles, this powder delivers excellent velocity and accuracy in such cartridges as the 22 Hornet and 221 Fireball.
IMR4227 is my powder of choice for 357M, 44M, 45 Colt, and 454 Casull. Yes, choosing different powders for each of these loadings can give slightly better performance in terms of muzzle velocity, accuracy, and burn; but this powder is an excellent choice for loading all these power handgun rounds.
All modern powders seem to be very stable across ambient conditions. Specifically, over a period of five years, an 8lb bottle of IMR4227 yielded extremely consistent performance loaded in rounds regardless of temperature and humidity.
I’m on my third bottle, ready to purchase the 4th.
Very versatile powder. I bought this powder to develop target and hunting loads for 44 cal. Marlin 1894 CB and a. 357 mag. Winchester 1873. Both with 24′ bbl. I needed a powder where I could really control the maximum velocity below 1500 FPS.
Some loads needed to be between 1100 – 1200 FPS. Some loads needed to be tween 1400 – 1500 FPS. That’s hard to accomplish with typical powders used with. 357 mag and 44 mag and get consistent accuracy out of longer battled rifles.
But the old fashioned IMR4227 really hits the mark.
I was an Alliant 2400 powder user for my magnums (44 and 357) but with the powder shortage for the last year plus, I happened to find this. It works very well for my 200 grain XTP. 430 cal (44 mag) at 26 grains and I have taken a deer with this load out to 45 yards.
It is a little slower powder than the 2400, so a longer barrel is better to get the full velocity out of it. Compared to 2400, this seems to push in the recoil a little softer, which is good, but 44 mag is stout stuff.
2400 is loaded in my loadings at 23 grains for same 200 XTP. In my Ruger Super Redhawk 9. 5 inch barrel, I can group both 2400 and 4227 within inches at 100 yards on rest. Don’t have chronograph, but they seem to be similar.
4227 is more expensive and you have to use more of it for same or similar velocity is the only negative, but it is available right now from time to time. 2400 not yet. I will probably go back to 2400 when it’s available because I’m so used to it and it’s a little more economical.
As far as dirtiness, both powders are very similar. Remember, short barrels and this powder will not get more velocity than 2400 as the powder won’t have finished burning in the barrel to generate the velocity.
As far as temperature finickiness, I have not seen any problems from warm to cold outside. Always goes bang.
For visual efficiency, extended-viewing comfort and object detail, traditional spotting scopes can’t compare to these high power military binoculars. Originally developed for perimeter and Border Patrol applications, they now serve military and law enforcement agencies around the world.
The massive 80mm objective lenses and unmatched Steiner quality deliver far superior low-light performance and image acuity for Artillery teams, seal missions, surveillance missions, air traffic controllers, Forest fighters and Naval patrols.
All the features of the 15×80 with even higher magnification for greater range without sacrificing the field of view. Excellent for Border observation, Airports and airspace monitoring. Makrolon housing is durable polycarbonate with NBR long life rubber armoring, creating a lightweight, rugged chassis that withstands 11 GS of impact.
Impervious to harsh conditions for generations of trusted use. Tripod mount is included for perfect image stability for long term observation.
The scope of a 22lr rifle is relatively limited compared to other rifles. It is not as powerful as other rifles and has a shorter range. It is however, a very popular choice for plinking and small game hunting.
