Being a mom of three active boys, now ages 12, 9 and 6, we’ve gone through our fair share of scooters. This scooter is BY FAR the best one we’ve ever had. It’s so smooth, for lack of a better word. My sons are pretty hard on their scooters.

Doing jumps, rough terrain, etc. , and it’s holding up great. They are now all fighting over the ‘nice’ scooter, and I’ll admit I wish they all had this one. it’s quiet, looks nicer and again is just more durable.

We really love this scooter! This was our first “real” scooter after owning several of another popular, collapsible brand. I was a little skeptical about the price but our other scooters just haven’t held up well for how we used them and I like that my son will get several years out of this one since he’s 7 now.

I was impressed when we received it because it’s definitely well-built, solid, and sturdy. I’m not a big fan of assembling kids toys but as far as assemblies go, this was one of the easiest we’ve experienced.

My only complaint is that there weren’t any marks to help you center/align the bars so you had to eyeball it and hope it was centered. While this method has never worked well for hanging pictures, the scooter was fine.

It’s definitely high quality and looks it. My son and my girly girl daughter both loved the colors. It rides smoothly and the handle bars are wide enough for an adult to ride it, as well! I’m not sure about the brake just yet.

It’s still quite stiff and it’s hard for my son to exert enough pressure to stop the scooter. I’m hopeful it will improve with additional use. Overall, this is a pretty good buy if you’re looking to take the next step for a serious scooter that will last.

My daughter is 5 and isn’t quite big enough to use this consistently but we’ll be getting another for her when she’s older. The author of this review received a free sample of this product.

We got this scooter to test and my boys loved testing it out. They are 11 and 16 (and 40!) and were all about seeing what this scooter could do. We live in a cold climate, so they weren’t able to ride it outside a ton, they rode it the house and in a large (very low pile) carpeted gymnasium.

I got the pro xxx Razor scooter so everyone in the household could use it. It’s extremely sturdy and functions well. Has great weight bearings so almost any size person can ride. It’s high performance is capable of stunts and is light weight with the aluminum deck.

I love the fact that you can add aftermarket parts to customize your scooter as you like. This pro xxx scooter is one for the skate park and will last for many years!.

I got this Pro X Scooter complimentary in exchange for my honest review. First off, this scooter looks so cool!! I love the neon green handlebars. This is also a very sturdy scooter. And man those wheels can go! They are 100 mm urethane wheels so they really go.

This has really motivated my son to want to go outside more and play because he thinks it’s just so cool!.

My daughter loves this scooter. It is easy to assemble, and since you get to put the non slip foot sticker on, there is a teeny bit of personalization too. The scooter rides very smooth and glides across the surface.

The handlebars are set further apart than some other brands and it took my kid a little bit to adjust. She said once she got used to it, she actually thought it was easier to control and do tricks on.

He wears a helmet when he does. This is his feedback. It feels solid, it rides smooth, it’s just the right size, and he can do tricks on it. It is a bit tough to make turns. I like the design and it seems like it will last a while.

On the negative, it gets misaligned quite a bit which leads to the annoying need to have to loosen, tighten and then readjust. Overall, a quality product I would recommend for kids.

I bought this scooter for my 11yo. He LOVES LOVES it! He had surgery on both his feet in January so his balance is not always there. He feels total control on it and I feel confident he can get back to himself and playing without the risks of falling and injuring himself (not anymore than a normal boy injury)! My teen loves it. I used it too and it has smooth wheels that roll you longer than the scooter I have (mine has bigger wheels-adult version). He jumps with this scooter and the handle is the perfect width.

We don’t have it that long yet, to know how it will hold up with the use it is getting, but so far (about one month and nearly daily use), we have not seen signs of wear or squeeky sounds.

My 8 year old got this for his birthday, he put it together himself (with supervision) no problem. We did have an issue with the bearing but contacted customer support, supplied pictures and they had a fix out to us so quickly.

Now that the scooter is fixed he is loving it again and has already put miles on it and lots of jumps. So happy with this purchase and would definitely purchase again.

This scooter is awesome. I live near the beach and I’ve been riding a bike but pedaling in south Florida heat gets tiring quick. I’ve only had this scooter for a couple days but I’ve already put quite a few miles on it.

Its very responsive and the hydraulic brakes work flawlessly. It does take some getting used to to turn it with these fat tires but it’s not a hard at all. Shipping took about a week and a half and they called me the day before and an hour before the delivery so that worked out great.

Overall I’m so stoked I bought this scooter!.

I love this electric scooter! I’m lucky to live close to my work place, about 2 blocks away to be exact, and this scooter is my work commuter (as long as the weather is tolerable). The 20-mile range on a charge means that I charge it up less than once per week.

Since it’s electric it’s very quiet, so I don’t disturb anyone if I’m riding early in the morning. This is not a vehicle for getting around town, but for a fun ride around the neighborhood, etc. You won’t be disappointed!.

Awesome fat tire scooter. It can go on grass, bumpy sider walks, and trails. I live in a wooded area in tenn and super happy with this. the light is bright and the brakes are really smooth. I take this down when we fish at night and pack my gear on my back and still have not lost any power.

I love my scooter! What you see in the description and image is what you get! I live in a city environment so I use the scooter to go to and from work once in a blue moon and to visit folks or out in the city (usually no more than 20 minutes one way) and usually on sport mode 2 at 18 mph.

The battery usually lasts for 2 rides before it gets down to 3 bars and then those bars can last for about another two rides or until I get too nervous to ride on just one battery bar indicator…ha. Best features: It does go 18 mph on sport mode 2 and on mode 1 max at 10 mph.

I use the 2nd mode when I am riding with others on their own scooter and it doesn’t go as fast. I love that the scooter has lights, turn signals, a bell, and folds down so nicely! Overall, I love the scooter and am SOOOO grateful for the purchase as I can get around more easily when I want to.

I don’t have to use rideshare programs or rental scooters as much so it also is saving me money / I am getting my money’s worth quickly! Some things I wish and have curiosities about Board size, bell, turn signal buttons, and instructions.

Board: I wish the board size was a little larger and not a skateboard material. When going over bumps, it feels like a skateboard and I can feel the impact through my shoes. This might also be a combination of the wheels and the thinner board (especially in comparison to other rental scooters).

Bell: I LOVE that the bell was included yet wish it was a spin bell-like the rental scooters. Turn Signal Buttons: I love that this is a feature yet would like it if it was a switch instead of a button as it is hard to click the button while riding the scooter.

You have to slow down, then look down to then push the button, and then pick up speed again. Maybe this is just my caution to not lose balance to fall off the scooter while finding the turn signal button.

Instructions: Grateful for simple instructions yet it did not inform me where to put the bell yet maybe this was a gift and not part of the original packaging. I would say the bell should always be included.

Other suggestions: It might be cool to look into when the front clamp to allow the scooter to fold is not attached to the scooter, the scooter pole only would be able to move straight down to connect to the back of the wheel to be locked into it’s folded position.

Maybe create a bag for this product to make it easier to carry as the 26 lbs. is a little much for one-handed carrying for a longer period of time (i. e. More than 2-5 minutes). Overall, I love it and am grateful for this purchase.

I just wanted to give a quick review this time praising the utter toughness of this little beast. I have owned this scooter for over 2 years now putting I’d guess (from my work commutes alone) thousands of miles on this machine.

I’ve ridden through rain and snow and everything in between with honestly very little maintenance. Actually NONE. The lone problem I had and it was strictly due to my own haphazard driving was a control board error that literally stopped me in my tracks one night.

I was driving in horrible rain and through deep puddles submerging even the deck and my work boots. I made it just fine all the to work and then half way home before she “died” and I had to call an Uber.

I thought my baby had finally passed on, lol. I stuck her in the corner of my kitchen and rode one of my other scooters (110 lbs not meant for commuting) for about a week or two. One day I heard my little city rider literally calling to me 😃 as it sat in the corner and chirped over and over?? I turned it on and the error code was gone.

I left it for another week I’d guess as it continued to randomly “chirp” because I wanted to make certain it had dried out or whatever. When I finally made my way back to her she worked flawlessly as if nothing ever happened.

Needless to say I avoid all wet conditions now but I’m proud to report my City Rider still motors on. It has good brakes, good speed and the range is enough for 7-8 miles at top speed. Highly recommend to anyone on the fence about purchasing.

Edit: I just realized that the new city riders come with a much larger battery than my version has. The 10ah battery version should take you ATLEAST 10-12 miles at top speed.

On asphalt, the ride is smooth. No issues. For semi-steep climbs, it can struggle pretty hard if you don’t build up momentum first. For steeper climbs, it will get you most of the way (assuming built up momentum), but you’ll need to finish it on foot.

This isn’t too terrible an issue where I live, but keep this in mind. The ride on asphalt is where the wheels begin to show their flaw. While there is suspension in the scooter, the wheels themselves do not–they are solid rubber with no air inside.

This means sidewalks with many indents and/or cracks are going to slap your lower back a little. It’s not a skull massage by any means, and won’t exhaust you; but it is jarring enough. All in all, you get what you pay for, and I mean that positively.

If where you live has bike lanes or traffic is used to pedestrian crossings, then this scooter is perfectly fine for commuting or general riding. If your only hope is a busy road where drivers won’t care about you at all or the sidewalk, however, I would suggest holding off a little longer and save some more money for some of the pricier scooters with both scooter suspension and pneumatic tires.

I live in the mountains, for what that’s worth. Also, be sure to use the break more often than you might think when on a decline. It’s very awkward at first, but eventually you learn when to both time it as well as keep the right pressure to make it smooth and avoid going too fast and losing control.

This scooter pretty much met most of my expectations. For what it costs, it hits all the areas of what makes it a decent scooter pretty well. Acceleration, handling, smoothness, break response, battery life, durability, battery life, and charging time aren’t all uniformly exceptional, but they’re satisfactory.

Assembly is very easy, and everything felt pretty well made and solid coming right out of the box. You almost don’t need the manual, since every part of folding, unfolding, screwing the handlebars in place, ect is very self-explanatory.

The battery life is very sensitive to the way you choose to ride. If you put it at the most powerful setting and ride at full throttle, you will not go much further than about 10 miles based on my test runs.

If you coast, go easy with the acceleration and keep it in a power-conserving setting, then you might think the ride will feel a bit sluggish and boring, but you will have effortless and reliable transportation across the full range advertised.

It’s faster than walking and about the same speed as biking with a cheaper or comparably priced bike. without any physical exertion beyond just standing; I find this to be a winning quality when it’s very hot outside.

The tires work well and the whole frame is rugged and reliable, so far. I drove over side walks and cracked roads with gravel near Yale, and while it could do with a good suspension/shock absorbers, the big wide air-filled pneumatic tires do a respectable job at keeping the bumps from being jarring.

Had absolutely no problem with modest off-road-levels of cruising. The acceleration is satisfying with a full charge on a flat surface or down a hill, and the disc breaks are mated well with the power for safety.

It seems like when the battery is less than half full, or an incline occurs, or the motor gets too hot, the power drops off a lot, and the most powerful setting feels really more like a cross between the lowest and medium setting.

If you slow down or give the scooter a break for half a minute, the power returns on a flat surface again for a while. I don’t recommend stressing the motor out to its maximum potential for long periods of time.

The battery will drain and the acceleration will just stop being fun. However, it will continue to buzz along at a steady 10mph (below the advertised max speed) at the very least if you wish, so I can’t complain about it as a good short/medium range city commuter.

The headlights and tail lights are more than bright enough to keep you safe in terms of alerting others that you’re on a road, but the headlight doesn’t provide much more vision at night than just what’s directly within about 8 feet of you.

which is sufficient to ride around safely all things considered. All in all, you don’t pay anything in gas and you don’t exert yourself physically to use this scooter. It’s very fun for short bursts of smooth acceleration and very practical for commuting, even if the roads driven on aren’t of the best quality (thanks to the great tires it has).

I wish the power was a little better and more consistent, but I’d say it’s worth the money for what it’s intended to be.

This Hiboy S2 scooter has been a hoot to use. It goes pretty fast reaching 19mph, much better than the average 15. 5mph from other scooters of this price range. It reaches this speed very quickly too.

The scooter offers solid tires front and back. These are the tires you want if you are using the scooter as a commuter as you don’t have to worry about the tires getting flat. The ride is very good and it has the added benefit of a rear suspension.

It does get a bit bumpy if the roads are cracked and uneven. The tires grip the road very good especially for being solid tires. The scooter offers rear mechanical disk brake and a front electronic brake.

Unlike other scooters their electronic brake has a dedicated brake thumb level to control it. You can basically ride the scooter with your hands in the natural position of holding the handle bar with the thumb resting on the thumb throttle and thumb brake.

This makes this scooter so easy to ride as you don’t need to reach for a trigger be it brake or throttle. This is my favorite feature of this scooter. The range I get is around 11miles on sport mode going full throttle, around 15 miles if I use comfort mode and try to conserve energy.

Scooter has pretty good lighting for night riding. They have high mounted headlight, low mounted taillight. Also included in under deck mounted light to help your scooter to be more easily seen at night.

I would still recommend a high power front light and a helmet mounted taillight. Things that can be improved upon Give the option to have a front pneumatic tire as this will help immensely with ride quality with uneven roads Things it has over other scooters in this price range Very strong motor 350w Deck lights for night safety Dedicated brake lever for the Electronic Brake Solid tires front and back to alleviate flats anxiety (although it might be a con if you ride on rough uneven roads) Has a dedicated hook on handlebar stem that can be used to hang bags or other accessories.

Pros: – Decent speed for getting around, close enough to compete with cars on small roads and downhill for when pedestrians are too present. Max 25KmH on flats and can get up to 38 going downhill. – Versatile, folds up nicely, though a little bit heavier than other models it still can be moved around relatively easily.

– No need for large charger, simply the clover cord which is much more convenient. – IPX5 water resistant so it can handle a little bit of rain which was a selling point for me personally as I want to get places even through the rain.

– Holds charge well. Using it Monday to Friday in regular 15-minute trips around 2-3 times a day I could still push for a few more however I charge mine weekly and it ends up with around 25-30% on Friday evening.

– Well priced during sales so grab them when you get the chance after considering the following cons. Cons: – Front brakes so always be cautious with your weight distribution as Auckland is quite hilly as we all know.

– Still limited to 25KmH so you know, its fast but not incredibly fast comparatively (imagine having speed as a pro and a con. ) – No suspension in this model so you are feeling every little bump on the way.

– Air tires are good at eliminating a small number of bumps, but a pain to change should they deflate. No spare is provided. Notes: – Locking it up for trips. I use mine primary when I can bring it with me for the entire time or when I can store it in an exclusive area i.

e break room at work. Scooter thieves are getting bolder and bolder so get a good U-Lock and 1 to 2 more solid cord locks to add a bit more intimidation and protection to it. Remember locking it up in an area too secluded gives a thief a long time to themselves when working on the lock and locking it up somewhere too public advertises the scooter for theft especially if it is there on a regular basis.

8. 5/10 Just because you can get real familiar with getting around at max speeds and it is a happy middle ground for performance and price.

I have a Gotrax Rival electric scooter. My kids have Razors we go scooting every weekend and dad wanted something to scoot but he didnt want electric. We got this for dad. I opened it. It came from a return centre so I was unsure but everything seemed brand new and in working condition.

It is so light. I think its about 12lbs but it doesnt feel like it at all! It is so smooth to ride its crazy Im used to picking up my 30lb electric one! Ive used mine to scoot and its doable for sure but in comparison this is like riding on a feather! To break you push on the back wheel.

Its not an instant break so give yourself space to slow down. I could probably commute to work on this even tho I have a hill or two about a mile away because I probably wouldnt have to work so hard to push.

If you have a flat commute this would definitely be nice.

I purchased this for my grandson — 12 going on 13 — and he loved it. Said the ride was very smooth and able to turn easily. It’s at the lowest handlebar setting and there is enough of an adjustment for when he grows.

My other grandson — 8 going on 9 — was so impressed with it that he wants one too. I like that it can fold for easy transport. Used it at local parks and will be taking it with us to the beach.

Good solid scooter for adult. I had to oil the stem for the handlebar. It stuck. I can see where some had trouble folding it but I managed ok. I like this while not perfect it is a well constructed scooter.

Max G30P is a mini tank- high quality, simple design, sleek, yet rugged. Love the Eco, Drive, Sport Modes. I have my 6 year old jump onboard with me and I find that Drive mode is the perfect speed for us to scoot around while maintaining a complete feeling of safety.

The Eco mode while very, very safe, however, it proved itself a bit boring as my six year old dissappointingly asked, “Is this the fastest it goes?”, before the laughter and joys fo the Drive mode. At the Sport mode and at full throttle, it can pace your ride at the speed of an average male running at top speed.

but then it can do it for about the distance of a full marathon. Only wish list item is having some shocks for those bumps you’ll encounter. The tires do an okay job absorbing some of the bumps, but having shocks would make a positive difference to overall ride comfort.

I’m sure that will, however, send the scooter over the $1000 mark which Ninebot has done a good job of avoiding to encourage larger market participation in this great product. Highly intuitive app and functions on the scooter- nothing is complicated.

Simple leisurely fun for the whole family. I think my wife might want one for herself as well now that she’s tried riding it and it is not at all intimidating- just a lot of fun. By the way Segway LA- very responsive, professional, and accommodating.

I forgot to add the quick charger to my scooter order. So I texted and asked if they could include the charger int he box of my scooter to save me on shipping- they happily obliged. Cool team there and I’ll be doing business with them again.

We were tired of the high cost of renting scooters and decided to purchase our own. We have been very happy with the Segway NineBot scooter. The pros: Easy to use. Most features are intuitive and user friendly.

Sturdy: These seem well built and aren’t flimsy or cheap. However, my only complaint is that the plastic clip that locks the stand into place broke on one of our scooters fairly soon after purchase with normal use.

I haven’t reached out to Segway yet for replacement so I can’t comment on their customer service. Good battery life: The stated battery life has been accurate in our experience. The display panel on the scooter shows remaining battery level.

There is an eco mode as an option if running low on battery charge but we have not needed to use it. 3 operating modes: One conserves power, one is good for crowded paths as it starts us a little more gently, and one is a sport mode that is awesome for open paths and max speed.

Cruise control: You have to first enable this feature in the app. When you hold a consistent speed for five seconds, you hear a beep and then the scooter goes into cruise mode and maintains that speed until you either brake or speed up.

I love this feature as I have carpel tunnel problems in my right hand and having a little relief from holding the accelerator is so great! Portable: This scooter folds and is not too heavy to be lifted.

It fits in the truck of my car. Great app: The app is easy to use and lets me add both of our scooters one on account. Once you’ve set up the app, it’s not required for riding the scooter. But I love the ability to record my ride and see the miles driven, the max speed, and my route.

You can also e-lock the scooter with the app. Nice design: This is a good looking scooter and seems to perform as well as the scooters we used to rent around town. Overall it’s a great scooter and I highly recommend it!.

Unboxing – The unboxing experience was super easy. The contents of the box were all packaged neatly and were all easy to remove. Sometimes when you receive a box that size, it’s difficult to reach everything but not in this case.

The scooter did not include a physical building guide but did provide a QR code to access the building instructions online. Assembly – Assembling the scooter was incredibly easy and went by quickly. As someone who has zero skills when it comes to putting things together, this scooter was a breeze.

In total, it took me about 15 minutes to put together. Adjusting the seat and handle bars through with the clamps is great and takes minimum effort. Adding the basket took me the longest time but that was more on me since I kept dropping the screws.

Product – On to the best part! The scooter itself is so much fun to ride around on. I took it out for a test drive after putting it together (the battery came fully charged so bonus points there!) and it was smooth and fast.

It was evening when I first went out so the addition of the headlight was much appreciated (hold down the button for it to power on and off). The seat on the scooter is comfy and once I found the right height for it, I had no issues adjusting to it.

The only minor issue I had was riding up my steep driveway. It took a bit to get to the top of it and I didn’t have any issues with other inclines in my neighborhood so I assume it was more on the driveway than the scooter.

Just thought I’d mention it. After some time with it, I can safely say that it was a great pick up. If you’re in the market for a well built, fast, fun scooter, I cannot recommend this one enough.

I love this scooter the best. I have another stand-up scooter but this one has quickly become my favorite for getting around. The basket is very convenient, too. The seat is super comfortable and the speed is just right for my needs.

The tires on these are regular tubes and tires that need to be inflated (just like a bicycle). This is different from my other scooter which has a hard rubber tire. But since I’m sitting down, the tire and tube set is far more comfortable than the hard rubber.

The headlight looks really nice, too. It’s pretty bright! Putting it together was simple. The handlebar folds down so all I needed to do was unfold the handlebar and lock it into place (very easy). Then put the seat in, adjust the height of the seat, and lock it into place.

The last step was to inflate the tires. That was it! I think it took me all of 15 min, max.

I am not giving 5 stars because it is not the best scooter out there regardless of price, but if I was rating it “for the money” I would have given 5 stars. Very solid build, smooth wheels, and a decent weight.

My daughter is 10 and it fits her very well, but is large enough for me to ride if I want to and I am a 6ft man. It would be nice if it was a little lighter, but you have to pay to play if you want light parts.

For the money, very hard to beat. Pre-builts from Lucky are like the Wethepeople and Sunday BMXs of the scooter world. Yes, there are better products out there but not at this price, for this level of compnents and quality.

Excellent scooter for doing stunts (so my Son says). Feels quite sturdy too. Only down side was the handlebars which were goo short as my Son is tall for his age.

The Razor Pro XX is an extremely well-made, sturdy scooter that is an great value as well. The attention to detail as well as the fit & finish is excellent. I like the feel of the handlebar grips and also like the size of the deck.

The rear brake is fantastic in its operation, plus it looks great. The weight capacity of the Razor Pro XX is a welcome 220lbs. so even an ‘old geezer’ like me can enjoy a ride around the neighborhood while I try to keep up with my daughter on her scooter.

One thing I have read in other reviews is that the fork/handlebar clamp can sometimes loosen up with use, so when I put mine together I put a couple dabs of locktight on the threads. Hopefully this will prevent the clamp from loosening.

Time will tell. Overall this is a well-made, attractive scooter for children & adults alike. I should mention that I don’t attempt to do tricks on my scooter, as I’m far too busy trying to keep myself from wiping out.

In any case I highly recommend the Razor Pro XX whatever your age. even for “really old teenagers” like myself.

Bought this scooter for my 9 year old son as an upgrade from the smaller foldable type. Compared to many scooters twice the price before making a decision on this one. Wasn’t interested in the skull & Gothic look of some other scooters.

This is a high quality scooter with a welded frame, longer deck, wider handle bars, and tasteful graphics. It is pro grade. My son takes it to a local skate park and loves it!.

The quality is very good for 9 y. o. – all metal, rubber holders, big and nicely designed standing platform. The only concern was that front part doesn’t adjust long enough to the top. So if your kid is pretty tall – measure the front part for his/her comfort to ride on it, maybe you’ll need something longer than that.

For 9 y. o. (about 50-55″ tall) the scooter fitted perfectly though.

This is great! As an adult who hasn’t really scootered ever (other than slowly playing with my child’s when it needs to be moved from the middle of the driveway), I was able to ride around a little on it.

My child and their friend were able to as well (they’re used to 3 wheeled scooters for younger kids) and got the hang of it pretty quickly. It came already put together, the only part I had to really do anything with, was removing a small wedge from the area that the handle bars snap into.

That was NOT fun to remove. Took about 1/2 an hour. But everything else was perfect and easy to click into position. We also love the colors and it arrived quick and in great shape. Already recommended it to the parent of my child’s friend.

Loved that it was on sale too! Could see this coming on a future family trip / park outing since it’s a lot smaller than a bike.

Bought this for my 8 year daughter who is 4 ft 6 in. She was a little skeptical in the beginning moving away from her smaller scooter. But after initial inhibition she has taken a great liking to this.

She takes it out almost everyday. Looking at the built and the height adjustment I believe she will keep it for years to come. Only downside was during transportation the status was not updated for a few days causing some anxiety.

After delivery it was all smooth and ready to go out of the box. We had to tighten or loosen a few screws here and there but it looks like it is worth the price.

We are so pleased we bought a second one. They have the wheels that are nice and quiet and ride really well. The scooters the other kids in our neighboorhood have, well those have hard wheels and clatter wherever they go.

These scooters not only have the good wheels but adjustable height so it is perfect for my 7 year old to grow with, and she just loves it. Also my 16 year old has one now too just adjust the handles a bit higher for her.

I am 40 and even I can ride around on them. For 80 bucks you just can’t go wrong with these. Would not recommend for a toddler though.

First off I have now got this usable, but total spend was more like 150, not the 79. 99 ticket price. Even at that price it is still good value, but it was a faff to get it up to a reasonable quality.

A lot of these issues could have been spotted with a simple check over, and I’d encourage sellers of this product to do so, and even consider feeding back to the manufactures that many of the components are arriving not-fit-for-purpose.

Major Issues: (First two pictures) Even after truing by a local bike shop the braking action is grabby as the wheels still have a wobble that was not possible to true. You can see this in the pictures where brake wear marks (from 3 miles of use) are uneven and show low points in the rim where the rim hoop is joined poorly.

(Third picture, silver component with slot, and fourth picture damage to plastic thread) Barrel adjuster on brake lever very poor and threads chewed up from factory. Corresponding thread in brake handle also chewed up.

(Fifth picture showing a caliper bolt with damaged thread from cross threading next to a good bolt) Bolt holding on front v-brake caliper arm cross threaded in the factory. The assembler new there was an issue as it was the only bolt that had been greased so they could tighten the bolt all the way in, somethingthat should not be done for brakes holding on the brake calipers.

Damage to the brake boss on the fork that interfered with the brake arm causing a stiff brake arm that didn’t return properly. Needed to file off the protrusion. Thread for stand on frame not clear. Bolts not freely tightening.

Minor issues: Brakes were assembled from the factory with no grease on the bosses, leaving brake arm motion inconsistent and stiff. The rim on the rear wheel isn’t really suitable for rim brakes as the braking surface is quite a way from perpendicular to the direction the brake blocks come in at.

Exaggerating the issue for clarity it’s like the brake blocks are trying to pinch two sides of a triangle, not ideal. The design of the stand leaves the scooter liable to topple with a light knock when on the stand.

Summary: When it is running it is a good concept, be it with poor braking performance – but equally likely to be better than you’d get on a small wheel scooter. Bargain basement parts combined with very poor quality control.

I have to recognise this might be an outsider in terms of average quality for this product but for so many defects to make it through I suspect the probability of encountering similar issues is high.

The manufacturer could argue I damaged the parts, but as aqualified mechanical engineer I can assure you that is not the case. Feel free to buy this if you are happy with the potential risk of needing to replace various bits and get the wheels trued as I have done.

If you are buying this hoping for something perfect then allow for time returning it to the seller for swapping if you receive something like I did.

It’s a downhill kick bike for riding down hill. Not good on the flat as the drop to the floor is quite high for the pushing leg. The description states features making it good over long distances but it’s for long distances taking your time or downhill.

I decided to keep it for occasional use but had to replace the front wheel which was defective on delivery due to poor workmanship and a bad buckle. I replaced both tyres and inner tubes to 1. 75 which dropped the ride height a tiny bit.

I then decided to buy a regular 200mm wheel scooter for 130 from argos which is way, way, way, way better over long distances on pavements, not leaving you worn out and in agony.

If you want to find out how fit (or unfit) you are – try a kick scooter. I am very happy with my new Osprey Scooter – at 66 I found it a bit daunting to get used to it after a lifetime of cycling but after two weeks the wheels are loosening up and I am feeling more confident.

I don’t remember being so out of breath riding a bike – it really gives you a work-out and my fitness and flexibility is improving especially my knees. The larger wheel at the front makes it more stable on poor road conditions.

It looks good – I have been stopped a few times by people asking where I got it etc – they all think it looks ‘cool’. My biggest gripe has been the poor instructions to assemble it. It arrives part assembled in a huge box and my husband waited until I had gone to bed to put it together for me.

It took him TWO hours despite being a professional qualified trained engineer!! However, the sheer delight of seeing it standing in the hall the next morning made me feel like it was Christmas morning.

It’s a fun way to get fit and improve your flexibility and I think the Osprey is good value for the price. I would have given 5 stars if the assembly instructions had been better.

From Day 1 for the initial charge to the batteries the needle/gauge never reached “F” (Full & in the green area) & I found it odd. Apparently the shelf life to the batteries were expired at the time the scooter was assembled at the manufacturer.

The EV Rider representative made me do all the “leg work” calls since it’s their policy to not call third parties in order to replace the batteries. In the meantime, I needed my scooter so I had to purchase batteries, out of pocket, since the manufaturer’s batteries were dead.

QVC should think TWICE about endorsing EV Rider products as reliable. A warranty claim with manufacturer is being filed and hopefully I will receive replacement batteries for the scooter but I felt reimbursement of $114.

84 for the batteries I bought out of pocket should have been granted seeing that I would have had no way of getting around in the interim. Since calls went back & forth with the EV Rider rep, he would only follow thru with a warranty claim for replacement batteries because he never mentioned anything about purchasing batteries on my own.

In the meantime, I’m eating the cost & will not be reimbursed. So I guess a person with mobility issues would have to rely on some other means of getting around until the warranty claim, hopefully, gets approved & replacement batteries sent.

BOTTOM LINE: The back & forth calls then physically bringing the original batteries to a battery dealer to have them Load & Charge tested in order to get replacements is a terrible way to do business.

BUYER BEWARE.

This was purchased for my mom & dad to use as they are starting to struggle with long walks to events. I did a lot of research prior to purchase and found this one to meet most of our needs. It is stable with the 4 wheels, easy to use, seat turns to assist getting in & out, can be taken apart for travel, not too heavy, and priced very reasonably.

Free shipping also was a huge plus. Their are arm rests included which adds to stand-up assist. My mom was not wanting to use it, but agreed too try it once at a MLB baseball game. Easy to use controls allowed her to master use quickly.

By end of the day she was smiling, having fund driving it and was not exhausted when we got home. She now wants to go to the state fair and is excited to be able to participate with the group without worrying about mobility.

I would recommend this to as long as you have someone to load and unload it, or a travel carrier/ramp. It isn’t light (which is part of reason it’s stable) and if taking apart to travel it requires a semi strong person to assemble & disassemble.

My folks are both in their 80’s with health problems surrounding their legs. My father also has hand and finger weakness. They are both active and alert and able to steer the scooter, and use the controls.

Watching my folks operate this scooter, I would say this could be operated by users with minimal strength. Lastly, my dad is 6’2” and my mom is 5’6”. They both fit easily on the seat. The steering column adjusts easily for personal preferences.

At first I thought it would be great. Until I took it a part to transport , unbelievable heavy. Also it’s not big enough for a large size person , extremely narrow. Unfortunately learn our Lesson to late.

Was down the shore my husband try to use it. Absolutely not for him unfortunately To late for returns. Lesson learn don’t buy product like this from a shopping channel!.

My son was already riding a second hand Madd scooter that we randomly got at a yard sale. It was severely clapped out though and had gotten a little small for him so I wanted to replace it with something of quality.

I’m impressed with the quality, and it sure is pretty. Now I can tear down and rebuild the old one for some other kid.

I am a flat rider and need a smaller size scooter and this is amazing. It’s very light the colors are amazing it’s Really improved my Manuals. It stays dialed and whips clean

Got this scooter for my sons 11th birthday and it is one of the best scooters he has owned. He likes to do tricks and this scooter is sturdy and quiet. Has great wheels which makes for a very smooth ride!.

The website made it clear what I was getting, and the item arrived in perfect condition from interstate within a few days. The quality of the scooter is very high. It is rock solid, stable and very smooth to ride.

It was beautifully finished until it’s 10 year old owner learned to do a drop-in at the local skate park. Very highly recommended.

I got this scooter 2 years ago and its still great. The reaper V2 bars are amazing, all the decks and wheels look super good. I learned how to 360, tailwip, down-side wip, in my first 6 months of scootering.

Its super strong, and the price. you just cant get that good of a deal on ANY other complete!.

This thing is awesome. Responsive, fast and so much fun. I use to ride my other scooter for commuting only, this 1 I commute with, but also I take it out just to ride around for the fun of it. Wish the handle bar was taller, it would make the ride more comfortable.

The brakes are very strong and responsive, I guess that¡¯s a good thing for a ride this fast. I usually use both motor because it the more thrilling, but the single motor is so fun on a Sunday cruise.

I love the look of this ride, beastly to say the least. The suspension is great. I use to feel every bump on the road in my last scooter, this one is exceptionally smooth because of the great suspension.

The thing that impresses me the most is the battery life. It seem like no matter how long I ride, I always seem to have full battery.

What a beautiful, sleek design this scooter has. No cables hanging out to get snagged on something. Rides great. No experience with other scooters, but it seems to handle bumps well. Electric brakes work great at first, but then let up a little.

I ran into a situation on a downhill going into traffic and it let up at the last minute. Nearly got me into trouble. Lucky the manual brake works well, too. The first day I commuted to work on this scooter it rained on the way home.

It did fine. I commute around 3mi a day. Went to work and back 3 days without changing. Still had 90% battery power. Love this scooter. Expensive, but worth the money.

Incredible Scooter for the price. I have had mine for a few days now and it has been incredible, very fast, the suspension is actually pretty cushy, especially for solid tires like these. Has tons of torque and pickup after a second or so of hitting the throttle.

I wish it was a little faster sometimes, I weight about 180 pounds and I can get 27. 5MPH with a fresh battery consistently but 28 is really hard to achieve, I heard the older models went 30-33MPH but it was bad for the battery so they fixed it! Incredibly stylish and feels like a very good entry into higher end E-Scooters.

Wish I had 2 of these so I could ride with my friends!.
