20 Best Scooter For Off Road (2023 Updated)

Starting using this weekend. Says you will get max 40 minutes I average about 25-30 minutes. (I use on small commutes) Heavy (be careful lifting) I have drove it over exposed tree roots no problem. Wheels seem good for now on small 2″-4″ sidewalk bumps.

Seems more capable on grass/dirt vs other e-scooters. Be careful transitioning to gravel. (works on gravel to).

We have only had this scooter (open and running) since Christmas morning so that should be factored in to my review as I can’t speak to how long it continues to work or runs without problems. I can say that my son was overjoyed by this present.

Our neighbors gave the 100 model to their kids which does not go off road on to grass or dirt. This scooter will not be harmed by off road travel so in my mind is more likely to last through my son’s somewhat punishing use.

He loves the scooter and wants to ride it every day. My daughter and I both hopped on and it is very fun to ride. I was surprised to read how many adults use this for commuting but I can easily see why.

One of my son’s friends came over and he could not get the hang of it, just doesn’t have the balance or hand/eye coordination yet for something that goes this fast (he is 8 as well). I think you have to take into consideration if this is for a a child – if your kid has balance and for example can easily use a regular scooter.

The only thing that has been an issue to date has been that the scooter can’t be outside when the temp is less than freezing. Our garage is obviously not heated so not exactly sure of the temps in there but since it’s been in the teens outside, I was afraid to keep the scooter in there.

So, we’ve had a rather large, heavy scooter residing in our kitchen for the last 2 weeks. I wish I would have known in advance of this so I could have come up with a solution outside to address but it still would not have stopped my from buying.

I also got it on sale so feel as though I got a good deal for the price. The cord to charge the battery is a little hard to locate and doesn’t go in easily every time I will say. Overall am very happy with purchase and would highly recommend for those special presents that are high in reaction once received.

Read reviews of other Razor scooters before purchasing this model. Item arrived 2 days earlier than stated so that was great. Box looked like it had been thrown around though, with many holes and tears.

Luckily the scooter was not damaged. Assembly was quick, and after charging the batteries as directed, my 9 year old was off. He has used it both on pavement and on the dirt trails near our house and has had no issues.

The long charge time (10 hours) is a little too long so we purchased a second set of batteries. Now he will have almost 2 hours of ride time.

Its fun and gets to about 22mph and I’m about 150lbs. However the battery technology is a total fail. The lead acid batteries are super heavy, charge slowly and fail quickly. If just one of the 3 cells fail, the whole scooter fails.

After keeping this under my house for a few years I ordered a custom lithium ion battery as a replacement to the lead acid variety. It took some rewiring because I no longer use the charge port (or the AC charger that came with it).

However, the end result is pretty great. Since the scooter is lighter, it actually goes faster. It cost about 275 for the battery but the scooter goes about 27mph.

The machine is awesome! Very sturdy and virtually indestructible. Excellent value. Has the speed and offroad capability that will be difficult to beat. The bummer note are: no speedometer, very heavy but due to the solid build.

The last thing is the range is quite low at 12 miles. Since I have only one speed level, fast as heck, it has to be charged when not riding it. But this machine will give me YEARS of service. 2 thumbs up, dan from scooter snap.

The moment I opened the box. Love at first sight!! IMPORTANT INFO FOR NEW RIDERS!!! ok so I waited so long for this thing to finally get here that once I got it, I didn’t bother reading the manual so I basically attached everything on the outside like handlebar, horn, seat, tweaked it etc.

I noticed the scooter had no charge. I charged about 4hrs, tried again and nothing. Lights would go on then cut right back off and it wouldn’t even hold a charge. then I realized I had to connect the fuses and the battery connecter from the inside.

once I did that. this baby lit up and torqued me right down the street. MAKE SURE TO CHECK ALL WIRING BEFORE HAND!! ANOTHER THING : the speed was pretty quick to begin with so I tried the turbo button to see the difference and nothing!! I tried it over and over and still nothing.

next day nothing!! I figured whatever maybe its just a small defect which honestly was not important since the speed was ok. FOR TURBO : you have to disconnect the gray wire located within the battery compartment.

once you do that, you will definitely see the difference. if you want to keep it at normal speed KEEP THE GRAY WIRE CONNECTED!!(ESPECIALLY IF A CHILD IS RIDING IT) overall I’m loving this scooter! the only CON so far is.

its pretty heavy especially with the battery pack. I have to conquer a short flight of about 35 stairs going and coming from work and have to detach the seat to then detach the battery to then fold the scooter to then carry it up.

Some ppl said this thing is fast well there not lying this thing is super fast and fun. Who ever wrote the bad review must be talking about another scooter. I lost my license a long time ago and they want way to muchj money to get them back so I needed this thing bad.

I have an ebike this thing even blows it away. I totally recommend for teens and adults, this thing has two speeds fast and ultra sonic! Not recommended for kids 10 and under. much to fast in high speed mode.

After researching different options and stores, QVC was the best place to purchase my boys’ scooters. We live in rural Missouri and these scooters are capable of handling the dirt roads and rough fields.

My boys and their friends (sges 13 to 15) put the scooters together and was able to follow the instructions easily. We’ve had them for a couple months now and unless its raining, at least one of them is riding around every day.

its faster then my UberScoot 1600w. So far i like it in fact I ❤ it. i use it to go to work everyday to to have peace of mind. The only thing i hate is the battery 60v 15ah lithium i nedd a 60v 20 or 25ah because when you at top speed the bike speed forward a second then drop back a second like there is a Speed limiter on it wish i knew how to take it off but other then that it’s a good investment for me to get to work on time and have fun riding at the same time.

Delivered in 2 days instead of 4, right for my days off. Thank you, Walmart. I took this little scooter on trails with my dog. Scooter carries all things including water, and myself 70% of time (except for steep up-hills).

ERasily fits in trunk of car. Rides on gravel, rocks, asphalt. My Razor A6 seems to not handle off-road. Scooter is very light. I can handle it in one hand and the dog in the other hand. I am 5’5″ and scooter height is fine.

It might be too short for taller people.

This scooter is exactly what we had been searching for. Our property is not ideal for your average scooter, with lots of grass and gravel. Our, then, 7 year old had a very hard time getting his small scooter to go like he wanted it to.

This scooter was brought by Santa for Christmas a year ago and has been used just about every day since. He takes it for overnights at grandparents so he can ride there too. All the other kids love it and several have asked their parent to get them one.

The big wheels go great over any terrain they have come across. It is built extremely well. It has been thrown down, rained on, beat around, and even run over and there is only one small spot where the pain has chipped on it and it was actually delivered to us like that.

This was, by far, one of the best things Santa could have ever brought. If anything were to happen to this one, I would absolutely get another one without a second thought. Good job Razor on this scooter!!.

Bought this for a 9-year-old, who absolutely loves it. He can ride all over our dirt roads and even (somewhat) through the grass. He really likes the soft ride and that the platform has a grippy surface that prevents slipping when going over bumps.

The only thing he said would make it better is a kickstand. The scooter is quite a bit bigger and sturdier than the typical Razors. Several friends are now asking for these scooters after seeing ours.

Note that the tires felt full upon arrival, but we tested the pressure and they were actually very low. (Thanks to another reviewer for mentioning the tire pressure should be checked. ).

This scooter is amazing. Its powerful and fast. It takes a little longer than expected to get uo to speed however. This is the fault of the controller. Thumb throttle which doubles as a twist throttle is comfortable.

The scooter is very well designed and solid. It has great range, in the mid 20+ miles if you drive aggressively and even further if you’re conservative on the speed. Top speed in the 30mph range but at 230lbs i usually get a comfortable 28mph.

The tires that come with it are perfect for streets and bike paths and you can pick up hybrid or off-road tires if you plan on going off the beaten path. My only complaint is the slightly under performing throttle and torque off the line.

With a 1000 watt rear motor it has improved in this area but still needs a little more juice prior to 15mph. It shines after that. The Ox is one of the most comfortabor scooters out there with amazing suspension and brakes.

You feel stable and in control at most speeds.

this is my third scooter and by far the best, no doubt. one i keep in my car for emergencies. very light but the full tires, only ok on smooth roads. second one returned, too many problems within 10 days of receiving.

so, i was looking for a shop around miami and be able to try them. fluide free ride is the place. cruised with several models, the guys know their scooters and could answer my requests. i got the inokim ox, perfect for me.

iam 72 so, the faster models were tempting but 42kmp is plenty for me. the ride is very smooth and i feel “almost’ as comfortable as when i was a kid on it. i was going to give them 4 stars because when i got home the charger was not in the baggie with the pump and i was disappointed but the guys were great so.

“stuff” does happen. let hope that i wont need repair for a long time. jean they send UPS with the charger the next day.

When I first got on my OX I was blown away. It took off like a Tesla, but the wind. the wind was rushing by my face so fast, I looked like a cartoon. I couldn’t stop smiling, it was so much fun. My oldest son rode next, he decided to race one of our horses.

This scooter rides like a luxury car and is as nimble as a high performance sports car. Finally, the range on this thing is ridiculous. I took it to dinner and back, around town, and put some serious miles on it.

The thing sips voltage and rides forever. I’d highly recommend the Ox. The Fluid Freeride team have a great lineup and I can’t wait to try other models. Maybe an off-road or wide-wheeled model will be next.

Arrived on time. Packaging was in great condition, handled with care. The scooter is really cool. My son really loves it. He’s still learning to ride, and I wanted something with bigger wheels that a small rock won’t get stuck under.

it was deflated when I received it, but the instructions mentions that. We pumped it, and installed the handle bar and it was ready to ride. The ride was very smooth and easy handling. Everything looks very well made.

As some reviews from Amazon states, this is not for taller people as the handle bars do not adjust like the other razors. Knowing this, I purchased it because I am short (5’1”) and my son is about 40” right now.

Reading other reviews, it seems like people spent. 0009 seconds on the scooter, then ran in to write a review. This scooter is EXCELLENT! It’s 700 watts, so yes, it’s fast. The throttle is sensitive but nothing that a few minutes of test driving couldn’t overcome.

Once you practice driving it for a bit, the throttle will is super easy to use. The range is so long that I can make 5-6 trips into my town (2. 2 miles round trip on hilly terrain) before I need to charge it.

I’m partially disabled with MS and I can assure you, this scooter has changed my life! Opening up the freedom of movement I’d lost because of limited mobility is priceless. The scooter is 60 pounds with the battery in place.

It’s completely manageable for me, but I can see where it might be more difficult for someone more frail than I. I did experience a flat tire recently, and the customer service available at their email address was exceptional for the few questions I had in that regard, even sending a video to aid me with direction.

I highly recommend this scooter, it’s an exceptional product for the money and their customer service is fantastic.

I bought this trike for my dad to get around. I like the looks of this trike, the way it folds. What I don’t like is you have to have a key for the battery, to remove it or turn it on. However, the instructions are a disaster.

Have to read in between the lines once you figured it out. ( they don’t tell you what tools you will need, need Allen wrench) I have it put together battery says it’s charged, but will not light up or start.

I will let it charge a few more hours and then see. If it doesn’t start I will reach out to QVC and or the company it’s self. Only gave it 3 stars for now.

I bought this for getting around the flea market because my legs arent what they used to be. I havent been there yet but Ive been zipping around the neighborhood getting used to it and its easy to maneuver, light enough to get in and out of the car & goes pretty fast! The acceleration takes a little getting used to and I wouldnt want to be going fast around the corner because it might tip but overall so far Im happy as can be! Took a little brain power to put it all together but the quality is really excellent.

I was too exited when it arrived and I assembled it all on my own and it was easy, I followed a video on YouTube and it took me 30 minutes and came half charged. You just need to put 4 screws in the handle bar and 2 on the seat bar and fasten the seat.

The hardest part was getting the plastic safety clip on, it seemed impossible but gets better overtime it takes 15 seconds now but when the plastic is new forget it. I used a metal clamp the first time and it was like 75% of the installation time.

The 50 pounds sounds intimidating but I have no problem picking it up and putting it in car trunks, it fits in a VW Jetta trunk. I fit comfortably and the seat is amazing. My cousin who’s 5’11 also likes to ride it, he’s says he’s comfy but I will be honest it looks a bit odd on someone who’s tall.

I even use it for 2 hours and do Uber eats with the bag handle on the bar. I’ve done about 300km so far and I’m quite impressed by its durability. While I was holding the scooter and walking it out with the battery on my grandma grabbed the handle bars and twisted the “gas” all the way, no one was hurt luckily, but it went side ways and fully scratched 3-5 meters across my cement driveway.

The noise was awful but somehow only a scratch on the plastic. It has an app that does diagnostic checks that you should do regularly before you ride and after the crash it was still 100% perfect. No scratches on the metal, I didn’t regret choosing black after that but the pink is cute.

It takes about 5-6 hours to go from “0%” to 100% charge. It does something weird where the battery will indicate 25% left but it’s really 5%, then when u go to charge it instead of saying 0 it’ll say like 22% but where was it when I was riding?? Maybe I need to change the mode when it’s almost dead I have no clue.

The last bar of battery does not last and when your almost dead it doesn’t reach top speed. On a full charge it lasts a little less than 30km on high speed with sport mode off, for reference I’m 5’3 and 140 pounds.

If you weight less than me it’ll go further and visa versa. It could go further with different settings but I haven’t tried. It’s annoying and brakes when u go downhill over 27km/h but it’s not so abrupt, it’s too bad it could save battery if it didn’t do that.

Also when it does die you can turn it off and on and it’ll go about a kilometre or 2-3 and then stop turning on. The only time that happened the battery actually indicated 0. As far as potholes go… avoid them.

It’s not the smoothest ride in wonderful montreal pothole covered streets but it also doesn’t damage it, just hold on cuz it’s bumpy. Can’t really blame the scooter company for the state of the roads.

I get a ton of compliments on it and everyone thinks it’s so cute. As far as accessories go you need to be careful when buying things that are for regular bikes cuz they won’t fit but I have managed to put certain things that shouldn’t have fit but using elastics from Amazon, they have specific ones for scooters but rubber ones work too I use a combo of both.

The headlight won’t be enough to ride late at night but I don’t use it anyways and if you would use it at night you can buy extra lights from Amazon. I’ve managed to find rear view mirrors, back turning signals, water bottle holder, phone holder all from Amazon accessories that are geared towards atvs and motorcycles are key to make them fit on the thick handle bars.

Anyways overall I think they’re overselling the battery capacity or need a software update so that the battery lasts at the end and you don’t have to turn on off on off whatever but I can overlook that missing few kilometres considering it’s extremely durable it looks cute and it’s the most comfortable seat ever.

It looks like I got the defective product. I had two major issues. One is the system connection issue, and the other one was the battery. System connection issue: The first ride went okay, but then the scooter showed the error sign on the screen in the middle of riding and stopped running on the second ride.

I still had to go about half an hour to get home, so I was a bit panicking. I tried changing options on the screen pad and the app from my phone, but none of them worked. I took out and replace the battery to restart the system.

However, it still showed the same error message and nothing worked. I tried a few more times to restart, and then it started to work again. I could continue to ride back home but it stopped again when I almost got home which I had to drag to get home.

I wanted to try one more time to see if this is a defective item for sure before I return the item. When I tried for the third time, it did stop in the middle of the road. I pulled it to the sidewalk and was about to take out the battery again for restart, but it came back to the normal screen a few seconds later it showed the error sign.

It didn’t occur errors anymore, but I decided to return at that point because I didn’t feel safe at all at that point. Battery issue: It says it should run up to 40km. The battery died at 29km, and the battery percentage was at 22% but it went out and didn’t operate.

It seemed like the battery runs out faster than it should, and doesn’t last until it is very low like less than 5%. It’s a cute and comfortable design, but very disappointed with the operating system and the bad quality battery.

I would not recommend this item at all.

Love this little beast! Surprisingly smooth ride, zippy power and easy to handle. Maintains a decent charge and is so much fun! I picked up the basket for it as well, which is sma but convenient. Definitely need some net or straps to keep contents in basket from bouncing out when you go over bumps though! I had my eye on this one for a while before purchasing, and my only regret is that I didn’t pick it up sooner.

Wish it had options for a cup holder or extra storage as the bars are quite a bit thicker than a regular bike and normal attachments don’t work with it. All in all, highly recommend for getting around town and looking absolutely adorable while doing so!.

This thing is fast, can it can carry a big guy and still run fast. I am 240lbs and I was specifically looking for something that had speed and the ability to haul my butt uphill. This brute is heavy duty, loads of torque and no problem carrying me uphill and still maintaining a good amount of speed.

I’ve had it up to 40 mph on flat streets. I’ve traveled up to 10 miles on this at full speed and hills. She only slowed a little on the last hill, but all the flats were still good to get me home. Wow.

I would have rated it a 5 star if it had a little more intuitive battery meeter and if it came with a headlight. The batter indicator light doesn’t seem to reflect a very accurate amount of power remaining.

First I was a Wolf Warrior 11 owner for 2yrs but transporting it anywhere was a nightmare as well as the ridiculously difficult folding mechanism that completely snapped on my first and only wreck. Now the handlebars will suddenly fold while riding it and I have no idea how to get it back to California to fix it I put it to the side and just kept it parked in my living room till I saw the adds for the King and the X.

I really wanted the 2000watt duel motor King version but it’s almost 4 grand and I just paid 3k for my now broken Wolf Warrior 11 so even though it has everything I want size and power wise it’s just too expensive for me right now and I was really mad they went with the same horrible folding mechanism as the Wolf Warrior 11.

They had to make a utube video just to show their customers how to do what couldn’t be explained in words or pictures. So when I saw the Wolf Warrior X with it’s new ingenious and easy to manipulate folding mechanism I was quite intrigued.

Although all I could really focus on was the power and size I would be losing: 1,000watts on each motor and the whole scooter is scaled down in size. The first time riding it after the Wolf Warrior 11 it felt like I was riding on a tight rope, since it seems like the board is 25-30% smaller so your feet hang off both sides, and something I used to like doing was putting my feet next to each other on the inclined rear section above the rear lights and bounce up n down on its really bouncy springs as I waited in traffic but I can only get a foot and a half a foot on if I tried on the Wolf Warrior X so that took some getting used to but my concerns about the loss of power were quickly left in the past once I hit the throttle and especially on turbo, even in single motor it takes off like a rocket.

I know it’s supposed to do 44mph but I’ve only gotten to 27mph before backing off the throttle cause I was going faster on a smaller scooter and it felt like so much faster. But the smaller size is no longer an issue, everyday you ride you wake up the next day able to drive it better so I no longer even notice the smaller deck or scaled down size, I look at my old one like a tank (before it was broke) heavy and sturdy but not very mobile when folded, (over 100lbs) and wouldn’t fit in most trucks but the Warrior X folds up smaller so that it’s handlebars don’t even reach the back tire and will fit into a compact to take it with you on vacation and only weights 75lbs.

I’ve had mine in the gold version for about two weeks and I’m in love and ready to buy another one of the Warrior X so my friends will have something to ride. I really had no expectations for this scooter when I bought it, I just needed something to ride around on but after owning the X for two weeks now it’s delivered as much if not more fun than the Wolf 11 because I feel more secure with the new handlebar locks, no wobble at all, and even though the X only has 10″ tires as opposed to 11″ the led lights are much more animated and supposedly can be altered via cell n app I haven’t used yet but hope to try it out soon but the way they came, alternating four different colors is already cool, it doesn’t need to be changed.

Final thoughts: this scooter is still an on road/off road powerhouse that will take you anywhere really quickly or slowly if that’s how you feel. This thing overcompincated in every area I thought it would fall short, this is my vote for the scooter of the year right with dualtron storm and king pro, just a few mph slower at top end but nobody goes all out all the time so when it comes down to it, the X rides the same at cruising speed and I haven’t met a hill I couldn’t tackle yet.

This scooter is the best buy when bought on sale for $1,995. Hands down!.

I love the power of this machine but since the beginning I was getting the e-10 error but didn’t pay much attention to it because Paul at ESG said he got it too but it didn’t impact the performance of the scooter at all.

and so i was cruising at about 28 mph(I got the functions of the scooter down at this point) and all of a sudden all the power was gone so it immediately and very quickly slowed down and I don’t know why.

I would think it would just slow down from rolling resistance but it was like the brakes were applied. Anyway that made me go over the handlebars. After that I noticed the back wheel, while at low speeds, makes the whole scooter vibrate violently.

I called CS and explained and was told to make a video of it. I did and it took a couple a days to get a response and I was told I was getting a rear wheel motor assembly(was also offered another charger for the inconvenience because I asked about purchasing one).

FF 5 days, I get just a street tire. I call up and say I just got a tire you said you were sending a rear motor assembly. and was blatantly lied too. “no my team confirmed it should be the tire that will fix it.

” no that’s absolutely not what you told me beforehand. Besides that happened because of the e 10 error that made me go over the bars. Oh and no charger. Was told I could get it half off but that’s what I would’ve paid anyway, right? I LOVE riding it but the e 10 error comes back much more than before and after some googlefu, I came across a reputable YouTuber who does work exclusively on Kaabos(SCOOTOPIA) and that it was later discovered that WWX has terrible reoccurring electrical issues that can’t be resolved, suspension and stability affected by sustained riding by riders 195 lbs and over.

Those were the most complaints he got about the WWX and from his own exp. thats literally what he said to my comment on his video. would’ve been awesome to know that beforehand even though it boasts a weight limit or 265.

I’m 215. Idk how to feel about it tbh so that’s why I’m putting 3 stars. Again I love the power of it and it’s almost therapeutic but I was hoping I’d get to enjoy it as long as most of the reviews were saying and at this rate it’s definitely not gonna be even close imo.

You would have immediately failed QA. I’m not mad at you I’m just frustrated with the situation. Honestly I’d rather return it and get like half my money back and purchase it again but from another vendor than risk it with unit I have because imo it’s definitely one of the few defective that’s enough that kaabo is aware of it Edit: and the MOST annoying thing.

I’ve recently received my Kaboo Mantis Pro SE and couldn’t be more happy. First off, the shipping was incredible. I live in Hawaii, USA and having anything shipped from mainland is mostly a hassle and/or very expensive.

One of the most significant issues I had with purchasing my first (high-end model) scooter was finding a company willing to take the steps to ensure a perfect delivery. Voro motors did an awesome job at just that: I received an expensive purchase at my doorstep, in perfect condition right out of the box, in an incredibly quick time and for way cheaper than I thought the shipping (over seas) would cost.

Quite frankly, I was blown away by how painless the entire process went. When I received my scooter it was perfect and exactly what was advertised. Assembly was a breeze; I did take the advice I got from other riders about checking all the bolts, adding a dab of lock-tight here and there, and did some minor adjustments with the brake levers/throttle for a more comfortable ride.

After a full charge, I finally found the time to take my Mantis Pro SE out for a ride. All I can really say is, “WOW” this scooter is awesome! Fast, powerful, comfortable, safe, and did I mention- FAST.

After breaking in my first 20 mile drive, I was pretty used to riding it and had a comfortable ride. The speed and take-off is wild. Tons of power to get me up even the steepest hills and the breaks are flawless.

Totally feels safe for all conditions: sidewalks, bike lanes, and even streets. Having effective head and rear lights, working turn signals, and even a horn makes it useful for riding anywhere. The breaks are very effective and easy to control.

The speed though, that’s something else. I was pushing out 38-41 mph straight-aways and having dual motor drives I was climbing hills at or around 27-33mph. That alone was incredible. I’m SO happy I purchased the Kaboo Mantis Pro SE from Voro Motors.

They’ve truly opened my eyes to a world of economically efficient transportation that’s both fun and practical.

If you’re old enough to remember what it was like moving from VHS to DVD or to your first smartphone from a blackberry; that’s pretty much the feeling you get when you ditch your gas guzzling, morning traffic jam for a Kaabo.

Only, with more adrenaline involved. I bought a Wolf Warrior X after riding an equally rated, under $2k, 35+mph competitor for a month. The Kaabo, at OVER 40 mph, has stood up to my zipping around Boston city streets, hitting deep potholes, ridiculously uneven pavement and frequent off-road travel through high construction areas.

The Wolf Warrior X’s main competition suffered countless flats, breaking issues, had a constant need for repair and had MUCH less torque—something the Wolf Warrior X has in spades. Almost frightfully so.

For a fun ride that is reliable in uneven terrain, a Kaabo is your go to. Cruz in Econ mode for long rides, but enough power to still be quick in the bike lanes. Then turn off Econ and hold on for dear life as turbo in gear 3 rockets you to work in the coolest way possible.

Don’t forget to nod to all the chumps in cars sitting in queue for the light as you pass them by, while wearing that thick, gaudy gold chain you bought with all the money you saved on gas. Now you’re rollin’!.
