My favorite shears hands down! I have 4 of these exact shears. Super light weight in my small hands gives me total control cutting. Very sharp.

Some of the reviews said the finger holes were small, but they fit my hands just right. I wear a women’s large glove. I get a nice cut with these shears.

I’m so excited about this product. The fact that it comes with its own sharpener is such a game changer. I had a dull kitchen scissor that’s about ten years old. I was gifted this product in exchange for an honest review so suffice to say I was excited to replace my old one and give this new one a try.

Its very easy to use the handles don’t stick and the blades are sharp enough to cut through most items. I even used it to cut open plastic packaging and it sliced through with no problems. My favorite way to use this product is to cut up small items for my kids.

I used to use knifes to half and quarter foods like grapes, tomatoes, bananas for my small children. Now I can quickly prepare meals for my little ones. This is great for creating finger food for my 1 year old.

These stainless steel kitchen shears are a great value for the price. They are built very study and they include the sharpening sleeve which is a great feature. Not only are you keeping little ones safe, but they sharpen each time you put them in the sleeve.

I cook salmon often and these sheers are perfect for cutting pieces to the appropriate size. Before I had these shears, I would have to ask my husband for help. Now that I have them, I can take care of the salmon myself! I still ask him to throw it on the grill though.

I received this product to use and to write a review. I am always in need of durable scissors and this product was great. If was very reliable and strong when cutting a variety of things from thick cardboard to even deboning a chicken.

My favorite accessory is the sharpener that doubles as a blade cover. Its nice to know that this product can last even longer due to the ability of the sharpener. Other scissors seem to wear down after a certain amount of use.

The fact that the sharpener is part of the blade cover insures that I wont lose the sharpener and it will always be possible to sharpen when needed. I also like having a blade cover to protect the blades and keep them from rusting.

It is a simple yet very useful addition to the scissors.

So, I was curious to see if these scissors could be used by them equally well. Sure enough, they are just as easy to use with your right hand as with your left. I can only imagine the reason is attributable to Fiskars outstanding reputation for high precision products.

The reason I gave this item a four star rating is two-fold. Firstly, the lock/unlock safety mechanism is a tad difficult to manage due to my arthritis. Secondly, because of the design, although easy to use – you can get pinched between the handles, if you’re not careful.

Bought these badboys to spatchcock a turkey on Thanksgiving. I had ‘heavy duty kitchen shears’ for this job previously and broke them in one go on last year’s bird, so I went for these. I’m happy to say they made short work of it! What a difference.

Now I keep finding uses for them. The main upside is they are very strong and can muscle through thick, annoying packaging or heavy material of whatever kind. Layers of duct tape, whatever. Definitely worth the money.

I love Fiskars products! It’s likely close to an addiction. These Soft Grip Scissors are no exception. Large and SHARP enough to handle the biggest of household tasks (cuts a leather belt like butter) to the most minute of household tasks (flower stems).

These CUT! They do not crush. A little on the larger side, they are not necessarily suited to finite tasks but, wow! If you want POWER – these are the ones to get.

Work great and feel heavy-duty! Only downside (for people with smaller hands) is the size. If you have smaller hands, you probably won’t be able to open them up fully.

I bought these Gerber Vital Shears in hopes of finding something more reliable than the kitchen shears from Walmart – I wasn’t disappointed! These shears feel solid! Disassembles and assembles easily without any sloppiness or looseness when using.

The thumb hole is a little uncomfortable for my hand, but I have arthritis. All in all, I am glad I decided on these.

These are a nice addition to your bench of truck to assist with cleaning small game. They are sharp and efficient. I really like the ability to take them apart which helps with cleaning. All in all a great product from Gerber.

A very handy tool for trimming edges around paths, manhole covers, plumbing pipes etc. The ability to swivel the cutting head according to the job is excellent. The grip compression action to operate the blades gets a bit tiring after a while but doing small sections at a time is fine.

The long handle makes the operating height very comfortable.

I am disabled and unable to manage handling a traditional trimmer. This Longneck Shear can be managed with one hand and in most cases works BETTER than a traditional trimmer. An added bonus. NO NOISE bothering the neighbors! Fantastic product.

I took a chance in purchasing this product. I was initially looking for what are known as “long handled shears. ” They are commonly found in the UK, but are almost unheard of in the USA. The advantages that they have over the product reviewed here, is the length of the cutting surface and the heavy duty construction.

That, and the additional advantage of a two handed grip, which allows for less fatigue when one must deal with an extended trimming session. The Fiskars Long Handled Grass Shears are a very serviceable substitute for those who don’t require a gas powered trimmer, but who appreciate the quiet operation that manual shears provide.

One very useful aspect of these shears is the adjustable nature of the angle of operation that can be easily accessed at the turn of the wrist. One can trim either horizontally, or vertically from a standing position.

I can’t comment about the expected longevity of these shears, since this is my first season with them, but I can recommend them due to their performance and relatively low price.

The scissors are very sharp and precise. It’s easy to get clean cuts when working with fabric, which is wonderful. They even stayed sharp when someone else in my household used them on paper by mistake.

The handles make then easy to use for either left- or right handers, and the slide guard keeps them closed, even when dropped off a surface. The only improvement would be to have a guard for the microtip that you could put on to keep the point from piercing something, or a case for them, as the points are sharp.

Fiskars makes an excellent product and I would recommend these for a craft person who needs a good pair of scissors for fine cutting and detailing.

A pair of cut cut snip snip that is so comfortable to use, the spring action aids in its easy operation. Blades are spot on in terms of sharpness and being precise enough to use the very tip to make tough little snips with ease.

The coating helps keep the blades clean and ready for use. My favourite pair of snip cut. S-is Sirs recommended for any and every person.

The trimmers are a lot smaller than expected. The width of the cutting dimensions are not satisfactory for trimming anything other than very small buds or stems. They are also not as robust as I expected.

Disappointed.

They cut paper okay, but plastic or anything heavier than printer paper, not so much. I threw one out and ordered kitchen shears for, obviously, the kitchen. The other one is upstairs and will work fine for minor cutting jobs.

Not happy with this purchase.

I am impressed with the Crescent Weiss CW10TM shears. After using them for about a week, they have earned their spot in my tool bag. Upon opening the package, I did note that the seam on the red handle (both inside and out) could be buffed down a little more; the edge is uncomfortably sharp.

When it comes to actually cutting things, I searched high and low to find normally difficult things for average scissors to cut. Carpet, cardboard boxes, tanned leather, rope, and finger sized wooden branches were no match for these choppers.

I did not try cutting any metal because the packaging said they were not made to cut metal. The serrated blade did a good job of holding the cutting material in place. The titanium coated blades float past each other like butter sliding off a fine steak.

These scissors are in a different league than the utility scissors I have purchased in the past.

I have been so frustrated and annoyed buying many pairs of scissors that only worked for a short time, then were so dull that they could only cut warm butter. I recently bought a pair if Crescent Wiss scissors and I am not only satisfide but delighted with the quality of this product! The shears work great cutting through leather, wood veneer, cardboard, and zip ties. I used it Christmas morning to open packages for my children. I love the addition of the serrated edges on the bottom blade as well as the finger groove so that you have a comfortable grip.

I only have 2 complaints. 1st. The shears are made for larger hands. My wife was unable to open and close them one handed properly. My 2nd complaint is the attention to detail. I work as a diecaster and failure to remove a sharp edge is a danger to our customers.

On the outside edge of the thumb ring, it has some very sharp edges highlighted in the pictures. Overall very satisfied.

These shears are far superior to others I have bought in the past, a bit more expensive but well worth it, stay nice and sharp, highly recommend.

The shears cut ok but they make the most annoying, loud clicking sound as they close. (Not neighbour friendly. ) Most other brands avoid this with small (eg hard rubber) buffers. Shame this brand couldn’t do the same.

Very good product but don’t like the style of the bottle. It;s a push up and it’s very awkward to push. Not good if you have hand issues. l Would be much better in a squeeze bottle. Apart from that I would recommend it.

the best tool I have experienced for cutting sheet metal, It saves you time thus makes me more productive doing thin metal work.

Shears do my job very well. Only problem is you can’t go round corners. Would recommend to any one working with sheet aluminum

In all honesty im not sure if there is a process to shears before using them , all i did was clean them with alcohol & started trimming. I tried cutting at a good pace smaller pieces on the end of my hair (2c/3a).

Not a smooth opening or balance to the cut. They feel like overpriced desk scissors that will leave me with split ends.

My roommate and I decided to get the pink ones (all the colors offered were just so fun!) to trim each other’s hair. They worked PERFECTLY, neither of us have any background in cutting/styling hair, but we managed.

These are the best scissors I have ever used. Work excellent on the job site or around the house. The are heavy duty and can handle extremely rugged tasks but they can also to cleanly handle fine and precise cuts.

Gentlemen – Hide your scissors. I got some of these and gave them to my friends for Xmas and almost to a man they ended up stashing them away. Some have been successful and now have the best pair of scissors, ever, still in use in their workshops for cutting gaskets and wires and tin and copper but others have failed and now their families have the best pair of scissors, ever, in the kitchen drawer for cutting paper and cardboard and meat and chicken.

Oh well they have several months to find a new hiding place for when I get them another pair for Xmas.

These are truly professional quality, general purpose, workshop shears. They are much better than most other modern scissors for several reasons. First of all, the handles are MAN-SIZED; suitable for big guys or glove wearers.

Next, the heavy steel blade shank goes all the way through the handles for long lasting strength. Finally, the blades have small serrations which help keep what you are cutting from slipping. Knowing Milwaukee’s reputation, I expect these shears to stay sharp and useable for a long time.

Heavy, powerful, average price for this type tool. I have used air powered cutter before, and am comparing to that experience. However, the cutter could be better. Cutting 18 gauge sheet, had to push hard to keep cutter engaged, as if there were not quite enough bite area.

Hard to keep on a straight line, and seemed to be struggling to cut. It seems to me the unit has the power, just the cutter design being straight line rather than slightly curved jaws. The cord should be out the back and not the bottom; by design the cord now is pushed onto the work piece and is more prone to being in the way.

I am only using this very occasionally so it is not a big concern, however, if I were cutting sheet on. a regular basis I would get a better designed one. Unless your primary material is much thinner.

This is the best thing I’ve used for Fuel Pump Replacements in autos. Yes, I Cheat. I cut a “Trap Door” to get to fuel pumps vs. Taking Fuel tank out of vehicle. I’ve had to do 5 of my own, and 8 customers.

Of course I explain to people what I do, get waiver signed to cut a hole in vehicle. Once initial hole is made, the cut a serious path to get to pump. I always use a Fire Blanket over the tank, even though this tool makes NO Sparks as a grinder or cutting wheel would.

Most Pro Mechanics DO NOT Approve of this method, but for me and my shade tree, saves a Lot of time, and aggravation.

These things are SO much better than trying to use hand shears. They literally cut through sheet metal like butter! One tip: if you need to cut curves, “wobble” them slightly from side to side while turning the shears in the direction of your curve.

That makes it way easier as they really want to cut straight lines. Great value for the project I needed to do (cutting the backs out of 6 metal cabinets). I may never need them again, but as usual with Harbor Freight, you can own a tool for less than a rental.

I bought these as an early Christmas gift for my wife. As a woodworker, I love owning and maintaining sharp tools, and I have found that I really love these shears! They came extremely sharp, blades are nicely ground, handles adequately heavy and comfortable.

The hinge thinger is threaded and adjustable unlike some lower quality scissors. Plus they’re cheaper than the name brand you find in stores.

These are high quality scissors with high quality plating, sharp, longer cut and set is good, Will last several life times with proper care and occasional sharpening. Worth the extra cost. Some what heavy, but you should expect that with high quality and larger scissors.
