20 Best Scar Cream For Kids (2023 Updated)

Not sure if it works yet. Just purchased it and following directions as applying 3 times a day for my facial acne scars. But no lie, this stuff STINKS as in ain’t no smell like this. It smells exactly like onions.

Sucks because if I were to use it for any other part of my body it wouldn’t be a bother. But using it on the face makes me feel like Shrek.

I have struggled with acne and have finally found a routine that has cleared my skin but I was left with acne scars as a result. I was looking at products and came across Mederma. It was the summer so I decided to try out the Scar Cream with SPF 30.

After using it for months my scars didn’t fade or lighter and it made my skin really oily. I stopped using this product and used serums which did help lighten my scars. It personally didn’t work for me and I wouldn’t repurchase it.

Ok. So I had two really bad scars from my belly button piercing that I took out many years ago. I’m 2017 I got scar removal surgery and it did nothing basically besides make my it a tiny bit less noticeable.

Last year I spent over $1,000 on fraxel laser to remove it. once again this helped the appearance slightly. However my scars were still dark and noticeable. I tried every scar removal gel and even one from a surgeons office, but nothing really helped.

I finally decided to purchase this not thinking it would do anything. Iv only been using this gel for maybe 2/3 weeks so far and MY SCARS ARE THE SAME COLOR AS MY SKIN. I have no idea what is in this product but the results are crazy.

Not only are my scars lighter but the skin looks smooth and barely noticeable now.

Aside from being the quickest and most drastically skin correcting scar cream, it has completely stopped my life long facial acne. I had long term acne scars on my cheeks and once I started applying the cream to my whole face, within 2 weeks my acne subsided over a 4 week period till there was nothing left.

If I ever receive a pimple now, they’re small and far in between in appearing. I have many surgical scars and it has completely erased them on my face.

I started using Skinuva Scar after having upper eyelid surgery and saw immediate results! I had thickening on the scar line and knots at the outer corners of my eyes that almost disappeared after a little over a month of use! I will continue to use this product for a few more months or until all gone.

I highly recommend this product to everyone and for me it really worked and I’m so glad-big relief!!!.

This product didn’t work for me. I used it alternating it with the scaraway gel sheets for two months. My scar never lightened or changed. I found it really hard to get product out, it never seemed to really coat the roller ball.

Finally I couldn’t get any out and I cut open the tube and lo and behold it was still super full. I found the product would never dry, no matter how thin I made it. It unfortunately was just a waste of money for me.

I have since found that Scaraway Silicon Spray works better for me.

I had surgery to have a precancerous mole removed. It was on my chest and because the skin there is so sensitive and always moving, my surgical site ended up developing a keloid scar, even though I’m not generally prone to them.

It made me feel very insecure and un-sexy, so my doctor recommended I try out ScarAway gel. I started using this with Vitamin E oil and the change was drastic. The Vitamin E oil took away the redness of my scarring and the ScarAway gel worked miracles to reduce the size of my keloid.

After just a few weeks of use, my scar is barely noticeable, despite being in such a high visibility area. It has become completely level with the rest of my skin and any redness is gone. I feel confident wearing low cut shirts again and ScarAway gel played a huge part in that.

First off let me start by saying that I don’t use any actives at all, I wash my face with avene tolerance lotion and use avene tolerance cream as a moisturizer, that’s all I use. I got the cicalfate gel because avene discontinued the old version of cicalfate which was the best one and only one that truly helped heal my skin (I managed to get an old tube of the original and compared it with the newest version and the older version healed everything the newest version didn’t seem to heal) anyway! So I purchased the new cicalfate scar gel hoping it could replace my old beloved cicalfate cream and applied it before going to bed.

I woke up with red raw skin everywhere I had applied Cicalfate Gel. My skin was painful and weeping. NO THANK YOU.

I’ve been using an oily balm on a surgical scar, which is fine when it’s covered but attracts pet hair and can stain my clothes. I sought this gel out knowing a bit about cica, and I’ve been pleased.

It has a dry finish (thanks to silicone) and is great for uncovered scars during the day. May pill with multiple layers (I apply each time I do my range of motion stretches, so I’ve been washing in between).

My scar looks great!.

I bought this to put on my scars from laparoscopic surgery for endometriosis. This tube lasted me about a year of daily use on my 3 small incisions- a little goes a long way! My scars are almost invisible.

I just purchased this again for my upcoming hysterectomy. Well worth the price.

I have been using this on Hypotrophic scars that are both one month old and also over a year old. My scars are seriously itchy and very enlarged, borderline keloid. I’ve tried silicone tapes and probably three other silicone topicals which are far more expensive than this and none of them made any difference at all.

I’m honestly SO glad I found this product and thankful for it too. Seriously, if you have the thick, hard, itchy, veiny scars- please try this. I wish I’d had it sooner.

Prior to using this, I had multiple acne scars on my left cheek. It was a dark colour and rough in texture. Within two days of using the gel and roller, the scar disappeared. There is now no sign of the scar at all.

Only complaint is the smell of the silica, which isn’t very pleasant.

Excellent silicone-based scar treatment. Cheaper than the alternatives, plus I use the roller ball before applying, which is meant to be extra effective. This one is my favourite.

Used on my 3 year-old boy ‘s deep long cut on the forehead as a result of falling and bumped in a playground. I m teary almost everyday, truely heartbroken when taking him to ED. Start using Mederma kids when the wound is healed, 2-3times a day.

I noticed a big difference already! Less redness and improved scar appearance. Will keep using for at least 8 weeks. Hope for a miracle happen!.

I had scarring on my face after having a staph infection this did nothing I used the extra strength Version 3 times a day faithfully for six months it didn’t evern lighten it. But it did keep that area moisturize because I extremely dry skin that’s the only plus.

i didnt use this item for long time. but i can tell it is make soft skin with it. i like it. and very smooth.

I’ve been using this cream for years, i love it. It feels great in my skin and since i’ve been dealing with acne for years this has helped with my acne scars and also helps in sun discoloration.

I suffered from severe acne when I was younger and some pretty rough scars left behind. A friend of mine told me about Caspah. I’ve been using it for about a month and my scars are almost non-existent.

I’ve been using this for a month now. First, the packaging was difficult to open. It came with a flat top cap, wrapped in a “pliable” metal, which was difficult to remove. You replace it with a triangular, dropper-like cap, that is easier to use and helps limit applications by the drop, which is nice.

I bought this for bug bite scars, which seem to be working fairly well. It recommends twice a day usage, but sometimes I only do once a day. I’ve been tracking two specific scars to monitor it’s effectiveness.

The bug bite on my forearm is nearly gone; however, the ones on my legs are a tad more stubborn. I also tried, and am still applying, this on older scars, but haven’t noticed a difference. The bottle says it’s tea tree oil, but I wonder what percentage of the solution is actually tea tree, because this has no smell to it, yet tea tree has a distinct smell.

This is more like an oil and I’m not sure if my skin likes it. don’t really see much effects? It doesn’t break me out, but I gradually stopped using it altogether because I don’t want to put something on my skin that doesn’t improve it.

At first I used just this to see if there are results, and then I mixed it into my creams or other oils. Both not much difference to be honest. But at this price, I guess it’s worth a try to see if it works for you.

I bought this product to help reduce the appearance of a big scar I have on my knee. I have been using it for about a month now and I am slowly seeing improvement in the appearance as there are now small white spots forming over the very dark pigment of the scar.

I only gave it 4 stars because I haven’t been using it long enough to see the full effect. So far this is the best scar cream I’ve used. I’ve tried others for years without any change in my scar. Also, as a side note, the scar I am using it on is a large round scar about the size of a nickel.

I think if you were using this cream on a small typical scar you would see results much faster.

Silicone scar gel is amazing. I started out buying an over-the-counter scar gel, that did not agree with my skin and caused a rash. RejuvaSil Silicone scar gel was amazing on the skin! Goes on so smooth, dries perfectly.

No sticky feeling no residue left behind. And so far is working wonderfully on my scars! I will definitely be repurchasing.

I am writing this review for those who keloid easily. Give this stuff some time don’t quit ! I lightened my keloids w persistent lemon use(do your research) I stopped trying for awhile due to results not being as desired.

I bought this because I’ve previously used mederma and it actually completely faded/got rid of a small keloid on my chest that formed due to acne. Fast fwd to years later; I tried this for a week or two and gave up.

I just started to use it again consistently and about twice a day. let me tell you all that my scars are FAAAADING not just fading but one of my bigger ones is also flattening ! Be persistent, I’ve had these scars since MIDDLE SCHOOL.

I don’t even wear spaghetti straps because of it. don’t give up.

I really like this Scar Gel. It is comparable to the Merderma Brand. I only Purchased because Merderma was out of stock. I didn’t want to just stop treating My New Tummy tuck Scar. So I took A chance with this.

I must admit. I like this better than their New Version. It’s cheaper and not as Sticky and I see My Scar going away even some new Stretch Marks that came with My New Tummy. They have gotten lighter.

I will continue to use this and save about 5 bucks. Per Tube. If You want to see results just stay consistent. I saw improvement within one Week. So surprised. This is My own review. I paid for My Own Product.

For the price this is a good alternative to the expensive brands. The issue was the frequency you need to use it and how long you need to rub it in for. You definitely need to allot a few minutes to each time you want to use it.

If you have time to do that, then this is great. Otherwise, the more expensive brands where you can apply it quicker may be a better option.
