20 Best Saw Blade For Trim (2023 Updated)

Doing a lot of intricate trim. Does on occasion leave a hairy cut depending on wood type and size. Otherwise works well.

For finish work this is a GREAT BLADE.CLEAN CUTS….

Using to put up plastic porch rail. Gives an extremely fine cut. Glad I purchased this blade.

This blade did a very good job cutting laminate floor panels with very little edge chipping. I found that if I keep the blade up about 1. 5 to 2 inches it did even better. It did what I need for around 50 dollars where the pergo saw blade with polycrystalline diamond cutting tip cost 150.

Dollars. Would by again. And recommend it to others.

This blade may be slightly thicker than the cheap blades you can purchase at your local hardware store but the benefits far outweigh a little thicker cut. The blade keeps it sharpness through all sorts of hard and soft woods.

I highly recommend this blade and the price is pretty good too.

Blades look great! Have not used yet but OEM Bosch blade on cordless skill saw has been amazing I’m sure these are just as good or better, bought these because I thought would need them by now and local stores do not have OEM blades.

Bought this blade as Dewalt products are usually amazing. The blade started out well, but quickly became dull on a Laminate flooring project. after the first 599 sq feet. Other cheaper blades seem to last longer.

Great price. Can’t wait for snow to go to use it. Have to cut pvc outside.

Have my grinder mounted in a chop stand and wanted a blade to cut PVC. Had to enlarge the bore to fit the grinder. Works great!

Not satisfied with this saw blade at all. The blade that cane with the saw cut just as smooth. Oh well.

Let me first say that I have been using Forrest blades for more than 25 years. I’ve always considered them to be the cream-of-the-crop. Bought my 3rd WW ll thin kerf about a month ago. Fortunately I have developed the habit of checking the welds where a carbide cutter is connected to a steel core (ie a router bit).

I found a carbide tooth on the saw blade that was out of alignment and barely attached. Obviously this could have cost me an eye. Forrest repaired it promptly (though they didn’t send a different blade as I requested).

I cannot post a photo here but I am going to “Rockler Woodworking “ next to post a photo. The moral is do not get complacent because you are dealing with a normally reputable manufacturer!.

So I haven’t used this blade a lot , just a couple cuts. I have to give it a fair chance. I ripped some knotty alder with both blades. They both seem to cut vary well. Not saying my saw is aligned perfectly.

But both cut a good glue line cut. The Forrest blade might have been a little smoother, but was very hard to detect. Operator error causes a lot. Conclusion that I think the other blade cut just as good as the Forrest blade.

This is the first time I’ve had a Forrest, I’ve always wanted to try them. That being said, I’m not really all that impressed with the results. I think it is a very well made blade, I did notice how thick the carbide is.

But cut quality wasn’t much better as with the other blade. More use might change my mind.

Very good blade, perfectly straight, good and sharp. First blade I purchased for my 3hp Saw Stop so hard to compare to others but very happy so far. I have used it to rip and cross cut 4/4 hard maple and walnut.

Also used on 3/4 maple and walnut plywood and mdf core. I also cut hardrock particle board and it cut very nice in all of them. Very minimal chipout on backside of sheet goods with stock tabkesaw insert.

Would probably do even better with a zero clearance insert.

This has been on my tablesaw for a few months and I am completely satisfied with its performance. Crazy sharp. This blade produces excellent cuts on solid lumber as well as sheetgoods. I’ve used it on Melamine, MDF, Baltic Birch, White Oak, Hard Maple, Sapele, and Pine among other products with consistent high quality performance.

Smooth glue line quality joints with no tearout.

I recently purchased this blade (7 1/4×48) to try on my metabo hpt 36V circ saw. It cut stainless steel unistrut quite well for. About 30 cuts and a piece of 2x2x1/4 square tubing cutting one side at a time.

Then I tried to cut a piece of 1/4″ 304 stainless steel plate about 18″ long and burned up the blade. It ended the cut with 4 missing teeth and over a dozen chipped ones. I was even using a high quality Castrol cutting wax.

Will still buy it again but do not use it on heavy plate (over 1/8″). Also, I believe it actually cuts plate metal better if you set it for a deep cut as this reduces the blade contact and effective cut length per tooth.

I have been cutting 1/2″ plate with fiber blades on a 7″ grinder and doing ok. I thought i would try this blade and found it cut my 10 to 12 inch long cuts at a nice pace. Then after 7 or 8 cuts my saw motor started heating up.

I looked at the blade and saw several teeth missing. I finnished the cut and had smoke coming out of the saw motor. I decided it was an old motor and tossed both. Got a new blade and put it on another motor i had and had the same resault.

so after two blades i think it is over priced and will go back to using fiber blades at $1. 50 each and cut off 3 or 4 peices per blade. I have not tried this blade on thin metal or short cuts. I hope it is better with those.

If you are doing long cuts be careful and be sure it is thin like under 14gage.

Diablo makes a couple different aluminum cutting blades but, they are very different. The Thick aluminum blade has a lower angle of attack on the teeth. The advantage to that is the material you are cutting is far less likely to bind up because it wont be taking larger chunks at a time.

I would highly recommend anyone cutting thin or thick aluminum for a safer and smarter experience. I would avoid the aluminum/ceramic blade unless you are doing ceramic only. That blade takes to much material at once and will bind on thin extruded material.

We were in the need of Cutting a 6″ Hole in 1″ Alum. plate. These blade work great. We ended up using 5 blade to finish the job. We explored other option but with time constants on the project they would play out in time for the project.

These blades are inexpensive knock-offs of the superior Bosch product. Bosch blades are ground sharp where these blades are made without this final grind.

If you have older jigsaw these blades won’t stay in your saw. They say universal fit, use the old style blades as these are not universal.

i use Diablo blades in all of my Circular saws, recip saws and grinders. However, the sawsquatch SkilSaw made by Skil comes with the 10 1/4 blade. when cutting or ripping the blade wobbles. i thought it was the saw.

returned the saw and got a replacement. happened again. i bought a BigFoot blade and it worked great. the wobble on the Diablo blade bends in the wood. no way to fix it other than running an 8 1/4 or smaller saw and cut twice just to stay on the line.

Diablo, please fix this issue. cant be the same problem on both saw with 2 different blades.

I run these on all my table saws. Does t matter if I’m ripping plywood or running oak or cherry. This is a great all-in-one blade. The deal is you have to keep your blades clean. Pitch build up is going to make people think they have a dull blade.

Let me tell you that the carbide tips on these blades are incredibly durable. I take a Tupperware tub and fill it with a diluted simple green solution. Let the blade soak for 5-10 minutes and then hit it with a nylon brush.

Hand dry the blade, spray it with some BladeCote, put her back on the arbor and you’re good to go. I’ve got five table saws and some of these blades I’ve ran for years. I use my saws daily. These things hold up and withstand a lot of abuse.

For under $30/ blade I get very similar results from the blades I’ve spent over $100 for. Keep the blade clean and use BladeCote.

This is the only saw blade I will use in my saw. I’m provided with other competitors blades but I supply my own becouse nothing I’ve found stands up to these blades. As a framer I have found these blades cut smoother which also cut straighter which provide a superior product.

These blades also don’t throw giant slivers of wood at your face like most framing blades. When paired with a great saw they simply glide right through the wood giving great results.

Good saw blades, I have always been very happy with Diablo blades for the price. Only thing noteworthy about them would be: these particular ones have the label on the right side of the blade so if you use a dewalt or another saw with a left hand guard the label will face into the saw.

It has zero affect on operation just looks odd. Over all very pleased with the item.

This blade is a BEAST! Love the easy cutting with this bad boy. I was cutting various material, sheet metal, angle iron. this blade seemed to take all that I had to give it. Couldn’t be happier with this blade considering my experience from this cutting, I’m only a diablo blade user from here on out.

This Hart 10-inch saw blade cuts through easily with the 40 teeth blade- makes project completion both faster and easier. My favorite feature is that the finished cut is both smooth and clean- it really is the perfect cut.

This is a really nice blade it has carbide teeth So it will stay sharp. My wife wanted a customer Benches for our dining nuk and I cut every piece With this blade. Very precise. This made my work easier.

She got me the HR 10″ miter saw for my birthday I love it but should of guessed she was going to ask Me to start building something. This brand is very Underrated and works better any brand I’ve used.

Yes it did make the difference in my project which was installing a manufactured wood floor. The old blade was like cutting these board with a wet noodle. As with most manufactured flooring it is impregnated with bits of metal and any blade is going to spark as this one did.

However this one actually cut sharp clean lines that made the difference in piecing together the floor. You will cringe with this but I turned the B&D saw into a small make shift table saw because I was far from home and did not have my normal tools.

Mounted it to a couple of scrap sections of the hardwood floor sliced the blade through the boards trying to keep it square. Build a frame and mounted to a work bench. With a couple of clamps and a straight piece of wood I was able to rip the sections of flooring I need for the project the other saw I had was a miter saw and I wished I had one of these blades for that one.

I made numerous cuts for fitting angles that would have normally been done on a bandsaw of scroll saw and due to the sharpness and clean cuts from this blade turned out fantastic. So a cheap blade made an even cheaper saw fantastic and my floor turned out great!.

I just pulled my old Delta miter saw out after My other miter saw started acting up. The blade that was on it was old and dull and chewed up, splintered, and burned most of my cuts. I bought this blade based on price to give it a chance, and it has performed flawlessly so far.

I cut a lot of hardwoods to make cutting boards and softer woods like pine larger projects. This blade has cleanly sliced everything without issue so far. Good blade so far for what I paid. Only time will tell if I should have spent more on a Diablo or Freud, but by the.

I will have gotten my moneys worth.

BEWARE! Don’t believe the hype! Another once great brand going to the dogs. Diablo used to make great blades. They used good tungsten and heaps of it so you could resharpen as needed – saving you money.

Now you pay 50% more and get 50% less tungsten. Skeptical? See for yourself. Compare the ‘old’ Diablo blade you bought last month with the new ‘improved’ ones going on the shelf right now. Sure it’s sharp.

Sure it cuts. But at the end of the day, while they can hype it up any way they like, the consumer ends up paying 2-3 times more. It used to be you could trust Diablo. Now it seems they are becoming another over-hyped marketing driven brand trading on consumer naivete and past reputation.

Mine will be going back and I will be buying local.

Purchased this blade for dual purpose. First I needed as large a number of fine cutting blade teeth for smooth cuts with materials that tend to chip easily and I wanted a saw blade that will cut metal smoothly with little if any residue.

So far this blade has done an excellent job with melamine covered chip board and provided smooth cuts through color bond steel. It is a little early to say I recommend it because I bought it for two specific jobs one quite small and the metal cutting I have only just started and may be some time before it is finished.

None the less worth a look.

I purchased this 80 tooth blade as I had originally purchased a 90 tooth but found that I was getting binding due to the blade being thinner than the riving knife. The 80 tooth was appropriately sized.

I find with melamine I have to have the blade set pretty high in order to get a clean chip free cut in 5/8 material. If I go by the rule of thumb of 1/2 blade sticking out the top, I have really bad chipping.
