never has my child ever played with one thing for so long before. I will say I don’t generally let him play with things like slime and playdough on a regular basis due to the mess and the fact that he tends to get stuff all over the place and refuse to clean it up.

He’s eight so he’s getting older and he was very interested in this kinetic sand. I love all the tools that were included and was surprised that there were so many. he had a lot of fun sort of mixing and mashing the colors together and molding and unmolding things and I don’t even think he used all the tools and the several hours that he played with us.

he especially loved squishing the sand in his hands and he immediately wanted to play with it again the next day.

First one we got broke within 30 minutes of opening it. The spinner toy’s top kept shooting off because of the spring in it and the top just not being strong enough to hold, I guess. Anyway, took it back and got a new one.

Been using this one for about a week now and it definitely looks like the spinner top is going to start popping of again, but it has held for now. Holding out hope that it just holds on forever because I originally called the company and they said that because it’s such a new product, they don’t have replacement parts for it specifically, and don’t have any in their warranty department to send out either, so that’s why I was referred to the store.

Other than this pretty minor issue, WE LOVE THIS THING!!! We LOVE kinetic sand the begin with, but the toys included for the price is super awesome. Love that it has as much sand as it does also, most of these kits include way less for the same price.

I purchased this brand new Kinetic Sand Slice n’ surprise toy for my son a week ago and he has been in love with it ever since. This fun-tastic toy comes in a bright, fully recyclable, well decorated and eye catching cardboard packaging and inside contains 128g each of black, pink and blue kinetic sand, 7 tools and moulds.

I absolutely fell in love with the idea of creative, educational and fun ways to play for my son so this has been a massive hit. This product helps to stimulate your child’s imagination as they are able to create many different shapes and mix and combine colours together.

My son had so much fun using the tools to squeeze out the sand and using the spoons to cut out his preferred shapes to build his masterpiece which he is super proud off. This toy is cool, mess free and perfect for all children from the ages of 3+ As the sand never dries out meaning hours of fun! I would definitely recommend everyone to go and purchase this.

Such a great piece of kit and this Kinetic Sand is a great innovation, all the fun of real sand with almost zero mess! Safe for indoors and out. My 3yr old is always asking to play with it and will sit there for hours just playing away.

Can’t get enough of it. My only gripe with it is the container itself, it doesn’t have a handle to easily carry it, the locks aren’t secure enough (they easily pop open), I wouldn’t feel comfortable holding it like a briefcase without worrying it’ll pop open, and it’s not very tightly sealed, so there is potential for sand to leak out.

Just have to be careful when closing it up and try to keep the it flat. I would knock off half a star for the awkwardness of the container. Otherwise it’s fantastic, lots of fun and hours of play for the little one and I can see it having plenty of longevity and the little one enjoying it for a long time.

The experience of receiving this product was humbling and served as an excellent reminder to always read product descriptions. Had I read the notes, I would have learned that the product does not ship filled.

I am so glad I made this purchase. This is a very affordable, good quality product. Easy to use. There’s a fill line inside the bag so you don’t over or underfill the bag. I like that the weight has a softness to it other weights don’t.

In the meantime i am Using these awesome bags for other things as it’s always best to test out your emergency items and put them to the test before an emergency arrises. Just in case, i also bought sand bags and have them in my shed and have put a few bags with sand in them just in case.

When it rained last i put them in front of my Lawn and it was less flooded with water this time so i Know they work. They are also apparently uv resistant so they can take a beating in the hot texas sun and not disintegrate immediately.

To close them off with the tie strings I have to make sure not to over fill them, then they are easy to tie off and handle or carry around.

I fill a couple of these up with sand in the winter time to put in the back of my truck for better support and traction. I add a couple more to keep in the back in case I do get stuck then I can shovel out some sand (or non-clumping cat litter) to put under the tires for better traction as well.

I was contemplating whether or not to buy this one because of the reviews I read. Most reviews said how it’s sticky, messy, and not like the “original kinetic sand”. That’s because this is Kinetic Beach Sand, not Kinetic Play Sand (which is the supposed original).

Personally, my kids like this one better because the sand grains are more sand like and it has a more crunch sound (it’s a little bit rougher). If you want thinner grains that are a bit easier to play with search up “Kinetic sand play sand”.

Target has only colored versions of the play sand IN STORE, the original tan play sand is only online purchase. But anyways, my kids love this sand more than the original. I love it because it’s not messy at all! It sticks to absolutely nothing, not even their hands (which they like as well)!.

Added it to the beach sand box. The original didn’t come with much sand. So we added this and it’s even better than the sand that came with it. It doesn’t feel like normal colored kinetic sand. It’s more gritty like real wet sand with the same kinetic sand amazingness.

I was tempted to get heavier bags but am glad now that I didn’t. 15lb bags are plenty heavy for my application at this point. Using them outdoors in a breeze keeps my subject safe and prevents my stuff from getting damaged.

In the studio they’re just as efficient in preventing accidents and balancing booms and other equipment. I prefer the orange ones for their enhanced visibility. I’ll be buying more of these. The others that are sold empty on Amazon are cheaply made and don’t last.

The ones that fill with water serve a purpose, but you have to have a source of water which isn’t always available on location and electronic gear doesn’t do well if it gets wet.

I love this sand and my nephews and I play with it for hours. It does seem to be different than the same brand I bought several years ago. Seems to get powdery more quickly and stops sticking together.

Regardless, still a great buy for this price. I just have to replace it a little more often. And my guess is that we play with it a LOT more than the average family.

My daughter loves playing with Kinetic sand. This brand name is worth getting compared to other non-brand name similar sand. This is so soothing, and really sticks together so much better than other brands.

This sand is soft, beautiful, and feels great in our hands! We were very excited to get it! However, It’s extremely expensive, but safer, compared to other sand, so I expected it to be fairly perfect.

What I figured out is that it is actually dusty; I can see the “dust/powder” when it’s poured from hands or shovels, etc. So I added a few small buckets of water from our hose. That took care of the dust, but after a few weeks I realized we had some very very small bugs in the sand, hopping around, and also the same bugs on our screened in porch (because I’d left some of the bags and boxes the sand came in, on the porch waiting to be put away).

After researching and using a bug ID app, I discovered these bugs are called springtails. They are said to not be harmful to people or pets, but a nuisance, and hard to get rid of, (so you don’t want them to get in the house,)and have been hard to get rid of on the porch! We don’t use the sand anymore which is really disappointing.

I do not recommend it due to the amount of time I still take to spray vinegar (said to kill them) on porch regularly and not enjoying the porch or the sand since we discovered these bugs. (We kept our sandbox covered when we weren’t using it.

Zoro has the best prices on the most random stuff. I love it! The sand is perfect for my little girl’s sandbox. Her grandparents bought her one of the ubiquitous green turtles. So we bought 125lbs of this sand to fill it.

There is zero dust and it doesn’t stain at all. Add a little water and it’s just about perfect for sand castles. This sand is definitely worth the premium price over the Quick-crete “play sand”. When it’s time to refill the turtle, I’ll definitely be back for more of this.

“#sweepstakes” This is the third time I have ordered 25 lbs. of white sand. –Seems crazy to buy “sand”, but this is a beautiful, clean beach-quality sand. It feels cool and silky to play with and is pure white.

It is used in our sand table and is worth every $ spent on it. We use many substances in our sand/water center, including corn meal, gel beads, river rocks, popcorn, moon sand, etc. This white sand is our favorite by far!.

Based on other reviews, I wasn’t expecting this to be a super durable product. I figured we need to be gentle with the weights. don’t lift or hold by the straps or loops once they are filled. and go easy on the zippers.

I took others advice and used ziplock bags filled with sand and pea gravel for the weight. I have filled the weights but won’t actually be using them for a couple of weeks. They seem heavy enough to hold our canopy securely in place for a tailgate.

We don’t plan on being outdoors in any type of extreme weather conditions so I expect good results. The fact that these wrap around the canopy legs make them a better option than the popular weight plates.

and the bags are heavier. As long as we use them with care, I expect them to last.

These bags appear as advertised and work very well. Their design and material are both very rugged and leave much confidence in their use. The only detractor to this design is the secondary “inner” zipper that is placed in each compartment.

While I understand the need for a secondary line of security for the sand, or in our case pea gravel, these zippers become increasingly difficult to access as the bag becomes filled, undermining their purpose.

Otherwise, these bags are fantastic and we will continue to use them in our community film center space.

It’s like a traditional sand bag, except you can pack and travel with it without the weight. Get off the plane. Stop at a supermarket to get a case of water for the crew. Throw a couple of bottles in this sack.

Drink the water after the shoot. The bags roll up and take a meaningless amount space and weight on the trip back. Downside is that the bags aren’t as evenly balanced as a bag with sand or rocks. Four small water bottles also don’t weigh as much as a traditional 15 lb bag.

For the price, fantastic. I’ve used slightly better but I doubt you’ll notice these lacking. My only desire would be that they were slightly shorter; these drag on the ground with certain stands, reducing the effectiveness of the weight.

For filling, I highly recommend buying playground gravel and not sand. It’s less messy. Also, I line all my sandbags in Ziploc freezer bags as an extra layer of security.

This is great sand, it is very fine and soft. I am using it for my hamster bath and if you have a hamster you know that they often choose their bath as a urinal which, with sand can start to stink fast.

This sand is the only I’ve found that doesn’t smell fast, I think it is because it is so fine that the urine is trapped in it. With the urine it clumps so that when it is cleaning time I can sift out the urine area and the rest is still dry and loose.

Only downfall is it sticks easily to his feet and ends up all over the place, but small price to pay, I will definitely keep buying this type of sand.

I have purchased this item several times to use in a sand bath for my hamsters. The product is a decent price for the amount of sand you get but the quality will vary. Sometimes I’ll get a bag with a decent amount of small pebbles and what looks like tiny fragments of wood.

I will use a sieve to get rid of these larger chunks. Other times, the product is free of the larger debris.

I bought a set of the three sizes. I train out in our garage and with winter coming I wanted to find something that wasn’t made of steel that I could train with. These are great and I have had a fair amount of use with the medium bag already.

The strongman bag is likely going to be the highest I need to go and is pretty heavy when you get into it. One suggestions I would give people buying these is I found filling the medium and large bags a little tricky.

It gets very tight when you are at the top end of the weight. I would take the bag and roll it with the zipper open until the bags all settled enough to zip it up. Took me a second to figure it out, but works like a charm once I got it, so if you are ordering maybe keep that in mind.

These bags have been a ton of fun to use and I am very happy with the purchase.

I haven’t had the time to really put them to the test but so far these seem like great quality. It should be noted though, that they look different than the image online. They have large matthews logos on the handles in white and red.

It could be a deal breaker for some people. It annoyed me at first they are not solid black but I’ll just flip them over if I need that. The handles are a nice material and they are easy to move around.

I almost didn’t order these. Went on a sandbag buying spree recently, and decided on two of these at the last minute. Now I wish I had ordered at least four more! These little guys are perfect for adding a little more weight to an already weighted boom for example.

Or hanging from a grip arm when just a few pounds are needed. They hang from two different straps. When squeezing them, it sounds crinkly, like Matthews was smart enough to put a plastic liner inside to keep the sand dry.
