The best running shoes for women with knee pain are those that provide good support and cushioning. The best way to find out which shoes are best for you is to consult with a podiatrist or other medical professional.
Help alleviate pain caused by plantar fasciitis. I’m on my feet a lot at work and this shoe help by providing support on my heels. Very lite and comfortable and looks great. Only down side is I own a lot of wide shoe but this one in wide has too much room.
Recommend to try the regular first because the materials will stretch to accommodate wider foot or swollen feet.

I tried these sneakers in store prior to purchase. I really liked how they looked and it felt comfortable when I first tried them on. I didn’t take them out of the box until the following year and wore them out to a theme park.
I walked in the shoes for about 10 minutes and stood in line for about another 5 before realizing that all my toes went numb. It was similar to the feeling of wearing a pair of 6 inch open-toe Louboutin pumps where the front portion of the shoe is so narrow that all your toes are squished together.
I was in pain. I have never had this problem with any pair of high end running shoes I’ve purchased. I don’t wear wide width shoes. And I’ve never had to break-in a pair of sneakers either. I was so disappointed with my purchase.
Looks cool but useless if I can’t even walk in them.
I have owned dozens of On running shoes over the years and always have a few in rotation since I wear them to work, run, weight training, ect. I decided to try the cloudswift since I love the look and colors.
I was soo disappointed. Within minutes on the treadmill my feet went numb. I’ve never had to break in a pair of on’s. I had to cut my workout short and take them off. I sized up when I purchased (always do 1/2 size up) so thought maybe it was the socks I was wearing.
So I gave the shoe another try and Couldn’t even stand wearing it around the house. I’m not giving up on onrunning shoes. They have done good for me and my bunions over the years otherwise ha 😉 Sad to say I’ll be returning.
If it ain’t broke, don’t change it, right? New Balance heeds this advice as they take a very successful version 10 of their popular 1080 and implement only minor tweaks to help towards perfection. Minor changes in the knit upper balancing stretch, lockdown and breathability help this workhorse trainer to fit even better across the foot while the Ultra Heel in the rear of the shoe remains supportive and snug.
The Fresh Foam X midsole remains the same, upon popular demand. If you loved version 10, you’ll continue to love version 11 and appeals to anybody looking for a soft, plush and luxurious ride.
Personally, I really hate when they take a proven shoe and change it – just for the sake of changing it. I have run in the V9 and V10 version of this shoe, and absolutely loved them. With this newest version, some things were arbitrarily changed – I’ve given this set 3 weeks, averaging 15 miles a week or so: – The upper is more rigid now, and now hits my foot at a weird spot, causing bruising.
It’s maybe just my odd foot shape, but the uppers on earlier versions were soft and I didn’t have this problem. – The heel cup is considerably bigger, and even when lacing the heel lock, I can’t get away from my heel slipping and the feeling that it is going to pop out of the shoe.
Again, I can chalk it up to my weird feet, but the heel feels wider on this version than it did on earlier versions. Hence the “runs large” note on this review. – The laces! UGH! Some others have noted this as well, but I cannot keep these suckers tied, even double knotting them.
I don’t even know how you accomplish this little feat of engineering – NB has created a lace that won’t stay tied, no matter what. I gave up and stripped the laces out of my last pair of v10’s, problem solved.
Some qualifiers here – I have a host of foot issues (high arches, not a neutral foot at all), and exceptionally narrow feet as well. These shoes were my haven, as they came narrow enough to fit, but also didn’t aggravate all my other foot stuff.
Sadly, that is no longer the case – 3 weeks in and I’m abandoning the v11’s, they’re causing more pain and issues than they’re worth.
Women’s Running ShoeThe new Glycerin 19, packed with DNA LOFT cushioning throughout the full-length of the midsole, delivers a softer experience from heel to toe than ever before. And, it also comes with the option of GuideRails?? technology for whole-body support.
These sneakers provide the support you need to run comfortably in the Glycerin GTS 19 with GuideRails technology. Located in the midsole, and engineered with your knees in mind, GuideRails technology helps you move comfortably by keeping excess movement in check.
I was excited to get into these new Brooks! I bought them for myself at Christmas and was waiting to wear down my older running shoes before I got the joy of running in another pair of new Brooks- Glycerin! These are my favorite Brooks model and I’ve been wearing them for years.
Unfortunately, right from the moment I tied them on, I could tell they were uncomfortably different. The toebox is tighter which makes the shoe feel a half size smaller than normal and the footprint felt narrower.
I run trails and roads and as soon as I I hit the trail portion of my run, I could feel the breathable mess allowing trail dust and sand just fill up my shoes. And once I got into my second mile the narrow base allowed for me to easily roll my ankle on a tiny crack in the sidewalk.
These are terribly, TERRIBLY disappointing. They are not stable, squeesh your toes, and allow the trail to totally flood in with dirt and sand. If you’re looking for your favorite, reliable Glycerin’s, this model isn’t it.
I am a Brooks fan, the only running shoe I will wear because of its fit and design that helps with my high arch. The Ghost is my go to shoe and the Glycerine is my long run shoe. When I saw the Glycerine 20’s were coming out, I immediately had to get a pair.
I loved the previous version. I loved to look of the shoe (triple black) and the fit felt like my old Ghosts, almost like a race shoe. So far so good. But then I wore them on my long run. Unlike my previous Glycerine’s, the 20’s had no cushioning or bounce.
It took a toll on the bottom of my feet. I purchased a padded insole to help absorb some of the shock, and tried that out last night, but it had limited impact. It almost feels like I am running in my work dress shoes.
I was told that the shoe takes a while to break in so I will continue wearing them hoping that I start to feel some shock absorbtion. In my case, the impact is felt in the ball of my foot. I hope this changes because I like the fit of these.
Ironically, my new Ghosts feel like my old Glycerines and my new Glycerines feel like my old Ghosts. As of right now, the Glycerine 20’s are not what I had hoped.

I been researching this product for sometime now , when I seen Alex smith on an advertisement I was finally push over the top,to make a purchase. I suffer with a serious bad back, neck, and I also have RSD! My legs are always in pain 24/7,so I am always looking for something to help with the pain/getting some relief.
Up to this moment nothing has helped ,there is nothing out on the market as far as medication or a machine of any kind that is a cure,or that is made to relieve pain. So with that said I decided to make this purchase and give another product a chance to see if it would help with a little release from the leg pain and back pain.
My purchase came in on a Saturday about a week ago; the day they came my legs were really bad with pain I was having trouble walking ect. I unpacked the flip flops and right away put them on; with in minutes I was receiving relief from my pain ,the longer I wore them the better my legs felt, it was a unbelievable moment with in a short period of time I was experiencing NO PAIN ! I have been looking for anything over the years and god knows I spent so much money over the years looking for anything that would give me even a little relief; nothing ! Until now it has been a week ,maybe a little over a week and the longer I have these Oofos flip flops on the better my legs, feet ,and my back felt better; and my leg pain is pretty much non existent! I still can’t believe it; so I took them off and wore my regular sneakers / shoes and just the opposite started happening my leg pain came back with in minutes I couldn’t believe the difference versus with and without my Oofos flips flops on my feet it was a MOMENT! I am pretty sure I finally found some relief after 25YEARS of suffering with this RSD pain let alone my back issues ! I am still thinking or looking over my shoulder waiting for the bomb to drop and this great relief I been experiencing was just a temporary thing! So far as I stated earlier I do not want to take these Oofos flips flops OFF! The only issue I have is I am kicking myself where the sun don’t shine for not purchasing these Oofos flip flops a lot sooner! Already looking at the shoes and sneaker version to be my next purchase ASAP!! IF YOUR READING THIS AND YOUR ON THE FENCE JUMP OVER AND MAKE THIS PURCHASE YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT! BESIDES THEY GIVE YOU 30 DAYS TO RETURN IF YOUR NOT HAPPY! TAKE IT FROM SOMEONE WHO BEEN MAJOR PAIN 24/7 FOR 25 PLUS YEARS TRUST ME IF I SAY THEY ACTUALLY WORK THEY WORK AND THEN SOME; HENCE MY TITLE “UNBELIEVABLE RELIEF “ PRETTY MUCH SUMS THIS PRODUCT UP!!! I CAN NOT SAY ENOUGH ABOUT THIS PRODUCT IT LIKE GOLD TO ME I EXPECT THE RELIEF TO CONTINUE EVEN KNOW I KEEP LOOKING TO SEE IF I AM DREAMING ,AND THAT I AM JUST STILL ASLEEP! NOPE I AM AWAKE IT FOR REAL! THANK GOD!.
I have only tried them on a couple of times yet, but I bought this pair 1/2 size larger than my first pair because my second toe is a bit longer than my big toe, and the only way I could comfortably wear them was barefoot [which is very nice in summer]–with socks they rubbed against the toe end.
I am sure these new ones will be like the others which feel like I am walking on air. The only problem (other than the size) is that I can easily stub my toes walking on the sidewalk because of the straight up-and-down frame of the shoe over the toes–which may also be because I sometimes have a problem raising one of my feet a little higher from the ground when I step forward.
[Thankfully I have never yet fallen because of it]. I am not sure what difference the strap over the front of the ankle on the new shoes will make. After wearing my old ones walking on the City sidewalks for a year [except in winter and wet weather], the tread marks on the sole of the shoe have worn down some, but they still have lots of wear left.
Also, unlike every other pair of canvas shoes I have ever worn, my big toes have not come through on the top to make a hole. This canvas is ultra durable. Only when fall comes and I have to wear socks, will I start wearing the new shoes.
The old ones still have lots of wear left in them.
I’ve purchase 3 pair of Oofos low shoes in the past. This time I purchased the ones that DID NOT have the band across the top of the foot. The ones I usually order were not in stock. I was desperate though so I went ahead with the purchase.
I ordered them Dec 19th/2021 however, I didn’t get them until the beginning of Jan. 2022. I was getting emails from Oofos asking for a review. I couldn’t do that though as I hadn’t rec’d them yet and would need some time to wear them for a bit.
I rec’d them the 1st week of January 2022. I LOVE these shoes and didn’t think I would have a problem. I wore them to work (on my feet for 8 hrs a day) excitedly as I know how good these shoes are. The first day, my sciatic nerve acted up.
which was strange as it hasn’t acted up in a good year. maybe more. A week in, my feet were developing cramps and I was getting some severe IT pain in my right leg (which is the leg I have the sciatic issue.
). Second to third week in, my IT pain was in my right knee, hip was flared up and then starting moving BEHIND my knee into my calf. By the end of the third week I was in soooo much pain all I could do was ice and roll the sciatic and IT bands daily.
The fourth week (last week), I decided to wear my Saucony runners to work to give my feet a rest from Oofos. They don’t look as professional as the Oofos shoe but I was willing to try anything that would help alleviate the pain in my right hip, knee, calf and leg as I was limping and couldn’t sit at all for a period more than 20 min.
To my amazement, the pain was reduced significantly! I NEVER even gave a thought to the issue being with the Oofos shoe! As I sit here typing this, I recently left a phone message with their Customer Service dept (Mark) hoping they will be able to refund me or at the very least give me credit and I will wait for the shoes I’ve always purchased in the past.

These shoes were pure torture on my feet! They were too narrow, even though I ordered a half size bigger and there was little padding on the foot bed even if it’s advertised as Goga foam. It was like walking and standing on concrete! I had to take a day off work because I was in excruciating pain! Sad.
because I actually liked the style and they were lightweight.
I purchased these Go Run Consistent shoes with the air cooled GOGA Mat when I tried them on in a store. I liked them so much I went on your website and purchased another color because they are so comfortable.
They had the best cushion I had ever felt giving your arch the support needed for walking. I walk for exercise and they were great right from day one. A bonus they don’t pick up the little rocks in my driveway.
I have other shoes that do so when you get in and out of your car your floor mats get covered with rocks or walking around in the store you can hear the rocks that are stuck in the grooves of your shoes.
I’ve had back surgery so I really have to be picky about my shoe selection. My best walking shoes ever!!!.
I have been wearing skechers shoes for many years for running/jogging/walking. They are my favourite brand to wear because of their thick comfy soles. I have tried their memory foam ones and goga mat soles and i recommend goga mat soles for running/higher impact workouts.
Memory foam soles can sink over time but goga mat ones don’t. I love the bouncy feel of the goga mat soles. I have pretty big feet and most shoes make my feet look longer, but this design makes my feet look smaller! win for me! I wish they came out with more colors.

Skechers USA Inc. is an American lifestyle and performance footwear company. Headquartered in Manhattan Beach, California, the brand was founded in 1992. Now the third largest athletic footwear brand in the United States.
I actually love these shoes. They are quite attractive in design with great cushioning. I bought them for my travel to feel comfortable. I wore them for over 12 hours on the first day of traveling. The only downside was the feeling of tightness around my upper lift (rise) on the foot – not sure how this part of the foot is called:).
Sorry! However, I think this feeling was due to the natural process when our body tends to swell when we sit long on a flight or in a car and the legs and feet are down all the time. Hence, I believe that when you wear the shoes not all day or walk a lot, the tightness should not be the issue.
The other small downside is the color. I bought them in white (because white matches a lot of colors overall), but with a lot of walking and traveling, you need to clean them too often:). I did this twice during my 5-day trip, which was not a big problem for me.
However, it may be an issue for other people. Other than that, I would still buy the same design but in a different color for sure.
I ordered 10 pairs of in-stock shoes, and this was the only one they could ship. Thank goodness! These are lightweight and go-with-everything taupe. They are very easy to slip on; the back seam is a bit high, which means it never rubs.
I hope other colors become available again. They are a bit large for wearing without some kind of thin sock, but I recently found no-shows that actually don’t show. Skechers, please keep the website more up to date re availability.
Having 9 pairs “in stock” but not shippable is disappointing and concerning. After i was notified of this, i went back online and all were still “in stock. ” But, at least I got one pair from this order.
I wore these for over a week hoping they would feel better but that never happened. They lack comfort, quality, and support. Not to mention they’re WAY overpriced. To be honest, they remind me of Payless shoes.
Horrible all around. I have nothing more to say other than do not purchase these, especially if your foot is a tiny bit wider than the average foot and if you’re looking for a crappy shoe. I also bought New Balance shoes and will continue to do so because they are what they advertise.
Whether it’s a quick 3 miles around the neighborhood at the end of a busy day or a longer endurance run scheduled over the weekend, the Nike React Infinity Run Flyknit 3 offers you cushy responsiveness and breathable support to help reduce injury and keep you running.
A wider forefoot helps provide stability to prevent rolling, while the high foam height gives long-lasting comfort as you pound the pavement in our most tested shoe yet. Ventilated Where Needed An advanced Flyknit upper provides breathability where you need it most.
It’s strong and durable, helping to keep your foot secure with every mile. Flywire technology offers extra support and stability through the midfoot. Cushioned Feel, Higher Stacks Less material between the insole and midsole means you’re closer to the foam.
This helps create a more responsive experience. The foam itself has a higher height, providing a plush feel. Smooth Ride Nike React technology is a lightweight, durable foam that delivers a smooth, responsive ride.
Shaped like a rocker, the foam provides support for the 3 phases of a runner’s stride. It offers flexibility when your foot rises off the ground, a smooth ride when your foot is moving forward and cushioning at ground contact.
I previously owned the React Infinity Run Flyknit V1, and I generally wear a size 11. 5 if the shoe has a reasonable toebox; but the toebox was much too narrow in that version for me, so I had to go up a half size for the V1.
This version has a very comfortable toebox for me, so I was able to go back to my regular size 11. 5. I don’t know all the fancy running shoe terminology that people use, but the shoe is very comfortable and felt wonderful except for a rub just below my outer right ankle.
I tried a pair for a couple of weeks, and the rub never broke in or got any less noticeable, so I thought it might be a defect, so I exchanged them for another pair of the exact same model, and the rub was the same and never got better.
I wanted so bad for these to work for me, and every run I kept hoping ‘maybe this time it will start hurting less,’ but it got to the point where I cringed when I took the first few steps. I finally exchanged them for another model.
On a related note, there is a review from another person who had a problem with the arch on the right shoe only, and he had it on two separate pairs; so maybe there’s something in the manufacture of the right shoe? I really don’t know what to say about the recommendation, except I’d recommend this shoe for everyone except anyone who it rubs wrong; it would have been a wonderful shoe if not for the rub.
I wore these for a 12 mile run right out of the box after purchasing them. This review is only a reflection of that run. Immediately I could tell the comfort was not like other shoes, they feel incredible.
I actually said “woah!” out loud after running my first steps! I have tried many comfort shoes from nike over the years and these are by far the best, no question. Unfortunately, I cannot wear these anymore because the shoe is very narrow, particularly around the pinky toe area.
My pinky toe is pressed tight against the side of the shoe. Towards the end of my run it was in pain due to this that lasted for days. This only happened on my right foot, so I assume this is a me problem.
I am a big Nike shoe person and I have never experienced this issue with any nike shoes in my lifetime. I am very bummed because I was excited to use these as my long/recovery run shoe. I am not giving up on them yet, will try and see if I can widen them somehow because that’s how good they are.
I also want to point out that after my single run, the fabric on the outsides of the ankle support were getting frayed and coming apart on both shoes. This is unacceptable in my opinion, I wore these for two hours!.
After several problems with your Hagerstown, MD store (ask me, go ahead lol) I decided to order online. I ordered on Saturday and they arrived Tuesday. Oh do they feel heavenly. I hardly know I’m wearing them.
The elevated soles are perfect for me. And the footbeds are marvelous, molding to the shape of my feet. I also bought a pair of slip-ons and I love them too. If I could find dress shoes I’d buy them in a second.
For the first time since I got my job, I ended my shift without intense foot pain after purchasing these shoes. However, one drawback is that the lace is barely long enough to do a single bow, and that by managing it quite tightly.
I actually have to put a runner’s loop in my shoes in order to keep them on as I have a narrow heel, and I will need to purchase longer laces in order to do this, as the laces that come with this shoe are simply not long enough, and the rest of my foot is standard width, not wide.
These are by far the best sneakers I ever tried. I said that recently about another one of your shoes, but these have both great cushioning AND great arch & ankle support. And they look good to boot (no pun intended).
I bought an extra pair because I wear them out quickly. Make more just like it, please! I can’t afford to buy enough of them to last me a lifetime. :).

The Women’s VECTIV Hypnum is a sleek, sporty trail shoe specifically designed to meet the needs of female athletes. This unique expression of our VECTIV technology provides broad stability and all-day comfort.
I bought this shoe based on some very positive reviews. I have been trying to find a shoe with a wide toe box to accommodate some feet problems. So far I have been unsuccessful in finding a shoe that works.
The shoe is comfortable to stand in but does not work for me when active. Had I not tried to walk in them outside I would have returned them for another style. The tread on these shoes is great and I appreciate the extra padding in the heel despite needing a wide toe box.
I didn’t like the way the shoe laced up. As I tied it tight the tongue tended to bunch and pinch under the lacing creating a pinch point as I walked. May be a great shoe for some, but simply did not work for me.
The innovative Bondi 7 has the most cushioning among HOKA’s road shoes and offers a comfortable balanced feel over any distance. It has the same full-length EVA midsole breathable mesh upper and signature Meta-Rocker technology as its predecessor but has been beefed up with an incredibly soft cuff.
It is made of ultra-soft memory foam and is also suitable for narrower heels. The cuff adapts very comfortably to different ankle shapes and supports the Achilles tendon. No doubt the Bondi 7 will go with you through thick and thin.
I’ve had the Bondi X for a few weeks and generally run between 6-15km per run 3 times a week. I consider myself a casual runner (for the past 12 years), generally fit and in my mid 40’s. In addition, I have previously used the Bondi Clifton (500km plus) so I can now compare the two.
I found the Clifton extremely spongy and soft and after running beyond 15km’s, I get pains on the outer side of my knee area in which I couldn’t figure out why until a friend suggested that perhaps my shoes did not give enough stability.
I didn’t have this problem with the Bondi X and the only reason I can put it on is that the carbon plate is likely stabilizing my ground contact and hence my knees are not suffering. On short fast running days, I feel the shoe becoming responsive (not as responsive as the Clifton) as I change my running style but I feel the Bondi X at best for long distance (12km plus).
The biggest negative about this shoe is that terrible tongue – its very short and I have to often stop and pull them back up. On long runs, it the tongue goes under the laces and its very annoying. Other than that it’s a good neutral shoe that offers a bit of stability.
I wanted to wait to write this review so I can give an honest one. It’s been about 2 months of wearing these and I am obsessed!! I run about 35-50 miles a week and these have helped my knees and my ankles.
The cushion is next level and the flow of my runs are great. They do alleviate some of the pounding from the sidewalk. Running on Asphalt is even better with these HOWEVER, here comes the con. these do get Little Rock’s stuck in the bottom of the shoe where the X is.
You can feel the rocks every time you step. So that’s a bit annoying but definitely not a deal breaker. My other con is the tongue of the shoe. depending on my socks, the tongue bothers the top of my foot- I find myself having to bed down and move the tongue around.
This doesn’t happen often though, only with short socks. but be aware of that. I also changed out the laces to bungee laces and this changed the game. I want to add that I was nervous about the shoe being too bulky because of the wing on the back.
They do look bulky when holding the shoe but you don’t feel the bulkness of them while running. Overall, I will say these have been one of the best running shoes I have owned and I will likely keep buying these for years to come.
