A robot vacuum designed for high pile carpets is a vacuum cleaner that is specifically designed to clean carpets with a high pile. These vacuum cleaners are typically equipped with special brushes and attachments that help to agitate the dirt and debris trapped in the carpet fibers, making it easier to vacuum up.

Reviews From Real Customers
I had bought a robot vacuum on Amazon, maybe a little less than $100 more than this one, and had fallen in love with it and once i couldn’t find any replacement parts to keep it running at its peak, I saw this on sale for $175 and thought, why not? I’ve owned this not even 24 hours and I absolutely hate it.
It’s loud, REALLY loud, can’t even drown it out with television. It’s really aggressive and hits everything, and it hits everything pretty hard. For the price of this thing I would’ve expected at least some level of intelligence but the only intelligence it comes with is that it returns to the charging doc and that’s it.
It wanders around aimlessly while my other had a convenient zig zag pattern that would clean the entirety of my home. No mapping which, for the price, is a let down, so it won’t even clean my whole house very efficiently.
It can’t navigate very well through hallways or any narrow areas like that, if it hits the wall one too many times it will turn around and not get that area of the house. Constantly cleaning the same areas.
The only pros I found is it does do a good job collecting dirt, and I like that it’ll spin to more thoroughly clean one area but that’s not enough to outweigh all the cons. This thing is annoying and gets stuck and caught on everything while my off brand Amazon purchase wouldn’t, so I wouldn’t bother using the feature to run while I’m not home because it will get stuck.
I had high hopes for this but I’ve been disappointed. I hope to be able to find replacement parts for my other robot vacuum, and sell this or even give it away for free. I can say I’m glad I did not pay full price for this, and I’m even sad to say I wasted $175 on it.
My kids got the Roomba 694 for me for my birthday recently. I have had it about a week, now – and am enjoying it. It’s novel to me to have an appliance connected to WiFi, and to name it. So – my Roomba 694 has been named “Elon Musk”.
I thought it quite appropriate that Elon Musk should be sweeping my floors and doing “real work” in the world. I, however, can count on Elon getting stuck as soon as he leaves his home base, and calling out for help.
I have him scheduled for a 7am start in the mornings, and by 7:03, he calls out for assistance because he has gotten stuck in a tight spot, or feels as if he will fall off a cliff. While it is quite the ego boost for me to be the one to save Elon Musk from these perils of the land – it would be nice if he would remember these spots and avoid them.
Good thing I didn’t name him “Indiana Jones” – else he would have found the quicksand in the house!Today – when I ended his job and instructed it to return to base – it bumbled around every room in the house – much like a 5 year old child who refuses to go to bed at an appropriate time.
After about 20 minutes of him not finding (or going near) the base, I had to cleverly corral it to the right direction by letting it bump my feet until it got the right idea on a direction to go to return to dock.
Overall – a great and entertaining gift – that really isn’t as autonomous as it could be. Maybe a software update to add some memory/mapping intelligence?.
We bought our Rumba at Costco a few years back. I was so excited since it was my first IRobot. We have two Australian shepherds and a cat. Pets owner will agree with me that cleaning after your long hair fur babies is a non-stop process and seems like your floors stay clean only 10-15 min after you vacuum.
Rumba makes my life so much easier. My husband and I work from home and I was able to empty the dirt reservoir when needed during my workday. We have multiple levels in our house and the vacuum never falls on the stair.
It was so nice to have clean home at the end of our work day without spending time swiping and vacuuming. What a great addition to our family! I can cook or exercise after 8 hours of work instead of vacuuming! I can spend more time with my family instead of constantly cleaning the floor.
We even have fewer arguments after we got Rumba. We love our new cleaning gadget till. A few months later our Rumba broke. It keeps stopping just after a few turns. I detailed my vacuum regularly as it was instructed, Irobot never fail of being stepped on.
I took the vacuum to a special vacuum prepare store where I fixed my Dison before and they refuse to even look at it since they are so tired of broken Rumbas and suggested sending it to the manufacturer instead.
I decided that I try to call the service and got nowhere with the representative. Then Covid got in US. I put my Rumba in the closet and decided to wait for better days. I feel silly to bother anyone with my Rumba problems during the pandemic.
Today,2 years later I got my Rumba from the closet. Unfortunately, the gadget still has the same issue – after being fully charged makes a few spins then stop. Feels like some minor fix is needed but I cant figure it out.

TranslateShow in original languageŚwietny do codziennego sprzątania sierści. Mam psa i kota, które codziennie gubią kłęby kłaków a Cwaniak Sweeva doskonale sobie z nimi radzi. Zbiera żwirek wysypany z kuwety, piach z butów i inne drobne śmieci.
Radzi sobie z niskimi (1,3 cm) szerszymi progami.
Żeby szybko trafił do bazy, najlepiej wyłączyć go w jej okolicach. Za tą cenę w zupełności spełnia moje oczekiwania, mam świetnego pomocnika w codziennym odkurzaniu po moich zwierzakach, podłoga jest czyściutka a ja mam czas poczytać książkę :).
The smart(er) way to clean. With advanced AI navigation and Shark’s signature suction power, this self-empty XL robot vacuum precisely cleans hard floors and carpet row by row, while avoiding objects day or night.
Using the SharkClean app, you can target and deep-clean single rooms and areas that need it most, schedule cleaning times, and set no-go zones (and do it all with your phone or your voice). Intelligence and power — all with hands-free convenience.
When it comes to cleaning, you can have it all. From Shark.
Work smarter, not harder! The iRobot Roomba 960 takes nearly all the work out of vacuuming your floors. Start it up with the push of a button, then use Wi-Fi to connect to the iRobot HOME app where you can schedule its cleaning time and create custom cleaning paths — none of which involve you pushing around a vacuum or broom.
This little robot rolls around on its own, using a three-stage cleaning system that works on most floors. It even responds to walls and ledges, so you won’t have to worry about it getting stuck or flipping over.
I bought this June 2019 – it worked great for the first year. Then it got caught, and the outer plastic was dislodged from the track – it has never been the same. Customer service, reboot, troubleshooting, you name it, I couldn’t get it to work for a whole year.
3 different techs tried to work on it. I made sure it wasn’t charged for so long that the battery was completely dead, and then tried again. Still nothing. One day, the fan motor was touched, and it all worked again.
So after a full year plus of no use, it started to work again earlier this year. Then there was a jam, dislodged from the track, went through the whole process again, after MANY MANY MANY correspondences with customer service.
Finally I took the battery out and voila, it worked. But these issues still remain a problem: 1. It does not connect to the Wi-Fi. The other Roomba in the house does 2. It does not charge. Even when it is on the dock with the lights illuminating as charging, it still does not show that it is fully charged and when manually pressing the button to start a new job it gives me the error code to charge Roomba while on the dock.
I always double check that it is charging after putting him back on, but if he does not go back on himself, and I have to manually put him on the dock, it never seems to charge as it should. 3. iRobot® Dual Mode Virtual Wall® Barrier I have this set to block under the stair railings, as the Roomba (Bubba/He) will get stuck.
Even though online says that all you have to do is turn it on once, and it will beep and blink if the batteries are dead, I will still turn it off and then back on again since it doesn’t seem to work.
He still passes the invisible line and gets stuck. 4. If I’m in an “all else fails” scenario, where I have to trouble shoot, ran diagnostics, factory reset etc. and it still has an issue, I’d have to remove the battery completely, and then reset.
I have been trying to get a resolution with iRobot for over 3 months, contacting via the app (customer service, help, and feedback) and online forms. I’ve even emailed them on prior email threads hoping to get contact there, and it’s been radio silent.
I bought this for nearly $600 2 years ago, and now they are half the price, and won’t make the effort to resolve these issues.
I bought my iRoomba for pet hair on wood floors. Mostly it does the job, you have to pick up all throw rugs, and loose cords, it will get tangled in them. I recommend always being there to supervise.
If you missed something, or it closes itself in a room, or it gets caught up on a closet track – once mine fell over the steps to the utility room even though it’s supposed to sense the ledge, or it might pick up a large object that obstructs it, it’s just best to be there, because problems aren’t uncommon.
My biggest complaints have to do with the software. For the price, you should be able check the charge level & know how long it’s going to take. It will tell you the time left ONLY when it’s in the middle of a job – otherwise you have to guess.
When it goes back to Home to recharge, it’s not easy to tell if it’s done or if it’s still in the middle of a job. It usually makes a little chime to let you know, but if you miss it. I mentioned it tells you how much time is left in the charge if it’s in the middle of a job – but not always.
If I miss the chime I just can’t know if it’s going to start up and finish the job, or if it’s done already. If it gets restarted, you can’t ask it to go back to a halfway completed job and finish it – you’ve just started from the beginning and it has no idea what part of the house it’s already done.
You should be able to go back to a partially completed job and ask it to finish. I mean for the price, you’d think they would put more thought into the technology and make it more convenient for the user.
I’ll be trying another top brand the next time I buy a robot vacuum.
You know it’s nice to have this product but it doesn’t vacuum on any sort of regular path. It will go around an object, but instead of straightening out and turned around and goes the other direction.
I have found it impossible to vacuum my house unless I stop it and pick it up and put it where I wanted to go. Then let’s say you hit the home button for it to go home. It will wander around back-and-forth once it bumps into something it turns around and goes the wrong direction away from the base the base then here’s another problem if your base is sitting on the tile floor the device will roll up to it and slide back-and-forth trying to find its point to recharge and his slides back-and-forth well it does that on the tile floor it moves the base charger so the vacuum cleaner box up and starts all over again wandering around for about 20 or 30 seconds on the floor.
If you set your charger base on the carpet you will discover that the elevation of your carpet screws with the ability for the vaccum to recharge technology is OK but it’s not anything like what it should be spend this kind of money.
You’re better off just using a regular vacuum cleaner once a week or twice a week. Use the money you spent on this high overpriced item to take your wife or girlfriend to dinner multiple times. Suggestions to repair the rumba charge base needs to have rubber pieces to keep it in place on tile floors.
This obviously would work on carpeted Base location as well. If we can program cars to avoid obstacles and keep going straight there and this product is far from that. Again there are other brands and do a better job in cost less money than this product.

My husband got me the Roomba 675 for Christmas and OMG. by FAR my favorite gift!!! I love this little thing. We have mostly hardwood floors and a few area rugs along with a shedding Labrador retriever.
This little roomba, sent out once a day for a half hour, has been amazing! My house has never been more consistently presentable. For those who want it to. For those that want a Roomba to deep vacuum their house, be aware, this is not a deep vacuum cleaner, BUT it is the best sweeper I’ve ever seen, to include using my broom and dust pan (which I used to have to do at least every other day just to keep my floors from looking like a quarry).
The Roomba picks up 90 to 95 percent of the tracked in gravel, sand, pieces of grass, maple tree helicopters, spilled cereal, dropped toast crumbs, dog hair, dust, coffee grounds. the list goes on and on.
So yeah, I HIGHLY recommend this product, just be aware, you do still have to actually vacuum your rugs etc with an actual vacuum cleaner periodically, but wow. for day to day tidying up? Yeah, I know it a machine, but honestly, I am already very fond of it! It isn’t very loud either, I mean it does make some noise, it is an electronic sweeper after all, but I can easily watch the news at normal volume or listen to music without it bothering me while it goes around d and does chores that I would have otherwise had to do myself.
LOVE IT! Adding. it does help the roomba to pick up your shoes and to pull the chairs out from under the dining room table a bit, but that is a small price to pay in my opinion to have a hardwood floor that is ‘guest presentable ‘ at any given time.
I do live in a single story home, 2400 sq. Feet, but even this basic model of roomba seems to be learning my homes layout, and if I want it to go somewhere else, I just block it with my foot and off it goes in a new direction.
Maybe I am easy to please, after reading some of the other reviews that were quite critical of its performance, but yeah. I LOVE THIS THING!.
I purchased a Roomba 692 on 1221622021, 02/08/22, the side brush stopped working. Of course it’s past the 30 day Amazon return period, so after a painful hold time of 40 minutes, the young customer service tech says she will send me a replacement part.
I tell her I am worried about this hunk of junk breaking down every month, I mean one of the components didn’t even last 2 months. So Irobot sends a a Roomba 675, no instructions, 35 minutes with irobot tech support because it wont connect to my internet, he tells me to reset my phone and that he would call me back in 5 minutes, guess what he never called me back.
I research 675, you can’t even buy it. Did Irobot swindle me, I paid more than this replacement is worth, but come to think of it, these irobots are nothing but hunk of junks. I will NEVER recommend these products to anyone.
oh and thanks for the printed manual for an outdated model, NOT, this company couldn’t even send me a manual.

The GOOVI Robotic Vacuum is packed with intelligent performance and innovation for an incredible automatic clean on floors and carpets. This product is developed using cutting-edge technologies to meet various cleaning needs, offering outstanding versatility and convenience for everyday use.
From floors to carpets, small to large debris, the GOOVI Robotic Vacuum D380 gives you 1600Pa powerful suction for countless surfaces and messes. It can reach hard-to-reach spaces like along baseboards and under low furniture.
It adapts to clean multiple surfaces, like area rugs, low pile carpet, and hard floors, and it has smart sensors which provide plenty of functions such as anti-collision, anti-drop, and self-charging.
The D380 has a number of different modes for you to choose from to clean whatever mess it may encounter. The spot cleaning feature lets it go in a circular pattern and then reverse and go back to the starting point so that if you have a sudden spill it can take care of it.
In the edge mode, it will follow a wall to pick up debris in highly trafficked areas where it is often shoved off to the side. You can choose the mode and control this robot with the remote control. You can stop the vacuum, reverse it, or change directions using the remote as well.
A timer allows you to choose when you want the robot to clean.
This product is a great buy for this price point. Not sure it performs as it should for options such as edge cleaning and it tends to navigate small parts but not all parts of every room. The battery lasts two hours on low and 1 hour on high.
I have so much dog hair that its definitely adjunctive to any real regular vacuuming. And you must change the brushes if they have gotten bent and tangled in wires or long carpet ( my learning curve) because otherwise they do not brush the floor correctly and leaves a lot of hair in its path.
So, used correctly with good brushes and daily cleaning its a good deal. It sure any other vacuum out there can really do much better. They all need cleaning. This motor works well!.
Love the relatively inexpensive Robot Vacuums. Made in China and all share similarity’s. We chose the GOOVI 1600PA for it’s features and low price. We needed one that could detect stairs and shared the same brushes as our other model.
The replacement side brushes and roller brush are readily viable at at knockdown prices. It does a great job on our thick Berber carpet and small area rugs as well as the wood grain vinyl floors. We also liked the 2 day Free Shipping from Walmart.
Love what it does for the price. Saw the list price to be over 200 bucks but got it for just a little over a $100. It does move around a bit randomly, but is highly effective in picking up 99% of debris from wood and carpet floors.
4 stars because the box said it is supposed to come with a set of 4 front rotating brushes but i found only 2 in the box and their customer care email address seems to be incorrect.

Vacuum works great but it gets stuck under the fridge and dishwasher which I dont like. It senses the stairs so that was good. Didnt mop to good and it got stuck even more mopping than it does vacuuming.
The app works ok but needs improvement with features and commands should have both for vacuum and mopping.

Great device and does exactly what it should. Easy to use and great to be able to set it off, shut the doors and come back to a clean room. It does get a little lost trying to find the dock if it is in a different room, but not a big deal.
Efficiency is great given cat hair and human hair is all through the house. Is amazing on carpet also.
When it actually works, it vacuums really well. Forget trying to program auto times, that process is laborious & in the end doesn’t work. Don’t buy this for the mopping feature, that is useless too. I find it works really well 50% of the time.
Would spend more & get a model with an app if I had my time again.
Purchased this as an update to my 8 year old robot and find it is indeed a great update. I can recommed this item as value for money and also recommend MYER as a company that is good to do business with.
Speedy delivery and packed well for it’s journey to it’s new home. I named it Burt.
Connect to CLEAN from anywhere with the Roomba 690 Wi-Fi Connected Vacuuming Robot. The revolutionary Patented 3-Stage Cleaning System with Edge-Sweeping brush is specially engineered to loosen, lift, and suction dirt and debris from all floor types.
Dirt Detect uses acoustic sensors to alert the Roomba vacuuming robot to clean more thoroughly on concentrated areas of dirt. You can pre-set the Roomba 690 vacuuming robot to clean every day, at times that work best for your schedule and the iRobot HOME App lets you clean and schedule conveniently; now compatible on devices with Amazon Alexa and the Google Assistant.
This is the most annoying product. My mother bought it to save me time with seven people in the household. It always has a problem. The filter and dustpan need cleaning constantly. Hair gets in the wheels or it’s on uneven surface or the little whiskers are tangled.
I am so disappointed that a product that is supposed to make your life easier is so needy and unreliable. In three years it’s worked 3 times for a full job. Yep, that’s way more than $100 per cleaning.
I bought this on a whim a few years ago without having done much research about the better roomba vacuums out there. I already had IRobot’s braava jet mop/swiffer bot that works really well so I felt pretty safe buying the more expensive vacuum version.
Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this model for a few reasons: 1. This robot is basically ineffective because it just darts around randomly rather than following any cleaning pattern or mapping rooms. This means it will always miss entire parts of your house – and not even always the same ones.
I was really surprised by this essentially fatal design shortcoming because the braava jet bot I also own costs half as much and has a clear cleaning pattern. $299 is on the high end of the “budget robot vacuum” spectrum so frankly it’s not worth $300 for a robot that just wanders around and misses most the dirt.
2. This thing is LOUD. Maybe as loud as a regular vacuum. This means you aren’t exactly going to run it while you are in the same room or while you sleep (or your baby sleeps, etc). It’s basically for running while you’re not home BUT as said before: it’s cleaning route is completely random and it’s likely to miss a lot and get stuck when unattended.
3. If you have any furniture like chairs that have legs that aren’t simple peg design, it will get stuck trying to go over them always. You end up having to move so much furniture and stuff out of its path that it’s basically more work than vacuuming yourself.
4. When you tell it to stop cleaning and return HOME it just spends another 40 minutes wandering around before seemingly reluctantly returning to its base. Why? There are some features I like about this robot model such as the virtual wall capabilities (you can set a little sensor which creates an invisible barrier).
But overall I think this model is too much money considering it’s serious drawbacks. I’d spend a few hundred more on a model or brand that is better designed.
iRobot – Roomba 690 App-Controlled Robot Vacuum I live in a carpeted 900 square feet apartment with my wife, 8 years old son, and 2 cats. We have a shark for normal vacuuming and a Bissell wet vacuum which we use once a week and once a month respectively to keep the house clean and avoid allergies, and funny smells when we have guests coming.
Which is OK if the both of us didn’t have full time jobs and so many sport practices and activities to take our son to. So here comes the Roomba and what is saved us in time and agony (and some time fights on who’s turn to vacuum is it today!).
This little devil did way more than what was expected of it in terms of accuracy, cleaning, and cat hair removal. And we will be using it every day to keep the carpets clean, and our cats somewhat freaked out (No cats were harmed in this review).
I will start with the cons because the only con I found is the price, but this is very normal considering the technology and if you want to be lazy, you have to pay up! The pros are: Very easy to get it to start, just pull out the battery isolator, plug the dock in electricity, place the Roomba on the doc, let it charge for a couple of ours, and while doing so, you can connect your new Roomba to your home network by downloading the app from the google or App store depending on the maker of your phone.
Connecting to your home network is very easy, it took less than a minute, and that’s including linking it to my Google home (it can be linked to google home, Alexa, google assistant on phones that support it.
I can’t attest to Iphones since we do not own any). After a while on the charger, I had many options to start the Roomba, I could do it by pressing the clean button on the machine, or by using the provided Roomba app, or by telling my android phone with Google assistant: Ok Google.
please ask Roomba to start cleaning (which I did). Roomba moved out of its dock, started a not so high vacuuming noise and found its way around my apartment, and boy it did clean (check the pictures, this was collected in 15 minutes only from a carpet that was vacuumed 3 days ago!).
Roomba moved easily between my many pieces of furniture and never got stuck once, more over, it ran over a charging cable without eating it or shredding it to pieces. And its height of less than 4 inches gave it an advantage over my shark by going under furniture without the need to lift anything.
Roomba left little track marks on the carpet unlike my Shark (some will say marks mean more cleaning power), but I liked that, because the pattern of Roomba is random. Roomba also comes with a little virtual barrier that you can turn on to create a virtual wall that Roomba can’t cross or set it up to make a halo to protect a small area of about 4 feet from being approached by Roomba (useful in case of pet food, drinking water).
I asked Roomba to end cleaning using Google assistant so it stopped and asked me if I wanted it to go back to its charging base which I agreed to, and it’s magic! Roomba went back to its dock and started charging again.
I am super satisfied by this Roomba, and I can say it’s a perfect addition to any small apartment with pets in it. The app can schedule Roomba to run different programs 7 days a week.

My sister has had a Shark Ion for 4 years and absolutely loves it. I finally broke down and decided to try it. My research says Shark is the best and I found Best Buy to have the best price -plus I had some bonus dollars off.
This unit is the low to middle end of the market. I know there are a lot more expensive models that do a lot more things but, I figure I can empty the dust bin myself and my home is only 1800 sq ft – no stairs, not pets, mostly all laminate and tile floors.
Out of the box, I put on the brushes and started it charging. It says the charging station has to have a lot of clearance around it. I actually put it next to an entry way table but, the table is open underneath.
So, to the charging table, it looks clear on both sides even though it is looking under a table on one side. It works! It’s happy. I had a little challenge with the wireless link as it needed a 2G connection.
I finally got it to work and, honestly, I don’t know what I did to make it work. Just keep trying! For the first cleaning test, we closed off the two bedrooms that are carpeted and left open the rest of the 1800 sq ft house.
The unit did a wonderful job everywhere and then returned to its base. It successfully went under the dining room table and over all the throw rugs including thick ones in the guest bathroom and the thick rubber mats in the kitchen.
After it charged (a few hours), I guided it in the carpeted master bedroom, bath and walk-in closet and closed the bedroom door. After 30-35 minutes I went in and the area looked great. I then guided it into the second carpeted bedroom where I got the same result.
Oh, Shark Ion, where have you been all my life! I did link and name the unit through Alexa. If I get the wording just right, Toby (as I called the unit) does start cleaning, pause or return to base, but sometimes I can’t remember the right words.
In those cases, I either have to look up the correct phrases to say or simply walk over to the unit and hita button. It is fun, however, to control the unit through Alexa or on the phone app. Bottom line, for our size home with no pets and mostly non-carpeted floors, this is an excellent robot vacuum.
Seriously, not to be dramatic, but this thing has changed our quality of life. We have 2 dogs, 1 cat, and a bunny. One of the dogs is 100 pounds and sheds so badly; it’s the light weight, all over everything, dust bunny in the corner, floating through the air kind of hair.
Our other dog has the short needle like stuff that embeds itself into furniture and clothing and sometimes the bottom of your feet like a needle. I used to come home from work and be greeted with hair everywhere.
I have no idea where it comes from. I vacuum, and the next thing I know there’s hair literally rolling across the hardwood like a hairy tumbleweed. I finally caved and bought this little shark robot thing and OH MY GOD.
I’m obsessed. I turn it on once a day when I’m not even home, and I come home and there’s no hair! Seriously. None. This poor little robot thing bumps its way around every piece of furniture, getting underneath the tv console, the couch, around the coffee table.
It reaches every part of the room I use it in. It has these little wispy wand things that come out from the sides that are great for catching hair tucked in corners of the room. I downloaded the app and turn it on when I’m gone and then when it’s finished, it finds its way back to its dock.
It’s pretty cool. I bought a new vacuum the same day I ordered this; they arrived the same day and I haven’t even needed to use the vacuum! It’s a pricey little gadget, but if you have shedding dogs, this will add years to your life.
I purchased this as a replacement for a 4 year old iRobot that gave up the ghost. It has 3 suction speeds (eco, normal, max). I have only run it in “normal” but it is so much quieter than the one it replaced.
I can actually hold a normal conversation as this roams around my feet. The “eco” mode is supposed to be even quieter but I don’t see the need. The previous unit made enough noise to occasionally wake me sleeping on another floor.
It is also about half the weight of the previous unit, making it much easier to carry upstairs. The mesh screen in front of the filter should limit the filter replacements. It has a comb to prevent roller from becoming hair bound, but don’t count on that being effective.
I expected the app to map my rooms, that feature isn’t for this model. Alexa integration leaves a little to be desired. As a vacuum, super quiet, with low maintenance, I think we can give it 2 thumbs up.
