Best Red Hair For Cool Skin Tones (2024 Updated)

As someone who has been going through the “red hair” phase if you will since I was 13. I don’t call it a phase anymore. I have used almost every brand out there. This is the best 😍. It is so beautiful and holds color so well.

I love every shade they have. It is an absolute amazing dye and my hair feels so wonderful after.

IšverstiShow in original languageI’m naturally dirty blonde but regularly dye my hair dark brown. I alternate between dying just my roots and dying my whole head of hair since the whole thing doesn’t need dying that often but it looks terrible when my blonde roots start coming through.

I usually use one of the other Wella colour touch shades (think it’s 4/71) but decided to buy this one since it was on sale and is also a brown, but it came out looking a reddish brown which just wasn’t very flattering on my roots – in some lighting it just looks brunette but in other lighting you can really see the red.

On the box it says “medium intense brunette brown” so there was no indication of it having strong red undertones but it could have been my mistake – maybe it’s on a colour chart somewhere that I didn’t look at.

Overall though, I really like the Wella Color Touch dyes, I’ve been using them regularly for about a year and a half – they never leave my hair feeling dry and they’re easy to mix and apply.

Домашние маски с кефиром или маслом вымывают краску заметно! Палитра темнее, чем кажется. У меня природный шоколадно-коричневый цвет волос, и я никак не могу правильно побрать тон и цвет. Тон 6 темноватый, похожий нак кофе, хотя цвет богатый и красивый и мне очень идет, но я все-таки хотела бы получить мой естественный тон и цвет.

Но палитра цветов большая, думаю, что со временем найду свой цвет.

Das wäre prinzipiell unerheblich aber die Produkte unterscheiden sich doch voneinander obwohl sie die gleiche Bezeichnung haben und kein Hinweis auf Notino zu finden ist, dass es sich hierbei um kein Produkt für den deutschen Markt handelt: Das Produkt für den Osten/Süden ist wesentlich dünnflüsseiger und nicht so cremig ist, was dazu führt, dass die Auftragung schwieriger ist weil es mehr tropft.

Man muss also mit kleineren Mengen arbeiten was natürlich auch länger dauert. Das Resultat nach dem Waschen und Föhnen ist aber qualitativ in Ordnung. Mal sehen ob die Haltbarkeit ähnlich ist zum Produkt für den Norden/Westen.

IšverstiShow in original languageY’all, I have been struggling with my hair recently. I moved towns and lost my long term hairstylists as a result. Three new hairstylists later, dissatisfied and tired of paying city prices for inferior service, I decided to take my hair into my own hands.

Try as I might, I kept getting it wrong with dyes from Sally’s, once dying it so dark that I freaked and washed it with evil shampoo and baking soda a million times to try to bleed the color out. Then me and my head full of greys decided that, gosh darn it, we were going to try henna.

I got a henna cream by another company and it left me with highlighter orange roots despite being a mahogany shade. I had ordered some natural red henna from Henna Guys previously but talked myself out of using it because the shade was too light.

So I ordered the Burgundy. Last night, I mixed the henna/indigo/clay powder with approximately 2 cups of black coffee and beat it dutifully until it resembled brownie batter. I left it over night and woke up early this morning, washed my hair with clarifying shampoo, blowed it dry.

After I stirred in a tablespoon of ACV, it was time to apply my henna. I found it went on great and honestly liked the application process more than chemical dyes. I put the bowl over a trashbag in my sink but honestly I made less of a mess than I normally do.

I applied to just my roots and a couple inches down and let it sit 1. 5 hour. Then I added it to my lengths for the remaining 1. 5 hour. I rinsed as instructed and conditioned some argan deep conditioner.

I am so stoked. I am in love with this henna and I am never looking back! Isn’t this just the prettiest color?.

That can’t happen with pure henna. No highlights, dyed my hair a uniform dark red. It was a nice color though. Then, I noticed that I was shedding a lot. Which, I had read in other reviews and didn’t think it was a big deal.

I don’t normally shed so I wasn’t too concerned. The other day I realized my hair was actually breaking off about two inches from my scalp. I’ve never had that happen before. I was growing out my hair and now I’ll have to cut it pixie length.

I’m afraid to put any color on top since I don’t know what was in the henna. Oh, and it’s been two months and the color is still bleeding when I shower (I don’t use harsh shampoo or anything with honey or tea tree oil which I noticed will lighten henna).

It’s super disheartening after reading all the good reviews. This stuff is not BAQ. For those interested, I used the Deep Red Henna Hair Dye (has clay in it, which I’ve used before) dye released with room temperature chamomile tea.

Dye released overnight and applied to clean damp hair for 3 hours.

It did not disappoint! It layered over henna beautifully, concealed grey and did not sting or stink when applying. I hope it holds up well after a few washes. My only thing is that the color (Light Brown cappuccino) turned out darker than expected.

It’s more of a medium or maybe even dark brown, not a light brown.

IšverstiShow in original languageAlthough I love Aveda and it’s hair care/styling products, I am not a fond of Demi permanent line. Every 15 minutes, it goes a shade darker, so a quick application at the bowl is a MUST.

This line can give you the ability to create a nice gloss of your choice by adding pure pigments. Another down side is that it fades fairly quickly for tones that are not blondes. Overall, this is not my choice of gloss/toner.

IšverstiShow in original languageI used this color with the Aveda cream developer number 20. The box instructions were 1:1 ratio color to developer, and if you use a digital scale to measure the color and developer, follow instructions, then mix well, you can achieve excellent results.

After letting the color set for 25-30 mins. and rinsing to clear, I conditioned with Bumble & Bumble Hairdresser’s Conditioner for 2-3 minutes for super soft hair.

IšverstiShow in original languageA little expensive for the results I got. It creased and smeared off onto clothes and everything else. I have sensitive skin and it didn’t irritate it, so it’s plus. I didn’t notice any lifting properties to it.

Maybe it would better for some else but I’m sure you can find a foundation that works better for the same price or cheaper.

IšverstiShow in original languageI have been dying my hair for years now, and the temporaries are the best for me, just giving that extra boost to my already red hair. This activator was very kind to my hair, didn’t smell bad, and seemed to deposit the dye evenly through the hair.

It mixed easily (you do need to get a bottle or bowl) and didn’t burn my scalp. I even had a little tiny cut on my neck from having my hair cut (it’s very short in the back and the stylist uses a razor to trim it at the nape of my neck) but the developer didn’t even phase the cut.

Seems to be a good product when used with the color gems product line.

It comes in only 3 colors, so going blonde is foolproof: honey- for darker hair, blonde- for medium/light brown to blonde hair platinum- for light blonde hair.

“Honey” is STUNNING then adding in the “Blonde” later will give you multi dimensional tone that is stunning. I have tried other brands to mix things up over the years the color is never right, I always go back to this.

And for the price. you cannot beat it. As long as your hair color is within the “limits” of the colors that can use this color (ex. If you have pretty dark hair start with the honey kit, then blonde, then platinum if you’d like.

) Since this is a kit it will only lift (lighten) hair so much so follow the guide for how your hair is now to pick the correct color of the 3 (be patient if you need to start with “Honey”, you will get to blonde soon I promise! But follow the directions! It is a cap which is tedious so a few TIPs I have learned: pre-punch the holes so it goes faster, make sure you brush your care before putting on the cap (must be tangle free completely!) then put on the cap pull as much or as little hair thru that you want.

Apply the bleach to your roots (or the darkest part of your hair) 1st, then let it sit for the amount of time it instructs. EVEN if it looks like it’s getting too blonde just trust it let it work it’s magic.

ORANGE: if you have had bad experiences before, with kits turning your hair orange it means 1 of 2 things: your hair was too dark for the kit you chose /or you didn’t leave it on long enough. So TRUST me, even if it looks too blonde leave it on! (If it does turn out too white or yellow blonde it is easily fixible, just Google how to tone blonde hair with “Wella Charm” toners, they’re sold at Sally’s you can pick the correct tone of blonde fix it easily! You don’t have to live with too blonde of hair!! But basically this kit has NEVER done me wrong.

It gives me amazing, salon quality highlights every single time!! As a gift I got a gift card to go get highlights done let’s just say I am buying this to FIX the highlights I got done at the salon. TIPS: when it comes time to rinse grab your shampoo cond.

scissors to cut the tie under your chin, leave the cap ON bend your head over under the bath faucet shampoo the heck out of it, then condition the heck out of it I mean a lot! Cut the cap strings slowly start to wiggle the cap off (while head is still on the running water) apply more conditioner if you need to be patient, don’t pull or rip any hair bc it is already weak from bleach.

If you have long hair just can’t seem to get it off don’t panic! Put more conditioner in use a wide comb if you need to if needed just cut a bit more of the cap keep wiggling. The whole cap part is intimidating you will probably want a friend handy the 1st time to help get all your hair pulled thru maybe for washing but it’ll get easier the more you do it! You’ll eventually be able to do your whole head without looking even but it is a pain I will admit.

After going blonde: a purple shampoo is great to use a few times a week, also a deep conditioning mask 1x minimum is a must! If hou have damaged hair already then try sleeping in a hair mask 1-2x a week.

HASK at Walgrens has some AMAZING individual packets of various masks (even one for blonde) that ROCK. Also pick up a few of their vials of hair oil. (Any is great. ) They look small but they last a long time.

Use a dime-sized amount through the mid-shaft ends daily on wet or dry hair. It makes it softer, shinier, tames frizz repairs. You will need to take care of your hair now to keep it hydrated esp if you use heat on it Also grab a heat protectant from Loreal while you’re there, (black bottle!) This long review is over finally lol but I hope I helped some blonde newbies!.

Applicerade produkten i torrt hår i ca. 20 min innan jag duschade håret som vanligt, till mitt hår räckte inte riktigt en flaska men jag kammade igenom håret med produkten i för att försöka täcka så mycket hår som möjligt.

Märkte ingen direkt skillnad i vått hår, men efter jag fönat det känner jag verkligen att håret är mjukare och har mer glans. På bilden är mitt hår bara fönat, om jag skulle platta/locka håret skulle det bli ännu glansigare, och då ska tilläggas att mitt hår ser ut som en frissig lejonman efter jag fönat det i vanliga fall.

Plus: – Prisvärd. – Enkel att använda. – Mitt bångstyriga hår upplevs glansigare och lenare. Minus: – Mindre flaska än jag trodde, nästa gång köper jag två till mitt tjocka hår. – Doften är inte så rolig, påminner om permanentvätska.

IšverstiShow in original languageI have tried many Demi permanent hair color lines from many brands for toning my blonde hair, and I have found that the Igora Vibrance Royal lines is my favorite and always turns out lovely.

I like to mis 9. 4 with 9,521 or 9. 1 to tone my highlights to a neutral blonde. I use the corresponding 6 volume developer, 1:1. Obviously if youre looking at Demi hair color, you know that using Wella T18 on anything but platinum hair that is all one color is not a good idea.

If you highlight or balayage at home, or even need to tone salon highlights, this is a great line! There are color charts online if you need color guidance. :).

I love this hair dye! I have tried many different Brands and have coloured my hair lots but I have to say hands down this is my favourite hair dye! the colour comes out perfect and I’m so in love with the colour.

It’s also reasonable priced witch is always a bonus! I used both these colours this time and it came out amazing. This brand dose not make my hair feel damaged like other Brands I have used. This bran also stays in my hair where other brand wash out very fast.

I would highly recommend this brand to my friends or family. This picture does not do justice for how bright and colourful my hair turned out. .

Thos product is really amazing. It was my first time using Vidal products. I just love it. It doesn’t smell of chemicals (ammonia) and leaves my hair soft and with a good scent. I am not gonna go back to my old brand.

I’ve been using this hair color on and off for the past 6 years. What happened to be an accidental hair color situation, turned into the most beautiful hair color. It’s a darker color after the first initial wash that has a nice purple shade in the sunlight.

Even a month in the color is still gorgeous. I call it a low maintenance color because the fade is just as pretty as the initial color. It fades slowly compared to the other brands I’ve tried, and it’s super affordable! The picture attached is a month after coloring 😊💜.

My hair felt healthier after I colored it. Did not run too much during application. Went on easily. Came off skin easily as well. Covered my grays really well, even the stubborn ones. The shampoo and conditioner included in the kit was a generous amount and worked so very well.

I have used many professional hair colors in the past and this one really does stand out with how clear the instructions are, how easy to use it is, and how well it works. I would purchase this going forward I would just choose a little bit lighter shade.

The instructions was so easy to read and understand. The bottle and applicator was really nice and durable. The gloves was very nice and durable where I could rinse them off and reuse for the shampooing.

I like how thick the formula is and it doesn’t run all over the place. It really doesn’t have a smell, it’s just a little but nothing overpowering. I absolutely love the added bonus of the haircolor remover wipe it works amazingly and very useful.

The product made my hair feel like silk and the shampoo and conditioner did too and it smells amazing. It colored my hair really good just have a little resistant grey it didn’t cover but overall it is a amazing product.

IšverstiShow in original languageIt mixes smoothly. It’s a nice thick cream so it doesn’t drip. I received the medium intense red shade. What I got was nice bright red. Developing time for me was 45 mins as I had a good amount of grey.

It covered them really well. You get a sachet of color lock shampoo and conditioner which is super thick, there’s enough to wash/condition twice. It made my hair feel silky soft, easy to manage, without the heavy feel one would get post-coloring.

I’ve been doing dyes for 25 years and never had a problem but now I ended up in the emergency room because my head and face swelled up and I still have eczema flare ups 6 days later. Topchic goldwell say on the internet that they don’t use allergenic products and they are safe but look at the package.

Resorcinol, phenylendamine, ammonia. I am sickened that this is legal to be sold. Also the white hair was not covered. Avoid if you don’t want to end up in the hospital and scratching for more than a week.

Formerly paid $$$$ at a fancy salon in Miami for color – did some research and realized I could use the same product at home. (And I’ve NEVER tried to color my hair before. I was nervous. ) This canister system is actually PERFECT for the DIY colorist.

Can dispensing system is super clean, keeps the color and activator (separate, of course) totally fresh between applications. I love this color, 10N, and have been playing around with others in the palate.

Regarding cost – I did the math and the cost per application (30 ml each color + activator for touchup/roots) came out to be approx. $2 – wow. Less than the inferior drugstore products. Yes, you do need to purchase the pump and cylinder system to dispense it from the canister, and activator bottle, but that’s maybe a 1-time cost of about $20 for your reusable materials.

So instead of paying $80 at the salon to get my roots done, I can do it myself for about $2. Now I color once a month instead of quarterly – SO much better! So go ahead and do your research and take the plunge.

I purchase this product because my hair stylist uses it and I can touch up roots in-between appointments. The “NN” (neutral neutral) shade is very effective on white and grey hairs. Like my hairdresser, I’ll mix in a small portion of NG(neutral gold) to get natural looking highlights.

I have been doing this for years. The can of dye is used with a measuring cup which enables you to get the product out of the can. This is VERY efficient versus opening a bottle or tube because the remaining product does not disintegrate.

My hair is very healthy and grows quickly, which is both a sign of good health as well as a good product that doesn’t damage my scalp! So I often will mix a tiny amount just to cover my hairline which grows in white.

Having curly hair, other parts of my head can grow in longer without the white or grey showing as quickly.

Ein tolles feuerrot, nur leider blutet die Farbe beim Waschen der Haare sehhhr aus, sodass man auch im Regen draußen aufpassen muss, dass diese nicht abfärben, aber das habe ich auch bei anderen Rottönen anderer Marken schon feststellen müssen.
