Including the specific make and model of the fm transmitter, the geographical location, and the desired radio station. In general, however, most fm transmitters will work best with a radio station that is within range and has a strong signal.

The mute button once housed on the volume control and is now on the face of the 3. 0. Mechanical Power On/Off Switch. Mechanical power switch stays on even when you suffer a power outage.
I purchased the unit to possibly replace a small self-powered 800 milliwatt transmitter, which I could pick up around 2 miles away but had to use mono because stereo would be noisy. Not only did this Whole House unit give at least the same range, it did so more powerfully and with a clean stereo signal, and operated reliably for as long as I cared to use it whether a few hours or all day.
Like other basic-level units it is susceptible to grounding hum. I was able to eliminate it using clean power and carefully arranging my cables. It is also susceptible to overload problems so it’s necessary to find a “sweet spot” on incoming levels.
Once I fine-tuned these two calibrations I got clean reliable stereo signal with a range of up to five miles.
This works excellent and we can use it for our entire house and even tune in from separate outbuildings while this is transmitting from the house. The sound quality is good though we have had some static/interference at times, but between broadcast stations and a variety of electronic and wireless devices, I can’t conclude that this device is responsible for the static.
It does what we hoped it would do. We can play music and/or sermons and listen to it when going from room to room. We do not want our children listening to secular music which glorifies the very behavior we are training them to avoid.
Having a quality playlist available helps us with this also.
Didn’t work for me. Needed it to transmit about 20′ through a sheetrock wall to my stereo. While some sound came through it was not crisp and volume was low. I went to a BT transmitter & receiver. Hooked a splitter to a laptop & use 2 transmitters.
One to the stereo & one to a BT speaker on the patio when I want music outside. BT transmitter signal passes through the same sheetrock wall and an outside door through the glass about 30-35 ft away.
BT equipment will run 5-6 hrs on a charge or you can keep them plugged in while using. Same for the speaker.
Plug this Bluetooth FM Transmitter and Charger by Just Wireless into your car’s power outlet and you’ll be able to play your music through any station on your car’s FM radio via Bluetooth connection.
Equipped with a dual USB port so you can charge up to two devices at the same time. Go hands-free to answer an incoming call with a push of a button and talk on your phone through your car stereo speakers as well as answer, end and dismiss calls and easily switch between incoming calls and your music.
Universally compatible with Bluetooth enabled devices such as Apple iPhone, iPad, and iPod, Samsung Galaxy and Android devices with Bluetooth capabilities.
You plug it in and you first connect it to your phone. That compares to connecting other Bluetooth devices. It went without a problem. First you choose a frequency on your radio that’s not in use. Then you “tune” the transmitter to that frequency.
The little knob has a lot of functionality for just one knob. When “connecting” to your radio you use it to change the frequency the transmitter uses. After set up, you turn it right and you go to the next song (or previous song when turning it either left).
You turn right and hold the knob and the volume will go up (or down when turning and holding it left). You push the knob and the song will stop or start playing. When I start my car, the device will automatically connect to my phone.
When plugging in a USB stick with MP3 music, the device starts playing the music. When stopping the car, the device will resume at the last song that was played when starting to drive again. That being said, I’d also like to give the manufacturer some useful feedback: – This version has the display below the knob.
In my car the transmitter is positioned further down and the knob is in the way of the display. – When someone else recorded something for me, the volume of the recording can be pretty low and that’s something I can’t change.
In these cases I’d like to be able to turn the volume of the transmitter up more than I can now. With MP3 songs the volume is good. – It once happened that I was parked, that I had the radio tuned to another station and that I made a call.
I didn’t hear the other side. It took me a while to figure out that my phone was connected to the transmitter, that the transmitter was “sending” the other side’s voice to the radio frequency, but that the radio was tuned to another station/frequency.
In cases like this I’d like to be able to turn the transmitter off. Maybe push and hold the knob to do this? Maybe these suggestions have been addressed in the meanwhile. Compared to a cassette thing that you insert into the cassette player of your radio with a cable that you plug into your phone or iPod, this is a MUCH better solution.
With this device there’s no cable hanging in your car and there’s no hassle of plugging or unplugging cables into your phone either. That’s why I can recommend the device to friends and family. PS: I never write reviews, but this device deserves one! :).
Bought this when my old FM transmitter and aux cord stopped working in my car, and I’m never going back! I love how it’s wireless and connects via Bluetooth, which means I don’t have to have my phone tethered to a cord anymore.
The instructions to turn on the transmitter and skip to the right music station are pretty easy after you read the instructions. One tip I recommend- have the bluetooth on your phone already turned on before you turn on your car.
When I try to connect once the car is on, it doesn’t like to connect so I have to take out the transmitter and put it back in. Otherwise, absolutely no complaints and am very happy with my purchase! Worth it!.
Bought this a couple years ago and had it for about 3 1/2 to 4 years. I accidentally damaged it recently so I decided to buy another one because this one works very good! Set up is easy and after the first time it automatically connects to my phone after I turn my car on.
I only use it for music purposes and I love it. Music sounds very nice and I’ve never had an issue with it. For phone calls you might have to buy a different one as the caller on the other line won’t hear you properly.
It is worth the $30 and the quality is far better than other ones I’ve had.

One of the best purchases I ever made. The unit costs less than $20, yet is stylish and of good quality. Plugs into either a vehicle’s accessory power ports (the ports that looks like it can accommodate a cigarette lighter) or directly to the auxillary power if you have that capability.
The Nulaxy KM18 was easy to install and learn how to use, and gives me the following functionality that I never had in my car: 1) Bluetooth – easily pair any Bluetooth device to play audio through your vehicle’s stereo system 2) Volume Boost – my vehicle’s radio was never loud enough for me, KM Bluetooth transmitter boosts the signal and I now have all the volume I want 3) Hands Free Phone Calls – Calls automatically interrupt audio giving a chance to answer or decline.
Can handle both incoming and outgoing call conversations on a hands free basis The KM18 obviously can play tracks or playlists of any tracks stored on the hard drive of the phone. But, I have been amazed about how often I can snag a wi-fi signal in the car, enabling me to stream audio services such as Spotify.
Possibly the most value I ever got for a purchase that costs less than $20.
Great sound, no noise whatsoever, easy to use, Bluetooth works well. Issues: cannot go to next folder. You just need to next next next many mp3’s to the next folder. Turning on bluetooth, my phone connects to it and I can talk on whatsapp, but when google maps gives me instructions, I don’t hear anything.
If you turn your car off in middle of an mp3 playing, then turn it back on, it will start the mp3 from beginning. This can become annoying if you are listening to a long mp3. Cannot fast forward an mp3.
Only next-previous. Can pause it though. NO USB !!! Only Bluetooth BT, Auxiliary AUX and Micro memory. Charger is good. Though 2 holes would have been better.
Less than $20. 00 and sounds like a factory installed bluetooth unit in my 2004 Lexus. I’ve been using the AUX cord up until now and wanted something to go wireless but still have the same good CD quality audio.
After trying at least 4 other transmitters, i decided to give this last one a shot and man I am so glad I bought it! It sounds just as good as the AUX plug. Crisp, clear audio with no distortion or static.
Pairs in under 5 seconds with my LG phone and never loses connection. Has a USB, SD Card and AUX outlet too. This is great! Saved me from spending hundreds to upgrade my factory stereo to be fitted with Bluetooth.
Presenting the Sangean WR-22 – the evolution of the product that changed the perception of home audio. Its bold, detailed sound remains exceptional for a system of its size. Now, there’s even more to like.
With Bluetooth wireless technology, simply switch to the Bluetooth source and after initial pairing, start listening to your favorite music wirelessly. It’s that simple. Whether you own a smartphone, iPod, tablet or PC, you can enjoy your music without the constraint of extra cables.

Good sound, dual alarms, tone controls, loudness control, variable display intensity, compact. Hard to pull in FM stations much better by purchasing an F-type FM antenna (Less than $10. 00) No back up battery! Should have more than 5 FM slots and fewer AM slots.
Absolutely great. I only use the radio and Bluetooth, and it’s great. The Bluetooth skips a little when I’m doing something on my phone, but my phone is usually lying on the table playing music. No problems with my mp3s or internet radio.
Radio reception is excellent. Sound quality is excellent. It isn’t extremely loud, but the clarity and definition from the little speaker is hard to believe. The RDS works great. I found exactly what I wanted.
Low power, great sound, with all of the bells and whistles.
I bought his for a sound machine on the bed and it does seem to be good quality. However, the built-in software is awkward and seems outdated based on date printed on packaging. For example, it does not remember your settings for mono-stereo, or play mode (repeat, random, etc).
Also, the rear power cable sticks out quite a bit and prevented from using on headboard of bed. Bought a replacement power cord with right angle plug that allows radio to be much closer to wall. It does have pretty good AM/FM reception in San Diego metro area.
I would buy another one, but I recommend you verify the the software/build date is recent (mine was dated 2016).
For years, car radios have offered programmable, pre-set buttons to help the driver keep his eyes on the road while listening to his favorite stations. Now, you can do the same thing with your iPod using this handsome FM transmitter.
Plugging into the cigarette lighter and featuring an extension to bring it easily within your reach, you can play the contents of your iPod or iPod nano directly through an FM radio frequency on the car radio.
Choose from an available frequency ranging between 88. 1 MHz to 107. 9 MHz, and program two of them into the transmitter’s memory. Its backlight LCD display helps you to see the frequency clearly. With this transmitter, you may never use your car radio again.
I bought two of these at the same time for my husband and myself. After about three weeks the connection of one of the transmitters became loose, so every time I hit a bump my IPod would come off. Depending on what part of the city I’m in there is little to no static.
I exchanged the broken one for a new one and have had no problems with that one. My husband’s worked fine all along, so I think it might be a hit or miss item since one other reviewer reported the same kind of problem.
Walmart is really good about exchanging damaged items.
Horrible product, I had used it for maybe ten minutes then all the sudden it cut out and restarted. It took forever to find a station to use and start up then when it finally did it played for a couple minutes then restarted again.
I would not recommend anyone to use this let alone buy it, it is being returned and I am purchasing a different brand and from a different place.
This product was just okay. I have had it for about a week and had a few problems. I am having problems docking my itouch while driving. For some reason the connection is loose and I have to keep adjusting it while driving especially on rough roads.
I do get static feedback but it is minimal. My biggest problem is the poor manufacturing of the product. The tip of the charger that plugs into the power outlet comes off when pulling it out of the outlet.
Designed with advanced modulation system and built-in PLL frequency, audio pre-emphasis, limiter, and low-pass filter circuit, Signstek FM Transmitter stereo transmitter can be used for factories, schools, supermarkets, farms, Office space or create your own radio station.
I am self employed and work from my home. I listen to something all day and instead of wiring the entire house for sound, I purchased a CCrane FM transmitter several years ago to spread the sound. It was difficult finding an available frequency and even then, I would get constant interference – sometimes from stations very far away.
My house is small – 1,000 sf – so it was very frustrating. I put up with it for many years before recently searching again, and finding this transmitter. I LOVE IT!! No interference anywhere in my house, yet it also does not interfere with the nearby local stations.
The 1 watt power setting is plenty, and I also did not extend the antenna. I did not have any problems with hum or feedback. The fan noise is loud and it was amplified by sitting on the wooden entertainment center.
Finally got smart today and set the unit on a small rubber pad, which has greatly reduced the noise. The setup is a little odd, especially the upper and lower frequency. Wondering if I set a range, would it broadcast in that range? In any case, I set the upper and lower to the same frequency and have had no trouble.
I would love to have a place and excuse to crank up the power and really test it out, but that might make the neighbors cranky! Since I paid about $50for the CCrane unit, this seems like a fabulous value to me.
Read other reviews and after testing for several days I can say this is a great bargain. True the bass is a little too amplified, but you can fix that with an external equalizer. DO NOTE that it will Probably come with a TNC connector for the antenna instead of a bnc which is far easier to find adapters for.
That was my only dislike as I had ordered adapters for a bnc connector only to get one with a TNC which is a BNC with threads instead of a bayonet fitting. The transmitter is quite good and if you can get an external antenna mounted away from it, you shouldn’t have hum coming back down the audio lines.
For the money, this is a great buy, don’t expect it to be a perfect FM station without a few little extras. But for home use, on low power it should be fine for local uses in house or a factory or even a school campus.
High power will more than double the range, and with an outdoor antenna made for the frequency of operation, it should cover a mile or two quite easily. And if you are on high ground, it would go for many miles.
NOTE also that its illegal to operate this unit without a license in the USA, or limit its range with the supplied antenna and only use low power indoors to limit it. Otherwise you will likely hear from the FCC for operating a “pirate” station and they will take it from you.
Just like the old days of illegal CB operation. Good luck and Have fun, Also a good backup transmitter for Low Power FM stations, check to make sure its ok first. And one last thing, I’m going to put a different antenna connector on mine.
Shame it’s not Fcc approved. Get five stars if it was. If adjusted sparingly this can put out some truly amazing sound. It’s a force to be reckoned with in sound quality. I prefer the quality of this device over any other FM station.
If you over modulate its gonna have a hum. Get a mixer, adjust the gain on transmitter and dont touch device nomore. One watt is your best bet. If you go seven watts the fan runs all the time and causes distortion.
Pots are kind of cheap so best to control the volume from your mixer. The base will astound. The clarity in vocals will astound you. If you went with an alternative fan and done away with the internal one seven watts may be ok.
Device has a range that will spook you if your FCC concerned. Not sure how far it actually will go. I had it in the basement turned on and went walking down the road for a ways with my headphones on and had no trouble hearing it.
If you have expensive stereo turn it off first then turn the transmitter off. Otherwise you may hear something go through your speakers that dont sound to good. If you want one watt make sure you put the L on the blue screen.
If you want the seven watts make sure you put the H on the blue digital screen. The gain or volume knob does not operate one to seven. Know what I mean? Its cheap man. If you want a radio station its your last stop.
The HR70 is a digital display analog FM transmitter. Apply a signal to the XLR or RCA inputs of the HR70, select what frequency you would like to broadcast those signals on (87. 5 to 108 MHz), and you are now sending signals via FM radio, assuming the antenna is connected properly.
The HR70 also has a talk over circuit built in. Perfect for transmitting church services to a church parking lot!.
Works great. First test I did, plugged into our record player. Then got in my truck and drove down the street and could still hear it. About 8 houses away it started to get more static. Plan on using it for outdoor movie projection.
Pros easy to use perfect audio controls professional inputs Record outs no breaking FCC 15 rules Cons Only one, the antenna has to be taped to a pole (non-metalic) with a wood scrap base for best results Made my own antenna from a magnetic CB antenna base and a 29″ piece of stainless welding rod, I can get like 500′ in my car!!.
Play any music through your car’s radio from your phone, Ipod or MP3 player when Bluetooth or Aux ports are not avaialble. Featuring 20 different transmitting frequencies, you can listen to your music regardless of your location or signal strength.
The TuneTone FM transmitter is designed to work with your car stereo and is compatible with all types of stereos with FM radio receivers. Just plug in the transmitter to your device, set the channel on the TuneTone device, set your stereo FM channel to match the TuneTone and hear your music play through your car stereo.
This transmitter lets you add functionality to your car’s stereo system and gives you the ability to play any music as you please. Requires two AAA batteries (not included). Included On/Off switch helps conserve battery life when not in use.
I bought this after our line in on our car radio broke. After reading reviews, I had high hopes. It is, without a doubt, the best transmitter in terms of sound quality and transmission strength that I’ve used.
Unfortunately, all that is negated by the fact that it’s very unreliable. After a few months of use, it won’t work at all now unless I squeeze the sides of the device. The on/off switch on the right side is also finicky, and won’t stay on unless I manually push it upwards against the plastic case.
Having read the other reviews that the audio chord has a tendency to break, we took good care of it. We made sure not to bend or drop it. The only thing I can think of is that I left it in the glove box on a few cold winter nights.
Even so, it should be able to handle that. I plan to return the device shortly.
The rental truck my wife was driving didn’t have a 3. 5 mm “Aux In” to connect her portable Sirius XM to the dash radio. This wireless transmitter connected right into the Satellite Radio power stand, making it convenient so she could hear music and talk radio across the country without static or drop outs! We love this thing!!.
I purchased this to plug into a laptop headphone jack to amplify Digital over-the-air TV broadcast audio on the FM stereo in our RV. This works well for our needs (a lot better than the lowly laptop speaker), and can be potentially used for other devices equipped with a Stereo 3.
5 mm female (audio out) jack. e. g. MP3 players, etc. I wanted a portable alternative to the cigarette lighter FM transmitters that need to be physically inserted/anchored in a female lighter jack.
The Roav SmartCharge F2 Pro Bluetooth FM transmitter makes streaming music, charging your devices, and taking calls an easy affair. It uses signature PowerIQ 3. 0 technology to allow high-speed charging of cell phones in your car.
One-button calling lets you answer calls and noise-cancellation technology filters out road and wind noise.
Purchased for my 2007 vehicle. Enabled the ability for bluetooth audio instead of relying on an adapter to aux cable. Sounds clear and there is no delays when watching videos. I used a short aux cable to connect to the side on the ROAV aux input.
I also purchased for my other vehicle which is 2004. On that vehicle there is no aux input so I use the FM channel to listen to my music/podcasts/etc. It is better than nothing. The static can get annoying sometimes and there are moments when a radio station will get through your audio.
You have to switch FM station to find an unused channel. Nothing hard but it can be annoying. Nonetheless, I am happy with the purchase. Charging is great too. Supports fast charging (USB-C).
My husband bought me my dream car when I found out I had breast cancer. It was a car I wanted new back in 2003. Needless to say, even luxury cars lacked Bluetooth then. So while I figure out how I’d like to upgrade my stereo, this has been a life saver for pairing with my phone.
I can still listen to my podcasts, etc. The sound quality can be greatly affected by which channel you select during setup. I became familiar with how to change channel frequencies often and it’s not as inconvenient as it seems! But reading instructions helps!.
Purchased for my 99 Silverado. It works well and is easy to set up. Occasionally, it disconnects on button pushes because it shifts around in the cigarette lighter slot. Not sure if it’s the design of the product or the truck lighter.
It’s not a major issue. Music playback is great when you find the right station AND have an adequate antenna. I would definitely recommend this.
Small and handy multimedia machine that can works as an FM transmitter and Bluetooth hands-free. The FM transmitter is equipped with microSD card reader, USB reader, and can be paired with other Bluetooth devices.
Works with iPhone, Android like. Perfect for example to stream Spotify and other music to the car’s audio system. The unit has a built-in microphone for calls and answering button to answer / hang up.
There is also an LCD display which shows set the radio channel to set the stereo on to make the sound of your speakers. Switches itself between music and conversation / talk and music when it rings or when you hang up.

Two built-in USB ports and two cigarette lighter sockets Let you charge up to four devices anywhere the road takes you with. Cup holder design Allows this device to fit snugly in your car’s cup holder.
This unit works pretty good. The CD player in the car stopped working. It’s a 2005 vehicle so no USB input. Locks into an open channel immediately. Plugging a USB stick into one of the slots finds tracks immediately.
If you fill up the USB stick with lots of tracks. it will just play them in succession. you can only scroll ahead or before. That’s not a nail. just saying if you want to listen to something specific.
get smaller USBs and only load what you’re listening to that day. I’ve also noticed the noise floor can vary. you’ll notice it if you’re listening to the USB tracks. but today for instance. was pretty clean.
Haven’t experimented with searching for better open radio channels. It’s also great for listening to YouTube shows. I imagine that’s not a big deal for people with newer cars. Overall, it’s a great unit.
If you’re in my situation – CD player dead – older car. get it. works great. play off your phone or USB.
Got this due to the issue of too many items needing charging and not enough connections. I connected this to the power source inside the console between the front seats and ran the wire up and along the side to the cupholder behind the console for the back seats.
Then I placed a “gap” storage bin in between the passenger seat and the console that had 2 USB ports and 3 USB retractable charging cables using the power port on this to power them. So off of one power port, I now had 7 charging stations (6 usable) and can charge all 6 at once as long as I don’t hook in the laptop to charge (blows the fuse) at the same time.
And the transmitter comes in handy as I can listen to my music on the main radio, but the backseat passengers can transmit their music to the radio connection for the back seat and listen to their music over blue tooth head phones.
So it is extremely useful and gives you some flexibility instead of cluttering things up.
Really good, clear sound without the whine from the RPMs of the car engine that other Bluetooth/FM transmitters allow. Automatic pairing works every time. The only Cons are that the blue LEDs are hyper intense, very blinding in the dark, and they distract me while driving.
I wish they were plain ol’ red, or maybe amber or green.

I have an older MP3 player with all my favorites on it which never worked very well in my previous cars. Since I got a new car this year with a really good sound system, I decided to try this transmitter in it.
I was blown away with the quality and volume I now have with this decice and my old MP3 player.
I have been looking for a FM transmitter for a while since my old one doesn’t work with my iPhone5. I don’t have many songs on my phone but thought I would give this a try since it was on sale. I am in love with this little device.
It plays music from my iPhone using the cord they provide (plugs into headphone jack) OR if you have a USB or SD Card, just put the music on that. I have a 32GB USB that had all kinds of stuff on it – this device finds ALL the songs and plays them.
You can play by random, folders, singles and it includes a remote so you can change the songs HANDS FREE. I would assume the SD Card would do the same. It’s an AWESOME little device and SO GLAD I found it.
My only CON is once in a while the reception will be staticy, but with the remote you can change the channel to anything you want easily. When I was charging my iPhone while it was plugged in, I could hear noise when I accelerated.
but not sure if this normal? But with this device I will be using USB all the time, which there is no noise. You won’t be disappointed.
With the Monster Bluetooth FM Transmitter with 3. 4 Amp USB Charging Ports, you’ll be able to effortlessly stream audio to your car’s FM stereo. Linked directed to your Bluetooth device, you can transmit music from your phone, tablet, or laptop with ease.
The Bass Boost enhances your audio for high-quality playback from any device. You’ll also be able to connect to Google Assistant or Siri for voice-control activation on all your files. The Built-In Microphone has echo-reduction for the ideal hands-free call.
Two 3. 4 Amp USB ports allow you to charge 2 devices simultaneously with no connectivity issues or power transmissions problems. The transmitter also reads audio from Micro SD and USB files for optimal playback quality.
For the ideal way to hear your favorite songs, make hands-free calls, or even charge 2 compatible devices, turn to the Bluetooth FM Transmitter With 3. 4 Amp USB Charging Ports.
Installed Monster’s Bluetooth FM Transmitter with 3. 4 Amp USB Charging on an older truck we use occasionally for towing, hauling, etc. Never having used a transmitter I was very impressed how simple this device was to install and use.
The sound is very clear, plus, the transmitter has good range so it is easy to find channels. The device has a number of really useful features beyond the FM transmitter. The features I use most are playing music from the phone, hands free calls, and also important being able to charge phones.
I also liked that this device is small and lightweight and not a bulky, heavy object on the dash. The controls work smoothly and are easy to operate. This works so well and is priced amazingly it is definitely worth a try instead of going without or investing money into an upgraded stereo especially on an older vehicle.
Its took more time to set it up but the results are just. ok. It doesn’t really utilize all of the stereo’s sound system so it sounds pretty low. To hear anything you have to have both the stereo, bluetooth transmitter and your phone (or whatever you are using) to the max and the sound is just medium decible.
Having the windows down is even worse as the sound is barely noticable. I had to go through several channels to find one that actually would work with the transmitter. Its also can only work in certain ports because its size can hinder where it fits in.
Also the size of the plug feels a bit bigger than my cigarette port so i had to really force it in. And even then it was hit or miss of it actually working. It was a good idea but the execution is lacking.
This mini car FM transmitter, a plug and play device setting tons of functions in one has 4 modes for music playing via bluetooth, TF card, USB flash disk or 3. 5mm audio cable along with volume control, backward/forward, and play/pause control.
It helps you relax or removes boring car interior atmosphere with continuously music playing for you on-the-go lifestyle. Phone along with Bluetooth connection realizes hands-free functions that allow answer/end/reject/redial calls.
I mainly bought this device for playing music as I was previously using an AUX cable but found them to be getting damaged and the lead causing a bit of a nuisence. I went through a new lead every 6 months so I decided to go bluetooth! It’s worth noting that if your car already has bluetooth calling and media playing capabilities, you don’t need this device.
My car only has bluetooth calling, not media. The device feels well made and looks pleasing. It’s very easy to use and doesn’t have too many features. Just 4 buttons and a dial. Nice and simple. It has blue LED lights surrounding the dial and acting as a backlight for the screen.
This looks cool but on a night time it can be a bit obnoxious and a strain on the eyes so I tend to swivel mine away from sight but if your 12V socket is up on the dash this might be an issue. Mine is down near my handbrake so it’s fine.
Also the text on the screen is a little bit faded in the centre, but I don’t really use the screen for anything. Also, it displays the number when someone calls but not the name and who recognises telephone numbers these days? Bit of a gripe but not a huge problem considering its other useful features.
When you start your engine, the device turns on and the display briefly shows your car battery’s voltage, which isa really neat feature. It has 2 USB ports on the side, one for charging devices upto 2.
1A and one for inputting USB data (music files from a flashdrive for example). I’m not sure if this second port also acts as a charger as I haven’t tried it. Theres also an SD card slot. The idea behind these slots is so you can put a load of MP3 songs/albums onto an SD card/USB stick and play them all through this device.
There’s also a built-in microphone for when you’re answering calls. You can connect your phone/tablet etc. to the device via bluetooth. The device then transmits the audio via radiowaves to whatever frequency you choose.
You then simply tune your car’s FM radio to the same frequency. Scan the radio beforehand to find a suitable, empty frequency where no other radio can be heard. You should only hear static. You can then use the device to play music or answer phone calls.
The sound quality is obviously not CD/MP3 quality as it’s being transmitted via radio but it’s just as good as any standard FM radio station. If you play music through apps such as Spotify, you can skip tracks using the buttons on the Bluetooth Transmitter so you don’t need to touch your phone.
Theres also an option to connect your device using the aux cable which they include in the box (useful if yourphone/tablet etc. doesn’t have bluetooth). I would definetly recommend this product. I actually bought one because a friend had one and he was impressed by it.
I gave it 4 out of 5 based on 2 cons; the slightly faded screen, and the blue glare when it’s dark out. These are purely subjective cons and might not bother other people. It’s still worth the purchase.
I didnt have high hopes for this fm transmitter as I have bought many in the past that havent worked well and have a lot of background white noise on them making it annoying to enjoy songs. However this transmitter is amazing, no background noise, no problems, no annoyance and very easy to set up and use! I highly recommend this product and my friends have bought it too seeing how well t worked in my car! Great value for money!.
I have been using a FM transmitter for music in my car. This comes especially handy, when you are doing long drives. This wee kit comes with a Charging port that allows you to charge your phone (especially when you are using battery-draining Sat-nav programs) while listening to your music.
No issues with the kit, would recommend it to anyone who is keen to get a similar setup in their car. Price is right and it does what it claims to do with absolutely no fuss. Real Gem of a kit!!!.
Provide power for your devices while on the road with this Roav SmartCharge car kit. Bluetooth 4. 2 lets you stream music from your phone or make hands-free calls, and the battery monitor delivers real-time status reports via the compatible app.
Find your vehicle quickly with the locator feature of this Roav SmartCharge car kit.
I have an older version of this that has worked perfectly for a few years for me. As of late, the older version was dying by not being able to get power unless I shimmied/turned it to get power. Bought this newer version thinking it would be as efficient as the last version, but it failed to meet all expectations.
From the first time I connected to bluetooth, the channel I connected to would still have white noise when the old product would connect to the channel and cut out all sound/frequencies. When I tried to connect to a different channel, and it wouldn’t catch the frequency and my radio would skip over the desired frequency.
I figured I would just try the channel I had saved from the previous version of this product and see if it “warmed up” but it would lose the signal slightly and other frequencies would encroach on what I was listening to.
With all said, the charging was great. I didn’t get to test it with a call but with all the problems I was having, it probably wasn’t going to be productive anyways. I just want this to work because I like Anker products, but it doesn’t live to expectations.
This thing is great. It always connects like a champ automatically. It really works well to overpower any signals nearby the station you are using and comes in clean and clear. When you are traveling and a station is right on the chosen station you can easily adjust your broadcast signal.
The best bonus about it is that one of the usb ports can take a thumb drive full of music and play it. It only plays them in order though, so I wrote a script that randomly assigned a name to the track so I had a sudo-random radio station on a 128gb thumb.
It also takes phone calls and the mic on it is pretty decent. Unfortunately it does not seem to broadcast the incoming signal very loud so you have to turn your radio up to hear them and it can be jarring when the call ends and music comes back on.
But that is the only drawback I have found. I have used this for almost a couple years now and it continues to work great.
This device is useful only if you don’t mind background hissing noise and if you’re driving around town, using the same radio stations. I bought it for a 10-hr road trip. One hour into the trip, the station I had originally tuned to no longer worked.
I couldn’t fuss with it because I was driving and it was plugged into the only available power source on my dash, which is under the dash on the passenger side. It would have been a safety hazard to try and re-tune.
I’m fairly certain I would have been better off putting a little bluetooth speaker on the front seat instead of trying to play through my car radio. In terms of customer service, I missed the return window by 4 days and Best Buy kept me hanging on live chat for 10 minutes to eventually tell me that they couldn’t extend the return period for this, even though the 3-month extended holiday return period had started just 7 days after I bought my item.

It works perfectly and sounds clear. I wasn’t sure at first if this would sound good and at first it didn’t. You need to make sure you choose a station that isn’t being used. At first I had 88. 3 but there was interference so it sounded terrible.
After I used 88. 1 and it works perfectly. The voice quality is ok as other adapters. The adapter uses Bluetooth 5. 0 for those curious. Some tips: Press and hold the phone button until the screen flashes to change the radio station.
Change to a station that isn’t being used. Sound too low? increase the volume by pressing up or down on the stick. The volume maxes out at 30. Also make sure you increase your phones bluetooth volume.
There’s 2 buttons on the top, a bass boost button on the left and a power off button on the right. If the sound seems muffled bass boost might be turned on so press and hold it to turn it off. To turn off the adapter press and hold the power button.
It just turns off the radio function though, it will still charge your devices so keep that in mind.
Pros: 2 ways to charge USB C to C or USB USB to C charger charges quickly Lights up when plugged in so easy to tell if it’s charging Cons: Can be a little difficult to plug into the port I like this car charger.
The charger lights up when it is plugged into a charger port in your car so you know that is working, no guesswork as to whether it is seated correctly or not. I did not use the Bluetooth function since I have Bluetooth in my car already, but I definitely needed a reliable charger and this one works great.
There are two ports for charging; a regular USB and a type C. Both work well and the type C charges my phone ultra fast. My only minor complaint is that when you plug the charger into the car port, you have to press the sides in otherwise you can’t get it to plug in.
I absolutely love my new Monster Bluetooth FM Transmitter and Car Charger. Not only does it charge my phone really fast but I can insert a memory card or connect my phone bluetooth and play my own music.
It’s a really nice feature. I don’t use Siri or Google Assistant but this transmitter supports them. There is even a bass boost button! I like how I can just plug in and go. Very easy to use and convenient at the same time.
Been using it for a month now and I only have good things to say. I would definitely recommend, this is a great product.

Reviews From Real Customers
Let me say first that I didn’t use the bluetooth. Pros: -Good design that allows you to tuck it away to one side. -Keeps track of *which track* you were in when it got turned off (see cons as well) Cons: -Bad instructions – you need to struggle with it some to figure out how to switch inputs (I couldn’t, but it did what I needed), -The track-memory feature only knows which track it was on when shut off, so it starts from the beginning of the track, so for long tracks (audiobooks sometimes have 20min+ long tracks), it can be annoying.
If you want to know more: Long trip I planned, old car, flip phone (no bluetooth), CD player broke last minute (and no stores had a good replacement), several audio books on CD. This was the cheap fix and it worked.
Wrong instructions! The center button turns the unit on or off and does not switch from inputs (USB, microSD) as it was supposed to do. The input is selected automatically (it seems). I ripped the CDs to mp3 and onto a thumbdrive.
Stuck the thumbdrive into it and it seemed to automatically switch and start playing. It was important to keep each book in a folder, and alphabetically named so the blacketron could play them in the order I needed.
It worked flawlessly! The only thing is that I had either listen to a track to the end when I stopped, or risk having to listen to it from the beginning again.
My husband’s car is older and doesn’t have Bluetooth. He had an older adapter but it was stolen so we tried this particular one and it was simple to us. He loves the fact that it is just one piece and no cords.
You can also charge two phones at the same time. Simple to use.
This is the third bluetooth FM transmitter I bought since getting my ’04 SUV back running (rebuilt transmission). With the other two, more expensive, models I could not find a station that didn’t come with some static/interference.
I was skeptical of this lesser-priced unit from a brand I’ve never heard of. I couldn’t be happier. I finally have clear sound again. I recommend.

Bought this for a 2005 Suburban I purchased. Best buy charged 30$. Could not hear the vocals on most hard rock/metal tracks. Bass was inconsistent song to song. Did not stay charged for very long. Tape player ejected it every 2 min.
Bought the leading Wal-Mart brand with a headphone cord for 5$ and it was like listening to a whole new stereo. The one good thing was that I didn’t experience any connectivity issues. But for 30$ this adapter simply isn’t worth it.
Spend the 5$ and finish riding out the wave of cassette-equipped vehicles without getting ripped off.
This is a good sturdy & reliable product. Works exactly as advertised. Perfect for those without CarPlay. The only issues I have, might only be associated with my old car. 1. I can’t turn it off, and I have to unplug it every time.
I have an old car though and I’m concerned for my cars battery lol. 2. Whenever I accelerate, I hear a monotone whining sound. I’m guessing it’s picking up my cars electronics. Overall, this is a 5 star product, as I think the only problems I have with this, are associated with my old broken car.
I’m sure there are more expensive ones out there, but this product works great and does exactly what it’s supposed to.
For the price it isn’t that bad. Can hear some static in the background, even when you are using the recommended radio station for the area. But overall, it does what it should and the charging ports are a nice bonus to have on it.
*Remember to google the strongest free station singles for your area to get the most out of it!.
