20 Best Prop For 25Hp Yamaha 4 Stroke (2023 Updated)

I am a slalom skier and was having a little bit of trouble getting up behind my boat on one ski. I have the horsepower, but I was thinking maybe a different prop would help. I have a 19. 6 foot Crownline with a 4.

3 lx Mercruiser and an alpha one outdrive. Some of my friends have Mastercraft boats with v 8 engines. One of those boats is an x2 and the other is a Prostar 205. They both pull me up like nothing. When I put this prop on my boat, it made such a difference that it was almost like being behind one of those two boats.

I lost maybe 5 miles per hour on top end, but I don’t care because I only ski at 34mph. The prop I had was a 3blade 21 pitch. The boat would do around 49, now it does around 45. I usually don’t write reviews to brag about a product, but I was going to buy a different boat ,but I thought I would try this first.

For a couple hundred dollars, it is so worth the money. It’s like I have a different boat. The boat also holds the speed in the corners like it never has before!!! Try this prop and you won’t be disappointed.

I changed it out in less than 10 minutes.

1996 SeaPro 18 CenterConsole with original 1996 Mercury90 2 stroke. Original 3 blade 13×19. With old prop, hole shots were awful & pretty much had to be 80% or above of WOT to keep plane. NOT ANYMORE!!! This Nemesis 4 blade 3×17 is amazing!! Immediate hole shot, & can keep plane @ 3200 rpm & SMOOTH.

I replaced my 3 blade 13-5/8 x 13 with the nemesis 13-3/4 x 13 on a 24 ft express tube Tritoon with a Yamaha f115. I now have no cavitation and over 3. 6 miles per gallon at 23mph at 5000rpm. Awesome prop IMO.

When I bought my boat with a 200HP Yamaha, I needed more pop to get on plane (lots of scuba gear) so I bought an aluminum 4 blade and all was good until that day I spun the hub. For the cheap price of an aluminum prop it wasn’t worth replacing the hub, and I didn’t want to be idling home again, so I started looking around and found this Solas SS prop with a replaceable hub (Rubex 203) so if I spin it again I only need to replace the hub, not the prop.

The 14. 5 diameter with 15 degree pitch gets/keeps my loaded boat (2120 Parker SC) on plane at 14 knots with proper trim and tab, even in choppy SoCal conditions. Big difference from the original 3 blade.

Top speed isn’t my goal, just a safe, fast as comfortable speed there and back. Also noticed the lack of “hum” (cavitation?) at high RPMs compared to the 4 blade aluminum prop.

I used the prop selector which led me to this prop. It was a perfect choice. The 15 pitch was just what I wanted. It totally changed how my boat performs. I’m able to get the engine in the rpm range where it is most happy and the fuel economy has improved.

It’s just what my big old 27’ Bayliner Rendezvous needed.

I received the prop within a week. The marina forgot the hub kit. I informed them on a Saturday and the they promptly shipped it to me in less than a week. Prop was easy to install and performed great.

Better shot out of the hole. I’m not sure if i’m getting better mpg than my 3-blade prop. I highly recommend the upgrade.

I bought this prop not really know how it would actually perform. I have a mericruiser 3. 0 alpha one set up. I couldn’t figure out what I had on before. No numbers to go buy on the prop. I took the boat out and it hit the holeshot perfectly I planned the boat amazingly quick and to boot I have a top speed of 45.

Which is very good. I use my boat for all around kind of thing. Fishing as well as playing. For a all around prop I would recommend it for this type of set up. While towing a skier I have to watch my speedo quicker cause it scoots.

I bought this prop system primarily for the plastic hub system. I boat year round on the California Delta and there is a lot of crap in the water and some shallow areas. I seem to mess up a prop almost once a year.

I like the plastic hub because it acts like a shock absorber for the outdrive. So far so good. The plastic hub with aluminum props and my outdrive is in perfect shape. It also lowers the cost of replacement props a little bit.

My only real beef is I feel the replacement props without the hub should be a bit cheaper.

Haven’t used the item yet. Ordered the prop on the website. Description didn’t say hub not included but they shipped me a prop with no hub. Talked to a guy the first business day after I received the prop and he told me that they just updated their Web page and that when I purchased the prop it did say hub not included.

He told me that he would be glad to help me purchase the hub that I needed for $30. 00. The prop on their website, with the hub, the new one that miraculously changed, is exactly the same price as the one I purchased without the hub”.

It was easy to install, performs better than the one that I replaced. We fish yearly in Canada and rock damage to props is inevitable. Replacing the prop and reusing the rubex hub is far less expensive than replacing the entire prop unit or repairing the prop.

The prop has not slipped on the hub during use but I expect there would be some give on a solid rock hit protecting the lower unit. I will purchase another if needed.

ordered (2) Solas props with (2) hub inserts – only (1) insert was shipped (drop ship from mnfctr). have called repeatedly, been promised a reply more times than I can recall and all I hear is crickets.

Put this on my 20 year old motorguide foot control trolling motor. had to use the small pin due to hole in shaft size which made the prop touch the housing of motor which caused noise and vibration. The bigger pin would have held the prop just far enough away so the two woulf not have touched.

To overcome this I put a small piece of small diameter fuel line for 2 Cycle weed trimmer first on one end, then inserted pin into hole on shaft and then a piece on the other end which made the pin larger in diameter so when the pin seated into the slot on the underneath side of prop it held the prop just far enough away from the motor housing that the prop and motor housing no longer touched and now runs smooth and quiet.

I hope this helps anyone who has experienced this problem. Prop is nice solidly made and pretty weedless too.

The adapter that is required to mount this prop on your outdrive is NOT included. The brass adapter is shown in the picture and title implies it is included. You need to spend another $50 to get the plastic hub, thrust washer, brass adapter and prop nut for this.

If you are only replacing the identical prop, you may have what you need, but I switched from a Solas prop and only my thrust washer and prop nut could be reused. Off to the boat shop and another $50 spent, and now my prop is mounted.

Prop was priced fairly, but not great once you spend the additional money for the items that are not included. One star only for the fact that I was misled by the picture and title. Prop itself works just like it should.

I broke my prop and called around to find a replacement. After several calls I found a place that had them but no instructions on how to install, so I did not do it correctly and thought it did not fit.

I stopped by West Marine, and not only did they have the right prop in stock, they explained how to install and sold me some additional parts that I would need to do the job properly also with instructions.

It worked the first time and it was easy to do myself. I’m going to get another prop now so I have one the next time in case I hit something else I couldn’t see.

This product is absolutely great for the novist boater! It is inexpensive and absolutely easy to install!! If you are a beginner boater and tend to hit those sand bars and rocky beds a lot, then I recommend you buy one or two of these props and keep em on the shelf; I’ve gone through two props in a year just learning the water banks, rocky beds, and sand bars in my new environment; I’ve save myself tons of money in service and mechanic fees because this product was easy to install at the user level!.

Do your research. Essential to finding the right part. Once I did, I bought this prop and the install hardware kit. BTW, Quicksilver is a recommended Mercury source. The prop and the install kit made this easy.

This prop was a perfect fit for my boat. It you have a torque wrench, or can borrow one, literally anyone can change their prop.

I had a three blade prop on my boat and struggled to get skiers out of the water and on plane. I tried a hydrofoil on my outdrive, with limited results. The hydrofoil DID make the boat come out of the water, but the speed sacrifice, greater fuel consumption, and worst of all, the listing over was a real problem.

After an early spring trip to the lake and lots of driftwood in the water, I was on the lookout to purchase a new prop. Since I bought the boat used, I didn’t want to assume the the correct prop was installed and started reading around the internet and props and uses.

I quickly found that the hydrofoils are a bandaid fix and what is really needed is the correct prop. I called the guys at Turning Point and used their online prop wizard. They recommended the 4 blade for my typical heavy loads and wakeboarding.

The very first trip out I knew that this was the right move! The boat just “screws” right up out of the water and I can pull even the largest adults up without an issue! The best part is using 2/3 the fuel I used to and no more unsafe listing over! I was warned of loosing a few MPH on the top end.

However, my boat GAINED a few MPH over the hydrofoil. This was the best purchase for my boat so far!.

Hey guys, this review is for this propeller on my mariah 2000 5. 0efi 202z. I just wanted to pass along some knowledge about my prop choice. After reading a lot of reviews I decided to do some experimentation.

The original blade was a 21p 14. 25 inch prop, and I always found that my RPMs were much higher and slipping especially off the line. Also at Wot RPMs would be over 5500 RPMs and if I trimmed up higher they would even go higher.

I could not have imagined better results. My TopSpeed before was 51 miles an hour, it is now 55 and the RPMs at that speed are exactly 4600 to 4700. Also off the line it does not power rise as much when pulling Skiers.

I’m going to see how next season does and I may not even put in trim tabs as I was planning on doing because of the high about rise that I was experiencing with the old prop. So in closing I just wanted to say that I am very impressed with the quality of this prop and feel that it is a good investment and has shown excellent results.

I needed a spare prop and am always looking for better performance. The 4 blade digs hard at low speed. The bow lifts but seems to stay lifted and you have to trim down to get the boat on plane. It seemed that I need to fiddle with the trim to get optimum performance.

The prop is very noisy. I running on a 2011 300 evinrude. I lost top end with it. It got so noisy you were almost reluctant to push it beyond 4500 rpm. My comparison is a turning point 4 blade 17 pitch to an evinrude 3 blade 17 pitch.

I like the 3 blade better. Smoother, Quieter more forgiving on trim position I think I get slightly better mileage with the 3 blade.

My 2004 Sea Hunt 186cc originally came with a 13. 25 x 19 pitch 3-blade prop on its 115hp Yamaha outboard. The holeshot and time to get on plane was awful, not to mention the below-average top speed at 5k rpms.

Once I installed Turning Point’s 4-blade 13. 5 x 15 pitch prop, I noticed an immediate difference! My boat jumps up and stays on plane much quicker than before! So far, I have gotten up to around 31 kts at 6k rpms with a bit more throttle left to go (waiting on a calmer day to test).

Overall, this is the best upgrade I have installed on my center console to date! Highly recommend.

Very easy to install on my 2000 Bayliner Capri 1950 CL with mercruiser 3. 0L Sterndrive. Just make sure to replace the trim tab and purchase the MasterGuard Hub System. It has a high rake which will touch the original triangle trim tab, unless you are willing to file it down.

Haven’t tried it out in the water yet but looks solid and thicker than my aluminum 3 blade Propeller that was a 14. 5 dia. X 21P, went with this 14 dia. X 19P which was recommended by the TP wizard online.

I installed this prop (19Px14″) on my 2009 Bayliner 185BR with 3. 0L Mercruiser. I have to say, after maiden run with new prop, I am thoroughly impressed. My old prop was a Michigan Wheel 3 blade, but I was looking for more performance for pulling tubers and water skiers.

Reading the reviews of this prop I decided to give a try. This prop accomplished everything I was looking for. The boat planed much quicker and turning was much more responsive. I didn’t notice any real sacrifice at top end speed.

I hit 37MPH on moderately choppy water. I dropped down 2 pitch from my 3 blade prop and the WOT stayed at about 4700-4800RPM. I also noticed that boat will stay on plane at much lower RPM which will equate to better fuel economy at cruising speed (if you care??) For water skiing, it pulled me out of the water much quicker (I weigh 225lbs) which is exactly what I was looking for.

The old 3 blade could get me out of water, but it struggled a lot putting more stress on skier to get themselves out of water. One thing to note, is that if you have the standard trim anode (triangle type), you will need to upgrade it to a high rake version anode (822777Q1).

The rake of the 4 blade prop is more aggressive and makes contact with the trim tab even if its the same diameter as the old 3 blade prop. So be prepared to other grind down old trim anode or purchase new one at the same time you buy the prop!!.

I fish shallow and in the weds a lot. This prop works great in the weeds/grass/lily pads. It seems to be quieter than the standard black prop. I use a very fine file and sandpaper to remove the small nicks that it gets from the rocks.

So even though it cost a little more I think I get longer use and better performance over time. Highly recommend this Gray/Glass prop when you need to replace the original.

The plastic molded around the brass tightening nut cracked when I tightened it up. I will keep an eye on it but I expect it will fail in the most inopportune time.

Increased battery life. I have to charge every two days vs every day and a half.

I hit some submerged debris with my stainless steel prop, out drive and entire boat was vibrating at low RPM’s, was hoping that it was not the prop shaft, after testing, prop shaft was good, stainless prop was knocked out of balance, cost of sending it off to be refurbished was pretty high, so I starter looking at costs of new props that were of different material so If I were to hit submerged debris again, I would not ruin my prop shaft.

At first I second guessed myself on whether or not to purchase this propeller, I thought to myself that something under $100. 00 was going to be cheaply made, or of poor quality. After a lot of thought I said it’s under a $100 so it’s not like I’m spending an arm and a leg, so I ordered it, it shipped very quickly, and of course easy install and perfect fit.

Quality of the prop looked good, seemed well balanced, boat was on the water the very same day it was installed and I could not be happier, super smooth, even smoother than my stainless, great on low end, great for cruising and towing our tubes, much smoother in shifting gears, nothing has changed as far as boat performance and handling, I would definitely recommend this propeller, it is 4 blade 19 pitch, great prop.

Exactly what i was looking for, and priced right. I needed a new prop for my johnson 60hp as the old one was beat up and bent. Fit was perfect and install only took 10 minutes. The website was easy to use, and helpful with choosing the correct prop.

Good value for an aluminum prop. I bought it for use on a 15hp Evinrude kicker, needed more thrust at lower RPM to push a big heavy boat; definitely does the job!

I was very much looking forward to this aluminum, weedless prop, but wow is it noisy. It does go through the weeds much more efficiently than the plastic, I will say that. And I don’t know if this was just me wanting to perceive this, but it did seem like I was going just slightly faster.

After one fishing trip though, I put the original plastic one right back on. I guess if you’re not fishing it would be optimal, but not if you’re using this for fishing – it scares all the fish away.

Obviously I’m bummed because for this price, I could have purchased two replacement plastic props! Anyone want to buy this one? Only used it once :-).

This condenser motor fan blade is good quality and works excellent it pulls the right amount of air through my clients condenser coils and her Goodman ac unit is running less here in Phoenix at 111 degrees now than it was in the 90’s her electric bill was 103.

00 less in June’s billing than May’s billing so absolutely would buy again I have purchased lots of parts from supply house and have never had any trouble at all with quality and the parts are on my door step fast,.

Not an expert in HVAC. Replaced my OEM blade with this one when it failed and lost balance. It came in already balanced with an upgraded hub. It has been a couple of weeks and running good so far. Price is much cheaper than the OEM.
