20 Best Products For Sensitive Skin With Acne (2023 Updated)

These are not the acne pads you used in high school! My sister recommended them, and I thought she was crazy. But I finally gave in, and what do you know, my skin cleared up in a week. The Sensitive Skin Stridex is hard to find, but is so much better than the red, maximum strength version.

Walmart is the only place I have been able to find it. You can use this daily without your skin over drying. After mine cleared, I was able to switch to every other day and maintain smooth, clear skin.

Okay, let me start by saying I rarely ever write reviews, cause who has time? With that being said. I NEED to write a review for this. I started struggling with acne after I had my daughter 5 years ago.

It started with the occasional pimple here and there, but in 2019 and most of 2020 so far, my face has been in PAIN! thanks to all the acne and cystic acne I was experiencing. I tried expensive washes like Kate Somerville and olehenriksen which you can find at Sephora for about 65 dollars or 40 dollars each.

They didn’t work, so I continued to try every wash I could get my hands on and that I was told would clear my acne. I even went to a dermatologist, it didn’t help. One day I happened to mention it to my co-worker because I was having a bad acne day, as I’m sure you’re all familiar with.

The ones that you can still see no matter how much makeup was on, and truthfully speaking the makeup looked horrible over those breakouts. Anyways, he mentioned when he was a teen he struggled with acne and used this wash.

I thought, no way! So I didn’t buy it. Til quarantine (2 months later) and I said hey whatever let’s try it, if it makes it worse at least I’m home. Well, I’ve been using it 3 weeks and my acne is GONE.

What’s left are some scars I’m hoping will diminish within time. I do have 2 active pimples right now, but they are very very small. Can’t even see them!!! Before this wash my pimples would be visible a mile away, One of them is even already drying out on the second day thanks to this wash.

All I have to tell you is, try it. It changed my life, I finally feel pretty again. It’s been a while since I’ve felt this confident. So to the people who made this product, I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I have been using this wash for both my face and body for a little over a year now. I don’t generally have breakouts, but when I do I end up with blemishes everywhere from my face to my chest and back.

You definitely have to be aware of how it will react with your skin, because my face is slightly more on the sensitive side and I’ve noticed if I leave it on for a few minutes too long it will start to burn and leave my face red for some time afterwards.

So bottom line, if you use as directed and use it how it feels right on your skin it will become your best friend! I have a hard time finding cleansers because I don’t feel that they usually work as well as I want them to, but this one definitely does!.

I have been using this product for almost a month and I can start to see improvements in my breakouts. I usually use it once a day because it can irritate your skin. I use it more like a spot treatment and only put it on the places that I have breakouts.

I let it sit and then rub it all over my face before rinsing. You have to follow up with a really good moisturizer. I also use it on my body for any breakouts.

tl;dr: These dots do help heal and reduce pimples, are sticky enough to stay on overnight, and don’t dry out your skin so you can use them two nights in a row. I bought these a couple months ago finally in desperation to deal with the increase in my acne thanks to wearing a mask all day and I am impressed.

I had never tried a patch-type acne treatment before, being leery of making things worse by drying out my skin or reacting to the adhesive, but I couldn’t take it anymore. I have hormonal acne along my jawline and chin (usually whiteheads and occasionally a very nasty, deep, cystic pimple) and basically always have a few pimples coming in or healing (I’m a chronic skin picker, so it’s always worse than it has to be).

These dots were great to put on overnight on incoming pimples to reduce them and to stop me from popping them too early and hurting myself (iykyk). In the morning the big ones weren’t always completely gone, but they were noticeably improved! The dots also have a rock-solid adhesive: I’m a side sleeper and roll around all night, and I didn’t have a single one come off, ever.

They do leave a sticky residue when you take the dot off in the morning, but it washes off just fine with cleanser. The dots were also gentle enough that a couple mornings, when I took the patch off and saw it had drawn all the goo to the surface in a whitehead, I put another one on top to keep me from popping it and wore it through the day under my mask and on zoom for work (pretty subtle).

Later that day when I took the second patch off my skin wasn’t dried out or otherwise unhappy from having the patch on for basically 18 hours straight (I do not have sensitive skin though, so maybe be cautious if you do).

I definitely hate the price ratio for these because of how much I love using them. Pros: they work for ready-to-go acne in a matter of 2-6 hours, they’re very close to the skin color, they have a good texture on the outside.

Cons: If you have a painful and deep pimple, they will not work on it. You’ll have to wait for time before they could work, and they can be painful to take off depending on the area of your skin, how sensitive it is, and how dry it is.

I recommend using them after washing your face and before moisturizer, but I’ve noticed they still work if I put one on sometime random during the day without washing. Since I have dry skin, I’ll wash my skin, use a moisturizing toner, then pop one on and finish the rest of my skincare around them.

You can use multiple at a time and they usually will work in around 4 hours, if it’s not showing anything by 6 it’s not going to help anything so definitely take it off and try again when the acne has a head showing.

Would recommend keeping a pack around for time-sensitive scenarios, but probably shouldn’t be an every-day usage if you aren’t well-off financially, and I’m sorry to say, but it won’t help any cystic or painful hormonal acne.

A dermatologist is necessary for that. Also, it works for pretty much any acne on any spot. I recently got my cartilage pierced with a double helix and it had a bump on it and (for scientific purposes) I put one on it overnight.

Bad idea and don’t recommend for safety purposes, but it actually got stuff out, made the bump smaller, didn’t cause any scabbing or bleeding, and the bump healed back on its own with only a little bit of skin to peel later.

They definitely work.

I stopped buying acne patches like these because they never seemed to work for me or it took too long to see results. So it felt like a waste of money. But I heard a friend keep raving about these, saying her pimples would vanish overnight when she used these.

I honestly didn’t believe her, so I was curious to try and see for myself. They’re a good size; I applied the first one to a big, angry, red pimple I had just popped with pus coming out. Although they’re not transparent (they have a yellow tint to them), I wore it during the day to keep myself from picking at the spot further.

Not really expecting much, I went about my day and forgot it was even on until I looked at the mirror later that night. To my surprise, there was a huge glob of gunk on the patch once I took it off. It was gross, but oddly satisfying to see.

I was skeptical for a long time trying proactive. I’m in my late 20s and have had acne all my life. I thought I’d eventually grow out of it but it never happened. Because of the mask mandate I began not to only notice more acne but I’d get those large red bumps under the skin that were extremely painful.

I have been using proactive for three weeks and I have not had one single white or black head. I first started to use this twice a day as the package suggested but my skin wasn’t taking to it too well and began to itch all throughout the day.

I lowered using this to once a day (night-time) and my skin has felt fine since. I’m going to continue using this product since this is the first time since the age of 12 that I have not had a single pimple.

Even though I am using this once a day and not twice u am very happy with the results.

I tried this because I was running out of hope. I have extremely oily and acne prone skin and NOTHING worked. I tried it all. You absolutely 100% need to allow about 1-2 months for your skin to purge for this to work.

Way too many people give up because they do not see results in a few weeks. That is not normal for most products anyways, your skin needs to adjust and create new cells and such. VANECL completely cleaned my skin to the point where I do not have breakouts at all anymore.

Also, to test it, I stopped using it, and within a week I had breakouts again. I do not reccomend hating on this unless you have given it a fair shot.

I bought this kit from my local Ulta and have been using it for about 7 months now and I think I finally found product that work for my skin! I breakout heavily around my period and have painful cystic hormonal acne.

I use them in addition to The Ordinary’s Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA, The Ordinary’s AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution (twice a week, the AHA, BHA) and Cerave’s Resurfacing Retinol Serum (every night) for now because I’m not going to waste my products and I was very eager to try La Roche Posay because of their reputation within the skin care industry.

I developed Milia on my eyelid and was searching for ways to get rid of it when I happened upon this line of products. My skin has improved within the two week timeframe they stated it would, and that’s a plus for me (no solution found to get rid of this Milia yet short of going to the dermatologist).

I just ordered plenty more of their products so I’ll follow their directions and hope to see good results just as I’ve obtained with these, if not better because I’ll transition fully over to their entire line of products to see how they all work together.

I normally don’t leave reviews, especially very early on. I ordered this on a whim because I’ve had problems with textured skin, and black heads specifically on my forehead, a lot of it was all under the surface.

I came across this brand after hearing positive reviews on their moisturizer, and saw this set. I read the description and thought the “see results after day 1” was just a gimmick to try and get people to buy it, but after using the three step system, and the moisturizer I purchased, a lot of the texture has already gone away.

I don’t want to jinx it, as I said, it has only been a day of use. I will say that I do have very sensitive skin and my face became a little red and irritated after using the toner, but it quickly went away.

I definitely won’t be using certain products multiple times a day, as I feel it would be too aggressive for my skin. Very impressed with it so far, though!.

The serum in this kit gave me a horrible rash (which ended up being a burn, that took off the top layer of my skin). I purposely used an extremely small amount of product because it has fairly strong ingredients.

I have no allergies. I was left with a burnt face for over a week; unable to treat my acne so it is even worse now!.

I have had no issue using this product. You must wait fo the layers to seperate, and then dip a q tip into the bottle. For the price you pay, the product is extremely efficient! It diminishes my pimples overnight.

I’ve had this product for almost 2 months and it surprises me how much is left over in such a small bottle, you really don’t need a lot! The product can be seen however, as it is a light pink so it’s more for overnight use or if you’re staying at home.

I don’t feel as if my skin is dried out or anything after using this product either!.

I decided to give this a try after buying a few months ago. I was starting to get a few pimples on my face during the hot September weather living in central Florida. I typically use this at night after I wash my face, I lightly dip a q-tip in the bottle until i touch the pink layer in the bottle and dot the pimple with the q-tip.

I still moisturize my face with a night cream but just leave the other with the pimple untouched. By the next morning the pimple is usually gone. Although, if I have a pimple thats new and just formed it does take me about a day or two of using this product until the pimple is completely gone.

I’ve used this three times now and I love it so far! It has reduced the size of my pimples and helped with hyperpigmentation on my cheeks. I was worried if it would leave random dry patches on my skin but is doesn’t at all.

Application is also fun, I enjoy how cute it looks after. A warning is that it leaves pink dots on your face that are visible(the product not a reaction), so unless you don’t mind pink dots I would recommend use at night.

I am limited in what I can use for acne bc I’m preggy. It works just as good as benzol with out bleaching your stuff. I actually keep this on amd let it soak in rather then washing it off. Will be using for as long as it works.

Wish they made a bigger size.

I got this after seeing a girl use it on tik tok and I felt like the ingredients were safe. I was excited to see if it would get rid of the texture on my skin and I believe it’s doing the job. Not only that, but I haven’t had any real bad breakouts even before my cycle starts.

My pores seem to be less noticeable as well. I’ve used multiple new products with this so I might not know exactly what product is doing what but I know my face is in way better condition, so this will be one of my new stables!.

I don’t have acne, but i was attracted to the oil free formula, and the ingredients Avene uses so as to not cause a flare up. This is one of the very few products that uses Retin-al, which is a more active form of vitamin A.

Retin-al also is less harsh on the skin, and is arguable a superior form of retinol. It is my standard by which I judge retinol serums, I have ordered it many times, and will continue to do so. Very highly recommended.

I have very sensitive skin and am acne prone, but since I’m so sensitive I have never found a ‘acne’ product that did more good than harm. Recently I’ve been breaking out (mostly white heads, blackheads) and decided I’d look again.

I found a great review of this product by somebody else with sensitive skin and decided to give it a go! First, no sensitivity issues at all. Second, very easy to use. Third, I have perfectly smooth skin now, much clearer than before, and my skin tone is looking more even (less hyperpigmentation).

I will definitely keep using it and I would recommend it to friends. NOTE: since I have sensitive skin I only use this Sunday through Wednesday nights, and on other nights us a healing/calming facial oil.

I might try to work up to every day.
