20 Best Products For Evening Out Skin Tone (2023 Updated)

A very interesting product, I still don’t know how to use it. It’s thicker than a pressed powder and looks a bit cakey. The shade is also weird, it looks darker in a pan but on my skin it magically turns 5 shades lighter 😯 So even with my pale skin I don’t know if I can wear it, so be careful with shades choice.

The packaging is pretty though, and the small brush is included.

I perfer this for under my make up. I have sensitive skin and it doesn’t make me break out. It’s coverage is better then some other c. c. I have tried. I like that it is somewhat buildable. During the summer I can throw this one on and go.

It out last my more expensive foundations during the summer as well.

I have never been fond of sunscreens or moisturizers and this one is BOTH. In the past the heavy textures of both attributed greatly to my breakouts. In tropical weather it didn’t help at all. With the heat and constant sweating– my pores are always open.

I still feel that itself draws dirt and impurities in. But it was always spoken that a sunscreen is a MUST in a daily regimen especially when you are getting older (hello sun spots). So, as a new Clinique Brand user I was eager to try a lot of Clinique’s acne and brightening products.

I was also set on trying their EVEN BETTER line to hopefully achieve a brighter, even-toned look. This moisturizer/sunscreen is light and leaves only a slight shine. I apply this thinly after the Radical Spot Corrector/Interruptor.

Then follow with pressed powder last. If I really HAVE TO include a quick convenient sunscreen w/ moisturizer combo daily– this is IT. And this is coming from someone who is still not a fan of sunscreens/moisturizers.

They must have changed the ingredients. This cream is horrible for my skin and its fragrance free. It’s greasy I can feel it on my face and it broke me out!!! I used to be obsessed with the even better line my sister also but now they changed the ingredients in it.

Now I use the Beauty Stat line and it is amazing!! I have age spots acne scars sun damage and a little wrinkles they are magically disappearing and I have not even been using for a month yet. The vitamin c serum is a little sticky so make sure that your face is a little damp before applying.

The only reason why I even attempt to try Beauty Stat because the guy used to be a chemist for Clinique and the even better line was amazing for my skin maybe it changed after he left? I would now give the moisturizer a 0 if I could because when something breaks my face out it takes forever to clear it up.

I have melisma and really need to wear SPF on my face as much as possible. I have tried some other brands but if I rub my eyes the sunscreen stings my eyes and very irritating. I work from home so this works well sitting by my office window and watering my plants outside.

This Clinique moisturizer w SPF is great. Little goes a long way and absorbs quickly with no stinging!.

I got this day time lotion as recommended by Clinique while I used their even better radical dark spot corrector, to ensure effectiveness and protect my skin from further darkening. I’ve been using it consistently for about a month now, hoping things would get better the longer I used it.

I love the dark spot corrector, I really don’t like this SPF lotion. I find it makes my skin very greasy within an hour of wearing it during the day. If I wear any makeup on top of this lotion, the greasy t zone is reeeaaal you guys.

This forehead could blind a man if caught at the right angle in the sun. The lotion was fairly expensive so I’m pretty disappointed. Anyways, would love to find a daytime lotion with SPF that doesn’t make me look like a timmies honey cruller.

The bottle says this is good for oily skin, but I have dry combination skin and live in a very dry climate (SoCal), and this works great for me! I wear liquid foundation and powder, and this is the only moisturizer that will keep my skin hydrated all day underneath my makeup without making it look cakey or causing it to smear.

For reference, I wear Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation, which is a stay-in-place liquid makeup. This moisturizer pairs perfectly with that. I also have very sensitive skin, and this is not irritating at all.

This product is REALLY good. I have pale skin and the sun damage on my face is super visible and noticeable. As I’m going in my younger 20s, i have heard to start using Vitamin C products during the day for an anti aging treatment.

I read that this was a super light vitamin C and that it was safe to use everyday. I even read that this could be combined with the BHA toner from Biossance since they are both so gentle. Well let me tell you, that did not work for me.

I used the BHA squalene toner and the Vitamin C serum together ONCE. By the end of the day, my face felt super greasy, which is unusual for me because i have normal to dry skin. No irritation whatsoever afterwards.

I used this serum everyday for a week straight after that without the toner. My face got SUPER irritated. It was so bad that even my squalene and amino aloe cleanser was contributing to redness in my face.

But don’t worry, it was nothing that a little vaseline couldn’t fix. As I have learned from my mistake, this product and probably any other vitamin C products shouldn’t be used everyday when it is your first time trying this product.

Take your time, slowly transition into a routine, a little break out and redness can happen, but it’s all about getting to know your sensitivity on your face. Now I learned a proper routine to use this without irritation, my face has never been so glowy.

I can already see a difference in sun damage being reversed and acne scars lightening, so this product is definitely worth it! Just don’t make the same mistake I made in the beginning. And remember, everyone’s skin is different.

I was waiting to finish a bottle before writing a review. I bought this serum knowing that it takes time to lighten dark spots (and difficult). After using this for about 5 months very generously every morning, I discovered using it makes my skin more moist and definitely has brightened my skin.

My mom who I see only once every few months immediately noticed that my skin looked clearer and brighter and said my skin looked like it was glowing. I bought this mostly for anti-aging preventive measures and wanted to see if it would do anything for my dark spots.

I still have dark spots (they might be freckles) but my overall skin is much clearer. I only use it in the morning and I found it works better in the morning for me because it doesn’t mess with any of my night time routines.

I think it’s a good general serum that has benefits. I have generally clear skin so I’m not sure if there are any other benefits but overall it helped brighten my skin (just don’t forget sunscreen!).

Biossance products are generally hit or miss for me, but I really really love this one! It has a beautiful milky texture that absorbs really well and doesn’t feel heavy or greasy like most vitamin c serums.

I’ve noticed some overall brightening to my skin and fading of hyperpigmentation, but am not sure if it can be fully attributed to this product as I’m using it in conjunction with a few other targeted actives in my routine.

This serum is very sensitive skin friendly, and I also enjoy using it under my eyes. The texture is incredibly nourishing as well, and I find this eliminates the need for a separate hydrating toner or serum in my routine.

All of that being said, it’s still a lot of money to drop at once for a product containing a form of vitamin c that lacks peer reviewed scientific evidence to back up its claims, aka all of my results are purely anecdotal.

But this has been my favourite vitamin c serum I’ve ever used (pure Ascorbic acid serums don’t play well with my skin personally), so I highly recommend if you have more sensitive skin and can justify the price point!.

This Olay moisturiser comes in a large jar and is very concentrated, so a little goes a long way. It has a light texture that absorbs quickly and leaves no oily residue behind. It hydrates my skin instantly and leaves it feeling soft and silky.

Bought Olay Regenerist Luminous Tone Perfect Cream with the serum. Both on £10 Tuesday offer. There isn’t any cream that suit me or doesn’t give me pimples apart from Olay. I’m Olay user the 7 total effects day and night cream as they are the only I’m happy to spend that much money on a cream.

I came from Philippines where Olay makes a whitening formula but couldn’t get it here in UK as Olay cater to tanning effect rather than whitening. I guess this luminous cream and serum will do the job while it’s on offer.

I got this 2 days ago. I’ve used it twice. On a clean dry face and if I touch my face it just rolls off. So if it rolls off, and doesn’t absorb, then what benefit is my face getting from it? I bought another olay product in in a pump bottle and my skin was just as dry as before I used it.

I am 30yrs old, medium skin color. and due to ignorance of skin care, I have a lot of markings on my face due to poor care. including terribly pulled and stressed crow’s feet, because I use to rub my eyes a lot [allergies].

I also have rather dark undereye nearer the noise, while gradually getting lighter to the end near the crow’s feet. After a month, I noticed a significant change to the crows feet area. I went from purple red to more of lighter purple, almost skin tone line.

This product is one of my best. As a fair skin African American, our knees, elbows are some times not the best color. Since I started using Makari products, this tonic cream is one of my favorite, it brightens my knees, elbows, and I did rock my miniskirt this summer.

I won’t be buying this again. Bought both the night and day cream of this. While the cream itself is ok, the smell is so overpowering. It reminds me of really strong floral perfumes my granny would buy from Marks and Spencer’s in the 90s.

That’s not a bad smell on its own but it feels like so much perfume has been added to these creams that the smell is kind of sickening when you put it on your face. Not a fan.

I have never felt SO compelled to write a review until now. So I have oily/combination skin, lately I have also been suffering with acne, the kind that’s like painful lumps and then leaves you with scars yeah that kind! I almost never review products. However, the Dr Sturm products have become my single beauty product line. I am 68 and haven’t been the most careful person – smoking, too thin and it has impacted my skin.

(I quit smoking) Over the last years, I have tried most of the high end products – La Mer, La Prairie, Cle de Peau, Chantecaille, etc. They are not bad but I have found that the Dr Sturm line is far superior.

The anti-aging face cream is remarkable in that it is very nourishing yet doesn’t leave a slimy, smelly feeling on my skin. The product absorbs into my skin after the anti-aging serum and brightening serum to leave a smooth, silky feel.

I particularly enjoy the fact that Dr Sturm does not need to fragrance every product with some overwhelming rose scent. Roses are beautiful but I do not want to smell like a rose. I want to wear my perfume for my scent.

I have noticed a significant change in the appearance of lines and wrinkles. The cream is expensive and worth the price. It lasts a long time as I use very little to achieve the results. It really should be a part of a full routine with the enzyme cleanser (my favorite) a serum or two and the cream.

I also use the facial mask. This is a product you will love.

The INKEY List Ceramide Night Treatment has been a saviour for my compromised skin barrier. Lately I’ve been experiencing redness, flakiness, tightness and increased breakouts and rashes all over my face due to over exfoliation.

Thankfully, this product was here to help my poor skin. So what are ceramides? Ceramides are lipids that help form the skin’s barrier and help skin retain moisture. Without the proper ratio of ceramides, the skin’s barrier can become compromised, leading to dryness, itching and irritation.

I never EVER leave reviews but I thought I’d write this one cause I struggled REALLY badly with hyperpigmentation for about 2 or 3 years and this has reallyyyy helped with my skin. Within a couple weeks I started seeing a difference.

After months of using this product my skin is so much clearer and brighter. This product is really good and I’d 100% recommend and it’s the only product I’ve tried that didn’t cause me to have breakouts so I was able to get rid of the hyperpigmentation without worrying about getting more spots which would always interrupt the process.

Skin type: Oily combo, Pale Olive tone, slow to tan Concerns: Hormonal cystic acne, scarring, PIH I originally bought this just to give it a go having previously used products like TO’s Azelaic acid and not had much in the way of visible results on my acne and just figured my skin wasn’t the kind that would be responsive to brightening products.

Turns out I hadn’t tried Tranexamic Acid! From just trying this out, I had noticeable reductions in redness just a few days after starting use on some fresh healing acne. From having redness last for up to a month, it was fading within 1-2 weeks (depending on the severity of my breakouts) Texture-wise it is a nice light gel consistency that doesn’t pill and sinks into the skin nicely – which for someone with oily skin is great that it isn’t too thick or too watery and hard to manage.

I’m on my 3rd bottle of it now and I use it as a nightly spot treament, and my break-out areas are looking so much more even toned – its even helped fade some PIH pigmentation that I have had since my teens that I had just accepted as part of my face.

I start applying it as soon as I start to get a break-out to give the healing a head start. I think they have changed the instructions for this product since I started using it – the first one I bought recommended it as a spot treatment with moisturiser over the top, but now it is recommended in place of a moisturiser/ final step.

I haven’t tried it as a full face layer, but I reckon if you want to make it last longer, stick to using it as a spot/patch treatment for specific areas. 4 stars because its GREAT but I find the size is a bit small (good for travel) and runs out quite quickly.

I have been using Dr. Sturm’s original eye cream for over a year, and love the lightweight texture and pure formula that never has caused problems for my very my sensitive eyes. With this new anti-aging Sturm eye cream, I wanted the assurance of having a non – reactive cream that also delivered more benefits for my dark circles and puffiness.

The new cream is just as non – stinging, is just as gentle to the eyes as DrSturm’s original. It is not as lightweight, but is quickly absorbed and feels as refreshing as the original. After a month of use, I think my dark circles and puffiness are somewhat better, my upper lids look a little lifted (if I’m not too tired).

The biggest difference is that my fine ( and not so fine) lines have benefitted greatly from the extra hydration. There is a smoothness that makes concealer application much easier. I know there is no such thing as a magic eye cream.

Dr Sturm delivered on her promise of having anti-aging properties in a formula that did not inflame the very sensitive tissue around my eyes. I am going to keep using both Sturm eye creams, rotating depending on weather and how much hydration my lids need in various climates, and times of stress that cause my eyes to look older and need the boost of the richer anti- aging formula.

I bought this along with the spot treatment from the same line to win the fight against maskne. I put it on the areas that was irritated, my nose, and cheeks from wearing the mask. Using this in combination with the darker skin tones really helped.

I’ve been using it for two weeks now and the planet I had growing on my nose is basically gone now. I have the hyperpigmentation where the pimples were and the ha serum from the darker skin tones like really helped.

There’s no fragrance and it’s easy to apply, I’ve commented on the face mask before but I will say it again I was using the Aztec clay mask mixing making sure I have the right proportion and then washing to make sure it doesn’t clog the drain, feeling the tightness and pain thinking that pain=products are working.

and I’m not saying that it didn’t work I can see you do get what you pay for There is no applicator with the mask but we should all know by now to wash your hands before you touch your face. It’s very smooth to put on, doesn’t cover your entire skin surface, meaning that I can still see my skin under the mask which is not a bad thing.

at first I thought do I have to apply more, and when I applied more on the areas that have the acne I can still see my skin. You don’t feel the pulsating feeling like with other masks, but after the 10-15 min I looked in the mirror and it looked like it was gone, not sure if that means that it’s being absorbed into my skin.

Then I shower and rub it off in the shower and my skin felt so smooth. I I still can’t believe how much I spent on this there was a mini sale when I bought it , which isn’t a lot of $ for sturm products but something is better than nothing.

You do get what you paid for in my experience using it.

This serum is expensive and I do use it sparingly to make each bottle I buy go as far as possible, but I just can’t help but repurchase every time I run out! The formula is just so wonderful and it really is a saviour for my skin – super hydrating, comforting and nourishing, yet light and non-greasy.

I have tried so many cheaper alternatives, but none of them compare to this one. It just leaves my skin so plump and dewy, which keeps my drier skin from feeling the effects of winter/retinol use as much.

It does leave a noticeable layer on top of the skin, but I love this as my skin drinks up thinner serums and craves more moisture in a matter of minutes. As soon as I stop using it, I notice such a difference! I don’t actually add it to my moisturiser, I just apply a couple of drops straight to my skin prior to other treatments and I haven’t had any problems.

The Day and Overnight Facial are offered with a substantial saving value wise. But the biggest benefit is having both facial oils working together. It has really optimised the condition of my skin keeping to this regime.

As a Hungarian I am a big fan of the brand. I have been using the Vitamin C serum for a year (which I still like a lot). I thought I would give this new product a try. I am impressed by the texture, a bit better, less fluid than the Vitamin C, but not at all sticky.

When we’re in autumn and the colder weather is here, that’s when my complexion begins to suffer and feel dehydrated from the central heating and cold winds.

So I’ve only just begun to use this and I’m amazed already how soft, supple and hydrated my face feels. I don’t feel that a moisturiser is necessary although I do always follow up with an oil from Sarah Chapman’s range.

The only niggle, and reason it doesn’t get 5* from me, is the applicator. It’s a suction system, employed by depressing a button in the lid. I’ve found with this unguent it’s quite difficult to suck up and I often end up having to “suck” minimum five times in order to get enough product for my face and neck.

I wish it came from a delivery system like those in the oils and moisturisers. But that’s just a little niggle and wouldn’t stop me repurchasing.
