I bought three of them although it has price tag 6 times more than normal shampoo and was so excited but no result after a week of use and gave me rash on my head. I would rather use hair dye product instead.

I give the shampoo 4 stars because of the overwhelming kind of unpleasant smell. It does make your hair feel soft. I give the company selling it a 1 star for customer service and tracking ability. So with all that said their total of just 3 stars for those reasons.

All of Just Nutrive products are wonderful, and this shampoo is just as advertised. Great natural ingredients, brightens hair with out drying or stripping your hair. Highly recommend.

You only need a dime size amount and get tons of creamy lather that is gentle to gray hair. My hair has been thinning and I think some of it was due to using products like hairspray with alcohol that made my hair brittle and it would break off.

Now I will only use this shampoo and matching conditioner and nothing else on my hair.

If you want good results ignore the 1 minute instructions and leave it on for 20 to 30 min. then rinse and rub with only wanter, no other soap and rub it with wet dark towel. If it gets on your fingers it washes off with soap.

The more you rub the more it comes off. It is the only product that does not cause me allergy and it ends with great salt and pepper look. Although they recommend only for hair I use it on the beard too and works well.

Recently they came with a product for beard but I see no difference between the opiginal and the bears one. Either is ok.

The box says it’s subtle and they’re not kidding. I’ve been using it daily for seven weeks (usually letting it sit for at least 3 or 4 minutes in the shower before rinsing it off) and my grey is definitely less noticeable but it’s nothing like a lot of the pictures.

My beard has always been a combination of very dark brown (almost black) hair that has a lot of red highlights, especially in bright sunlight. I’m part-Italian so it’s very thick and grows fast (I have to trim it weekly).

That’s why I didn’t want to use the regular dye – I’d have to re-dye it every two or three days lest I have grey roots on my face. The Control GX beard shampoo does indeed live up to several of its claims: FIRST: it’s very easy to use, and far more convenient than the regular JFM beard dye.

I bought a lighted suction-cup mirror for the shower to help make sure I was getting good beard coverage, but otherwise I was able to integrate it into my morning shower routine with ease. SECOND: this stuff WILL stain your fingernails, or more likely, your cuticles.

Rubbing it in with your palms does help, as does vigorous scrubbing with soap and – preferably – a brush of some kind. Or maybe the scruffy part of a hard-plastic scrubbing sponge? But get used to a little staining on your fingertips.

It’s not terribly noticeable to others, though. THIRD: it can stain the heck out of your shower, too. But it won’t if you’re prompt about rinsing it off. I recommend getting one of those shower heads at the end of a hose to make such rinsing easier.

FOURTH and FINALLY: As mentioned, it’s subtle: it took nearly three weeks before I would say things started looking different at all. And even now at seven weeks, I still have a lot of “gray” sprinkled around, it’s just a brown-tinted grey so it’s less obvious, although the rest of my beard that WASN’T grey has gotten noticeably darker, too, so the contrast is still more than I’d like.

But then again, it’s grey REDUCING, not grey ELIMINATING.

This does not remove all grays but it does reduce and blend very well. It is about 10 dollars and you have to use it for roughly 2 weeks to start seeing results and after 4 weeks you can start to cycle on and off each day with using it or not.

It is easy to apply I get my beard wet then apply and let sit for 3 minutes until I shower it out. Downside is no matter how much you wash your hands your finger nails start to turn colors on the sides a bit.

Overall it’s decent nothing crazy but if you just need some results this will do it.

Love the softness. Wish I had. Curls to enhance, but alas poker straight. Combined shampoo and conditioner is so easy. One star down for violet color of the prodt. My hair didn’t take on any of the violet color, but do be careful.

I’ve tried all kinds of shampoos for my unruly gray hair, but this one is the best so far. It says that it’s a shampoo and conditioner, but I still need to use a conditioner with it as well. It is, however, the most conditioning shampoo that I have found, even more so than the expensive salon ones that stain everything in your shower purple.

This shampoo doesn’t take much to lather up and my hair is semi controllable after using it. It doesn’t dry it out and I can use it daily.

I have very fine (but ample) wavy/puffy hair that goes to my mid back. It’s naturally about a dark/medium brown that sun bleaches easily. I used to dye my hair with N4 and vol 20 developer but my hairdresser said my natural colour is so close that it’s not worth the damage I was causing.

Because of how fine and wavy my hair is it just doesn’t react well to any kind of harsh chemicals and quickly becomes dry and brittle. My hairdresser suggested transitioning to a semi and this product is almost perfect! Yes, it doesn’t last as long as permanent but I really like how it allows my natural tones to still show vs the solid single tone you get from permanent.

You don’t get the harsh grow out line and there’s zero long-term damage risks. I have like 5 grey hairs and it doesn’t do a whole lot for them but it does blend them for the first few washes. I’ve removed a star because it bleeds every time you wash your hair and by the time the bleeding stops the colour is gone.

I wanted to love this SO bad. It’s so easy and convenient. I could have touched up my hair anytime and any day of the week with ease. However- This is neither “medium brown” OR ashy. Total BRASS PALE BROWN, if you can call it brown at all.

This product was absolutely awful. I also tried the black. Again. black is NOT black. At best, it came out a brassy medium brown. So so so disappointed.

After years of using curl mousse products, it’s definitely the best one i ever had !!! First, the smell is gorgeous, and i couldn’t stop smelling my hair even one day after using it, that’s how divine it is ! Second, the texture is so smooth !! Really felt amazing compared to the other mousses i tried ! And let’s not forget the result ! Which i am very happy with, did help making my curls look nice and did not make huge and hard bulks of hair or anything as some would have done from what i used to have before.

Ladies as you all well know about the changes of getting older. I did not take into consideration of a perm for gray hair. This product is awesome. My scalp even feels the difference. Beautiful shine.

Make sure to follow the directions that are enclosed with the kit and still grease your scalp as a precaution. Yes it is hard to find, but if you go to Sally’s website it may help find a store near you.

Get two just in case. Holiday season is coming and you don’t want to be without.

I am very pleased with the way my hair feels and the shine is beautiful. It took only 15 more minutes for the start to shampoo. This is a great relaxer. Sally’s has always had great shipping. The notifications when my package is to be delivered are nice too.

I don’t have bleached hair yet (I plan to in the future) and I bought this mask to test it out. It’s amazing! Made my hair so soft – much better than the tresemme one. I recommend.

Read the instructions and respect the power! Redken did not scrimp on pigment. There’s a reason they say you should wear gloves to use it, which is ridiculous but whatever. Their purple conditioner is a pale color but the blue is just as dark as the shampoo.

It’s so dark! Take a washcloth or rag into the shower to wipe down the walls or it could end up looking like the scene of a smurf murder. Watch your cuticles, too! Rinse extremely well. It works! But if you have any highlighted areas you may need to mix it with a white conditioner to dilute all that BLUE.

Otherwise, it could stain your hair, which kind of defeats the purpose. I read reviews about it drying out people’s hair so mixing it with a deep conditioner might counteract that but I’m not a professional so conduct science experiments at your own risk.

I haven’t changed anything in my hair care routine except this. The first time I used it, meh it did the job and made my hair a lot brighter. Mind you I only use this twice a month because purple shampoo is so harsh.

The second time I used this, HOLY DRYNESS. It literally sucked every bit of moisture out of my hair and turned my hair silver, which was fine, but I looked like a hag due to the frizz. I’ve never experienced such harshness from a product.

I’ve had to completely reset my hair by not putting any heat or this shampoo on my hair for a month. It ruined my hair for my graduation and I couldn’t be anymore disappointed in this product. Not to mention it doesn’t lather at all and I felt like I had to use a ton of it to clean my hair.

This product really does reverse brassy tones, but it isn’t worth sucking all the moisture out of your hair.

I have gray hair, chin length, with areas of solid white. I’ve always been careful with using products that enhance the color. Gray hair that is not properly taken care of can turn yellow. I do get body perms every 12 to 14 weeks.

I have long curly hair and I love this stuff! I use it as a leave-in conditioner and sometimes finish with a styling jelly over top! It’s very thick but it applies really easily on wet hair and it doesn’t weigh it down.

That’s really important for me because I hate when my curls are flat. This has a nice smell and leaves my curls looking bouncy! I definitely recommend applying it into wet hair, and if you have thinner hair (as I do), a little goes a long way.

When I use it to refresh my curls, I get them a little wet which helps with the application and helps re-define them.

I purchased this at a department store in Dallas Texas. I don’t recall where. But I love this product. My daughter and I both have wavy curly African American hair. Mine is more fine and she has a thicker definition.

However the product works great for us both. You do have to play around with it because depending on the result you have to use less or more product. I will be trying the shampoo and conditioner, lip balm and some other products as well.

I’m glad I found this company and this product. I also really enjoy the JBCO leave conditioner packets. I live in the USA-SC and I can the find the leave in conditioner at dollar general and the styling sorbet in Marshalls.

The combination works great on my hair. I have 3C fine curly hair. The curl definition is great, the smell is so pleasant, the frizz is reduced, my hair is soft, and it is not weighted down. If I get too heavy handed in areas it makes the curl a little stiff but not too hard.

I will be buying and trying collections from Okay naturals.

Just got this yesterday and here’s the deal yall… it’s basically heavily pigmented powder eyeshadow that you pack on your roots to “disguise them instantly” with a two sided densely packed brush. Ok, so I can see this product working wonders for grey roots on dark and black hair, no doubt that’s why it’s won Allures Best of Beauty several years in a row.

( also a reason I picked it up in the first place, I shoulda researched a little more) But, for us blondeys , try as it might and claim as it does, this product isnt going to cover dark roots up, it’s just not.

It literally can’t. It is common sense really I was just hoping for a magic product or something here and let’s face it, they don’t exist, you have to cancel out the color completely through bleaching then adding tones lowlights whatnot and that is the only way to truly make dark roots blonde.

The Only way. But if you’re wanting grey coverup I see this product working wonders!!.

I discovered this product during an emergency visit to Blo BlowDryBar in West Village. My blonde roots grow out pretty quickly and I have a dark brown to blonde balayage, so this powder is my savior.

It prevents me from having to get a root touch up every 3 weeks. The color is absolute perfection and the texture sticks to the hair strands and not to the scalp so it looks completely natural. It even manages to fill in any sparse areas to make your hair look fuller and thicker.

One side of the brush applicator is short, soft and dense to pack the product on press where it need it on your hair, the other side of the applicator’s bristles is wider to brush away any excess powder.

It doesn’t smear or stain your pillows and is waterproof until you shampoo it out. Ah-mazing!.

I’m always on the hunt for a great root touch up product, as my dark hair grows quickly & roots start showing around my face a couple of weeks after salon color. My experience had been with a couple of the pressed powder brands (one more expensive & one drug store) – both had great, quick coverage since I need a lot with my thicker hair, but both were very messy.

Because of my love of 99% of Lange products I’ve used, I was excited to try the Root Touch-Up Stick! It’s more of a wax/crayon consistency than some others have called it a marker. Unfortunately every time I’ve tried it, the crayon flakes into my hair & onto my scalp, which I then have to blend in with my fingers or a comb, or rub off my scalp.

I have somewhat wavy hair & my greys are more coarse than the rest of my hair. The reviews were very promising, so maybe it works better for smoother locks? I haven’t requested a replacement yet, but hoping I received a stick from an older/dryer batch, and that a newer replacement may be creamier? I’m willing to try it again as the color is great!.

This product comes in handy for those of us going gray around the hairline and temples. I’ve tried other sprays and crayon-like sticks for the same purpose. This is slightly better in not coming off as easily until you wash.

And being able to control it easier than a spray which around hairline area was very hard and messy to spray and control. But if you have fine, thin hair AND low-density – meaning I don’t have a lot of it: this root touch up stick doesn’t glide on as well as I saw the video of a lady with much thicker, fuller hair.

Essentially it ends up painting on my scalp/temple area as I try to just cover up the hair. So then it looks obvious l painted those areas with something and distracts a bit. So if you have thin and little hair be realistic you’ll have to work with it to paint the hair and not your scalp/skin.

For that reason and the fact it’s normally about $25 I give it 3 stars. I’d never buy it for full price plus shipping. It doesn’t work well-enough to justify that. I bought them on sale for $10 – I did buy 3.

I’m 60 my hair has thinned and I can see small bare spots on my scalp. I’ve bought root touch up sprays, crayons but color and textures did not satisfy my needs. I gave this a try. First time use I applied to the crown and two bare spots patted it in with my finger tip.

Looked 👀 I had to double take because it look like instant hair growth! I couldn’t believe it! The color was perfect and I like that it’s a crayon so easy to control placement. No irritation feeling no itchiness on my scalp.

Slept, woke up with no stain on my pillowcase. No touch up needed and it stayed put. Wild huh!.

I have been using the shampoo for a few years. It stopped my hair from falling out and stimulated a lot of new growth. I never needed a conditioner with the shampoo, because the shampoo alone did a good enough job.

However, the price has come down enough that I was able to buy the set. The combination of the two is really good for my aging hair (I’m 53, with mid length natural auburn hair and very few grays). It rolls it back to the way my hair used to look 15 years ago.

I can even get away with less flat ironing and just a blow dry.

This “gray shampoo” must have some type of purple dye in it. It’s probably designed to reduce the yellow effect that some gray hair has. The problem is, it stains the shower purple. I have never seen a shampoo do this.

Firstly, I didn’t ask for dye. The purpose of looking for a shampoo for gray hair is because gray hair is more coarse and wiry, and needs to be more manageable. If I want to change the color of my hair, I will dye it.

This is supposed to be shampoo. But if this is going to try to modify my hair color, that might be tolerable. But it should absolutely not be staining my shower.

Never received this product, however, I’ve used it before. Love the sense of cleanness as well as the fragrance. Love their hair pomade and how easy it is to remove it at night or whenever you decide to shower.

Would I buy it again?? Absolutely!.

I used the Medium Brown Touch of Gray for years then switched to Control GX for about a year. The GX seemed easier but not great coverage unless I used very frequently and seemed to get blotchy dark areas etc.

My new Barber said stop using it. It doesn’t look good. I went back to Touch of Gray, My Barber said what did you do it looks great? So I use it about every 2 weeks On day of haircut (#6 blade on sides) short on top and then 2 weeks later which takes me to next haircut 2-3 weeks.

I don’t use the Comb I don’t use enclosed oversized plastic gloves (too Messy) I use latex gloves apply it all over and wipe off any that gets on skin with tissue. I leave it on about 7 min I don’t get the advertised Salt and Pepper but more overall coverage that is somewhat translucent and shows some gray depending on light conditions It looks natural I tell some people I color my hair and they said they never would have guessed.

I have used hair coloring products (Original JFM + others) for years and also used Touch of Gray previously. Since I have colored my hair 6-8 times per year for over 10 years, I find it relatively easy to color my hair.

My recent experience was frustrating because it seemed like the coloring out of the tube was a lot thinner and runny. I didn’t care for the comb included. I left the product on my hair for 10 minutes versus the 5 minutes (starts when 100% complete with application) as instructed.

Results were HANDFULS OF GRAY and not touch of gray. The frustration when dealing with a runny product was compounded by the weak gray coverage. Maybe I got a bad batch. This product was not easy to use, did not get rid of desired amount of gray and was messy to apply.

I will switch to the Autostop product because of all the prior success with JFM products.

It’s a lot closer to black than brown, but nothing wrong with that unless you’re expecting brown. It could be that it shows darker on me since my original natural color is black, even though it’s white now.

Main thing is it looks like a natural color. The next shade darker (Black) can look unnatural, with a purple tint. So I recommend Dark Brown over Black even if you’re looking for black.

I have tried other products that did not work but this product is sooooo easy to use! I will be a faithful customer of the Express Retouch because it works so well and is very easy to use. The sponge top goes exactly where you want to do the touch-up and dries quickly!.

The applicator reminds me of a bottle of shoe polish. There is no shine to the product either. Gives a very flat unnatural look to the hair. The only reason I give it 3 stars is that it’s easy to apply and not messy to use.

I like how easy it matched with my hair color and how natural it looked when I applied it. The concealer is light and not heavy at all. It feels just like a light powder and is not sticky. I really do like this.

Recently, my root concealer cans have no color in them. I tried to call the company but the calls don’t go through. I buy in bulk so the last four cans might have been the same lot. I hate to have to switch to another product because I always liked this one in the past.

Style Edit is a great root concealer. It uses pigments that blend well with your hair color. Looks very naturaI. I find it is easy to apply. Spray a couple of short bursts to each 2 inch area you want to cover.

It will stay on even if a little water does cause some to rub off on your towel. It does wash off when you shampoo. It gives great, natural coverage and stays in place from shampoo to shampoo.

Good coverage for hiding gray roots between hair coloring. I’ve been using this product for several years and the color always blended well. However, Style Edit changed their color naming scheme, and the new colors aren’t quite the same.

I used to use Medium/Light Brown. The recommended new compatible color is “Medium Brown”, but I found Medium Brown to be a lot darker than the previous Medium/Light Brown. I will probably try another product the next time.

Why change something that works?.

I have struggled with gray hair since I was very young and unfortunately the more time went by the more gray my hair became so by the time I hit my mid 30’s my head was almost completely covered in gray.

I stumbled across this product while looking for something else here on Amazon and read the reviews for multiple listings because apparently the reviews are different depending on the quantity of bottles you buy in the set.

Needless to say I saw one review where a customer posted pictures of a strand of hair and you could see the strand is darker toward the root and decided to give it a shot because the price was too good to pass up.

I purchased a 2 pack and have been taking 2 capsules a day as directed and I am just starting my second bottle. 33 days have passed or 1 bottle 3 doses from the new bottle to be exact, and while taking off my shirt to jump in the shower last night I noticed some gray strands of hair on my black shirt so when I went to remove them I couldn’t believe what I saw.

At the base or root of the hair strand I can see where my hair has clearly changed color at the root and considering that I have only taken these capsules for only 33 days I can see a significant amount of growth has taken place based on the length or coverage on the strand.

I wasn’t expecting a miracle, just a little help controlling the gray or something to keep from having to have to color my hair at some point in the future, but I am very happy with the results so far and I will be buying another larger supply.

Even if this doesn’t get rid or replace all of my gray hair I am already more than happy with the results and the product has already paid for itself many times over. I had to take several pictures because of the lighting and also because my phone doesn’t exactly do the best job, but it should be enough to illustrate what got me so excited.

Results will obviously vary for every individual, from the time it takes to notice a change or maybe not for that matter. Just keep in mind that it may not work for you the way it works for other people before deciding to purchase the product.

When I received this purchase, the bottle was dented and the cap was broken. The only thing holding the pills in the bottle was the cotton inside. I would have given a better review of the product overall, as I have been using it and it seems to work somewhat, if it did not arrive in such poor condition.

I put the pills in a different container and hope the pills were not affected inside.

This shampoo is nice and light feeling. It doesn’t have too much suds and has good amount of lathering. It has a great minty fresh smell that tingles the scalp. I was very satisfied with this product.

I didn’t think my grey hair was dry or wiry but one use of this stuff and it was silky soft and glowing! It’s almost like a combined shampoo / conditioner. Soft creamy lather, fresh scent, and great end results.

I treat it more like a conditioner and only use it maybe a couple of times a week alongside my regular shampoo but that’s enough for me. Warning – don’t be freaked out first time you use it when the lather appears a purple/lilac colour – the end result is a great shine on your silver-top!.

It’s a NO for me, zero stars! Ruined my gorgeous hair. It says it’s for grey and ash hair but it turned me blonde, definitely not to help the upkeep of ashy tones. It’s a good shampoo and conditioner as far as quality but doesn’t stand up to the description it gives.
