20 Best Post Op Bras For Breast Augmentation (2023 Updated)

I bought this purely because it was front fastening. It doesn’t give much support, and it doesn’t fit properly. Measured at 40E, the ladies in the shop ordered the size they thought would fit best. I must say it doesn’t pinch around the back, so it’s comfortable there, but no support and not fitting properly (I look like I have boobs with double chins!) mean I wouldn’t buy another one.

Not worth anywhere near £50. Doesn’t wash particularly well either at 30 degrees centigrade. On the plus side, it is soft against the skin. Order delivered to my home when they said it would be, didn’t change it because there basically isn’t an alternative.

Bravissimo, you need better front fastening bras for the bigger lady!.

Online chat, I think Claire at Bravissimo. I have fractured my shoulder and elbow and it was impossible to get a bra on. Then we decided the Peony Hook and Eye was worth a try because the strap was detachable.

This bra is awesome, with my cup size I cannot be braless and so this bra enabled me to get independently dressed and undressed. Thank you Claire for taking the time to help me find the right product for me.

This bra isn’t just for post op ladies. I could step into it fully fastened pull it up and fasten the detachable strap over my injured shoulder. Lovely soft fabric too.

Following a double mastectomy with breast reconstruction in April 2022 I purchased this black bra as well (having already got a white one). For me the bra has to be worn 24 hours a day for 3 months and they are so comfortable and very easy to wash.

I even forget that that I have it on as it is so comfortable. This bra provides lots of support with no digging in. It has a comfortable band and as the swelling decreases you can alter the straps and eyelets very easily.

Highly recommended.

I bought this for my post mastectomy and reconstruction surgery. It’s very soft and comfortable against the skin and didn’t irritate the skin. I also wore these at night for the first three weeks and it was very comfortable.

I am in between a size 10-12. I found the size 12 more comfortable straight after surgery as fitted well over bandage and drains.

This is a very comfortable bra, which is something I need after having surgery. It is supportive enough, and I don’t feel it pinching me anywhere. It’s pretty, too! I’d definitely buy it again.

It’s a pretty bra but my girls just did not fit in it. I’m a 38DD and that measurement was taken by a Maidenform employee who sold me Bali Bras about 2 or 3 yrs ago that smoothed all over without a wire.

I ordered this because I could not seem to find the same bra on your website.

Although I didn’t have breast surgery it was recommended by the assistant at a Hanes outlet store. I had to use the loosest hook as it ran a little snugger than other bali bras but it fit so beautifully I took it anyway.

I ordered more through this site. There’s some sort of firm ridge underneath the breast that lifts the girls up very effectively. Very impressed. Of course the price here beats any retail store.

Loved it. All the way from Cali I was so excited to recieve them. I recently had a breast reduction and needed compression bras. I bought one here in a store close to where I live that sells fajas as well and it was not even close to the ones i purchased with this boutique.

Highly recommend and they are great with compression and support at a great price !.

Strong and perfect for breast job. It’s not loose and cheap like others and doesn’t lose elastically after 1 use.

I am very disappointed in what happened to this bra when it was washed! I have bought bras from you for years,mostly when you had actually stores I could go into and see in person what I’m buying! The way I prefer to shop,especially for clothes.

I have always washed them in the washer and dryer them in the dryer. I never had a problem until now. The hook end literally melted and twisted into a mess. I have bought two sweaters and a top and theses bras from you since you closed your stores and the only thing I was happy with was the bars.

I found the sweaters to be way different than what I expected from looking at them on line,very thin and the material is too clingy! Also loved the style of the top I bought but again the stretchy Clingy material was horrible.

I kept the sweaters but so far have never worn them and I returned the top. So I decided I would only order bras from you because I really like the way they fit and look. After I returned the top I ordered three more bras.

And I was about to order a few more when this happened! Just so you know some of the bras I bought from your stores when they were around actually said “hand wash” however I always put them in the washer and dryer and NEVER had a problem.

I sent a message about this problem quite a while ago and the only response I got was the message was received and someone would get back to me but no one ever did. Lynne.

I’m not used to bras that don’t have individual cups. It’s a comfortable bra but I prefer bras with individual cups. I was surprised at the amount of support it gave me. I was pleased with that but I prefer the shaping I get with individual cups.

I will wear it but probably under loose fitting tops like sweatshirts.

I’ve stopped wearing wire bras! Wire-free bras are the way to go! I have tried many brands from other plus-sized stores & Amazon and Im really liking this one. Loved the wide bands and the soft feel of this bra.

Its like a silky elastic bra that i even fell asleep in. It gives a lot of support. The only thing is when u hook it closed, the other hooks may come unhooked so u have to hook the top and bottom hook first and then hook the others in between.

I just had explant surgery and needed a good post op bra. This bra is very comfortable and I love that it’s not a razed back bra.

After too many bland choices for post-surgical needs, I was thrilled to come across sophisticated bra designs(I bought two! ). I have worn this bra many, many times, and there are distinct shortfalls in design.

The hooks pop open often in the course of a day (and if wearing overnight, always). I made the same suggestions on another review – but to reiterate: an easy remedy would be to use open end zippers – other women have made a similar complaint.

When suddenly my bra popped open as I was standing still on a supermarket line, I thought please – a ZIPPER! For this level of design, go the logical step of doing everything towards natural fibers. Cotton FEELS so much better rather than nylon (read: plastic) against one’s body – and a body that has been through surgery, please, think of our needs.

Others have noted the racerback design may put pressure on the shoulders and I agree. An easy solution would be to use adaptable straps which can be easily adjusted to fit ALL body types. We are not all one length and we each have unique post-surgery need/s.

If you are marketing this as a post-surgery bra then you must incorporate flexibility of adjustment. Please designers. take note. Go the step towards cotton, as much as you can – for all designs.

I bought this bra for post Lumpectomy/lymph node removal surgery due to breast cancer. My normal bra size is 38 B/C. I wanted something beautiful and it definitely is that. I initially ordered an extra large, as recommended for 38, and it was WAY too big in band and cup.

I sent back the order and ordered a size large which fit nicely. The bra cups and side bands were very soft and comfy on my delicate post surgical skin. The sad news is that the “Y” in the back sits high up on the neck and is very uncomfortable.

I love and own many racerback bras so this really surprised me. Also, as stated in some of the other reviews, the hooks can come undone. They didn’t all come undone, but a few at the bottom and a few at the top did.

The bra does provide support, but it does not provide compression needed post surgery. I would recommend this bra for sleeping as the pressure on the neck is not as noticeable. I will most likely be unable to wear this bra in the future due to the pressure on the neck which is sad because the cups are comfy, it is beautiful and it was also pricey.

I just bought these bras in three colors and I have to admit this is the most comfortable best fitting strapless bra I’ve EVER worn! The comfort band is AMAZING and totally stops the pinching and digging from the bottom of the underwire when you sit or bend or move! It’s an absolute dream! The band seemed a bit tight at first , but once I got it on I realized it was just tight enough for the band to stay secure but it was very comfortable.

I suggest seeing the size recommendation that cacique offers. I was an uncomfortable 42c in torrid and all my other brands , but I was sized to a 44b in this brand and it was perfection! I have never had a bra fit this well! NO GAPS EITHER! Amazing ! Get these guys while you can!.

Up until I started using Lane Bryant bras, I’d given up on wearing any lined bra (aka underwire). I couldn’t wear any brand of this type more than a few hours before I couldn’t wait to get it off. These are the MOST COMFORTABLE I’ve worn.

The straps don’t pinch and are VERY adjustable. I bought several and tried them for several weeks. I can wear one of these for over 12 hours without any issues. I’m in between cup sizes so I prefer going up to the next cup size and adjust as needed.

For washing, I hand wash in Woolite Dark or Tide Free and Gentle since it’s lined. The designs and colors are pretty and I typically buy 2 just in case a style I start to love is discontinued.

Was so excited to purchase my first front closing bra. Unfortunately I never found out how it fit because I could not get the closure to stay closed. I don’t know if it’s a defect, But as soon as I got it closed and started to move it would pop open.

So disappointed I didn’t get a chance to see how it felt to wear it. There’s got to be a better way to make a more secure a clasp. Women wearing a 44 DDD need something more secure. After trying for an hour to put it on and close it and having it repeatedly pop open there was no way I was ever going to wear this out in public.

I would be so embarrassed to have it break open in the middle of a meeting. If the clasp is redesigned I may give this a try again.

These mastectomy bras are the most comfortable that I’ve worn ever I’m now on my second lot of new ones. They look great under T-shirts with no lumps or bumps showing ever! I’ve been wearing this style for over 10 years and feel so great and confident wearing them all the time! The price is very reasonable too and Myer also give me a special receipt for my health fund so I can claim back on my extras! Can’t get any better than that!!.

This bra is lightly padded which makes excellent mastectomy bra. I have always had problem balancing both sides as I had 1 side of my breast removed. Its difficult to balance if i need to add the padding on one side and breast form on the other.

I purchased a small and a medium and kept the medium. Pre surgery I was 36DD post op I am around 36B three weeks post op replant surgery. This is very comfortable and provides comfortable compression and is a great price compared to the expensive surgical garment bras.

Which I have those as well. I purchased multiple so I could switch between laundering and this one is one of my favorites. Very comfortable at night since I have to sleep in a compression bra. Hook and eye closure are better than the zip ups I have those too.

After having breast cancer I have been having a hard time getting rid of some fluid at the surgery site. A very strong compression bra was recommend. I bought one which I though would do the trick but this one is unbelievable.

Really compresses and an added bonus is it covers the back fat because of the very wide back. It does give the appearance of a uni-bra but I don’t care. I purchased an X-large as I am a 42D and it fits great.

It was a little tight when I first put it on but now is very comfortable.

The bra was exactly what I was looking for after a breast reconstruction due to a mastectomy. The bra is very comfortable, gives really good support to breast and helps with posture. Very nice and high quality.

No wires, but the elastic at the bottom is all I need. Adjust to the skin and doesn’t roll up. I definitely reccomended product. I bought 2 more and exchanged a different item for an additional 2. Too bad it only comes in black and cocoa.

I had my BR done last week. I was given a compression bra by my doctor but I also bought this one myself. I find this one to be much more comfortable. The velcro straps are great as well as the 3 sets of closures at the front.

The only complaint is that the band keeps flipping up. It is a bit annoying as it is near my stitches are. A longer, more tank top like option would be good. The seams along the breast also make it look as though I am nipping out.

However, I am not concerned about this during my recovery. I will continue to wear it especially while sleeping and when at home for the next 6 months. I will look for an alternative when having to go out.

Bought these with a friend who underwent a double mastectomy and is waiting for reconstruction. She has temporary implants stitched to the muscles for support. These bras have been a lifesaver – she wears them 24 hours.

Soft, comfortable, and help support both tender skin and the implants so they don’t pull so much on the stitches. They will come in handy all the way through the reconstruction process, hopefully soon! Even better than the bras was the sweet, supportive, and compassionate service from the sales person.

This is my second post surgical bra and I am so pleased. After surgery I was so sensitive to almost anything on my skin but this bra was like putting on a cashmere sweater, incredibly soft. Was such a comfort during this trying time to remove the scratchy, incredibly tight bra they put on you after surgery and replace with this soft, supportive, comfortable bra from Soma.

I am so happy that my daughter introduced me to this bra!.

Bought this bra for my breast reduction recovery period. It’s not a bra I would recommend as a regular bra for the recovery, I bought it for breaks between the bulky ones you need to wear. The fabric is so soft and not noticeable under t shirts especially with the dip front.

Sometimes the band rises up which can irritate my stitches but I think this is because I needed a smaller size to get better support. The cups are also small, but because of swelling I’m sure this will fit better at some point.

I’m only in week 1 recovery so I think I will use this bra more when I’m not so sensitive.

The product does not fit properly. I immediately contacted the merchant and was told that I cannot return the item if I tried it on. As a consumer, there is no way to determine if the item fit unless I try it on.

I have an email thread with the contact person “Steve” who is making it extremely difficult for a return. Yet, he will exchange for another item if I tried it on. This is unacceptable on every level.

The item does not fit. It was ordered from a website, not inside a store. There is no way to know if an item fits unless its tried on. Will never purchase from this company again!.

Asked for sizing assistance and was told it should fit 40D. And nope not even close. Unfortunately thats the biggest size they have 2Xl and so I’ll have to find elsewhere

The top straps come off. They do nor stay tight. Please improve. Otherwise, rest of the beast is fine.

if you’re having any sort of chest surgery where you’re allowed to wear a back closing bra I highly recommend this. In fact, it’s so comfortable that I would probably recommend it for a regular, full coverage bra, when you want something really soft.

The most comfortable thing post-lumpectomy. You definitely need more than 1 of these! I thought I wouldn’t be able to sleep with clasps in the back but it’s no problem, and I think they’ll be helpful during radiation too.

The size chart said I’d be a small but medium is most comfortable for a 34 band and underarm incision. More colors would be nice but these 2 are great.

Feels like nothing is on, looks amazing, so soft. only WISH they had nude! I have two different size boobs and this bra fits like it was made just for me. Bought the Black after wearing the Rose a few times.

I loved it! Fits perfect , the inside is very smooth and I like that it has 2 hooks on the straps on the side and shoulders and 3 hooks on the strap . It’s worth the price.

I brought the adjustable surgical bra with removable band, but I wasted my money! The band was not working!

Having worn underwired bras for years I have never found (or imagined) that a non wired bra could give such support, comfort and shape. About to have surgery so purchased for that reason. Certainly the best fitting bra I have had for years & would recommend it to anyone.

A little snug fitting at the back but not enough to justify a bigger size.
