20 Best Plush Dog Toys For Aggressive Chewers (2023 Updated)

My Oscar, who is a miniature white poodle loves these little furry toys and he plays with them until they are unrecognizable. However, the good thing is that they tend to last a long long time. I was a little disappointed as they usually come 3 in a nice tidy clear plastic wrapping however, this time they were loose in the box with no packaging at all.

It was as if someone has opened a package and returned it and I got the open product but paid for it as new. I didn’t like this but the toys didn’t look dirty so I kept it. Chewy needs to do better with the packaging.

I personally like OPENING my products, not finding them already open in the bottom of a box. They weren’t even together in the bottom of the box, one was underneath the case of dog food, one was on the left and the other on the right.

Clearly, they were just thrown in the box as there is no way they had room to move around during shipping. There was brown paper stuffed on top to prevent anything from moving around. Better packaging is recommended Chewy even though the products are for pets!.

These dog toys are indestructible. I am on my fourth purchase only because my Golden has slobbered on them so much, even though I do wash them in the washing machine, I don’t like to touch them. The fur gets matted and I have to brush them like I brush him.

He has never destuffed them. Their tough!!! He has two right now that he plays with. When I gave him the new one, I gave him a choice, (old or new). He took the new LOL. Now he picks the first one he sees.

I would recommend the large size for any big dog. If more than one size is offered, they would be great for any dog that likes to chew or play keep away. By the way, they are also great to throw because they are soft, and if you are not a great aim, they are soft enough and may minimize damage.

I picked up both the ring and the ball in large for my two labradoodle rescue mixes. These guys tear into toys and when they saw these, the fun was on! They are super durable and the hair is short and tight, which is good for dogs that pull at hairy toys with their teeth.

This is an interactive toy for my guys, because left alone, they would eventually find a way to destroy it. This one (ball) is deep and plush and the squeaker is hard for them to get at, but they don’t really care as they love chasing it.

The Ring is just as large and has multiple squeakers inside that they loved and again, chasing it was their most enjoyable part. Only one downside and this applies to all toys: Still can’t understand why manufacturers haven’t figured out that by putting multiple tags and plastic ties into toys for dogs, or even cats, is just a waste, as the owners only have to spend time cutting all those out and off so the pet doesn’t choke on them.

Maybe some day they will figure out this is not designer clothing they are making!.

My Frenchie loves any and all GoDog toys! This one is a favorite and we’re actually on his second one. I love that these toys hold up to playing catch, dragged around, chewing/sucking on, and best of all come out clean in the washer and are easily dried in the dryer.

If an arm, leg, or tail starts to come off it’s easy to amputate because each is sewn on separately. I have sewn up holes he’s made and these toys last! We have tried other toys and never found another brand that was better.

They are pricey sometimes but so worth it.

This is the only fabric toy I have gotten my dog that lasts more than a week or two. My bluetick coonhound loves to rip up his toys and pull out the squeaker usually within a few days. The first time I got this dragon toy, it lasted the longest of all his toys (about 3-4 weeks before the squeaker came out), and he still enjoyed playing with it and chewing on it even after the squeaker was gone.

I got him a second one in July and it has kept its squeaker and stayed in great condition (minus a couple legs and part of his head) over 4 MONTHS later. I’m astounded! He picks it up and plays with it regularly, he just loves making it squeak because it has a more powerful and firm squeaker than most toys.

The fabric is so durable that it withstands quite a lot of his strong chewing. I think he likes the toy so much he has preserved it well on purpose!.

It’s rated 4 stars for amusement and would be good for a dog who is gentle with plushies. The plushie will only last so long for my ESS. He loves this plushie so much that he will gut it in 6 seconds.

I have (willingly, lol) bought several of these skinny dragons over the past year, replacing each one as he destroys them. It’s an indulgence for him. The toy initially lasted for about a month or two, but as he got adept at locating the squeaker, they did not last long.

There was one time where he gutted the dragon in 6 seconds – got that squeaker and it was a dead dragon. I took a break from buying him plushies then. But he also got more surgical in his gutting of the dragons.

Only the section where the squeaker is located is torn apart. I just sew the dragon back up – no squeaker but still works as a toy. Of course he began to associate my car with having dragons in it as he now checks my car to see if there are any new dragons lurking about.

I keep the replacement dragon in the car until the old one would be totally destroyed. His current old dragon is now missing a wing. I already have a replacement dragon ready for him. Yes, the dog has cost me plenty in skinny dragons, but it’s my indulgence for the dog.

My dog kills me with this toy… he just loves it so much. 🥺 He’s an extremely gentle dog and not at all destructive, but he knows his toys are there for him to do his worst with, and he’ll eventually get the squeakers out and tear them apart no matter what.

That being said, his Hedgehogz always last him a really long time and, until he finally “kills” them, they are his most prized possession. He cuddles up to his Hedgey and, no matter how many other toys or treats or bones he has at the time, it’s always the toy he grabs and trots around with when we come home – so we know it’s his favourite thing.

GoDo plush – the quilted and the velveteen are my go to toys. My rescue tore up everything and he couldn’t tear these toys up. Pup two Golden was a brutal chewer. When I bought toys for her that she didn’t chew through, I started buying a couple and hiding so she’d have one in case she buried it or it got so nasty – sometimes an ear came off, but rare.

The puppy tore a little flying pig apart one day and after that I took all her toys and balls away for a week. With no more toys, she, I guess figured out no toys isn’t fun. Anyway, as you can tell I’m a huge supporter of GoDog toys.

I mean super strong toys and when they’re on sale, buy a couple of extra if you have multiple dogs. They wash well and you can put in dryer or air dry. Best plush toys around. Seriously!.

My dog has ripped every toy she owns to shreds. It is inevitable. No toy has lasted 24 hours without the squeaker being removed and the poor creature completely disemboweled. Is this toy indestructible? No.

But I have yet to find a toy that is, despite trying MANY. This toy is a winner in my opinion and so far I have bought it 5 times for my girl to destroy. First of all, the squeaker is LARGE so I do not worry about her swallowing it.

Of course, I still supervise her so she doesn’t tear up the squeaker and swallow, but I feel comfortable watching TV or reading a book while she works on it. I know she can’t sneakily swallow like she has tried with smaller squeakers.

Secondly, although my dog is great at finding points of weakness (the seams), the rest of the toy is sturdy. In fact, she is quite content to carry around the dragon’s carcass months after removing the stuffing.

It has held its shape rather well, and it seems the fabric is very durable, only the seams are not. If your dog is a chronic toy destroyer, I highly recommend this brand (especially the dragons). The peace of mind from the huge (single) squeaker is so worth it.

And they’re pretty darn cute, too.

Great toy, made well, dogs love it, and I’m comfortable and confident with it. I have black Labradors – a retired service dog, and my current working dog. The currently working guy is just about to turn 5 years old, and has had and has loved the Go Dog toys his whole life (particularly this winged dragon version that is light on stuffing, and includes an a-typical, large, puncture resistant, long lasting squeaker).

He carries them around in his mouth, and they are just durable enough to withstand both his “quiet time” activity of sucking and softly teething the toy, and can also stand up to a decent amount of “catch & shake” when he and our other dog have The Zoomies and are running the toy around the house and tossing it back and forth between each other.

It holds up to a bit of “tug” between the 2 dogs as well (mostly because it’s well put together and there’s not very much stuffing in it too rip apart easily) but I have to give the caveat that they treat this toy a bit better than other, less sophisticated, highly stuffed toys – it is my service dog’s “favourite” toy, and our other dog does have a bit of respect for that (as my SD has respect for her favorite stuffed animal toy that she sleeps with every night, and they are also more careful not to destroy like they might any other “regular” toy) TL;DR: definitely a Favourite toy for our Labradors, and is designed to be more durable than most “plan-old stuffed animals” – while still being interesting and more entertaining than the toys with no stuffing and no (or easily breakable) squeakers.

I really like that this is a favorite toy, and still one I don’t have to watch too closely, worrying that the dogs might eat a large amount of stuffing, or one of those small round squeakers. Great toy, made well, dogs love it, and I’m comfortable and confident with it.

I discovered this toy, along with the duck a little over a year ago. My small Chihuahua and my neighbor’s small Chihuahua love them! (Wish the dogs would play with each other) They run around and throw them up in the air.

Both chihuahuas didn’t know how to play before we got this toy. Yes, they can get destroyed pretty quickly but that is to be expected with any Chew toy for a dog. I tried other toys with little success.

I got this little bear about five years ago just to fulfill a free shipping promotion, and it’s lasted this entire time. The first squeaker just gave its last squeak within the past week. My first dog didn’t really like playing with it (i think it was too small for her, Jack Russell terrier) but she passed away and the dog it was handed down to LOVES it and likes carrying it around on walks.

I am planning to buy her another one soon because the one she has now is getting kind of rotten and pathetic looking, but it could easily last a lot longer if you put a replacement squeaker in and didn’t mind the pathetic appearance.

Overall, considering this little bear has lasted through two dogs’ lives, this toy is a real keeper.

So I bought this not knowing the size of it. I really just added it for free shipping & figured I’d give it to our 30 lb Mini Aussie. That was months ago. This thing has been the subject of so much tug o war between him & our standard Aussie.

They are obsessed with this little bear. They destroy squeakers within minutes & our standard destroys everything he gets his paws on. But this toy (we affectionately call him Baby Bear) still squeaks & lives on to this day.

I have a medium sized male Australian Shepherd. He absolutely loves this toy! He loves playing fetch so as long as you throw this toy he will bring it back. He loves squeaker, so that’s a plus. What’s great about this toy is that he can chew and play with it as long as he wants and he won’t disturb anyone else.

Only he can hear the squeaker. It’s a great toy for those who work from home and need some quiet time. I will definitely get more in the future. My dogs love this toy.

This is such an adorable little stuffed duck with bear ears. The size is perfect for my dog. My dog is mighty tough on stuffed toys and I was excited to put this to the test. My dog, Echo, really enjoyed playing with this duck.

He flipped it around and shook it, loving every minute. But it was no surprise that it didn’t hold up. On day two, he tore right into it, leaving a tear in the neck. This was a really fun toy for a short time.

I don’t recommend this for tough playing dogs.

On a good note-the dogs LOVED it!! I definitely couldn’t hear the squeeker, but I think my dogs did because I squeezed it a few times and on cue they sat and waited for me to throw it. And when I did, oh boy! They went to town! They had that thing destroyed in under five minutes.

Assuming they do this to get to the squeaker, or they’re just savages. I don’t know. It took me longer to clean up the aftermath than it did for them to rip all the guts out. But now they have an empty stuffie to carry around so I guess it’s a good thing.

I have a pitbull who normally chews up squeaky toys in 2 minutes flat. This toy is holding up 2 weeks later still. No tears or rips, just looks well loved. Squeaker still totally functional. She plays with it constantly and even brings it to bed with her.

My 13-year-old dog’s most favorite of all time toy- The first one I bought 4 years ago is still going strong, just a small tear in the tail, which was fixed- and no nose! But I’m not taking any chances of disappointing him, so I’m buying a spare, while they are still available.

Up until Mr. Armadillo he had no interest in fetching, now he is speed racer, with the biggest smile.

My miniature schnauzer Milo is a toy destroyer! No matter what I buy or how much money I spend he always seems to destroy within a day! Finally I have a winner! The Trusty Pup brand really lives up to it’s reputation.

Milo has tried his best to chew and destroy this cute little dragon without success! Looks like this toy is here to stay. I will be filling Milo’s toy basket with Trusty Pup toys.

These are a good durable toy for dogs. We’ve bought other godog toys over the years and our dog still has them. The squeaker no longer works as my dog has already killed the squeaker on his newest godog toy, but that’s just how he is.

Keeping this in mind, every dog is different on how much they play with toys and how much they like to chew. Would definitely buy another godog toy again.

These toys hold up to the assaults of our 2 1/2 year old,99 lb. golden retriever and his 7 year old mom. When he sets his mind to it, no toy can survive long. GoDog brand toys survive longer than most.

Strangely the mini versions last longer. All sizes wear well.

We had previously ordered a smaller size of a Go Dog toy with Chew Guard, and it only lasted a day because our dog is an aggressive chewer. This particular Go Dog has survived the aggressive chewing by our dog, and he still plays and sleeps with this particular toy.

My dog love’s it!! He love’s anything that squeaks and that he can tear apart! We take great pleasure in playing with him, we throw sleepy Joe and my pup will go and get him, he likes to play tug of war with him.

Joe is very well made and very durable. Joe doesn’t say much just a squeak here and there, which we prefer. He’s better then the real Joe. We love our dog even though he acts like a Democrat we had to get it for him.

My 74 lb Pit/Lab mix loved it as soon as he got it. His whole face lit up and he was soooo excited. Unfortunately, the squeaker was dead within 10 minutes. The fabric appears to be pretty durable, but as soon as the squeaker no longer worked, my pooch lost all interest.

Now, he picks it up every once in a while, bites down, no squeak, and just drops it. I figured if ANY manufacturer would made a durable squeaker, it would have been KONG. Unfortunately, they didn’t. :(.

I purchased three stuffed toys for our new puppy and the big roasted bone. Since she is a giant size Great Pyrenees but just 6 months old she can tear just about anything to shreds in minutes. So we supervise all the time with these soft toys.

She loves them but I decided to give her one at a time until she destroys it, then I’ll give her another one. So far she has been a good girl and she loves the sound it makes. As far as the roasted bone goes it is her new best friend and she Absolutely Loves it.

Our dogs love to sit in the big bay window and watch the squirrels outside. They love to chase them in the yard also, so I’m typically on the hunt for toys that resemble their favorite critters, but are safe for them to play with! This plush squirrel is so cute and perfectly made.

This is such a cute little toy and whoever came up with the idea for the action plus line is a GENIUS! These toys are highly interactive for the pup and he just loves making the squirrels tail move. It does squeak, but not in an annoying high pitched way, which I definitely appreciate! The quality of this toy is amazing! It’s very well made and doesn’t feel cheap or like my dog will destroy it within 24 hours.

My energetic boxer dogs are all about stuffed animals and when they include anything with noise they flip! When you squeeze it’s belly the tail moves and a cute sound is made. Whenever my dogs hear the sound they turn their heads with confusion.

So far it’s held up well and the tail and feet have held up without being chewed off which says a lot. Great little toy!!.

Great size for a medium dog that is around 30-50lbs. The inside is a bit tougher which hopefully will hold up. It also has a squeaker in it too and is not loud either. Though the squeaker died from being played with in about 10 minutes.

I just received this in the mail today and I’m in LOVE! It’s so cute and I love that my boy, Jack, can get multiple little toys out of it as he inevitably tears through the layers. The one thing I will say is that the little black spikes are foam and easily are ripped off, which Jack immediately did of course.

i bought this months ago for my Pit. he loves to so much, just recently he started getting to the ball, just not revealing the layers because he loves the arms to the toy. i just decided today since it’s lasted so long i would get a new one for him when his first one is a goner.

I bought this pig solely to get my order up to the minimum order amount, as I was 1 cent short. I’m sure glad I did. The second I pulled it out of the box, my GSD tried to grab it from me. He almost didn’t let me get the tag off it! I was worried it would be too small for him.

It’s about the size of a tennis ball. But he loves it. He did immediately chew the ears and tail off, but I didn’t expect anything different from him. This definitely wouldn’t stand up to heavy chewers for long, but is otherwise a great toy.

Ordered these for a second time online since the dogs love them – easy to chew without damaging their teeth. The problem is that the second time ordered they were not in packaging – it looked like the two necks were packaged with others in an unmarked plastic bag and one of the packers tore it open to possibly remove the others leaving it in a torn bag.

There was nothing actually wrapping the necks themselves. Similar to what you see in open bins at the pet store. I expected more than that, and during a pandemic not sure why they thought any type of item like that would be acceptable to ship without being wrapped to protect from contamination.

Kong is one of the only brands that offers XS toys that are tiny enough for my little chihuahuas mouths to play with easily. I have all of Kong’s other series but just saw this “phatz” on Target and it did not disappoint! Cute tiny little piglet!! I hope Target will add the other characters from Kong from the “phatz” line-up because I’m having trouble locating them anywhere in the XS size 🙁 The leather material seems more durable for people that have heavy chewers.

This little guy is an absolute cutie. Well, they all are, but this one’s a miniature. And satiny soft, yet tough as nails. I don’t know what this “chew guard technology” consists of but it’s foolproof.

My dogs love to gnaw, bite, play tug of war, squeak squeakers endlessly til they squeak no more, and it’s my Rottweiler’s mission in life to rip and tear the stuffing out of anything that’s stuffed. But this little guy came through all that torment unscathed.

Try as he might, Okee couldn’t get a seam to split, a tooth to puncture or an arm or leg to dislodge. After about a month and a half of extreme effort, I think Okee got exasperated and gave up. The mini toy (not super mini mind you) was a little worse for wear; his ear had ripped a little, he was caked with slobber and dirty as all get out, but other than that I’d almost claim a miracle.

The only negative thing I can come up with is the toy might be a bit small, even for my Silky Terrier who much prefers big ‘ole Skinny Pig. My dogs seemed to tire of the little guy even though they were – and still are – enthralled with the larger sized toys.

They seemed to have just lost interest. Maybe because the squeakers no longer squeaked, I dunno. My advice? GET THESE TOYS FOR YOUR DOGS. They’re more than reasonably priced for what they are, they’re machine washable, and wash well, too, my dogs have hours of fun with them, they entertain the animals endlessly, in fact my dogs even use them as pillows.

Well, maybe not the mini. But if you do get some, your dogs will love you forever even longer, and you’ll be patting yourself on the back for making your furbabies so happy. I think I’ll put mini horse on a shelf to be admired, he’s that darn cute!.

I got this for my neighbor’s yellow-lab- admittedly he may be too big for such a toy. But he LOVES it. The material is very sturdy, and I like that there are the legs and body- it makes it easier to grab the toy from the dog’s mouth, but also minimizes getting your hands all slobbered up during a game of fetch.

The squeeker inside the toy is not the best, but I see this as an advantage, as this dog is obsessed with the squeek and will do whatever it takes to rip the toy apart if the squeeker is really loud and consistent.

That it is not in this toy also makes it not annoying to us humans. While the material is sturdy, I would not recommend this if you have two large dogs who enjoy tug-a-war. We tested out just how durable the toy is to being ripped apart, and it took a teenager and a large yellow lab about 30 minutes of off/on (mostly on) tug-a-war before the head fell off.

That said, we stitched the body up sans head and the dog still loves this toy.
