20 Best Plug In Air Freshener For Home (2023 Updated)

I don’t usually take time to review products, but I rely on this one so frequently that I felt I had to share my experience with it. The Wood air freshener scent is a very natural, non-sweet, non-detergent, calming, interesting smelling air freshener.

Since it’s made by Febreeze, I recently had the courage to break away from my tried and true wood scent and try others in the same line, but bleh! Bamboo, Clean Breeze – the scratch and smell on the package smelled okay, but the long term result was intolerable.

After just a few hours, I had to get the other scents away from me. They literally gave me a headache! Wood is an air freshener scent for people who want to have a subtle, pleasant, kind of “comforting” smell in their living environment.

It’s as natural and quiet as the smell of lemon, though very different. It’s probably the only one I’ll get for life, unless the manufacturers of this air freshener brand create another one this unassuming.

Wow, truly impressed with this Glade Plugins Scented Oil Plus and its many great features! Firstly, what’s convenient is that you can orient the plug prongs on the unit so that it can fit plugs that may be sideways on the wall, since the unit should always be upright.

Amazing! You can also adjust the fragrance setting to your liking. I personally like to keep things on the low side so that I get just a hint of fragrance. There’s also a switch on it that allows you to choose to have the unit shut off the emitting for 8 hours that you only need to set once! Genius, because (in my case) who needs it to be emitting fragrance when everyone’s asleep? The unit also has a calming LED night light.

It not only gives light in the night but the light can tell you all sorts of things like when the fragrance is getting low, when it’s on its rest cycle, and it will completely turn off when the fragrance is empty.

The Lavender and Aloe scent is very soothing and easy on the nose. It provides a nice clean fragrance that’s very fresh and inviting. Can’t wait to try other scents!.

This is one of my first times ever seeing this new glade plus starter kit. I love trying new things for home fragrance. One of my favourite scents are lavender, and this plugin is truly one of the most amazing lavender scents.

It’s the perfect fragrance for any area of my home, but mostly importantly, it’s a beautiful addition to my bedroom. Usually I have quite a sensitive nose, and my daughter is also autistic with sensory scent issues.

This product doesn’t bother anybody in my house and that is the biggest benefit for me. I love the scratch and sniff option on the back of the packaging. The overall look of this product packaging is gorgeous.

Out of all plug in scent options, I would pick this one just because of the packaging alone. I find it incredible that there is a rest cycle and that isn’t always running. I will be using this product for many years to come, especially in this lavender scent.

This review was collected as part of a promotion, and the opinions are my own. I was recently given the opportunity to try Glade PlugIns Plus Warmer, with the new Smart Light Technology. The scent included with my warmer was Hawaiian Breeze.

That new Smart Light Technology is a nice addition for those of us who like nightlights! It’s just a soft glow, to take away that sensation you get from a totally darkened room. I don’t like total darkness, nor do I like lights on.

The glow from this warmer is just enough to make me happy. It’s probably not going to light the way to the bathroom, for a child though. This warmer also has an option to not disperse scent at night.

I rather like that option, a lot! I don’t mind a strong heavy scent when I am doing things throughout the day, and doors are being opened and closed, but at night it can be overpowering. Even used on the lowest scent dispersion setting.

There is an option to only have the warmer heating for 16 hours a day, instead of constant on. This will stop me from waking up and wondering what that smell is. It’s happened more times than I really want to say! LOL.

As for the Hawaiian Breeze oil refil that came with my warmer, it’s a nice scent. The picture on the package shows flowers, but I smell a touch of fruitiness, with some pineapple. It’s definitely a scent I will buy again.

I have been using plug-ins for years. I do love clean linen and sheer vanilla embrace. The Hawaiian one, although I love how it smells when I have smelled it in other people’s homes, it gives me a headache.

Way to strong initially. However, regardless of the scent, I always change after a month or so because I can no longer smell it after awhile. Frustrating to me. Am I the only one? But it still hasn’t deterred me from continuing to buy them.

This is the first time I have purchased the Glade brand in the Cinnamon Apple flavor and man oh man I am so happy I did! We have a ranch style, elongated house and I plugged one into an outlet in our receiving room which is in the front part of the house and we could smell it down the hallway when we came out of our bedrooms.

It is not at all over powering. It is a very pleasant, noticeably, soft scent but definitely there. I will be buying this scent again every year starting in the fall!.

I have recently returned to using this type freshener because it’s more economical than the can type!! I have a large house, so I go through them very quickly!! I wish they came in a larger size to eliminate waste! I have allergies and these don’t irritate me like some do!.

GaG!! I notice many people write reviews based on a free product or simply state how they use it. Reviews SHOULD describe the product itself. Air Wick Plug in Scented oil Lavender Chamomile smells like your grandparents moth-ball infused toiletry/linen cabinet! Not one hint of lavender.

I notice on their products they state that they work with craft perfumers in developing their scents. Well, either they all have allergies, suffered from Covid w/irreversible damages or literally have worked in a factory perfuming scented diapers, they can no longer tell the difference of what a welcoming scent SHOULD be.

No essential oils, not a trace. The scent is sOoo bad it actually stick on the back of your tongue. That’s the “mothball” pharmacy touch. Big PASS!!! This is going on amazon as well!.

What is this garbage I just bought??? They changed something for the WORSE…. and it’s nothing like it use to be… which WAS amazing & natural. Now. ,I don’t even know, best I can describe is what a truck stop bathroom might smell like when a chemical filled air freshener is attempting to mask some other wretched smell.

 I’ve been buying this scent for YEARS! It’s the only one I will buy. Well, not anymore. I did actually find one from air wick that I absolutely love, if not more than the old lavender one. But it’s super hard to find, they are always out of it and I am trying to not get too excited about it, cause I’m pretty sure eventually they will probably just change it or take it off the market completely.

It’s the Blue Agave scent. But don’t buy it…. cause then I won’t be able to. *wink.

I have a love-hate relationship with these. I love that they are in glass because to me it gives it a little more elegance then the plastic kind, however, the glass on these is so heavy that in some of my plugs they fall right out.

That’s the only reason I’m giving a 4-star. The unit itself has a pretty design that fits any decore, and a lot of their fragrances smell really good. I’ve only come across a couple that I felt smelled awful.

Every plug in my house just about is filled with these. I definitely recommend you try it. I’m sure you’ll love it and won’t be able to stop yourself from stopping and breathing in the aromas. Now, if only they came in a honeysuckle scent, I would be in heaven.

Better than expected. At first the scent was seeming too strong when I had just connected it. Then as the day went by it spread through the room. I did lower it to the second Lil droplet it was on the furthest in the beginning.

After that it was the perfect amount of scent that smelled like clean. Soapy smell. Smells nice.

After having tried so. many. different. deodorizers for my cats’ litter box, ScentFill products finally worked! And it hasn’t put the cats off their litter box at all! I was hopeful, but not optimistic.

I have been so pleasantly surprised!.

I love these refills. The apple cinnamon scent it gives off is just enough to make you wonder if there was something good baking, but not so strong that you have to hold your breath. Some brands overdo it with the cinnamon.

These are just right and I actually prefer them to the Glade Apple Pie air fresheners. This reminds me more of home and everyone pitching in to bake up a storm for the holidays. I keep one plugged in my kitchen and another just outside the entrance so that I can have that kind of warm feeling year round.

It really is a soothing and inviting scent. Highly Recommend!.

I love the Glade plugins and have always used the Sheer Vanilla Embrace scent in our house. It last for a long time and can be as strong or light of a scent as you choose. For the price, it goes a long way and we are big fans of Glade’s plug ins.

The only con for me is the scent itself. I love the Vanilla and thought I would love this but the smell reminds me of the standard liquid soap used at stadiums, airports, etc. It is not a bad smell, it is just not for me.

Overall, however, it is a wonderful product.

I am so happy I choose this scent. It is a wonderful fruity smelling scent, and it truly smells fantastic. It has a hint of pink papaya with a main vanilla scent. The warmer its self functions great, and it truly filled the whole house with the scent.

I like the fact it has several settings, to choose just how fragrant you want it to be. For example, sometimes i want to cover the dirty diaper smell from my toddler’s most recent diaper, but other times i have a headache, and do not want to be overwhelmed by scents that make it worse.

I thought it was nicely packaged as well. It’s easy to open, and i like the fact that each bottle of oil has a screw cap on it, to ensure there are no leaks when storing. However, if you unplug the warmer and lay it on it’s side or upside-down it will leak, just so you know.

Overall a great product though, i’m excited to try new scents in the future.

I purchased this new scent from airwick (Vanilla and Pink Papaya) on a whim a few weeks ago. I needed to replace the the air freshener in my mudroom and my son’s bedroom. My son is very active in sports so his room usually smells like musty sweat.

I will not even go into the smell of our mudroom as it houses everyone’s shoes. I am blown away by the smell of this air freshener. It smells so beautiful and just fills my whole house with fragrance.

My mud room and son’s room both smell amazing. I just LOVE this scent and it has become my new go to scent.

These are way better then alternative brands I have used. I am not sure what took me so long to finally bite the bullet and use these. They smell amazing. I kept asking my daughter if she sprayed someone one day before I realized it was just the wonderful smell of these.

If I put something in my home I would like to smell it too and these you def. do. I would highly recommend. They cover up my small children smell haha.

I’ve become a forever loyal consumer of AirWick Plug-in since summer 2009. My go to scent is Fresh Waters. Neutral. Crisp & Clean. A scent to be remembered when a newbie is in-store finding so many other options and unsure what to buy.

My friends have asked what I use that is memorable and makes such an impression. Fresh waters is the beginning scent. It can be added to , like layers, each room or area can be cohesive by building off of a base scent.

I recently purchased this scent and I have to say that I am impressed. It smells as though you’ve just taken a nice long warm bath and the scent of the shower is just lingering on. I seriously was not expecting it to smell this good and soothing.

It is strong but not overpowering, it’s just a lovely scent. I love walking in my house to this scent I get excited. Again guys it is not your typical vanilla scent, I thought it would be as well it is not.

That brown sugar and whatever chemistry that is used to make this definitely enhanced it and gives it a kick. I’m definitely stocking up before they discontinue this. If executives are reading this DONT, IT IS BOMB!.

Oh my this is the BEST smell! I love it please don’t discontinue this item. This is my very favorite scent now. It smells like being at Grandma’s house its strong but not OMGosh I can’t breathe kind of smell.

You can smell it thru out the house. Try it you’ll love it. The hit of the brown sugar is so sweet with the vanilla.

I really enjoyed the AirWick plug in starter kit. I received apple cinnamon and boy. does it smell so good! What I liked most about this product is that it has five different settings on it for the dispenser to release the scent.

He starter kit comes with three refills and the dispenser. What is awesome is that if you have this on low setting, one of the refills will last for 60 days! Now, that’s a pretty long time. The scent takes you to the caribbean.

Smells so good! A great product to own and have. You can put it just about anywhere you have an outlet. Bathroom, kitchen, living room, dining room, bedroom, etc. Put one in every room and the scent of apple cinnamon will be covered in your household.

I cannot emphasize enough how much I LOVE this Air Wick Essential Mist Diffuser! I’ve been looking for something to put in my bathroom to help cover up litter box smells but due to my weird electrical outlets plug ins aren’t an option reed diffusers didn’t do much and/or quickly dried out.

This diffuser runs on batteries which makes it perfect for me! I also like that there are 3 intensity settings and the 8hr/16hr on/off timer is a great feature but I still manually turn mine on off each day to try to preserve the batteries.

And the included almond blossom oil smells SO GOOD! Like I would seriously wear that scent as a body lotion or body spray or body wash if it was available! My only hiccup was it didn’t seem to be working at first and I had to troubleshoot the problem.

I could see the blue light come on but no mist was coming out. Set up was super easy and even though I heard the ‘click’ as instructed when installing the oil cartridge apparently I didn’t push it up far enough to reach whatever is activating the mist.

Once I did that it worked great! Other people/reviews who said theirs didn’t work might have been having the same issue. ??.

This little air freshener is small and unassuming but substantial. It doesn’t feel like it would fall over with most noises. However, the bottom has two of the tiniest screws I have ever seen keeping the thing together.

I had to use fingernail clippers/file to unscrew them. Why not just use the standard snap on cover?? Added three batteries and the vile and popped it back together. I didn’t even need to replace the screws as it just stayed together.

I placed it up on top of a medicine chest so it won’t get knocked over. The best thing I like about this as compared to other similar items by other brands is this produces just a puff and it goes straight UP not outward where it would blast you in the face should you walk by at the wrong time.

I recommend it for sure but those screws need to go.

I bought this AIRWICK Essential Mist Starter Kit in scent Lavender and Almond Blossom that came with a refill then bought an extra refill with an AIRWICK Coupon from TARGET! There was only one other scent choice and it was out of stock! This scent is by far not my fave yet it is effective! I use it for the commode in bathroom! It refreshens and makes bugs stay away! The electronic battery diffuser is easy to use like to assemble and disassemble! It lasts long and is budget friendly! There is a time releasement feature on the diffuser so it is hassle free! It is great for individuals at times that may be sensitive! There is also a blue light feature for easy detectable scent releasement! There should be more scent choices! It is effective for running on its own and refrshening the room! Recommend!.

Sister gave me this brand a few months ago. I had always purchased BBWorks. I was never satisfied with their scents but I wasn’t aware of other products. I’m not savvy with the computer but I certainly learned quickly how to place an order to your fabulous company.

The scents are amazing. My only regret is not having been introduced to these products before this, but it’s better late than never. Love your products and will be your newest best friend. Your customer service is great and so prompt.

I have been ordering these for quite a while now and find that the aroma, especially from the natural line, are like no other. Exquisite and long lasting, can rádiate and stay in a small room without being perfumey or over powering.

I buy then in bunches and do not want to run out. Truly my favorite, however, having said that , I have noticed a recent change in quality or longevity. One used to last me like almost a month , and at the higher setting.

Lately they aré burning through within in a week and a half. It’s more watered down now. It’s a shame since these are pricey and yet have maintained a steady following. Hoping this tactic is reconsidered because other wise it’s equivalent to getting a glade or air wick brand with less cost and no shipping expense.

First things first, I love how these products are all natural. That alone makes me feel comfortable having them all around my home. I’m obsessed with all things Cherry Almond, and this scent doesn’t disappoint! I had to turn down the strength on the diffuser because the scent was a little strong, but in a good way.

A little does go a long way with this scent. I’ve had it for about 2 weeks now and you can’t even tell I’ve been using it, as the level still looks about the same as when I got it, but the cherry notes flowing throughout my living room are fabulous! I’m a new time user and was a little disappointed when some of the product had leaked into the cap during shipping, so I reached out to a representative and they advised me to leave the refills upright for 10 minutes before opening to allow the liquid to soak back into the wick, so I hope that helps if anyone has been having that issue!.

Disclaimer- This review is also listed in the reviews for the navy plug but with some changes – I have bought the adjustable plugs in white, pink and most recently, navy. I love the color pink and most of my wallflower plugs are pink.

However, I recommend the navy or another dark color if it matches your decor. The reason for this is that no matter how much you clean the top, it will discolor. The plastic will look burned and turn brown from the oil.

The darker colors hide this inevitability. Maybe if you never use them on medium or high, you can prevent this, but all of mine have done this. The adjustable plugs work better in my opinion than the regular ones do, for sure.

However, all wallflower plugs feature a decorative dome with holes that are supposed to allow the oil to escape. They are held up by 4 small columns inside the divice, which you can see if you look through the holes at an angle.

The problem is, that when the oil from the wallflower heats up, much of it gets trapped inside the device and in and around these columns and the dome. Much of the fragrance is lost because of this, never reaching the top and leaving the dome.

Because like attracts like, as time goes on more oil is attracted to the buildup. I wish that the wallflower plugs could be redesigned to have open tops where the wick to the fragrance bulb is exposed.

That way as it heats up, all oil will be dispersed as it should. Right now I had Gingham Love in an adjustable plug on high and could not smell it. I took it out and the vapor immediately started to flow from the hot bulb and I could smell it.

Keep in mind that some perfume like scents actually become completely scentless on high- it is as if it burns away the fragrance! For the most part these do work better and they are what I use, but I am hoping that they continue to improve.

I love collecting BBW unique wallflower nightlights but being a gourmand scent lover the vanilla in those scents will make a perfectly new wallflower stained within a month. That’s why I love Halloween plugs so much since most have a black base on plug so I can relax burning any delicious gourmand scent.

Same goes for this little black plug- although it’s not eye catching at least it’ll never show any sign of those unsightly brown oil stains! And for that alone it deserves ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!!! I really hope BBW can figure out how to make these very pricey gorgeous plugs so that the oils don’t stain them! Now that would make the price of them a lot easier to swallow! BBW hear my plea.

I received the sage color adjustable plug and Laundry Day wallflower during a promotion. Firstly, Kudos to BBW for the promotion to give customers an opportunity to try the product out. I immediately set up the new plug and wallflower and very pleased.

The high setting will bring “low throw wallflowers” back to life that I have in my collection. It’s very easy to operate, press button on the left hand side to select your intensity level. The only thing that would make this plug better is if it were a nightlight.

Almost every plug that I purchase is a nightlight, which I would appreciate if those could be day/night sensored. Meaning, during daylight hours the light goes off. Anywho- the new plug is definitely worth the purchase AND laundry Day wallflower.
