20 Best Pizza Stone For Big Green Egg (2023 Updated)

My previous pizza stone cracked so I picked up the KJ one and have done several cooks with it. Works great. Timely request for feedback, just made 4 pizza’s last night. I live in Sarasota, FL, came here from CT, the home of Pepe’s and Salli’s apizza.

My KJ let’s me get the crust to a close approximation of what I was used to back in CT. If you like pizza and have a KJ, this pizza stone should be a staple in your arsenal. I gave design 4 stars because I’d like the stone to be a bit larger.

When you’ve got this pizza stone and the best homemade pizza you’ll never want to order in again! Thin and crispy edges, that smoky pizza oven taste, ready in just a few short minutes all from the convenience of your home.

Looks like the same material the deflector plates are made of, so with proper care should last a long time. It got the pizza cooked in about 7 minutes at 500 degrees F. Nice crispy crust and hot all the way through.

No extra charge for shipping, and the stone was the same price I saw at other sites that charged for shipping. And I got the package exactly when they said it would arrive. Good job!! Highly recommended!!.

Pretty unsatisfied. Instructions state not to add any non stick spray as natural oils will prevent sticking. Cooked 3 pizzas. All stick to the point pizza is ruined.

Right on time as a gift for Christmas. I received a picture the following day with pizza cooked on the stone that looked and according to my son, tasted, amazing. I’m so happy I was able to order this from TSC and receive it in time for Christmas.

Overall, I would give this glazed baking stone an 8/10. Personally, I think the idea of using the grill for baking cookies or making a home-made pizza is a great idea. In practice, though, I don’t know if I’ll personally get as much use out of it as others will.

Second, while some of the other items you can place on the wire frame kit are visually appealing, this baking stone is pretty average from a visual standpoint. It does, however, fit flush on the wire frame kit, as intended.

I baked a home-made pizza on this, and the other downside I would say is that you have to be careful with how wide you make your pizza since it probably only holds the size of a pizza that’s in between the standard size for a medium and a large.

That being said, its performance was great. The pizza came out wonderful and I did not have any issues with the pizza sticking to the stone. Due to functionality, price, and visuals, I would limit this to an 8/10.

What a game-changer, I love cooking pizza in my oven on our pizza stone but this one fits perfectly in the grill and works so much better. It gives the pizza a better taste and it cooks really fast. The ability to cook on a stone that’s up to temp is so important, and this inside the grill was perfect.

I would highly recommend for anyone thinking about doing some grilled pizza ! My wife also had a blast using it trying to bake some of her fav items on it. It took a little to learn because its a tad different than in the oven but she caught on quick and was able to make some great food! This baking stone proved to be incredibly useful for both myself and my wife.

It’s a WIN-WIN and a must-have!.

Received the pizza stone for Fathers Day! Pizza is a tradition for us and we love trying different places and home making experiences. It was fun to set up and cook with and the pizza tasted great. Waited until the next day to clean so that it was completely cooled off.

Unfortunately it did not come clean using papertowl and warm dishsoap water. If there are any tips out there on cleaning that would be appreciated. It looks all stained and charred. Would recommend as long as you are comfortable with it not looking clean.

I first reviewed this product in 2014, and my opinion is unchanged. I have been using it at least once a week since then. In 2015, I think it was, I managed to drop and break it whil putting it away.

It broke into two large pieces, so I decided to put it back together using JB Weld. I have been using it ever since. I’ve baked pizzas on it, including store bought ones whose instructions say not to use a stone, and have never been disappointed.

Mostly I bake breads and some pastries on it or use it to maintain even temperatures while using the oven. It is old, stained, and well used and I would not take a new one in exchange for it.

We got these to put in our half size oven for warming pizza and they make the biggest difference. The crust comes out crispy and they keep the oven warmer without having to constantly have the oven heating.

Great for cookies and pastries too!.

I’ve never had a pizza stone and was anxious to use it. Very heavy. I love making homemade pizza and was excited to see how it worked. The instructions only say to put the stone in cold oven and put frozen pizza on it.

So I decided to try it using homemade pizza. I didn’t put any non stick spray on as I was unsure if it’d work. It also says do not cut on this. I was confused as to why get a pizza stone if you can only bake frozen pizza on it and you can’t cut on it either.

It does bake frozen pizza good.

My family have enjoyed using this pizza stone to make our own homemade pizzas. Our pizzas come out perfect everytime. Nice crispy crust, doughy middle and melted cheese. It’s amazing how the stone cooked everything evenly.

This has been a game changer, i will never made boxed pizza again. 100% recommend!.

I’ve used this Honey-Can-Do Round Pizza Stone Natural for both store bought pizza and homemade pizza. It works great for both. The natural stone allows my pizza to cook evenly. I can get my crust exactly how I like it.

If I get sauce on my stone, I clean it quickly so it doesn’t stain. So far, I’ve had no issue with that. I would recommend this stone for anyone who’s looking to cook delicious pizzas!.

This is a great value and I love that it’s made in France. It’s nice quality but not as easy to clean tough spills on as I thought it would be. Sauce from fish I was cooking in my oven dripped on the glazed portion of the stone and it baked on and it’s hard to remove.

I soaked the stained portions in water overnight and applied baking soda to spots with a scrubber and it still didn’t come off. I had to scrape the burnt on spots with a butter knife to get them off and they still aren’t gone 100%, but since my stone is black you can’t really see them.

Easy clean up, Overall heating is excellent! Gets really nice and hot. Cooks food or pizzas evenly. The crust of our pizza was crispy and crunchy. We probably, could of reduced heat and left it for longer so it wasn’t as crunchy but still tasted great! I love how sturdy and heavy the stones are, great quality.

I’m disappointed with the pizza stones in two ways. First, I am not happy since the rim is only half way, the pictures or description of the item did not address this fact. Secondly, the pizza sticks.

I have used corn meal and even tried greasing it, and they still stick. I tried calling customer service several times to return the items, no answer. So disappointed!.

Ordered and received the product at an overseas APO within a week. Product works as stated and is wonderful to utilize rather than a pan to make pizza. Great product, Great price, excellent service.

Good weight and glaze, just need to adjust marketing claim.

Came as promised and seems of quality workmanship

I have been learning how to make the perfect pizza using the peppered chef pizza stone and my crust was always soggy in the middle. So I too a chance and got this stone. Aside from the extra width to reduce chance of dripping, the thicker stone retains the heat and absorbs the moisture.

Now I get better pizza than in any restaurant, and I am from NJ. Trick is heat the stone for about 15 min at 500 degrees, while you stretch your dough and prepare the pizza. Be sure to spread out your corn meal under the dough and sprinkle some on the stone and the pie slides off and on easy.

Also, for best results, moderation with the toppings.

Worked great but no instructions I have a friend the told me to put it in the oven while heating the oven I would not have known that I left it in the oven and left it in scooped the pizza on to another serving platter lett the stone in the oven to cool with the oven worked great.

It made the crust more crispy that was what I was looking for and it worked.

Great pizza stone! It is a strong stone and does not require seasoning before using. Our pizza came out great in the oven. Next time, we will try on the grill. I have just used one time and so far looks good.

We have been making pizza at home for years now using a perforated metal pizza pan. We received this grilling stone and are amazed at the difference in the quality of the final product. We used the stone in our oven, preheating it at 475 for about an hour before we are ready to prepare the pizzas.

The pizza was fully made with sauce and toppings then we transfered it to the stone using a peel, dusted with a little cornmeal to prevent sticking. Once on the hot stone the dough began to bake immediately and was done in about 8 minutes.

The crust was super crisp with all the toppings melted and cooked through. We let the stone cool in the oven and once cold enough it washed up easily. It is dishwasher safe and can be used on a bbq grill.

We will not be going back to our outdated metal pizza pan.

This pizza stone is priced accurately. I wasn’t sure if I wanted a stone or not so I started with this cheaper one instead of the expensive high-end stones online. I make pizza from scratch and if it’s not cooked on the stone it turns out soggy.

Regardless of what the instructions say it HAS to be oiled for use or you WILL have a very hard mess to clean up. If there are parts that stick to stone just soak in water and scrape off with a plastic scraper or gently use a kitchen brush with NO soap.

Also do NOT preheat stone for use. Frozen instead of fresh pizza can be used also nuggets or corn dogs etc. Perfect for somebody wanting to try out a pizza stone before investing in a more expensive stone.

After replacing 2 broken lava stones I decided to try cast iron. Man am I glad I did! This thing is HEAVY duty and the perfect addition to my s-series. I love the ability to sear on it as well as using it as a heat deflector.

The legs are a perfect height to fit a drip pan under the rack for low and slow smokes. If you are tired of replacing ceramic deflectors, do yourself a favor and replace it with this!.

The ceramic place setter I got with my original green egg broke during a move. This was the perfect replacement. As with all cast iron, and distribute heat well. Care for it as you would any cast iron skillet and it will last forever.

Great stone for a great price. I was looking for a square stone that would cover 3/4 of one of my oven grates. I did not want a round stone. This stone fits the bill. Good size 15” square. Also came with instructions on washing and wear.

I bought this to use in my grill for pizza and baking bread. It’s nicely made and thick, so it seems like it will last a long time. I love it! I’ve used smaller, thinner pizza stones with varying success, but this is MUCH better.

It will probably be moved into the oven this winter.

Excellent product, but Walmart’s description wrong. This is a well-made pizza stone that can handle high heat and cooks a great pizza! It is larger than the typical pizza stone, but not as large as Walmart says.

keep reading. The Walmart description of this pizza stone is way-off. Walmart’s dimensions imply that this pizza stone is oblong – NOPE, it’s circular. Walmart’s dimensions indicate that it is at least 18 inches in diameter – NOPE, it’s 16.

5 (which turned out to be good because my oven, which is NOT small, could not have accommodated even 1 more inch! Walmart says it is 1. 90 inches thick – NOPE, it’s about 1/2 inch thick (2 cm). And, it weighs 8 lbs.

I purchased with the Q and it cracked after my first Pizza. HOW? not fun when you can’t use it every again. I called the company and nobody answered. where’s the customer service?

These are great! Just the perfect size for personal pizzas with the kids. We often use these with the kids and their friends for make your own pizza night. Perfectly crispy crust and nice even cooking.

They clean easily with warm water and an included scraper (or wooden BBQ scraper). We also use these on the BBQ for all sorts of things. I use them when making carne asada on the grill to heat the tortillas, pizza on the grill or oven, baking bread, naan or pita, baked potato chips, quesadilla, cookies… you name it!! Outgas it first!! Cook @ 500° for 3 hours. Keep windows open. Once that is done, its perfect. We love it!

I found this stone very difficult to buy locally so looked on this site and it came on time and I am now enjoying pizzas on the bbq I would definitely recommend this site and will use it again
